Realistic or Modern The Dead among us

Emi smiled at Charlie, "well I'm Emi." She introduced herself. She rolled her eyes at Phillip, "can you just shut your face" Emi snapped at him. When Jessica entered Emi stood up, "Jess you know I'm a good judge of character. When you're done helping that little girl can you help Charlie? I could have been bitten, and he saved me. I wouldn't have broughten him here if he was bad..." She said quietly and Jess shook her head, "I need to carterize that little girls arm, " she walked over to the fire and set her sisters blade over the little fire so it heads up.

Emi looked at Charlie with a frown, her sister was clearly stressed and looked like she wanted to leave, "my sisters going to snap. So all of us need to stop arguing... or she's not gonna help any of you who are hurt..." she sat down and covered her face. She's never felt so out of place, it was just her snd her sister... theyve come across so many bandits snd she knew Charlie wasn't one.

Sage didn't have anything else to do, her brother, and rain had gone off in search of firewood. Sage suddenly remembered her Geometry book that Justice made her study sometimes. She pretended to hate it, but really studying the book and solving the problems offered her a piece of the old world. Sage went to Justices backpack, and got it out along with a pencil she used to mark on the pages.

As odd as it seemed, Sage began working on her geometry by the fire.

"He seems alright, but I'll admit he's a bit suspicious." Justice said picking wood off the ground. I'm not sure what I think of anyone at this point, I gotta protect Sage and I can't let my guard down.

Phillip began scanning the room and noting everyone in the rag tag group, he also thought of who just left to go get wood, he was determining roles for everyone.

Justice and Jessica seemed like fine leaders, he had no problem with that. Charlie most definitely was going to be the one to protect us all, which was one of the reason Phillip seen him as a threat. Sage, Emi and Rain all seemed useful, as they had seemed knowledgable for the time he had spent with them. Now Phillip had no real role he could give himself... He started thinking that the now armless little girl would have more power over him. He let out a sigh of sadness, not only was he unable to move for the time being, but he was also seen as the weakest member of the group, at least in his eyes.

He had no reason to hate Charlie, he just couldn't trust him, and he seemed to grab all the girls' attention the moment he stepped in, whereas Phillip was thanked by throwing up his own blood. I guess being lonely in terms of a relationship was getting to him, and Sage, the one girl in the group who he had interest in, probably could care less about him.

"honestly I dont like him he's an asshole who thinks he's the only one who has been in this world."She says back to him."and honestly I wish I could just throw my axe in his face but I don't want to scar anyone."

"Sorry" Charlie said to Emi, as he leaned forward only to have a sharp jolt of pain shoot through his shoulder again. He tried to stifle his grunt as best he could but it wasnt to hard to hear. The bleeding from his wounds had slowed but it hadnt stopped. He tore off part of long sleeved sand grey shirt and wrapped it around shoulder which was bleeding the most. He knew maybe he had probably made a bad impression to the group, or atleast half of them, a few seemed to like him which he was grateful for.

Gracie-Anne ambled aimlessly through the clusters of trees, on her back she could feel the unsteady wobble of her backpack and in her shoes she could feel her feet aching. With a glum expression, she looked at the ground and gave a resigned sigh. She'd been wondering around without rest for what seemed like weeks, not to mention her backpack was growing lighter as she ran lower on supplies.

((I hope it's okay I bring my character in now?))

When the blade had been hot enough Jessica looked around the room for potential helpers, when she saw how sad Phillip looked she went over to him, "I need you to hold down that little girl." she helped Phillip up and led him over to where the girl lay, "I need you yo keep her arm down... Emi, come hold down her legs."

Emi frowned at Charlies wounds, "Don't apologize, I think Phillip is on his period" she made a light joke. When hernsister called for her, she scooted over and held down the little girls legs. She still didn't know her name, she sighed and closed her eyes.

"Stuff something in her mouth so the only loud noise she'll be making is from her throat." Jessica ordered and grabbed the knife which was instead of gold, now red from the fire. She started pressing the flat part of the knife on the girls wound, "its a good thing I haven't killed anything with that knife..." Emi said quietly... Jessica just shook her head as she helped the child.

"do you think this is enough wood"Rain asked hopeing to get inside not liking it out here where she isnt near her sister who are with complete strangers.

Phillip scowled at Emi "you know, I'd appreciate it if we didn't direct all of our hate towards me, that'd be great thanks," he still was unsure of how he fit in the group, but it was his fault for getting himself dragged into it. He stuffed a torn piece of cloth from one his shirt into the child's mouth just asJessica started treating the wound, he couldn't stand the noises she was making, he looked away and waited until the job was done, his ankle still hurt like hell, but he knew he would be last to get treatment, he was the least wounded and definitely not the most liked in the group. Once the wound was cauterized he looked at Jessica "she gonna be okay?" He asked with slight concern on his face.

