Dim puts on a shit eat grin before saying "You do me too much honour. Anyways it was just the Solars being psychopathic murders and me being an idiot. Anyways a little bit later I have the Dawn Brigade pull out and like the overly committed soldier I am, I go and check on our squad to make sure my hunch that all the blood mages were dead. Well yeah. Anyways turns out the head honcho was out hunting." Dim turns his nose to the air "Well it turns out that I'm not nearly as badass as I thought when it comes to blood mages".

"Tch, those are problems that are rarely easy to deal with for anyone. I can only imagine what kind of mission this was if that was your target though. It would also explain you being banged up enough to need a hospital."

"Yes, well we were hoping that the so--" Dim Scowls "Well I'm done talking about them, I got my team out of there before it really went to shit. Well my friend saved my ass and reminded me why I never fuck with bat ponies if I can help it after that. The solars had no survivors, and I was out cold for the actual fight"

"Sounds like a friend I would like to make myself in that case. Always liked them more than regular pegasi myself but don't spread that around. Wouldn't want one of our comrades to accidentally shoot me. So did the mission succeed? For a given definition there of anyway?"

"Unfortunately" Dim sighs.

Star quirks an eyebrow. "Unfortunately? You want a powerful blood mage running around? Or did you have to do one of those purges in the process of doing the job." Star had seen such purges in the past long ago. Usually it was of things other than blood mages but he had seen the results all the same.

Dim walks up to the bar "Oh look at that, we've arrived". Dim trots inside intent on buying the barkeep out.

"Well that is the most deafening yes I've ever heard." Star says to himself as Dim walks inside. "Ah well, in for a penny, in for a pound. I never did understand that. We use bits." He follows inside and ponies up to the bar. "I hope I remember what kind of alcohol they have in this era." He grumbles to himself as he waits to see if there is anything left after Dim orders.

"Two sunshine sunshines with extra lady bugs" Dim orders before scooting one towards Star. "Best drink I've ever ad that wasn't straight alcohol I must say.

Star shrugs and gives it a taste. "Never heard of this one."

"It makes you feel like you're walking on sunshine, or at least that's what it's suppose to do, I find it just gets you shit faced."

"Alright. If I start to see any pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows though you might want to knock me out. Last time that happened I overloaded an enchant on a table and was left picking splinters out of my hide for months."

"Always a good sign if you want to get drunk. A bad one if you want a healthy liver. Those alicorns and their constitutions."

"What's a liver?" Dim says with a mocking tone.

"Somehow I'm not entirely convinced you're joking. Sure they didn't hit you in the head too many times on that last mission?"

"Didn't get hit on the head once I am proud to say. Although I did get bopped on the horn a few times. Huh" Dim adopts his classic shit eating grin before he says "I did get word from Princess Candance and the surviving crystal ponies. Apparently we left a big enough of an impression on the survivors we rescued that they are starting their own brigade of elite soldiers."

"That should be interesting. Think it'll be as populated by sociopaths as ours?"

Dim shrugs his shoulders "Well I've noticed a common theme among the brigades, they all reflect their leader, and considering that the princess is the princess of love. Well I think I will be getting along with them, but I don think they will be like us."

 

[Ebonysdagger]

"Ahh, no more highly unstable loonies with more power than sense? That is a shame. So they going to be a medic corp or what?" Finishes up his drink.

"We don't know yet. It is all speculation past the actual attempt to make the brigade."

"Heh, I wonder if we could get the different squads to have a 'friendly' game sometime. Some sort of sport perhaps. Of course this will have to wait until such a squad is made I suppose. Might be fun to see what happens."
