You could just have her wander in the middle of it . . . "accidentally". 😂

speaking of cats...

I completely forgot Fenn has a kitty plushie in the house he was staying at one point.
I headcanon that he still has it. Just tucked away in a bag so no one sees ajkdhgajk

So I'm really in an Elder Scrolls mood, and I was wondering if anyone would like to do an Oblivion roleplay that's centered on the Dark Brotherhood. It would be an alternate universe, because honestly, who likes how the Dark Brotherhood questline went down? X3 But yeah, I thought I'd check in with you guys before committing to a full on interest check and such. :3

Ah! How do you guys feel about doing the Wolfskull Cave quest The man who cried wolf? Tel'eth and Verena might have heard about that, gone to investigate and stumbled into Dragon Bridge and the rest of the party. I think you need to pass it to get there after all.

I'm fine with that! I would make sure with the rest of the party tho!

I honestly do. I must be that one person that thinks Oblivion > Skyrim as far as quest creativity goes. I hated how it went down but the Oblivion questlines were generally all around wayyyy more creative.

Oh, I agree completely! I love the questlines in Oblivion. And yeah, the Dark Brotherhood questline, though interesting, felt a bit... I'm honestly not sure what word to use. It just seemed strange to me that the faction was practically wiped out. But yeah, I'll start working on an interest check after I reply to this roleplay. :3

According to Cicero's journals, it looks like this is a regular happening for them. His journals basically explain what happened between Oblivion and Skyrim with the faction. But yeah, the concept of Shadowscales was neat. Shame that stopped happening by the time Skyrim rolled around.

I suppose in this alternate universe we could focus on a period of time when the Dark Brotherhood is actually prospering. X3 I was quite a fan of the concept of Shadowscales myself, so I agree. :3

I'm fine with that too though it's been a hot minute since I did many of the quests in Skyrim I may need to go find a refresher

Good morning! Sorry, for some reason I haven't been getting notifications for this thread. I can post shortly! I was thinking my character may be heading to fill a contract in Karthwasten, which is a small mining town between Markarth and Dragon Bridge. She will be moving from the South which will pace her in closer proximity to the Huntress and the Dawngaurd presently, but she will be heading in the direction of the party in Dragon Bridge. The character is a bit of a loner but this gives a chance for her to encounter either party in travel more naturally. SomebodyElse SomebodyElse explosiveKitten explosiveKitten If you're still looking for a way to jump in we can encounter each other in Karthwasten if you would like! There is also a Shrine to Peyrite and an Imperial camp immediateled to the West and a bridge across the Karth that connects to Broken Tower Redoubt just outside Karthwasten to the East if you want to have business in those areas instead but still run into each other during travel.

I'll have Firae arrive in Karthwasten and Ellowin can find her on her way out?

So we're going to have some Forsworn crash the party pretty soon. Maybe not the next exchange, but maybe the one after before these cats actually have any shot of killing each other. Do you want your Forsworn among them to create the ultimate dysfunctional party?

Before we go tangling with one of these other groups, ofc.

Whisker Whisker

Just to clarify, would my Forsworn be accompanying the Forsworn raiding party, or your characters?

It depends. I sent the bulk of the Forsworn elsewhere so Dec and Aela actually had some time to scuffle around without being interrupted. I imagine maybe it starts with the former, but ends up with your char joining them under circumstances?

I just kinda like the idea of that super dysfunctional trio running about for a bit. A werewolf who munches on Forsworn, an ex-Legionary turned monster hunter, and a Forsworn diplomat all swept up in the middle. The problems will be legendary.

Yeah, I like the idea of that trio of characters, too. Like you said, there will definitely be problems. X3

Maybe Edwynak is trying to dissuade the Forsworn group from their murder party, but it isn't going well.

In my experience, it's generally never a good idea to dissect a party into many small groups but I guess there just isn't any other way at that point.

So I guess the plan is for everyone to eventually meet up in solitude?

I've actually had the opposite experience. In my experience, having so many characters interacting in the same place makes things a bit congested. We have 10+ characters. I feel like putting them all together would make it difficult to have character interactions that allow individual characters to really shine.

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

In my experience, it can and is probably best to break down the members into small groups to start. According to the rp premise you sketched out, the clairvoyant power is supposed to be uber rare and well sought after. It'd be kind of incredible to have all the characters in Skyrim who can supposedly use this power meet right off the bat BEFORE even having to use the power.

My opinion is that in order to make this all work, there's going to have be some overall arching purpose that will eventually unite these characters. Maybe some organization is trying to round up these clairvoyant users? Maybe there's a huge treasure reward someone is hosting somewhere for some super rare valuable item that the clairvoyant users are uniquely endowed to find? Maybe their powers start blossoming and cause chaos somewhere and they all go looking for the Mages guild to find out what in tarnation is going on?

Idk. Those are just some examples. The groups can ultimately have their own subplots/quests so long as they are but parts to a whole and working on ways to get it so their paths are intertwined in the process.

Just my opinion, of course.

People are definitely going to try to round up the Clairvoyants once it's been made apparent that they exist, yeah. Personally, I imagine there being multiple groups at first, but they're eventually all brought together by their status as Clairvoyants.
