Nissa
10817574_743454825725375_1974345466_n.jpg

She wandered down to the bar, looking at the others with a tilt of her head. Khayn was nowhere to be found which left Nissa at an odd impasse. She usually would go looking for him… but these people’s emotions were just so interesting. Too good of an opportunity to pass for the very strange girl.

First there was Morgan as usual. Talking to another woman. Nissa eyed the two, blinking slowly as she approached silently, standing a little back. She let her mind probe the very very faint emotions in the air of those two… the woman was sad. That was all she could tell and Nissa knew there were a lot of different kinds of sad.

Morgan was.... Too complicated. The only emotion she could gather was sad as well. But it was different. Much different. Nissa went up to Morgan, slightly knowing the bouncer from being at Khayn’s side so much. “Khayn?” Nissa asked blankly, turning her big pink eyes to the woman beside her asking about a free drink. This close the emotion was clearly loneliness. Nissa turned back to Morgan, having been told many many many times that telling people about their feelings was rude… but Nissa had very limited social skills.

“Who is this lonely woman Morgan?” she whispered.

"I've felt better," Sera responded casually, turning her head to Morgan. "I have to admit though, sleeping on anything that is even remotely soft makes me feel like I'm in sleeping in heaven."

Bashful, Sera turned her gaze away as she quietly asked, "Um.. what happened to me last night? All I remember is talking to you, and nothing after."

As she spoke, she noticed footsteps approaching the table out of the corner of her eyes. Returning the look she gave her, Sera recalled having met the girl yesterday, before the town went to hell. When she saw the girl turn to Morgan and whisper in her ear, Sera raised an eyebrow.

Vira

Tib199u.png

Vira walked towards the forest, her destination the base of the nearest gang beyond. She knew they would be holed up somewhere out there. That's just how gangs worked. Or its how the Devil's gang worked. She remembered the Devil Spire just after it was built. A tall structure. Imposing. Gaudy. An eyesore. A blemish on the land. She assumed The One's base would be similar. Just in her path was a woman. Vira recognized her as the plant lady. Oh great.. Frowning, she grunted out when she neared her. "What are you doing? Shouldn't you be lost in your foresty domain? Why would you ever venture out of it? That stupid are you?"

Kore was still mildly curious about what Vira was doing when she spoke, so she was more inclined to ignore the rudeness she brought. "Hmm...? Oh, I'm just taking these back and saying goodbye. And good question, but staying in the forest all the time would be pretty boring, and difficult.", she had to come out now and again to get supplies of course.
"So Vira, where exactly are you going? You're walking as if you have a purpose.", she didn't think Vira would tell her anything, probably come back with some insult or something. But it was worth a try, anyway.
Kore wasn't really a fan of the foul mouthed woman, but she imagined that something must've happened to make her that way, or she just liked pushing people away. But she didn't care for those who went out of their way to insult people, she just generally ignored them and what they said - but this time her curiosity got the better of her, and she knew she would probably end up regretting that.

Jackson bid good night to the two who had greeted him at the bar before he made his way over to the tables in the dark corner and promptly put his mask back on before falling asleep.

Jackson was awoken by loud voices coming from a table nearby as he opened his eyes and scanned the room. Sera and Morgan were sitting nearby him chatting about something, but he guessed he had missed a good portion of the conversation due to sleeping through it mostly. Getting up with a groan and keeping his mask on, Jackson walked over to the table and sat down across from then. "Good morning! I trust that you both slept well?"

Vira

"Taking.. 'them' back?" Vira asked, raising an eyebrow. She looked at what Kore was holding. "Ryuji's stuff?" she murmured, recognizing it. "Huh, that's quite nice of you," she mused sarcastically. "Didn't get that vibe from you. -You know, the one that says 'I'm a thoughtful person'." She paused. "'Saying goodbye'? Wha.. what do you mean by that?"

She shrugged. "I just assumed you always lived in that forest. Like you were some sort of weird angry tree person lady." The question from the other woman gave her pause. Narrowing her gaze, pursing her lips, Vira asked, "Why do you want to know? Like I said, nothing about you ever gave me the impression you were considerate. Change of heart perhaps?" The dark-haired lady sighed, "If you must know, I'm going to end The One nearby. They've already done enough damage. Besides... it may or may not be sorta my fault."

