Joanne looked at the girl who offered her a ride on her back. her brows furrowed and she shook her head once again. "I'm-.... I'm fine" She lied knowing she was barely strong enough to even walk. "We're going to Texas and don't worry I just want to get you guys out of here we got a lot of medical supplies" She heard the man speak, without a glance at him she stared at the jeep... Yes, she'll be safer then than out here. She gave the girl a glance then started climbing the jeep.

Yes, she'll be safer then than out here. She gave the girl a glance then started climbing the jeep.

Careena let the girl go with the other two. Afterwards, she vanished.

Joseph walked out of the car, and saw another girl there. He stared before a zombie attacked him from behind. He swat it in the head with his hatchet, but it had bitten him. Dammit, he was infected. Hoping he hadn't attracted anyone's attention, he slowly sneaked back into the jeep.


At least he overheard where they were going. Texas. Huh.

Joanne saw that there was another person inside the jeep who just entered, he looked flustered for some reason. She hesitated for a while then took a peek at the door seeing the other girl starting to walk away... Then she wondered why she didn't seem to trust this boys. "Are you okay? she asked the other guy who had blood on his shoulder.

"I-I'm fine..." stuttered Joseph as he tried to find a sort of zombie cure in his medical bag. He found a syringe, and plunged it into himself. He immediately felt better. As he looked at his shoulder, it was starting to heal. He looked in the bag and found a lot more syringes filled with this liquid, and even bottles filled with this liquid too! Even pills!


Seems like he just found the zombie cure. Or at least, early infection cure. Or, even if not that, healing.


"Yes!" said Joseph out loud as he pumped his fist in the air. "Oh, sorry."


Joseph continued to peruse the magazine.

After a couple of minutes of walking, Careena made it out of the neighborhood and got ready to venture into the city. She drew her gun again so she can shoot down an Infected at a moment's notice. Losing her parents did indeed strike a severe blow to her. Mainly because her younger sister died when she was seventeen. After that, she lost a lot of Teammates back in the Military.

Xobic took off as fast as he could he saw the kid take the temporary zombie cure that was quickly shipped to each hospital they had a lot of it in their medical supply the kid have to take one every 24 hours "but first we need some food and water so we're going to a grocery store in the city"

Joanne's eyes grew wide in hearing his words. "What?! N-No you can't..." He quickly grabbed Xobic's arm and turned him to face her. "That's the direction I came from remember? The city downtown is overrun by hordes... Going down there is not an option."

Xobic quickly turned back to the wheel before they crashed "did you just see a lot of the zombie that is behind us or did you see one that is different."He hoping it was just normal ones.

Careena wondered if it was a good idea to let the girl go with the two men in the Jeep. However, it was too late to rethink her decision, unless she just happens to encounter them again. Which is unlikely.

"I'm Joseph." said Joseph as he was still reading the magazine.


Joseph was still in calm mode after the huge shock.

"if you may call me professor xD that's if you want to you can call me xD just like this kid does."he focused on driving he was still heading towards the city.

Joanne acknowledge Joseph's introduction and looked back at the other one who prefers to be called 'professor' "they were..." She stopped for a while remembering the infected she saw back there and their horrible shapes and mutations.... "Mutated.... Even worse. Some of them bigger than tanks...." Then suddenly she remembered that girl earlier who offered her help. Will she be okay?

"so some of them got that far this is not good do you know another place to get food and more supplies"he said that as he turned around and went up on another street heading away from the city.

"Hmm... Well, there is... No where that I know of in Texas. Did you grab any at the hospital?" asked Joseph. Maybe the hospital had food too...? And it was his destination. He chose to go to Texas. He didn't know anywhere in Texas, it wasn't his case.

"no I did not grab the hospital food that was on a different level and we only got the supplies on the first level exploring the whole thing would be dangerous."he started to think about the other girl he was quite worried about her no one should be alone in this place and to do with this stuff.

"Dangerous...?" asked Joseph. Joseph thought all the zombies were on the ground level. "Anyways, it's your choice going to Texas. I know of no stores nearby, or in Texas." said Joseph as he put his hands on the back of his head.

Joanne listened to the two boys and their conversation. Ugh, having a girl along would totally be a stress reliever. Why did she have to go out there alone? "How about that refuge camp they talked about on the radio? South from here..... Its far for me to walk but we have this jeep..."

"Hmm. Good idea." said Joseph, still reading his EXTREMELY INTERESTING magazine on weapons.

"I don't know about that the one in North got hit by a big horde maybe the South won is OK we will head there then"

As Careena ventured deeper into the city, she came across a military blockade, and from what she could see, a very bloody massacre occurred sometime during the Goverment's Attempt to keep the infection from spreading. Of course, judging by all the bullet holes, shell casings and half-eaten corpses that littered the streets, things must have escalated very quickly and Snipers were eventually forced to exterminate, where everyone at ground level, infected or not, would be killed because it was hard to tell who was infected and who wasn't. The scene wasn't pretty, but she was able to keep her composure.

Joanne had a feeling that both the refugee camps were probably all horded by now, besides even the one she heard on the radio was at least 5 days ago. "On second thought..... Let's go to the city. I saw a military blockade there where the entire place was terminated... Some didn't look like they were infected before they died but the army was probably ordered what some called CLEAN SWEEP. We could go to their base and grab supplies..."

Joseph opened the door, flipped onto the roof, and closed the jeep door again. He wanted to feel the air in his face once again... But this time there were no mattresses. He sighed as he laid down on the top of the truck, finishing his magazine. Once he was done, he closed it and flipped back inside, and said "I know a place. In this magazine, see?" while pointing to the name of the store.

"okay I got you not that you didn't want to go to city it's just a quick turnaround maybe we can find a military jeep there."you watch the kid do his stupid stunts"you idiot kid and yeah that store is in the city"he turned around and headed toward the city.
