The Doghouse

Max nodded and dropped the toy. "I.. I should probably check on my sister... see if she's alright." He ran inside, making mudtracks on the floor on accident. "Camille! Camille!" The little pup jumped up when she heard her name. "Yes?" She asked, yawning.

(Ami... if you could, could you make your posts longer please?)

(Kodye77- please don't write that. This is a place to rp, not ask if anyone is here. Someone eventually comes by, so you don't have to ask if anyone is there. If you could, could you please edit your post and write something that your character says?)

Once Camille saw who waked her up, her eyes narrowed. "Why.. did... you... wake.. me.. up?" She growled and lept at Max the pup sidestepped to the right and laughed as the pup hit the floor.

( Yeah, sure, sorry )

Miki continued to sit outside, staring at the sky. Later she decided to check on Max and Camille herself, so she ran inside to join the siblings. "Hey Camille! Sleep well?" She glanced at her other friend and stifled a laugh.

Camille looked at Miki. "Yes, I did." She then turned towards Max, to see that the lower part of his body was covered in mud, and so was some of the floor. "Max! Look what you have done to your coat and to the floor!" SHe growled. "Your coming with me." She barked and went outside, making sure to use the steps towards the pool. "Get in."

Max lowered his head and walked after Camille, making sure to follow her. "ugh. fine." He grumbled and jumped into the pool, splashing around until he got all of the mud off. Once that was done, he got out and took the steps to the house. "Bossy." HE whispered to the lab as he walked into the house.

Miki smiled. "You were pretty dirty," she said humorously. She glanced at the muddy floor. "You think we should clean that up? I'm not very fond of dirty floors myself, ya know," The lab sat near the doorway and wagged her tail happily. She wasn't very fond of standing still, either.

Fritters was woken from his peaceful nap by his fellow dogs' conversation. He stretched lazily, yawning as he did so. There was nothing better than sleeping in the middle of the day. Except maybe chasing cats, but he hadn't seen many of those pesky things recently.

He took in the mud-soaked floor and raised his eyebrow at the other dogs. "Oh dear, did I miss the party?"

As Camille came in, she saw that Fritters had woken up. Oh no! He's up! I'm a mess! THe pup freaked out and ran outside, jumped in the pool, got out and before coming in the house, dried herself off.

Max nodded at Miki and started to clean the floor. As Fritters asked a question, he laughed. "No... Miki and I were just playing around being Mudballs."

Softly padding into the house, she smiled. "Good morning." She said, her eyes twinkling. "Did you have a good nap?"

Miki smiled at Fritters and nodded. "Yeah. Any good dreams?" She said warmly, still helping Max clean the messy floor.

Fritter's pawed at his left ear boredly. "Dreamt I was being dropped into the ocean, if that counts as nice."

He frowned at the window. "If I had it my way, I'd sleep through boring days like this. Though living in a place like this, I suppose there'll be plenty more to come. A top dog like me needs to live the high-life."

With another yawn, he trotted past the other dogs, careful to avoid the muddy puddles around them, and out into the garden. If he was going to be stuck in this place, he may as well explore a bit. Who knows, maybe he'd find something worth staying for.

Miki blinked. "Okayyyy... I guess that counts." She muttered, sitting and stretching her paws out. She let out an enormous yawn before reporting, "Floor's done,"

(Voyla- please, if you're not putting your character sheet and/or talking for your characters, don't write that stuff.)

Camille shook her head 'no'. "That's not a very good dream." She said. As the pup went to the flowers, she followed. As they were walking through the roses, Camille stopped. "That one's my favorite." She smiled, looking up at a bright red flower that stood out from all the rest, then she looked at Fritters. "Excuse me for my awful manners! My names Camille, what's yours?"

Miki looked at her friend talking to that other pup, but quickly turned her gaze to Max. She grinned excitedly. "Now what do you want to do?" She asked.

Fritters looked at the the flower, then at Camille.