Kore was surprised that Vura was being civil, and even thought that she was some angry cow. "Huh. Well, looks like I'm nicer than you thought I was. Yes, Ryuji's stuff. And it makes sense to say goodbye if I'm leaving, like you. Neither of us will see any of them again, will we?", it was true, leaving in this world meant no way to contact another person if one lost touch with them, it was likely they would never be able to regain contact.
"No such thing like a change of heart, you're just actually talking to me for the first time. And my name is Kore, not tree lady or plant bitch.", her voice was calm, but there was a slight edge to it. She wasn't a fan of the nicknames they gave her.
"On your own? You didn't strike me as the type with a death wish.", Kore noted that Vira blamed herself, but didn't say anything about it. Whether or not it was true, it didn't really matter, anyway.
"I'd like to see them gone too, they do cause problems for me and the people in this area....", she had seen firsthand in this town before exactly what they did - and despite not really liking humans, Kore still disliked the degradation of towns like this at the hands of her own kind, they couldn't just do what they wanted because of their powers.
"You won't like this, as you don't seem to like me. But I'm going with you,", she looked down at Ryuji's stuff, "I can track you through the forest, so there's no need to try and walk off... I need to take these back first, but I'll catch up if you don't wait. Perhaps with the two of us, it'll be less of a suicide mission. Maybe some of the others will come too.", she looked Vira straight in her eyes.
"You know... It would be easier if you asked for help. Things are always easier with more people, being on your own... It's really hard.", Kore knew exactly what she was talking about. After all, she had been on her own for her whole life, never being in a group as she had been the past few days. It was... Nice.

Vira

Vira considered this, then nodded and shrugged, folding her arms. "That's sorta the idea when one leaves, ya? I don't think I called you plant bitch here, did I? Anyway, I know your name, as you seem to know mine." She pouted just a little at that fact, cocking her hip to the side. Her lips curled into a smirk. Perhaps she did have a death wish, who could say? "I can handle myself," was her simple response. "Is that so? Wellll, lookie you, being all humane and stuff. How odd. A crazy plant lady caring about human life."

Vira's smirk dissipated, and she glowered. "No. You aren't. No one is! Why do people want to come with me to a gang of all places?!" What Kore was saying was making Vira angrier by the second, her hands curled into fists, eyes narrowed, and teeth bared. "I don't want any of those other imbeciles to come! Don't follow me!" She looked at Kore like she was mad. "'Ask for help'? What the hell ever for?! I.. I'm not alone! I have Ellie with me! That's -She's all I need!"

Sigh... There it was. The attitude Kore had expected. Deciding she was going to stay 'humane' about it, she ignored the first half of Vira's backlash, despite them making her want to prickle up like a cactus. "We want to come because we feel the same way you do. Is it that hard to understand?", she managed to keep her voice calm, soft, despite her wanting to yell at the foul woman.
Vira's last bit of oh-so-lovely conversation gave Kore chills. Who is Ellie...?
"Unless this Ellie has some power that allows her to be with you unseen.... Vira, you are alone. There is no one here with you, no Ellie to watch your back... Who is Ellie...?", her curiosity got the better of her - again. And she knew she would regret it - again. But she couldn't help it, to Kore, Vira sounded desperate, perhaps this Ellie had abandoned her, or died suddenly or something? And that was why Vira acted as she did, who knew. Hurt did strange things to people, both physical and mental. Kore had experienced enough of both to know that.

Khayn Powers

From the moment they neared the forest, Khayn had turned into a dog. It wasn't like he needed to hide, but ultimately it felt safer being an animal in the woods rather than a person. He quietly followed behind Vira as she began to talk with a woman that identified herself as Kore. Another intriguing individual. It seems this Vira girl draws in a lot of kind people. He merely thought while continuing to sit there and argue over her being alone. How rude, I may be a dog but I AM here. He thought as he felt the urge to snarl and bark. His doberman form was a far more aggressive form that he would've liked to admit. But the bow strung over his back was awkward as hell and would make attacking futile, so it neutralized that aspect of him.

Morgan Llewllyn

Morgan couldn't help but smile and pet Nissa's head as the girl walked up. "Khayn? Last I saw he went out with the woman who trashed this place. They're probably still drinking somewhere." Though Morgan had never seen Khayn drink before. It was rather puzzling. "Uh, this woman is Sera, right?" Morgan smiled as she turned to the girl who used her bed the night before and tried to recall everything. "Well you kind of blacked out. Guess the exhaustion caught up to you." Morgan forced out a dry laugh that could've very well exposed her for the girl she was if she hadn't established clearly with everyone that she was male. "Of course she did. She slept on one of the most comfortable beds since the end of days began." Morgan took pride in all the trading she'd done to GET that bed so comfortable. It had been a lot of work. "And I'm just thankful that my sleep didn't lead into any.......sudden changes." Thinking back to her bust Morgan couldn't help but stifle a groan.

