~Three Months Earlier~

It was early in the morning and Crya was still lying in bed, trying to convince herself to finally get up and get the day started. She sighed softly as she pushed the covers off of herself and climbed out of bed, slowly making her way out of her room and into the kitchen to make herself coffee. As she did, she could hear people running around the apartment building. It wasn’t that weird to her, especially since the kids in the building often ran around the halls. Today it was a bit louder than usual. She grabbed her cup and poured herself a bit before making her way into the living room, taking a sip while turning the TV on.

Crya frowned, thinking her TV wasn’t working. She started to flip the channels, stopping when she got to the news channel.

‘Recent reports state that there's been an increase in the number of canabalistic crimes. Please stay indoors and lock all the doors. Help should be on its way soon.”

Crya quickly turned off the TV, shaking her head. She snapped her head toward the door, hearing screaming coming from down the hall. She walked over to the door and took a peek out of the peephole, but she couldn’t see anything because it was blocked. Crya placed her hand on the doorknob, thinking about what to do. It seemed stupid to just open the door, but it’s not like she’d do it completely. Just enough to see what was going on, and that’s exactly what she did. She opened the door just enough to see what was happening. Bodies all over the floor, covered in blood. Massive chunks were taken out of them. She quickly slammed the door, pressing her body against it while thinking of what to do.

~Currently~

Crya was still in the apartment complex, going from room to room. She only stayed on the second story, which she had cleared and blocked off. She found out that she was on her last can of corn, which meant she would have to leave. Either to a different section or completely leave the building altogether. “Well, I can’t stay here forever. Help obviously isn’t coming.” She mumbled to herself, deciding to pack up and find somewhere else to go.

Once she was completely ready, she started to make her way over to the staircase to see if it was cleared. Crya pressed her ear against the door, listening carefully and heard nothing. She went to unlock the door, the clicking just loud enough to be heard by the ones she didn’t hear. When she opened the door to peek inside, they all started to run out too quick for her to slam the door completely closed.

Crya ended up slamming the door, knocking down a few of them before quickly turning and running back into the first opened room she saw. She locked the door and quickly when to push a couch against it. As she struggled, they continued to bang on the door, pushing all of the weight onto it. She knew that even with the couch there, they’d probably soon bust in. Crya ran over to the window, unlocking it and basically throwing herself out. Once she was on the fire escape, she made her way down as fast as she could.

Day 0
Eddie walked past the security room, mike was dressing a wound on Katherine, an intern “What happened?” Eddie asked
“Some methhead took a bite outta her while she was out back, called the cops but the phones are off” Eddie gave the young woman his apologies and told her she would be okay before heading to his lab. He had been testing out the new firearms he and the other project members had been working on, that’s when he heard a scream. He dropped the pistol and went to the doors, Mike was wounded, Katherine in the corner. Eddie tried to get through the door but the power was offline. He used all of the pistols ammo to get through the door and then Katherine lunges at him.
Day I don’t Give A Fuck
Eddie sat in the back of the gas station, a fire axe strapped to the backpack he wore along with a sniper rifle. He added alcohol to the cut while trying not to make a noise in case any were in the front. When a big one burst through the door. Eddie fired a few rounds from his revolver until he was out, finally he pulled out the axe and charged forward.

Crya jumped onto the floor and crouched down, looking around for a zombies. There were a few of them, but most were a bit too far away to even notice her. She was just glad she didn’t live in a massive city because she would’ve been dead either way. She decided to stay low to not bring an attention to herself. Who knows who or what might be out there. She had spent months up in that apartment building, so the only problem she really had to deal with was clearing out the second story and securing it. Now? She was complaining by herself out in the wide opened.

Crya walked along the cars in the road, making sure to stay low so the cars would be blocking her. Anything she does would have to be quiet to not draw a huge crowd her way. She placed a hand on her machete, ready to use it at any moment. She flinched a bit when she heard gunfire going off in the distance, just loud enough to barely hear it. Obviously a few others must of heard it as well because all their heads snapped in that direction, but they stopped moving as soon as it stopped.

What if help was actually here now? Yet again, it could’ve been an idiot, another survivor or even someone dangerous. Crya decided to take her chances and quickly, but quietly, headed in the direction where she had heard it.

Eddie sunk his axe into the behemoths chest, the attack didn't faze the creature, launching him into the wall in response. Eddie got up before the thing could charge forward, diving out of the way before it could slam into him. Eddie pulled out his rifle firing a single bullet into the things skull then another until it lay still.

Eddie sat down next to the corpse, greedily drinking from a nearby case of water. He knew the infected would have heard the conflict but he would be able to take care of them.

Eddie opened his pak after barricading the door and dragging the thing outside and clearing out any infecte attracted by the noise, he sat at a seat and grabbed a soda from a freezer. It tasted flat and warm but was better than dying of dehydration.

As Crya was wondering around trying to find where it had come from, another shot went off. This time way closer than before. She got down on the floor, clutching her machete and slid underneath a car. Whoever it was obviously wasn’t trying to keep quiet. Peeking out from under the car, she saw a singular man pop out to clear out the zombies that had showed up.

That’s it? One man? Probably could be an easy victim for her, but it would depend on how many weapons he still had. Of course she was great at hand to hand, but that means nothing when someone has a gun. Crya waited until he finished clearing out the zombies before rolling out and trying to dust off all the dirt on her. She slowly made her way over there, holding onto her machete tightly.

Eddie began grabbing the little food that hadn’t rotted, eating some as well, knowing more infected may be in the way. After checking his weapons he attached a silencer to his pistol, he then reloaded the weapons and walked out the backdoor, avoiding as many infected as he could, using the pistol and axe, facing then when only necessary.

After a long trek he rested on the roof of a building, listening to each radio station in case he heard anything. Nothing, just static.
