Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

EmeraldGail, the forever young.

As Ren places his hand onto her, his hand touches solid ‘flesh’, the same feeling that he got when Gail grabbed his hand before. This is strange, as she was still translucent and ethereal. She simply didn’t have much energy left in her, and her entire physicality was completely confused.

After around five minutes, her body becomes opaque again, and she barely manages to open her eyes. As she squints through pain and the light, she sees the vague outline of Ren.

“R…Ren?”

With that, she falls unconscious. However, even though her body is torn by the explosion and he breathing is harsh and painful, she seems…fine. Well, she seems medically stable. Despite the horrid wounds on her, she doesn’t seem fatally or even severely wounded. After all, she can’t die. She can be hurt though.

Roman Roman
Ren lifted his hand, looking at where he last had it. She was solid... But she didn't look it. Hearing Gail say his name, he grit his teeth. What was happening wasn't going well for her. He was able to do everything right, and at first it was working, but then something happened. Naturally his luck would effect everything, but seeing as how she was dead, it didn't. Picking her up once she fell unconscious, he took her to the infirmary where should could get some rest, and he decided to stay just in case he was to tell her what happened in case she forgot.

As the nurses argued in the corridor, clearly confused as to why this clearly living girl had the vital signs of a cadaver, Gail awoke around half an hour later. She groggily, and painfully, sat up and glanced at her body. Her clothes had torn in several places and the cuts had started to knit back together so much so that the blue smoke stopped leaking from them. They were still visible against her pale skin, but they now looked more like scars on a normal human body than tears in a ghost.

As she looks around, she sees Ren sitting over her. She reaches out to touch him, to see if he is real and if she is dead, but sighs disappointedly as her hand contacts his hand. With almost a tear in her eye, she slumps back onto the bed, clutching her stomach.

“I guess that didn’t work either then… I suppose you probably have questions about what transpired…”

She mentally prepares herself for the almost traumatic experience of reliving her death as she imagines she might have to explain why that went wrong. She is clearly depressed now, but she can’t say she is surprised. People have tried before to no avail, but she just blames herself for having hope in the first place.

After finally finding Keith, Han had come to the conclusion that he had died. First they take away his wife and family, and now the only friend he could go to for help at the time. He was beyond pissed now. His energy reaching a level far higher than one he reached in the past. "Not you too, Keith. Damn it..." Han's senses were far better than before and he heard a voice from in the sky. "It was you then..." He didn't turn to look at the man yet, but at the sound of the meteors, he turned and swung his sword, the force of the swing sent winds flying in every direction, cutting the meteors mid flight.

Han then floated up to the sky, looking at whoever this guy was. "I'll kill you." It was obvious Han was angry, but unlike before, his demon side didn't overpower him. He overpowered it. Maybe he was able to control it now, and use it as he pleased to boost his angel strength when needed. "I'll kill you right here and right now... I don't care who you are." Han then readied his blade, preparing for a fight.

"You idiot, you think you can stop us? Your BEYOND foolish. Our boss will take you down, his power is far above yours... And mine. Your going to be the one who's going to die!" He said as he approached him a running speed then dashed forwards, punching him in the gut. He prepared a block to his sword at the same time, expecting him to use it.

EmeraldKane, the Candyman.

“Yes, I like it. The kitchens are adequate enough, and while there may be a few bullies around, most people here are nice enough. Only thing is though, it’s easy to fade into the crowd here and become irrelevant. It happens, I guess.”

Kane seems a little disappointed that he can’t make as many friends as possible, since people don’t really notice him. He looks at Rosalie with a weak smile as he continues on with his response.

“It appears that I am the only Russian too, so making conversation can be quite difficult at times. What about you?”

Rosalie listened, nodding when he had finished "I do like it here, things here are nicer than my old school. I'm from the countryside too so living in a built up area like this is pretty interesting for me too" her voice chimed. Looking at him he seemed a bit sad about his answer, she had picked up on that too "I can't say that I understand 100% but I find making conversation difficult sometimes too. Not because I have little to say..." She laughed silently as the voice continued "I actually probably have way too much to say really now that I mention it. It's just having no voice of my own is an obstacle. I can only talk as I am now for so long until I get tired and can't use my abilities to do so anymore" she shrugged a little "When that happens not many people want to talk to me anymore. It's too much work I guess." Her voice sounded nonchalant about this fact. She wasn't one to admit when things bothered her, she never was. "Do you miss home?" She asked in response to him saying he was the only Russian in the school pausing for a moment she smiled sheepishly "Actually you don't have to answer that if it's too personal of a question for you" she added as she rubbed the side of her arm with her hand.