Vira

Vira gave Kore a look. "You feel the same way I do? How on earth would you know how I feel?" the darkhaired chick questioned in one grouchy tone. Her anger had died down somewhat, but she was still annoyed. Though their conversation had been reasonable up til now, and her anger had dwindled, with what Kore said last really got under her skin. Growling, she hissed, "Ellie is here with me! She always is!" Vira placed her hand upon her breast, just over her heart. "Don't speak of something you have no idea about!" Her rustic eyes fell beside her to the mutt. She felt like kicking him. "Ahem, I told you to go warn the people back there!!" She shouted at him, pointing. "He's an Abnorm, too," she announced to Kore. "Get your butt back there and tell the others what is going to happen! I mean it." She pushed the dog with her foot; wasn't quite as bad as kicking him. "And she's my sister," Vira answered Kore brusquely.

"I slept fine, thank you. I guess I did just black out all of sudden. Sorry about that." Leaning back in her seat, Sera sighed, wondering what to do next. Should she look for others? There was a possibility they could still be around, although it is in no way guaranteed that they were. What held them together was like something like trying to stick together an odd assortment of sticks and twigs with random pieces of string. The night before, at the campsite, everyone had a common goal more or less so. Now, with the massive fight -- and Sera's first abnormal combat situation outside the military -- under the belt, what's next?

Experiencing first hand such conditions brought a new idea to mind: training. Facing these abnorms made Sera, again, wonder how she was still standing after. No doubt luck and instincts combined with the assistance of more "apt" combatants. But, it's not enough. Those with abnormalities will use them, and those with abilities specialized around fighting will no doubt use it to take advantage of those without, or the weak. That notion is most likely the main reason if not the reason for this mess in the first place. Why is this town, not a town anymore? The answer is obvious. Could it have been prevented? Who knows the answer to that one, but one thing is for sure: if she was stronger, in someway or somehow, she may have been able to stop one piece of the catastrophe. And that is progress. Progress to something.

Boy would she have much to write about to her parents, if she ever did find a post office of some sort! Who knew that the few times she even walks into a bar would result in such a crazy adventure. That could be downplaying it, by far, considering how close to death she was. As if it stroked her cheek, then proceed to kick it away. If there was one thing Sera was grateful for, it would be her legs with which to run with. And speaking of running, maybe it's time to start getting a move on before anymore baddies show up and start trashing this poor town. She will remember this place, and hopes to return again one day and help in anyway she can, as a way of apology -- even if she had no part in it's destruction (maybe?), she still felt guilty about it all. Facing towards Morgan, Sera thanked him for the bed. "You didn't have any reason to drag me off to bed, so thank you for that. And, tell the barkeep I said thank you, but I'll be back one day for that free drink."

Turning to Jackson, Sera laughed for a moment, "Hope you were comfortable sleeping. Get those old bones up, we should get moving very soon."

With that, she got up from her seat, nearly forgetting that Nissa was at the table as well. She really had no idea what to say to her, and saying the old, boring farewells seemed a little shallow. With a kind smile, she settled for a pat on the head, ruffling her hair a tiny bit. "It was nice meeting you, don't get into too much trouble now, okay?" Shouldering her bag, she nodded to them before leaving to exit the bar and wait outside, deciding what the best idea would be.

Kore sighed, she had expected some form of rude backlash, and that is what she got. Is a civil conversation really that hard...? This Ellie was obviously important. She had noticed the dog, although it hadn't showed any aggression so she payed it no mind. She turned to the dog, and uttered a quick "Hi.", before turning back to Vira.
"Lovely, I'm happy for you. To always have someone by your side, trusting each other completely. Must be nice.", she said matter of factually, but there was truth to her words. Kore had always wanted a sister - not of blood, of course not, but of friendship. But she knew such a thing was rare and hard to come by, almost impossible to someone like her.
"Well, it seems I'm not the only one with a conscience. Our canine friend also seems to want to come along.", she gave the mutt a thin smile, before looking back to Vira. "You cannot stop us from helping you. As much as you seem to want to go alone, unwanted help is better than no help.", determinedly, Kore stood her ground. She didn't intend to let Vira get away like a slippery salmon, and got the feeling the dark haired woman had her ways, so she would have to stay alert and listen to the trees.

