Fandom The elder scrolls: A new god

Normally Larinea took pride in her generally reliable knowledge of most things but what these two were talking about was going well over even her head. "Well I have no clue what you two are babbling on about... I'd say we should just get going but for obvious reasons I'd prefer to wait a few hours before we leave" the bosmer said. "Are we waiting on anyone else? Anyone eavesdropping from outside or tied to the ceiling?" she questioned, once more quipping about the Tsaesci hiding in the corner, though in all honesty she didn't really care that much, she just wasn't one to keep quiet for very long. A thought crossed her mind and she sat up rather suddenly, "How long with this take?" she asked, she only had one drink's worth of her blood potion left and if she was to make more she'd need more black souls, since she had only a single empty gem left.

Vollas looked at the woman who summoned them here he stood up and looked at the group "Consider him dead where is he and how do we kill him will Dawnbreacker work on him since it's a Deadric artifact" He said looking at the woman hoping it would. By god he would love to cave in the face of that insignificant god wannabe. He is also willing to kill any necromancers along the way. "if what you say is true am i allowed to kill as many Necromancers as possible" He said he wanted clarification that he is not only allowed to kill this god but is allowed to kill the worshipers of this god as well.

Vollas then looked at the others "I don't care about your choices but im going also one more thing" He looked at the woman "is the person who killed my parent's there as well" He said, that was the big one. If the person who killed his parent's was where they are going then he is defiantly going to go there whether he was going to die or not.

Iora smiled though in this case it was the kind a predator might give they would love the answers she was going to give. While Iora had little hate for necromancers they were just another kind of spell caster to her the worm cult was a different issue they had earned her hate.

" Kill them soul trap them, torture them, do whatever you want with the worm cultists and those in our way they have earned their deaths with their actions." Iora explained this might even be a good way to keep their vampiric bosmer nice and topped off on blood at least the cultists would be useful for that. " As for the time frame I am hoping it will take under a year there will be a lot of travel ahead I am sure and once we are all ready we can leave "

"Madame before we prepare ourselves to leave Skyrim for a journey for the Adamantine Tower, do tell us something about yourself. We know that you're a Dwemer and that you possess a lot more knowledge then any of us here combined of the Towers of Nirn, but still I would like to know more before we place our trust in you and head West. What's your name for example, madame?"

Gillan did have more trust in Iora and the Bosmeri Vampire then the other individuals that would travel with him. For a moment, his thoughts were filled again with the memories of the battles that he had fought back in Morrowind under the employ of Archmagister Vorar Ecuvaletion when they had captured the town of Suran from the corrupt House of Hlaalu, but also the horrors he had witnessed during the massacre of Davon's Watch when the Saxhleel army slaughtered both the city's garrison and its entire population.

" Ah yes how rude of me my age is showing" Iora said despite looking young she was likely one of the oldest beings around " my full name is Ioragzis Ynzagarn, first generation of my family to be born below skyrim with all others having been from morrowind." She explained using conventional names to make sure everyone was on the same page. " I was in my peoples research and development, something everyone else seems to lack, during the war of the crag. I worked primarily with the use of aetherium in weapons and armor. My weapons and armor are examples of my work and while i am no great tonal architect i think i did a good job working with it." She glossed over her feelings towards the whole slavery and falmer issues which were not really things she cared about " Now during this time i happened to look for some aethrium as after a few wars we lost most of our supplies and lets say i went to deeply and found some wheels and gears. Then there was the vanishing act and i had my guesses as tot he cause so i went to morrowind to see if i was right i think i was and i nearly got myself killed by the tribunal, they were not yet gods at that point, and i joined Sotha sil after i found him to be my best option for a place to stay." She said " The rest is history i guess".

After hearing the extremely long time this was liable to take, Larinea did some calculating, "great... I'm going to need quite a lot of feedings worth... I should've stayed home" she thought to herself, thinking all this, as spectacular as it all sounded was making her think it was more trouble than it was worth. "Very interesting... I'm not being sarcastic really it's quite interesting, I never imagined I would meet a dwemer, but I'm a bit preoccupied now because if I'm going to be with you all for an extended period I'm going to need to make more of my blood potions, getting blood is easy it wouldn't take me two days to gather enough from animals to last a while but I need black souls to preserve them or they won't last week and black soul gems aren't exactly a commodity." she explains.

" If you need blood you can take mine until a better source is found. That source I suggest be the necromancers who also are well known for having black soul gems it is their god's power that makes them after all. " Iora suggested, few it seemed realized that black souls gems had only really been around since the second era, seeing most exposure after the Oblivion crisis. " If you fear infecting me I know some alchemy so I can fix it before it becomes an issue" She said thinking that the girl might worry about spreading the illness and would have no problems with accepting blood offered willingly.

