in general my named people have some sort of plot armor, because i have ideas/plot/plans for them. they can still die, but as long as it isnt ready for them to, in general they will live on xD
that isnt to say your characters wont kill a few, but yah rn Crackerjack needs to live (youll see why in a bit xD)that said, you can still attempt to kill him and come close if you wish ("a feasible way to kill him" sounds odd to me tho, what was your plan there?)