After her lunchwith her interesting new neighbor, Isuzu had returned to her own apartment to put away the remaining groceries that she had bought. To her dismay, some of her frozen snacks that she had bought and was looking forward to were now melted, forgotten as she interacted with her new neighbor friend. On top of that, the woman came to the realization that she had no alcohol left in the house either. Thankfully the store didn't seem to question her looks much and was willing to sell her alcohol anyways. So that meant that she'd have to head back to the grocery store. It would be the second time today that she would shop there, but this time seemed a lot more casual. Snacks and alcohol were always more fun purchases anyways. Getting her exercise walking to the store wasn't all that bad considering the end result. So, off she went again, making sure her apartment was locked and her key in a spot that she knew she'd be able to get to easily (thank you neighbor for giving a reminder to never lose them!). Once that was all settled, she headed out of the apartment complex and toward town, to the local grocery store.

Thankfully town wasn't all that far away from her apartment. Somehow in this area, the school, dorms, downtown, and other places to live were all fairly close to each other, as was another section of town that had things like beaches and amusement parks and a zoo/aquarium. It was convenient for everyone living here, and it made sense why the area would be so popular to live in, for both students and families alike. That's why it seemed like town was always so busy, just from the sheer amount of people that were in it. The school was prestigious enough to draw in all manners of life, so it also made sense that families would move into the area so their kids could have the best education possible. This was especially true for families with kids who were supers. And there were a lot of supers. Isuzu didn't mind the crowds, actually she kind of enjoyed it. She was never one for quiet rural living, the noise and the hustle and bustle of the town (which was more like a city, really) was more her style. The buzz of the people gave her energy, in a weird sense. Maybe it's because with everything going on, it was never truly boring. And boredom was what Isuzu hated the most.

She reached the city in less than a half an hour, which was good considering she planned on buying frozen treats and it was nice to know that they probably (?) wouldn't melt by the time she got home. Well, actually, it didn't matter, because she remembered she could just use her powers and just enhance the frozen state of the things she bought to make them stay that way longer. That way she didn't have to worry at all about them. With a smile Isuzu entered the store, initially grabbing a hand basket but then changing her mind and grabbing a cart instead. Truthfully she didn't really have a huge goal in mind with this trip. It was more of a "buy what looks tasty" kind of shopping trip, and as far as she knew that could very well fill up a cart like this. Better safe than sorry. Now armed with a cart, Isuzu began her walk around the store, looking for anything that looked delicious. This meant she'd make her way up and down every aisle, because she wouldn't want to miss anything of course. Passing by the produce section, she grabbed a bag of apples and grapes before making her way to the bread aisle. Here she picked up a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread and chocolate chip bagels. Both great breakfast foods, both delicious carbs. This continued throughout the rest of the aisles, including the alcohol section, where she made sure to pick up a bottle or two of whiskey, a few bottles of wine, and a few six packs of the fruity bottled stuff. Next came the frozen section, and Isuzu made a grinning beeline toward the ice cream. Into her cart went a fewtubs of ice cream and at least three boxes of popsicles, one of which she kept in the child seat section of her cart so she had something to snack on as she finished her shopping. Grabbing one out of the box, Isuzu looked at the contents of her now-full cart, content with what she had picked out. Now she could go checkout. Biting the corner of her popsicle, Isuzu made her way toward the front of the store, which meant passing by the deli section. In thissection was a scene she wasn't used to seeing: 4 carts, completely filled like her own, all belonging to the same person. It was an entertaining sight, as the carts all seemed to be connected to one another like a train, somehow held together by some kind of force. As she got closer, it became apparent that the force holding the carts together was some kind of smoke. Smoke...? Snapping her gaze up to the person they seemed to belong to, Isuzu's eyes widened in recognition at who it was. Breaking out into a big smile, she called out to him, giving him a wave with the hand not holding her popsicle.

"Fenris!~"

Fenris sighed as he looked through the cuts of meat, checking the tenderness and quality of each cut, doing mental calculations on the fat quantity, quality and location on each cut, envisioning how they would all cook and turn out when suddenly he heard someone calling out to him. Or atleast he figured they were trying to talk to him. There weren't many other people he knew named Fenris. Standing up he looked around before noticing a young girl holding a popcicle in one hand and waving at him with the other, and in front of her was a grocery cart filled to the brim like his, however unlike his they were filled with sweets and other luxery items. Taking a second glace Fenris remembered where he had seen her before. She had come to the hunting club one night. He remembered her because she had seemed really out of place for the type of bar it was. He also remembered her because she was real sweet, but wasn't afraid to have fun either. Shrugging and standing upright Fenris blinked and stared remembering that her name was Isuzu but was unsure of how to greet her. The last time he had seen her was right after she had sobered up from their one night stand. Walking towards her softly he looked her over once or twice, his eyes sharp like a wolf's during a hunt. He wanted to slide himself beneath those clothes of hers once more, but figuring that he didn't know how she felt about him he held himself back. Smiling at her gently while his eyes still held a hungering gaze he spoke softly. "Hey there Isuzu. You're looking well. I wasn't expecting to see you again anytime soon. Especially not here for that matter. Maybe my bar if anywhere. How have you been?" Waving his hand Fenris tugged on the thin strand of smoke causing the carts around him to line up neatly behind him.