With a devious look on his face, Gillan gazed with his crimson eyes into those of the Bosmeri Vampire. Back in the time when Gillan was in Port Telvannis serving under Archmagister Ecuvaletion, Gillan had several vampiric figures as friends and was always interested in the dark gift that his friends possessed. Though some of his vampiric friends advised againts it, the former battlemage had the ambition of one day turning into a creature of the night and experience possibilities that it would give him. But in just mere seconds, the devious look on the Dunmer's face faded and was replaced with a worried one, Gillan wasn't afraid of the necromancers that lived in the West, but for their most ancient and powerful leader. Gillan had never met the King of Worms in person, but even hearing the name of the ancient Altmeri lich made the Dunmeri battlemage rather uncomfortable, though there was something that made him feel better. When Lord Seht's full name was mentioned by Iora and told them that she had actually worked under the employ of the Tribunal Magician. Although he had no actual reason to either trust her or distrust her, Gillan felt that both Iora and himself could still learn something from one another. Eager to leave the Snow Throat and head for the more warm lands of the West, Gillan asked.

"Seeing that the college won't have much need of me, I would be glad to aid you in your quest, madame. So when shall we leave?"

Larinea shook her head at the dwemer's offer, "Sorry but I'll have to say no" she answered, though not quite for moral reasons. "I appreciate the offer but it's not entirely a matter of not wanting to infect others or anything, I just plain hate the taste of blood." She explains, a brief look of disgust crossing her face for a moment just thinking of it. "I don't get how other vampires like it... That's why i use animal blood for my potions, doesn't quite satisfy the hunger as well but it's a lot more bearable for me than people's blood not to mention a whole lot easier to get a hold of without problems, plus with you all here I won't have to drag the carcass somewhere a predator or other hunter will get it" she explains, she'd always hated the thought of wasting the meat and everything of the animals she hunted, but she simply had no real need of it herself besides the blood after all.

Her keen eyes noted the dunmer's gaze at her, she gave no indication she noticed, not even glancing his way, but she made a mental note to be wary around him from now on. She'd seen similar glances from time to time on the rare occasion people realized what she was, and she wasn't going to let her guard down around someone like that.

Disappointed in the refusal made by the Bosmeri Vampire for Iora's offer, Gillan turned back to the Dwemer and spoke.

"It's a shame to see this most useful creature of the night leaving this chance behind her, but do not worry madame, I will remain at your side. So I ask you again, when shall we leave for the West?"

" Well then assuming no one must go home and gather things we can leave today, I happen to know a way to remedy our little black soul gem problem. " she said she wasn't going to just leave these people behind she had need of them or most of them as a few had said nothing for the longest time well some people refused the call with a battlemage and a vampire she could hopefully do what was needed.

" Gillan do you have any empty grand souls gems?" She asked anyone who knew how black soul gems were made would have some idea of what she wanted to do, though they would still need a proper alter, but even in skyrim there were dark places where necromancers hid and worshiped.

In the halls of High Hrothgar

"Apologies madame, I only have two greater soul gems."

The former battlemage of House Telvanni took them out of his robe and placed them on a table made out of grey cold stone. The crimson eyes of Gillan gazed at the greater soul gems and wandered if he would ever enter the mysterious realm known as the Soul Cairn.

" Well then looks like we will just stop by whiterun the court mage should have a few grand soul gems as those are the only ones the ritual works on" Iora said with a shrug they could solve the problems there and make a few it wasn't like the lacked gold for buying such things, it made her miss the depths of black reach where she could mine such gems.

" Oh and no need to be so formal Iora will do " She said with a soft smile as she stood up and got her helmet " If no one else has any objections we can head out now that we have our stops planned and a good enough time frame"

"Useful creature? excuse me?" Larinea snapped, "Do you have the slightest idea what's it like to deal with this... this CURSE?!" she shouted, slamming her palm into the table. "When it HURTS just to exist under sunlight!? Do you know where I live? in a cave! Because the last time I tried to live around other people I nearly lost it to my hunger and nearly attacked a child! So you'll forgive me if i don't jump at the chance to turn someone who damn well might well be the last dwemer into walking blood cattle!" she ranted, baring her fangs as she glared at the dunmer. "I couldn't care less if you want to ruin your life with it but don't you dare say another damn thing like that around me again!" she snarled.