Sage laid on the hardwood floor of the church. She had given up on the Geometry book, and it laid beside her. Despite the small fire, the church was beginning to get cold. It was torwards the end of November, but Sage was still wearing clothes only equipped for October.Sage stood from her spot on the cold hardwood floor, and began wondering around the church. The church wasn't very small, but the group stayed in the sanctuary of the church. The church actually expanded to a small lobby and a upstairs. Justice had warned Sage not to go up there before, but now she crept up the stairs , looking for supplies. Up the stairs was a small corridor , at the end of the corroded was a opening space for what seemed like a church kitchen. Sage walked down the hall cautiously, there was just enough light for sage to see a little bit. She almost began searching the place, but them decided she shouldn't be up here alone. She walked down the stairs. "Hey Philip? Wanna help me with something?" She said barely concealing a smile.

"Just as I sit down," he smirked at Sage and struggled to get up but he managed. He examined the stairwell and then down to his ankle. Shit. "Think this place has an elevator ?" He asked her jokingly, walking over to where she was slowly and carefully. He began to try and walk up the stairs, but if it meant spending time alone with this girl, and away from the rest, the pain was worth it. He brought his knife a long just in case.

((On my phone so words may be misspelled, or autocorrect might screw me over, just a heads up aha ))

MacKenzie could hear the girl who first helped her ask the boy named Phillip to come help her but MacKenzie didnt want Phillip to leave she liked him and thought he was her friend in a way I guess. She hated the pain she was feeling but knew soon the she would be able to sleep and talk to everyone for the first time. Maybe her sister wouldn't be mad for her getting herself bit that's all that mattered was that he sister would still care for her even though she had left to go help and wasn't here while she was being tortured with pain.

Yess :)

Rain could hear the muffled screams of her sister when she got to the door of the church. She got scared because she knew that she shouldn't of left her with people she didn't trust. She opened the door and looked at where her sister was. Jessica was cauterizing her arm.Tears fell down her cheeks as she remembered that her sister had almost died.she walked over to her and ask Jessica if there was anything she could do to help.

Sage tried to help Philip up the stairs, she hoped his foot would heal soon.

As they neared the top of the stairs she stepped out, and pointed down the long hallway, "Down there,it's a kitchen, and I think it may have supplies in it." She said excitedly.

yeah with me too me phone is messing me all up

Jessica wrapped the wound and nodded, "she'll be fine..." she said to Rain and stood up and Emi did too. Jessica cleaned off the blade, "can you come help Charlie now?" Emi asked. Jessica nodded and set the blade back over the fire. She waited until it was red hot and walked over to Charlie, "bite onto something.." she pressed the tip of the blade into the wound, dug out the bullet and put pressure on it. "Emi hand me my stitching tools..."

Emi nodded and searched in Jessica's backpack for the needle and thread. She handed Jessica the tools and backed up a little bit. Watching as her sister stitched up Charlies shoulder.

Jessica finished with the shoulder wound and moved to the thigh. She did the same thing and out cloth over them both. "You're lucky Emi found you... you would have bled out" Jessica said quietly, "bullet wounds are a quick procedure..." she stood, looking around for Phillip, "dammit..." she mumbled. "fuckin kids.."

Justice nodded at Rain, he was getting way too cold, and they had more than enough wood to last them the night. Him and Rain began back to the church with their arms full of wood.

"it'll be ok kenzie she fixed thou all up."Rain whispers to her sister.MacKenzie closed her eyes and fell asleep knowing that when she woke up she would be able to talk to people.Rain looked around for Phillip and Sage when she couldn't find them she heard giggles from outside the sanctuary and followed them with her axe in hand.

It was the first time Gracie-Anne had seen people in a while; two figures only a few feet away, each carrying armfuls of wood. She wondered what to do briefly, step out and make herself known, or watch from a distance? - She resigned herself to the idea of observing for now and decided she would follow them a while.

"Well then, what are we waiting for ?" He shared enthusiasm with her. He hobbled down the corridor along her side waiting to see if they'd snag anything, he took out his knife, partly to seem brave to Sage and partly because he was actually scared something may be on the other side of the door. He gripped the handle of his blade and twisted the door knob, he gulped and swing it open. It was a kitchen all right, and nothing seemed to be dangerous inside. He put his knife away and lead her inside "now let's see if we can find anything useful... But between you and me, if we find any chocolate I'm telling everyone that we found nothing up here," he winked at her and chuckled. The various drawers and cabinets were mainly filled with pots and cutlery and plates, but he did stumble upon something useful, a couple cans of non perishable goods like beans, and soup. "Take a look at this," he said as he looked over at Sage.

When Justice entered the church, he laid the wood down beside the fire. He looked over and saw Sage's geometry book, and smiled for a moment. Then he realized his sister was missing. He looked around the sanctuary to see not only was Sage missing, but also Philip and Rain.

"Where'd the kids go?"

He asked looking at Jessica.

Rain could her clattering upstairs and thinking it was more undead she rushed up stairs finding a open she walked in with her axe ready and saw that instead of it being the undead it was Sage and Phillip"oh...its you guys."