"I'm... Fritters." he replied, almost hesitant to give away the embarrassing name his previous owner had stuck him with. "And I'm not interested in flowers"

He shambled over to the bright red rose and liften his leg up, careful to avoid the thorns. After urinating on the flower, he proclaimed "This garden will be claimed in the name of Fritters!"

"Fritters..." Camille thinks. "Thats a nice name! I like it." She tells the pup, then sighs. "Most pups aren't interested in flowers either. I'm mostly... the only one that is." A trickling sound starts to buzz in Camille's ears and she sees the pup peeing on her favorite flower. "No!" She cries and pushes the pup away from the flower garden. "Why? Why did you have to do it on my flower? Why did you have to do it in the garden when you weren't supposed to? Why?" The pup lays down in the dirt, crying.

Fritters yelped as he was knocked to the ground by the livid pup. He blinked in surprise and studied Camille's wailing form.

"Hey..." he began, awkwardly, "it's just a flower... I mean... I probably did the thing some good...."

"I know its a flower... but It's my flower." The pup replied to Fritters. "Its special to me and now that you have gave it the wrong type of water, the color might change...." She got up from where she was and ran towards a tree. She went behind it, and soon disappeared down a shoot that nobody knew about. It was her underground hiding space where she could be alone.

Fritters watched Camille disappear behind a tree. He huffed indignantly. She was a weird one, alright. Flowers and secret hiding places, he didn't really know how to deal with this one.

Oh well, he shrugged as best a dog can and turned back towards the house. Exploration had gone wrong, the only other option was to return to home-base and consider his next move. Also food. Food was always top priority. With a little shake of his rear, he leapt through the dog-door and dived for his bowl.

Camille'd chill out eventually.

Seeing Fritters come back, Max walked up to him and moved the bowl, having Fritters fall on his face. "You don't want that food." He laughed, helping the pup up. "I'll get'cha somethin'." He spoke, then darted into another room, coming back with a steak cut into fours. "One piece for you, one for Miki, one for me, and one for Camille." The pup smiled, pushing the piece towards the name that he said to, putting Camille's next to where she sleeps. "Eat up!" He said, and ate his piece before any of the others could steal his. "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! That was yummy!" Max laid on his back and patted his stomach. "Say..." Max smirked, standing up and scooting towards Fritters. "How'd your 'date' go?" He smiled.

Fritters grumbled in irritation as he was knocked down for the second time in less than ten minutes. But as soon as the aroma of steak hit his nose, he was feeling a lot better. He devoured the meat at a leisurely pace before turning to Max and grinning, "You're my kind of dog, bro. I could get used to this."

His grin slipped when the other dog brought up the incident in the garden.

"Not even. She's totally weird. Who's ever heard of a dog getting protective of a flower? Not me. I don't even think she's a dog, dude. I bet she's really a bee or something. I mutated freak of a bee." he felt a bit mean once the words had left his mouth, but he stood by them. Fritters just wanted to go about his business without getting decked by flower-hugging hippie-dogs. Was that too much to ask? Apparently.

14hca14: please do not post on here until you are accepted! I am very serious about this and I do not like that you have posted before I have accepted you. Since you are not accepted yet, everyone will be ignoring your post. You are starting to irritate me, and I suggest that you read the rules/instructions so that you are more familiar to this site. I hope you understand.

Max smiled as Fritters complemented him. "True... My sis- Um... I mean Camille can get a little protective over roses... but that's okay, right? Some dogs have interests in digging, and others enjoy flowers." Max nodded his head approvingly at what he said, but was somewhat irritated with what Fritters said. "Is Camille behind that tree?" He asked the pup.

Fritters nodded in reluctant agreement, completely missing what Max had almost revealed. "Whatever you say, man. Guess it's better than the alternative. Once, I met a dog who liked to eat his own poo. Give me flower-power any day of the week."

He raised an eyebrow curiously at his companion's inquiry after Camille's location.

"Was when I left" he said, "why, you want her for something?"

He paused for a moment, eyes widening as though he'd just had a great realisation. "Dude, you got the hots for Camille or something?"
