The expansive city of Allshand is a beacon of prosperity in the lands of Stoers. It is said that the All Creator laid their hand upon the land to which now the city presides, giving all who live there a chance at a good life. For the most part it is true, though with every civilization comes trials and tribulations caused by the corrupt. Allshand is not without its darker marks, yet it still holds true to its promise to those who apply themselves.
There are some who apply themselves differently. Recent events have left the Vanguard stumped as they follow odd trails of unexplained murders and random kidnappings. Survivors return mangled and broken both in body and mind and unwilling to relinquish the names of their oppressors. Every turn is a dead end in a growing concern. Who is behind these atrocities?
This is an interest check into a fantasy based detail oriented roleplay. The plot will have mystery and investigation as well as religious and political nuances and violence both physically and mentally. It will revolve around characters who wind up tied into the investigation to eventually reveal the people behind the murders and kidnappings as well as what exactly they are doing to the citizens of Allshand.
There will be set roles to choose from, though the character appearance, background, and personality will be left up to the player.
Magic is a major component of this society, but not everyone practices magic. Magic is also predefined.
There is a religion, but it is no longer a common practice within the culture. There are still some traditionalists, but otherwise society has moved on from the ritualistic practices.