Jackson chuckled at Sera's remark, "easy enough for you to say, you slept on an actual mattress rather than falling sleep on an actual table." Although he did notice that sigh that escaped from her mouth. Jackson turned to Morgan and the pink haired girl and spoke, "nice to meet you as well." Jackson then found Sera outside the bar and walked over to her. In a concerning tone, Jackson spoke. "Hey you alright Sera? Something bothering you?"

"Hey." Sera tilted her head at his concerned question, wondering if she had given any indication of "not-alrightedness." Well, she certainly wasn't too well off last night, but with a few good restful hours of sleep, she felt quite rejuvenated. Although, it was strange that she slept so peacefully in a new place. It must have been the bed. Regardless, she felt pretty good. Stretching one arm, Sera nonchalantly replied, "I'm fine, don't worry. I've felt worse. Let's head back to the forest. If we're lucky, maybe Kore would be in a good mood."

As they walked, "Say, Jackson. Have you ever practiced your ability before?" This question lingered in Sera's mind for some time now. She wasn't any scientist, so she hardly knew how any of it worked. But she was one of them now, and it's best to start learning and honing these abilities, somehow. However, that was what she was worried about: how would she practice her ability? The thought of constantly inflicting cuts to herself was a shuddering idea.

Jackson walked with Sera and his mask hid his sudden surprise at Sera's new question. Jackson felt as though he could trust her so there was no need to hide his face anymore when he was around her. So he reached up and took off his mask and replied to her question with his true facial expressions being laid bare. "I have actually Sera, I ran with a guild for a long time remember? I reached my current apex while doing missions for them. Of course, I also practiced it when I first realized my power with..." His face suddenly darkened as he stopped himself from mentioning his parents. Shaking his head, he continued. "Anyway, yes, to answer your question, I've practiced my powers before. Oddly enough, I'm a little curious myself. I don't recall you having an abnorm right?"

Vira

Vira abruptly stated, "I didn't say she was beside me. I said she was with me." The trust the two sisters had shared... well it never got to fully blossom. It was true, the two trusted each other when they were younger. Trust more than most would feel in their lives, but still... It was a false trust. Because Vira had gotten her sister killed. Ellie's trust, was misplaced. Vira? She didn't trust her sister enough either. "Maybe. Let me know if you ever see or feel that sort of trust."

Narrowing her eyes, the dark-haired chick was getting tired of hearing "you can't stop us from going with you". Why? Why did they want to? She couldn't know their reasons. With an exasperated sigh, she retorted, "Whatever! Like it matters! So be it. If you want to get yourself killed, don't say I didn't warn you!" She turned to the mutt. "Speaking of which! I told you to go freaking warn the other people! What the fuck, why does no one listen to me?! UGH! Holy shit, okay, fine!"

With that, Vira turned to head back towards the bar. If someone who could turn into a cheetah and run much faster than she could did not want to go warn the others, then she would have to do it herself. Boy, this shapeshifting Abnorm was truly useless, wasn't he? Nearing the bar, Vira saw the group of people she had left behind. People she thought she was rid of. "Okay, listen to me," she announced in an authoritative tone. "The One has had its hold on this town for long enough. The attack last night was just the beginning, I can assure you. So instead, I decided to take the fight to them. I'm gunna go find The One base around here, and end them." She paused to let that sink in. "If I fail... well... retribution will be swift and harsh, so... Just let that be a warning to you all."

That was the end of that. Vira turned to once more head back in the direction of the forest, where she suspected the base to be nestled and hiding in.

Garret

Being torn away from his daydream-like memories of when Caleb was still alive, the boy only actually heard half of what his angry savior had to say. She was planning on fighting them.. alone. Garret quickly wiped his tears and jumped to his feet, running after her. He was going to tell her he had her back but since he doubted she would even listen to him, he followed wordlessly. She would make fun of him either way for sure, so he rather wanted to show he had her back with his actions instead of words. Garret was following just a few yards behind her, with his sword drawn in preparation of any combat to come.