(I found some spare motivation buried in a box in my basement. Let me get out a reply while it's still here.)
The cat reached its paw into the hole mewing desperately as it tried to reach the mouse it had trapped inside. Continuing to reach into the hole for another 30 seconds or so, the cat finally pulled it's paw out and turned back to the girl who had been petting it earlier with a pouting expression on its face before turning and looking at the shoelace she was dangling in front of him. His head swaying back and forth in time to the swinging of the string. Slowly crouching down as if to make him self harder to see, the cat sat there for another 10 seconds before suddenly bursting out like a bolt of kitty lightning, flailing at the string. However much against the cats expectations the string was merely batted aside and the cat went sprawling into the girls legs. Instantly popping back up and righting itself the cat turned around and threw itself at the string, only to bat it aside again. Turning back around the cat continued to throw itself in the hopes of catching that ever elusive string.

Claire watched the cat. She wasn't sure how many times she had called him cute in her mind, but she was sure it was more than she could count. It wasn't her fault, she loved animals, and the cat was one of the cutest she'd stumbled across. She watched how determined he was to catch the string, despite it always managing to escape him. She slightly made it swing side to side, teasing him with the fact he wasn't able to catch it.

Kane nods as he listens to Rosalie talking about her unfortunate silence. He felt bad for her, not being able to project a voice whenever she wants. Still, with her powers, she is luckier than most mutes he has heard of. When she asked him if he missed Russia, though, he smiles back at her.

“Don’t worry, its fine. I don’t mind talking about my home. I do miss the motherland but…I like it here. I like exploring new lands, new cultures. There’s so many new things here that you would never find in Russia. It’s great.”

Kane chuckles at his own answer. It sounded so cliché but he couldn’t deny the truth behind it.

“I assume you live nearby?”

Elysande sighed at the light show caused by Anancites. It used to always make her jump but she got over that a couple years prior. But, it still never ceased to amaze her. She gave a small smile and the towering creature before her and then watched as he dropped down to one knee, making him about the same height as Elysande. She heard his question and simply gave a wider smile. "Oh, nothing is the matter!" She replied cheerfully. Diamond always cheered her up. "You know I'm just always more comfortable with a giant Goliath of a guardian behind me." She giggled a bit, covering her mouth with her hand. "I rather have you at my side rather than in my pocket." She nodded slowly. She wasn't really sure of her truth within that statement. After all, the behemoth would certainly attract attention....and attention was the last thing that Elysande wanted.

As Diamond looks down at Elysande, he speaks to her in his usual gruff voice.

“And by your side I am. How are you coping with school life?”

Diamond already had a rough idea of how she was, but he wanted to hear it from her own mouth. He believes it to be important that she makes her voice heard, after all. He breathes deeply, as he flexes his fingers around his sword. He notices as the nearby people start to move away, mainly out of caution.

"Let's go to your place first. My place is... less interesting." She said meaning that her place was just an apartment. She wasn't sure what Ramona's place looks like. It would be interesting to know.
Ramona nodded and then placed a hand on Himeragi's shoulder. "Our place is pretty big. The head of the family lives there, along with his family and many others in our family who lived in the city moved in too. We figured it'd be better to stay in close range of one another than be spread out so far." She said before they appeared in front of a large gate. Soon a voice could be heard on the intercom above them, "Welcome home. The gate will open shortly." The gate then opened up and she looked at Himeragi. "Inside we go. If I'm honest with you, this place has sort of a castle like structure to it." Ramona then walked past the gates which led them to the pathway to the front door.

When Himeragi saw the place, her jaw dropped. This was nothing compared to her place. Such a rich life style. When Ramona started walking, it took Himeragi a moment to follow and catch up. As she looked around the place, it looked way more grand than Natsuru's mansion. It really does look like a royal palace. "My place is nothing like this..." Himeragi said as she was still in awe.

