The EC Is Dead! Long Live the EC!

Flagg

The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment
By the looks of it, the Exalted Compedium (exalted.rpgcompendium.com) has died. Perhaps permanently. However, even if it were to resurface, it's  a long neglected and broken site. This page is an attempt to ressurect the Compendium.

There will be a lot of work to do, and I will be looking for user input to guide the growth of the site. More posts on that to follow.

In the meantime, the site is considered under HEAVY construction, so please be patient. Many things are likely to change drastically from one day to the next in the coming weeks.

Feel free to resume discussions about Exalted in the other forum.

Perhaps, the EC may be dead... and this may be its replacement. The thing is, the EC was always far more then just a forum, nice as it may have been.

Submissions should be considered, along with the interface.

Hey there Haku. Good to see another EC refugee.

As to adding additional content, we shall see. My first priority is to get the forums up and running smoothly. I want to build the site with input from the users, so if there's a demand for anything in particular, it will be considered... in time.

Hmmm. Figured I should show some support or something... so... yeah.

I agree with Haku. I know a lot of people had the opposite opinion, but the archive of fan creations was always my favorite part of the site, much more so than the forums.

If actual submissions ARE considered, I would hope they have SOME sort of approval system this time. The utter rubbish that ended up in the last Compendium's databases was often pathetic.

Heck, I might have actually used the submissions if crap like Haku's overpowered shit hadn't been mixed in. He was really... oh hi Haku!

And that was me. Odd. I had thought I had logged in.
Don't worry, simple login programs are deceptively difficult to utilize. No one here thinks less of you for it I'm certain.

Autologin isn't working for me incidentally. It works on Nocturnis, which seems to use this very (or a very superficially similar) forum system, but they may have altered the code to some extent.

If anyone has contact info (email, AIM, etc) for some of the old EC regulars who may not know about this project, please send them a note.

Thanks.

I think I can pass word on to Tany, Vizz and Grog... but then Joseph already have their address... and can do so... since he's such a nice teddybear. ^_-

Fuck you, I'll do nothing of the sort.

Well, I'll see Grog tomorrow for the game, and Tanya will probably be on tonight, so I'll tell them, but I'll be fucked if I send out an email on top of that. Vizzeroth is all yours.

Glee!

Hopefully we'll begin to reassemble the community into something worthwhile. Kudos to you, Stillborn, for creating a new home for the Compendium!

I also miss the WONDERS section of the old forums. I was just starting to get my groove on with artifact building..*cries* I fortunately kept archives of all my useful (and not-so) thingies. Also, I've got a bit of artwork I can donate to the site, Still, should you desire it. Send me an email.

Hi all, glad to see some sweet incarna has given us a home again!

Actually I'd be pretty glad to have the wonders and charms sections back just so I could finally rework the ones the EC wouldn't let me update.

Well... fuck... Joseph, you're a useless teddybear then...

Yeah... I'll get Vizz... anyone remember how to contact TSJ?

Yet another refugee from the sinking ship, the S.S. Exalted Compendium. Nice place you got going here Still. Thanks for putting all this together.

A lament...

Exalted Compendium, I shall miss you sorely... But good riddance anyway.

When I came to the Compendium years ago it was actually a pretty decent place. The tone was polite and civilized and everyone was eager to help and discuss. It struck me as the only forum I had been to, where I actually wanted to participate. Guess things changed : )

Everything changes. I guess the EC's time had come. This is a great initiative, btw - thank you Still for taking it, I think it's about time to start over again.

I'll be lurking around and watching the progress : )

Idea

Btw, the titles from the EC were great. Extremely geeky, but nifty. Really brought out the seven-year-old in me : )