Kore Dair
She listened to Vira without a word, and when she started going back to the town, Kore tailed her at a medium distance. Although now Kore had confirmation from Vira that she would let them tag along, she still didn't fully take Vira for her word.
She wondered what exactly the story was behind this Ellie, surely it was an interesting one. But of course, Vira would never tell her - so she would just have to imagine.
Trailing after Vira, she listened to her little speech, guessing that at least a few others would probably follow - much to the dismay of the woman now taking the lead. Kore didn't really fancy dying, but she trusted her abilities enough that she had faith in her chances. Who knew? Maybe they might even succeed. Such success wouldn't come without losses - she only hoped she didn't experience much. This was a chance for her to really push her abilities, test her limits. Kore knew she was 'powerful', the A rank she had been assigned and the fact that no hunter (apart from Lucca, now) had ever lived to tell the tale of coming face to face with her - but against other abnorms? She had only once experience of that, and it hadn't ended well for her, almost being crushed definitely wasn't something she wanted to experience again.
Once Vira began to walk off again, Kore followed a little closer, falling into step beside her.
"So, considering you've presented yourself as having a plan or the one who came up with this... What's the plan?", she didn't think Vira was idiotic enough to go in without some idea of what she was up against - and Kore wanted to know everything.

Lucca Malkovich
Location: Bar

Take the fight to The One's base she said, that was something Lucca did not think of, it was not something any Bounty Hunter would think of in fact. Who the hell in their right minds would think of assaulting a gang's base all on their own? But of course, these people are not normal, they are Abnorms, or more appropriately, powerful Abnorms, Abnorms with actual useful abilities. At the moment, the WG persecutes them, hunts them down and had them living in fear, but Lucca could see how easily it could have been the other way around. Perhaps, if the WG had been slower to act, or perhaps more lenient, the world would be a more different place, one where it was the Abnorm who rules, the Abnorms with great power, standing above those who could never hope to match them. In fact, the world was pretty much halfway there, with the gangs running rampant all over the place. Think about it now, he was glad, glad that he was born under WG rule, at least they took care of those under them, barring the Abnorms. But then again, one suppose they had to, their hold on the world is so feeble after all with all these Abnorms running about, what's the point of turning your own people against you?

"You don't mind if I tagged along do you? I have a little beef with this 'The One' myself."

He wasn't wrong, he was never wrong in the first place, though he may have been slightly misguided. As someone with so little power, for a world with a future for those both with and without power, he'll hunt those with too great a power, and he'll gladly "serve" them all up to the WG if that's what it takes.

Location: Fallout Bunker.

Characters: Forth - The Warden - First.

"Aside of all expectations~" a voice began its introduction as the words bounced against the walls that seem to extended further within the underground. Light seem not to be a luxury for there were lamps at the ceiling, clearing the path of cement. The wires seem to be poorly located at the corners, not interested in accommodating them neither they seem to need organization, "The true war is one not waged by soldiers -" our imaginable camera seems to walk forward towards a green sturdy door of steel. Once we pass through just a door with our mind, we can behold the extension of such a bunker. It seems to have a clear path ahead, but to the sides there are stairs that leads even below where the sounds of machinery seem to be working on maintaining the power source, "Non by ships, weapons or technology beyond our earthly comprehension." the voice seem to become rather clear than before we pass through the gate while the machines remain just a background noise, too defuse to distinguish its purpose. We continue to move forwards as we pass by the stairs, guiding ourselves by a fence that seems to be the only thing that keeps you from failing to the sides in this bridge, there is no danger in failing since it is not a great fall as you may suspect, "Those are nothing but a crude obstacle in which we test ourselves..." We reach the end of the bridge and you can't help but notice. Each stair has a path for invalids, as if it was prepared for someone without legs in a wheelchair, "The true war - is waged on the hearts of all living being..." the path opens further beyond as a second green sturdy door opens leading to a corridor, one that seems to have stored food and water on the sides, a deposit probably. It is not huge, but upon what one can find on the wastelands - it is without doubt magnificent, "- against our own natures; light or dark - That is what shapes this world, not this creations of men." the last door opens and the voice does no longer seems absent or around you but in a single one direction which is always forward. "The cultures that had so worshiped this measurable moral standard defines it in very cheap words 'In conflict." a man in a wheelchair moves his right hand in order to take something that seems part of a chess game.

Once his turn has already being played, he rest once more against his back and stares forward where lays a projection wearing no mask at all, at least for his perception. He created the Forth upon the image of empathy, and there was only one memory that could craft such a feeling. Her wife's face taken straight from his imagination fabricated upon reality like a ghost which pretended to haunt him forever. Though such a face does not last as our camera view disrupts such a face, replaced by a mask once we move behind the man in the wheelchair. The Woman, Forth, speaks "Warden - And what is your conflict?" she asked as she tried to ease his mind, "What is that keeps you from moving forward?"