Suuy laughed as he tilted his head down, the shadows under his eyes growing before smiling evily and speaking. "I remain with CROSS as they still benefit me. Until they find whom I'm searching for I shall listen to their wishes, just as the rest of us generals do. You fuffiled Ribbons desire so she left. Cross has not fulfilled my desire yet so I remain. But as seeing how negotiations have broken down I shall speak no more!" Then with that another four suuy's appeared around Perfect and each with their right hand reaching thorough a seemingly floating mirror like surface. Simultaneously all five pulled their hands out from the mirrors and within each was some form of high caliber hand gun. Four of the suuys pointed their guns at Perfect's four limbs while the original pointed his at Perfect's stomach. Simultaneously pulling their triggers all five guns fired, however rather than bullets heavy metal rods flew out of the barrels of their guns. Each of the rods embedded themselves in Perfect's four limbs and stomach before sharp blades sprang out from the side of the rods, causing them to then twist and finally contract, causing the muscles to be knotted and tightened. By no means any kind of fatal wound, but rather a major inconvenience as any time those muscles moved they would cause intense pain. Then smiling suuy hopped backwards and spoke once more. "He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

Perfect remained silent, just standing there with his arms crossed as Suuy spoke. The conversation so far was just "CROSS this", "CROSS that". It was getting fairly old and boring at this point. "Ribbon's desire? If I recall correctly, she wants me dead. Dead by her own hand that is, but here I am. Alive... And perfect at that. That being said, I disagree." As soon as he finished speaking, he found himself surrounded, though he still had no reaction. He just smirked a little and let them do as they did.

Once the attack started, Perfect still didn't move. The metal rods had pierced him, and he mentally gave praise to such good aim, but yet still no reaction until they began to twist. Perfect looked up and with ease, he stuck his own hand into his body and tore out one of the metal rods, allowing for it to heal, and soon the others, his body healing right after. "You're still wrong. I'm the god of all. The bringer of what will be this planet's end. The bringer of destruction and death." Perfect then demonstrated his ability to move freely without taking damage. "Allow me to retaliate." Aiming his hand at one of the Suuy's, a large ball of energy started to form in the palm of his hand. "I won't kill you, because one Suuy down leaves more Suuys." The ball disappeared and Perfect started walking towards them, laughing a bit. "I prefer hand-to-hand. Is that okay with you?" He asked before taking one last step and appearing in front of one of Suuy's clones, grabbing his head and sent it down right into his knee before tossing him up high enough to be kicked out of the ring. "I must admit. Those metal rods made it slightly hard to move... I know to watch out for them now, but with my healing factor, it was easy to break free."

Ren was looking away from Gail when she woke up. He was a little upset about the failure of what had happened, and felt like it was his fault. It sucked. He was so sure it was working and then it backfired right in front of their eyes. It caused her pain, and he hated seeing others get hurt. When he felt something on his hand, he looked back over to Gail. He smiled, but he seemed less enthusiastic than before. The smile was faint, and it looked as if he were upset about the whole situation. "I do have questions... Not now though. I'd prefer it if you just took it easy. When you feel you're back to one hundred percent, then maybe I'll ask, okay?" He said, placing his other hand on her's.

Han didn't say anything. He gripped the sword tighter, preparing for battle and before he even knew it, he was punched in the stomach, but lucky for him, he was able to get a hit in himself. Han raised his fist, punching him right in the jaw, and then spin kicking him down towards the ground. "If I die, it won't be by you or any of your miserable friends. I'll destroy you all and then you'll see." He said, gathering energy within his blade before swinging, sending a large blue wave of energy at his opponent.

Cecil smiled and looked at their hands, thinking about it a bit. "Yeah, it'd be a real big help. Pay would be sufficient which is good for the people we hire too. We make a good amount for a cafe run by two people, and by hiring more people, service would only get better. Better service, more customers. I may not be big on the entire money making part of this, I mean after all, we opened the cafe for nostalgic reasons. It was our favorite, but its more than that to me now..." Cecil then laughed a bit. "I'm sorry, I started rambling... Getting off topic. Um.. Anyways, tomorrow we can head out and get a for hire sign unless you want to make one by hand, then we can do that too." He said, looking at Maya with a smile.
Maya listened to his words, a light smile beginning to form on her face as he began to ramble on about the café. She shook her head and giggled as he apologised, giving his hand a light squeeze as her smile grew "No need to apologise, It's not like I haven't gone off rambling before. I guess it's a habit we both have" she answered softly as they both walked out of the apartment "As for the sign, I'm sure I can make one. It'll definitely be seen too, there is always people from the high school looking for part time work" she said with a nod, a silence fell between them for a bit, not an awkward one, it was a rather calm one actually since Maya was just silently enjoying the spring air. After letting her mind wander a bit she subconsciously went ahead and broke the silence "I was just thinking earlier, we still haven't picked a date for the wedding or anything yet. Guess we were too busy for that too" she said, giggling softly.

