I did not realize how much I was reading the old form until it went away.


Just reading other peoples posts helped with the game I am in since it is the first Exalted campaign for the entire group. But the GM modified the world so we can't read the books and expect what to happen, but other then that it is still mostly the same.


I hope this form becomes just as good.

When I came to the Compendium years ago it was actually a pretty decent place. The tone was polite and civilized and everyone was eager to help and discuss. It struck me as the only forum I had been to, where I actually wanted to participate. Guess things changed : )

You changed more than the Compendium did. I have been posting on it the way I did for years, and TSJ even longer than me. Trying to create an idyllic past for it (by your standards) is a bit silly.

So here I am, also offering introductions. I left the compendium quite a while ago, under a different name - I never quite had the time to devote to it.  As someone who had been a lurker since the begining, if a very infrequent participant, I'd like to participate in it's ressurection.  Perhaps, with a little more participation, we can create something with a little bit less of the tripe that plagued the compendium.  At the very least, I suspect we can shed a lot of the chafe members.

I would also suggest for content management you look at PHPnuke and Post nuke both are very good at allowing user submissions and content management.  It also allows for themes and uses phpbb as its forums.  I have done some programing for it before for a guild website for Dark ages of camelot and it is what i use to run my rarely used website.

I would also suggest that you contact those Exalted websites that have the compedium listed and ask them to change it to this site.  I found it through Alabrax's Exalted Fan site, but  alot of other sites i tried pointed me to the old site that no longer exists.


From a name cost idea you can create an address at www.no-ip.com in the .org or .info range for free and it will forward it to whatever server instead of having to buy a domain name.