"Nothing is stopping me. Not anymore."
she began moving, taking her turn on the game as the man continued talking and playing at the same time, "Mankind's legacy has been nothing but series of violence and hatred." the pawns of the Forth fall, "They burned cities to the ground-" a horse now meets its end on the table, "Entire farms with its grain-" now the bishops, they move around in circles thanks to their base as it falls as well, "Religions, all those who spoke high and as well those with intentions to crush through. The Military-" and the towers now fall, "Finally - mankind lose its humanity..." and the queen perish, "Leaving nothing but our Kings. Two sides of the same coin. Rulers of a graveyard."

"And - And you seek to stop this? To stop the Kings?"
the Forth asked curious, as The Warden raised his sight slightly towards her with a shallow indifference that seems to cut the air itself "No. " The Forth move backwards on her seat, nodding as she understood what The Warden meant - of course she was nothing but a projection of his own self but her entity, the living idea of his wife continued to crawl as she responded, "Your dream, your goal will only harm everyone even quicker." "Even stars burn out - We cling in this agony believing there is a way to save them from harm, its time to wake them up from their ignorance and unleash their fears. We will stand in the middle of it all and remind them who they are. Sheep."

Sura, The Forth, stood up slowly as if she had been order to do so, leaving a space for a ghost-like projection to show itself. The mask of the First revealed itself and the body knelt before The Warden as he waited for something to be said or anything at all. What happened behind scenes, was just his liege speaking through telepathy - requesting the First to arrive before him. But something more surprised them all, as The Warden struggled to stand from his wheelchair. As he punished himself to keep both physical body in control and mind to connect to the Projection's thoughts. By each move, the ghost-like creatures seem to begin to fade away ever so slightly.

But it did not happen - The Warden began to control the projections and himself at the same time. They all shared thoughts, but The Warden - his troubled and shattered mind hided his own truth, and so did the rest. Forth and First began to take repeatable shallow breathes to express physically how difficult it is for his own mind - but not to his will to act. "The Forth will lead the war-band." the Forth bowed her head and so did the First, "If we are to keep the balance. We must first cease control of all those who oppose it. The One - The Devil - The Easterners - All those whom claim power will face the consequence power brought to these lands."

The both begone from The Warden's sight, disappearing, vanished, as he sat down once more and restored the work on underground. Hundred of projections appeared, mindless ones - ones that had no personality but just a physical movement without a face or mask, working with machinery.

Vira

Walking towards the forest, with purpose in her step, Vira intended to end The One. Whether that would happen or not... Well, she was hungry, a bit tired and thirsty, and she had a wicked headache. Still, she was confident in her abilities. From countless training sessions with The Devil, and with her sister, and others. Vira was a killing machine; she'd put her skills to use today.

...

"Good. Good, you girls have been progressing well. The two of you have picked up subterfuge quite quickly," the Devil was saying, seeing both Vira and Ellie sneak out of cover, with wicked grins shared by the girls. "Okay, lesson number two. It's about to get dark girls, steel yourselves, hold your stomachs. Become the strong Fangs I know you two can be. Lesson Two: Assassination." Ellie and Vira shared a glance, with the blonde seemingly a tad more worried.

...

"Huh???" Vira grunted, glancing sideways at Kore. "What are you babbling about?" she wondered. "A plan? What gave you that idea? Certainly not! I just intend to go in there and kill them. No plan required." Thinking back to the past, where she was taught planning, and strategy, Vira knew she was being quite careless this time, but honestly, she just didn't feel like planning anything extravagant. Brute force would win out this time.. Or it wouldn't.

"Bah!" Vira sighed, now responding to the useless Lucas. "Suit yourself. If you die it's your fault! I warned you, did I not?"

Slapping her forehead, Kore groaned at Vira's lack of a plan. This was either going to be the greatest improvisation of all time, or the most inevitable failure ever. Kore wondered what exactly she had gotten herself into, she would just have to hope and pray to the trees that everything went alright. "Well then.", was her only response, as she continued to follow Vira, a bit behind her now.
With a jolt, she realised she still held Ryuji's things in her hands... She would just have to hope that he followed along too, she had been so preoccupied with following Vira and not losing her, she had forgotten to look for him and give his things back. She felt bad for forgetting, this mask was probably really important. Kore didn't doubt his ability to track her, so she wasn't too worried... But she certainly felt bad about forgetting, and potentially dragging him into whatever this was.