The halls of High Hrothgar

A short smile appeared on Gillan's face again as he was amused of the Vampiric Bosmer's statement. Every Vampire that Gillan had known in Port Telvannis saw their undead form as a blessing, a new way of excisting. The former battlemage looked sharply with his eyes at the Bosmer and quickly realised that she wasn't a full blooded Vampire as those belonging to the ancient, powerful and mysterious clan that lived in the north, somewhere between the fog. Though unimpressed by her foolish threat, Gillan still tried to calm the Bosmeri Vampire.

"If it is a blessing or a curse to be creature of the night, is something that could be debated by only those who are Vampires. I do apologize if I offended you, madame but remember that this is a place of peace. Besides attempting to bite the last female Dwemer would be a bad idea. If you don't wish to aid Lady Iora in her quest, then please leave us in peace."

Iora couldn't help but smile a little their little vampire didn't quite get the sickness she was afflicted with and how Iora would not be turned even if she was bitten there was a 72 hour period before the vampirism truly took and one became a vampire. Still the battlemage did seem to have a hard time getting along with others, though that seemed to just be a dunmer thing, of course had her people still been around they would be even worse.

" Both of you quiet down " She said still calm " There is no need to be at each other's throats I have selected each of you because you are needed. I have offered each of you a reward you want most, from gold to a cure for such an affliction if you want it, but you will not get that until we save Memory . She said in an authoritative tone " Now any other complaints or questions I don't want to miss the reverent just because we couldn't play nice"

Larinea sat back in her seat, glaring for a few moments at the dunmer who'd offended her, before letting out a long sigh as she closed her eyes. "You can't cure me... I doubt anything can..." she muttered, "I spent nearly 30 years looking for a cure... I'm not entirely sure of the exact strain of vampirism I have, given my abilities and symptoms during day and night it's any of about two dozen and that's only what I know of, whatever one it may be is extremely resilient, every commonly known cure has failed me, and several other less reliable ones have failed me as well" she explained, her voice going quiet near the end. "The only one I know for sure has the same strain as me is the one who infected me and I never even got her name... she apologized for attacking me and fled, probably afraid I'd try to kill her or have someone else do it."

that is because it is no longer a normal sickness, vampires are the children of Molag Bal he could remove it if he so desired but the prince of domination isn’t one to give things out for free. That is besides the point there are ways to remove full blown vampirism but they are very rare and normally involve sacrifice, but that can be talked about latter. ” Iora said as she put her helmet back on they would be leaving soon as well it they all fought this much even if the argonian was rather quiet no doubt a bit intimidated by all the talk.

Do you have any questions my scaly friend?” She asked looking over to no doubt cold lizard man.

@ScaraByte

Larinea glared at the dwemer woman, " you think i don't know that? you think I tried to cure the disease that causes it? I know damn well what I was doing, and nothing worked, and really? Molag Bal? You think he's going to take pity and help me just because? Because he is oh so well known for being kind and helpful isn't he? Best case scenario he demands some horrid atrocity be committed in his name and worst case he might kill me just for bothering me, I am no Daughter of Coldharbour, I have no allegiance to the lord of domination nor any of the other princes and I have no qualms of announcing it, if there was anything vaguely close to a well known cure i've probably tried it already, when i said I spent nearly 30 years searching, i don't mean the better part of 30 years or 30 years on and off, I mean I quite literally spent near 3 decades of time doing nothing but searching for a cure" she snapped.

She shifted her gaze towards the corner, staring at nothing in particular, she just didn't want to look at anyone right now. She was getting increasingly frustrated and was beginning to consider abandoning Iora's mission because of it. "I highly suggest we just leave before you people make me change my mind about helping you"

There is more than daedra and aedra, there are more cures than stars. I know a way that will cure you of anything even death, but to explain it I will use a story as even you can see the effects of the power. Everyone knows Cyrodiil is a temperate grassland of rolling hills and plains, but it was not always so until the third era it was endless jungles. You may ask what force made it change well it was one man Tiber septim otherwise known as Talos. He was a man true but he did become a god , a dead god whose heart became a stone of a tower that is mantling to become someone so close to another that reality says you are the same. That however is not the power that changed the heart of the empire.” Iora explained anyone could tell she just loved stories and most would find her stories odd a man becoming a god because reality couldn’t figure out if he was a dead go or was a man so much he became the dead god. “ Let me show you the power of Talos, Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter. I breathe now in royalty and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, Red Legions, for I love you.” Iora quoted any follower of Talos would know this verse though few would understand it. “ That is more than just a preachers verse that was a message that few would understand Talos attained true royalty, something called CHIM which is royalty and with that he told reality that Cyrodiil was not a jungle but a grass land and it was so. That is how you will be cured because reality will be told you are not a vampire ” Iora explained when she was finished she started towards the doors.
