People are definitely going to try to round up the Clairvoyants once it's been made apparent that they exist, yeah. Personally, I imagine there being multiple groups at first, but they're eventually all brought together by their status as Clairvoyants.

Yeah, I didn't mean to trod. I figured something was going to happen. It's why I'm not sweating the beginning as much. I think it's fine if we start out with our characters doing their things, introducing themselves, making connections in small groups before life and powers start smacking them in the face.

YESSSS I LIVE FOR SMACKING MY CHARACTERS IN THE FACE
I mean. what? lmao

I suppose both Nero and I are too much used to DnD, where splitting is most often a big No-No. In any case, since explosiveKitten explosiveKitten has yet to make her appearance, we might just wait for her and maybe do that Potema quest, then return to Solitude and meet up with the rest of the gang. idk

Do you have a plan for how this may happen? I do think it's a good idea to start in small parties to begin fleshing out characters and their dynamics with others, but it would be good for all of us to come together eventually even if we break into groups again. Because there are so many of us it wouldn't be far fetched to form a new faction with the Clairvoyants, even if they have to be underground because once their existence is known they can be kidnapped and exploited by others desperate to find what is lost or obscured to them. At the same time, there could be good money in hiring out such a skill, but the faction would need to be picky about who they work for soas not to risk kidnapping. Just some thoughts. Would be interested to know what you think as our host, or ideas from others about what may bring/keep us together eventually. I have some more ideas about what I just mentioned, but won't go too far into detail unless y'all seem receptive to it. I'm also open to go in other directions, but things are off the ground now so it would be good to have a guiding plot to inform character movement at least.

Yeah. One of the major differences between DnD and RP is that sometimes splitting is necessary because of the RP size and scope. It gets very convoluted if you have 10 characters who honestly have no reason to be hanging together yet trying to talk over each other at one time. Somebody is inevitably going to get left out that way.

So I think as long as we start in regular sized groups ( Wylrin Wylrin , me, Effloresce Effloresce | graytful graytful , SomebodyElse SomebodyElse , explosiveKitten explosiveKitten (?) | Verena Verena , Nero_Cardia Nero_Cardia , Wylrin Wylrin , DovahBeat DovahBeat , Hel Hel (?)) to start, no one will feel left out and we can introduce conflict/subplots that can play into the main once it starts. Especially since we have a bunch of complementary characters (ie graytful graytful , explosiveKitten explosiveKitten , and myself) and contradictory characters which can create plot and tension once we're forced to intermingle.

I imagine what will largely keep our characters together, simply put, is necessity. I don't know how much I should detail my plans. One part of me wants to keep things a secret to surprise everyone later in the roleplay. Another part of me wants to explain what I have planned so everyone can plan ahead accordingly. I probably should do the latter, in all honesty. I'll put my thoughts in a spoiler in case anyone wants to be surprised.

Alright, so pretty much all of Nirn is going to come bearing down on our Clairvoyant characters. Their talents are extremely valuable and coveted by all factions, making their capture essential to secure lost artifacts, gain information on enemy troops, etc. I imagine that certain factions will be more tactful in their attempts to "recruit" our Clairvoyant characters, but in the end, all of the factions are going to be trying to secure the Clairvoyants as their own. I plan on the Thalmor being one of the biggest threats, seeing as how they've had no qualms with capturing and torturing people for information in the past. But yes, pretty much everyone and their mother is going to want to "recruit" or capture our Clairvoyants to make use of their abilities. I imagine that, once a character is publicly known to be a Clairvoyant, they'll scarcely be able to mingle in society without the threat of capture by some power or another.

Love your idea. Don't know how things will go down, but I like hashing ideas as you can see. 😅

There's more I should probably disclose. Again, I'll put it in a spoiler:

Simply put, Clairvoyance is far more like the spell Equilibrium. You don't get something for nothing. While Clairvoyance is a powerful ability, comes with it are severe - sometimes debilitating - side effects. I'm going to be making a character who will showcase just what over-usage of the Clairvoyance ability can do to a person. I think none of our characters have used their Clairvoyance much, if at all, in the roleplay, so I won't get into details of how a person can be negatively affected. Let's just say that there comes a cost every time a Clairvoyant uses their ability.

responding to the spoiler with the spoiler:
I love this idea. I can see the altmer trying too recruit fenn bc hes one of them, but fenn not wanting anything to do with them and shit goes down lmao.
and then, if they do capture him, they get to deal with vampire problems lmao
and oooooh looking forward to finding out what the cost is!

Whisker Whisker

Should I make a post having Edwynak and the Forsworn murder party make their approach? Or did you want to get a few more posts in of Aela and Decimus fighting it out?

I think we're going to have to do at least one more. We agreed to about three exchanges before being interrupted by the forsworn. We're on our second set right now. And she's going to have to dodge Decim's counter strikes before he shishkabobs her right here.

But very, very soon.

Okay! I was just making sure you guys weren't waiting on me to reply without my knowing. X3

Whisker Whisker

It will probably be after Effloresce Effloresce reply or after my next one depending on how it goes. I'll let you know which. But definitely wrapping the fight in the next 1-2 posts.

Woona is here to spectate~