Vira

Vira sighed coming to a halt. She turned towards Kore. "What? Does that bother you miss planty priss?" she asked in an angered tone. True, she probably should've had some sort of plan... Every mission of hers up til then had had a plan. Or they did when she planned for things in the past. Ever since she went out on her own, she mostly had been winging it, falling back on her power to take up the slack.

~.~.~.~

Two swipes from the big dark-infested man in front of her. One to the center, one coming from the right. A young Vira easily stepped to the side, then ducked. She brought up her fist and caught him right in the side. "Hyyah!" she called out with her hit, resulting in a grunt from the man when she connected.

"Ungh! -Ugghah haha!" The Devil laughed, stepping back, shaking his head, hands placing themselves upon his hips. Looking down at the small dark-haired girl before him, he grinned. He noted her panted breath, but praised her. "Dodging me left and right, and landing a few good hits here and there," he said rubbing his side. "Nice! You're getting so much better Vira. My Little Fang is strong, very strong."

Vira could only beam under his praise, feeling quite accomplished. "Ellie, too, you should see! She's been getting strong, too!"

"Oh, I know. Both of my girls are getting so much better," he affirmed, nodding. "Okay, that's enough for today." He nudged her forward. "Go rest up, you deserve it."

..

Minutes later Vira stepped into the Lounge, ready to eat, drink, chat. The gang members noticed immediately when she came in. They all got up, coming over. Crowding around the small girl, they had fierce eyes. Vira looked between them, confused at the weird red gleams tinting their eyes. Their postures were dangerous, and her power began to tingle.

The one just before her announced, "You've betrayed us, Vira." He crunched his hands threateningly. "You've betrayed the Devil, and his gang. Our leader told us so. The Devil said you did!"

His repeated words made little sense to the small girl. She did what?.. Betray them? Nu-uh! No she didn't! Vira immediately frowned, then glanced between the group of gang members. Something... was not right here.

"The punishment for betrayal?.. Death," the same man said, with murmurs, angered growls, and shouts of agreement. He pulled out a hidden dagger. They were a gang of thieves, sex offenders, murderers, and all manners of evil doers, yet they shared some sort of brotherhood. Some sort of 'honor' within the gang. Under the Devil, they all felt sorta like a family. You did not betray that family. Not even a little girl did, she would not be exempt of such rules. "Now just die quickly, with any remaining honor intact, you bitch."

..

Not long after that, the Devil waltzed into the place. A bloodbath was before him. At first he seemed slightly surprised. Then his eyes fell upon a lone figure standing surrounded by a distorted, deadly haze of death; just a small girl, in the midst of shredded bodies. Breathing heavily, blood dripped from her -not hers- in a red pool that spread across the tiled floor. The bodies of his men were strewn about, in various states of death and pieces. A smile found its way upon the man's lips, his eyes gleaming darkly.

He walked over and Vira spun on him, a dagger in her hand, its blade painted red. Breathing heavily, she looked at him wild-eyed, her hair in a disheveled state. She looked just like what he knew her to be. A tiny fiery, lone wolf demon, fighting with her inner raging spirit. Exactly as he imagined her. She was ready to gut him too, to kill to save her own skin. He was endlessly pleased. "Very good, girl."

He stepped over a body then placed his hand upon her. She reacted sharply, but he stayed out of range of her dagger. "Woah, woah, Vira! Vira! Calm yourself! It's me. Your father: the Devil. Calm, girl. I'm not here to hurt you." After his words, her breath shallowed, and she lowered the dagger. With a wide grin, he praised her, "Very good. You passed the test! I knew you could. I knew you had it in you." She seemed confused, looking around. "Yes, I put them up to this. I told them you betrayed us, and when they saw you, to kill you. 'Which would be probably be some time during lunch,' I said. 'End her,' I said." With that smile, he seemed pleased, although Vira seemed more than miffed. "Woah!" he called out, when she raised her dagger once more. "Haha, calm girl, yikes! You are a dangerous one, aren'tcha?"

"..Just like I knew you were." The smug smile shifted into one of pride. "Vira. Listen to me. I always knew you had it in you. This in you. Ever since I saw you, I saw what you could be. The strongest. My Little Fang. My Right Fang. These fools could not see your strength, but I could. If they did, ha! -they wouldn't be dead right now. They would've ran in fear from you; before they ever took up arms against you."