Rosalie smiled back at him, sure it seemed like a cliche answer but it made perfect sense to her. She nodded when he asked did she live nearby "At the moment, yes. I live in the school dormitories. My actual home is a 5 hour drive from here, which isn't too bad, since I can still see my parents on occasion so I don't feel really homesick all the time or anything."

With what had happened with the government, we weren't sure if we could actually trust them so it was decided that this was the best choice. There's all kinds of things here, and we even have our own hot springs not too far from here. Everything we need is pretty close by, which is good." Ramona said, looking over at Himeragi. "It isn't? Me personally, I prefer the warmth and love of a smaller home... I guess having so many family members nearby makes up for it though." She then motioned for Hime to follow her up to the entrance.

Himeragi walked in as she continued to observe the massiveness of the interior. It was a little different than the other mansion, but again it seemed much more grand. She continued to follow Ramona throughout the place wondering how many live here.

After a few seconds they finally calmed down and the clone outside the ring calmly stood up and dusted himself off. "Well I suppose it fair that if you get knocked out of the ring you can't fight anymore right? Although I will say you need to read the Bible mate. So many references you're missing out on." Then turning he addressed the rest of the suuys. "Hey make sure you assholes get me out there again sometime soon. I wanna rematch this asshole." Then raising his right hand he placed the gun which he had managed to hold onto against his head and pulled the trigger. The iron rod penetrating his skull and killing him instantly. Seeing this the rest of the suuys once again started up laughing. Around 5 seconds passed before they finally calmed down. One of the suuys smiled and walked forward slightly before shrugging. "Hey man if you prefer to get up and personal with other men that's your thing." Then smiling he placed his arms behind his back before swiftly flinging them out in front of him. Separating from his hands, two large knives flew in curved arcs and accurately struck Perfects shoulders, one on each side. Then smiling the suuy dashed forward and spun around using his left foot as a rotation point, his right striking hard into Perfects gut. However at the moment of impact suuy's body seemed to swell slightly before exploding causing his kick to have the force of a small bomb causing Perfect to double over slightly. Then at that moment another suuy appeared in front of him, his knee swiftly rising towards perfects face and at the moment of impact the suuy detonated again causing Perfect to shoot back up right. And once more at the moment of detonation another suuy appeared in front of him. This one dashed forward and leapt up, his knees streaking out in front of him, accurately striking the hilts of the knives to drive them in deeper as his arms arced over and around Perfects shoulders accurately impailing another two knives taken from behind his back into the small of Perfect's back before that suuy as well detonated. Boredly tapping their feet the remaining three suuys stood there waiting to see how perfect would respond.

EmeraldGail, the forever young.

“…Okay…that’s fine.”

Gail smiles weakly at him before she closes her eyes on the bed. She didn’t know what to think. She was certain that a god must have enough power to cast her away, but at the same time…her curse only grows with time.

As she lay there in the light of the medical room, she couldn’t help a tear fall down her face. The tear was like Gail itself – strange and ethereal in nature and with a slight luminosity. It was also weak and fragile, bursting at the first contact onto the bed splattering slightly. She tried to hide her face from Ren, turning away from him while covering her face with her hands, as she just cried, letting out centuries of pain and torture in the process. Through the streaks of glowing water around her eyes and heavy breathing, she manages to croak out her weak, ethereal voice to Ren.

“Please don’t leave me. Everyone else has.”

“Ahh, I see. Yes, I can see how that would be good.”

If Kane was being honest to himself, he was feeling a bit jealous. Not necessarily of Rosalie, but of everyone who was able to visit their family without too much effort. He did miss his family and with the unfortunate wealth, or lack thereof, it was difficult to keep in touch with them.

However, he was still happy here. He was able to sprout his wings freely here, using his powers as often as he likes rather than in secret like back at home. He loved it – using his creations to cheer people up. It felt good to him. It felt right.

As the pair continued on their walk, he looks at Rosalie again.

“What’s your family like? If you don’t mind telling, of course.”

Himeragi walked in as she continued to observe the massiveness of the interior. It was a little different than the other mansion, but again it seemed much more grand. She continued to follow Ramona throughout the place wondering how many live here.
Ramona looked at Himeragi, a smile on her face. "Hey you like video games, don't ya? We have an entire room where you can game, I mean, yeah you can play video games in private in your own room, but sometimes the gamers in my family like to link up and play together. I'll show you were." She said, pointing to a door to the far left. "That way~"