Vira stood there glaring harshly.

"Okay, okay. Listen. I never thought you betrayed me. Of course you haven't! Not you, Vira!" He knelt down towards her level, to stare into her eyes. Bringing up his hands, the large man continued his praise, "You're perfect. -In every way. All this time, I've been training you, seeing that vision of you in my mind. I've been pushing you towards that this entire time. I think you're finally there." He scoffed lightly, "Well, nearly there, anyway. This was a test. I never wanted them to kill you. Or.. even thought they could kill you. You proved me right. None of these imbeciles are worthy, but you are." He kicked a body beside him. "You are my sweet Little Fang."

Finally Vira spoke, seemingly have calmed down some. "But.. what about them, then? If not me... you knew they would die."

"Right. I did. I am okay with it, in fact I embrace it! It is that decisive action, that I knew you possessed. It is that decisive action, that makes you strong, makes you truly loyal, makes you worthy. Makes you my Fang," he seemed to prize that about Vira. The strength to just act. To do what needed to be done. "You saw yourself threatened, and you reacted, by ending the ones who sought to end you."

"If I'm so loyal, how did you know I would not merely lay down my life? Upon hearing you claimed I had." Vira questioned. For a young thing, she seemed to understand it all a bit too much. "If I am as perfect and loyal to you as you claim, then shouldn't I have let them kill me, for 'betraying' you?"

"Normally, that would be the case, but not someone like you, Vira. Not someone who is truly loyal! You knew what they said was wrong. You knew, -they were wrong. It could not be that you betrayed me, like they said, because you knew you hadn't. So you acted decisively, and killed the falsifiers. Any of these fools would've done exactly that, and laid down their life. Willingly. Stupidly. Then, now, they would be dead. As opposed to you, who still lives. Still lives to serve me and our family."

Vira paused for a moment, then seemed satisfied with that answer. She dropped the dagger, then asked, "What about Ellie?"

"I will put her through this same test," he answered. He saw the little girl jolt. "Don't worry. She won't be in actual danger. I don't intend my other Fang to die either. I know she will pass just as you did."

"What about the gang?" Vira asked, looking at the group of dead around. If they were all such a family, then why had the Devil allowed her to kill them?

"It is fine. I know what you are wondering. It is regrettable, but is of no consequence. Not when it comes to you, to my Fangs. More will join. I can assure you. You don't need to worry about these guys. Nor do you need to worry about the ones Ellie will kill during her test. There will always be assholes willing to join our gang, to work under us."

Again Vira seemed satisfied. These fools were all so stupid. They were all so wrong. There was a family, but it wasn't them. It was Ellie, herself, and the Devil -their father. Everyone else there was just fodder. Expendable soldiers for the three of them. That fact... made Vira swell happily inside. "When is Ellie's test?" she asked out, an excited inflection to her voice.

"Soon. Soon."

~.~.~.~

Vira sighed, standing beside Kore. "Listen. You and these fools all chose to follow me. I warned you how dangerous it would be. I do have a plan, but it is not one you will like. The plan is for me to go into The One's base, then kill Big One, their leader. Then end their hold over this area. That's the plan. Oh, one other step: don't die. Good enough?" She knew it wasn't satisfactory for Kore, but the other chick would just have to deal.

With that, Vira turned back forward, and lead on into the forest. Whoever followed her, she viewed as an idiot, but knew they would follow her for whatever reason. Nothing she could do about it, just had to 'embrace' it. As they neared where her danger radar pinged, she rounded a bend in the forest, then came pushing through some dense undergrowth. There in the clearing, was a tall building. It reminded her of the Devil's Spire, but wasn't nearly as tall and intimidating. If anything, it was smaller and more hidden on purpose. Standing outside it... Was not a group of The One members like Vira had expected to immediately find. But a young woman, in a pretty white dress that flowed gently on the soft breeze. Approaching her, Vira felt her hairs prickling in apprehension, but not in feeling of danger. At least not from the girl herself. Who was this girl?

He had raised an eyebrow when he watched Vira walk into the bar. Listening to the 'warning' she was giving before sighing to himself. Standing and starting to follow a few minutes after she left. Focusing for a moment to move at an increased speed over the distance between himself and the group. "Sorry, but can't sit this one out. Not after missing the previous attack." He then started to follow as if he was there the whole time. Through the woods while stopping a fair bit behind her when she eventually did.

And rest of the group...Not sure who's there.
