[The City Twice Lost] The Rusty Gaol

Reminds me a little of Raistlin personally.
A little? :P

And yes, Time of the Twins was an awesome trilogy. One of the few works about time travel that doesn't bug me. I might go so far as to call it better than the original DragonLance trilogy.

I surprised myself that I remembered the bunnies comment. It's been a long time since I've read any of the Dragonlance books. I do remember that I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Sorry I am feeling horrendous at the moment (has to come during a week off...) hopefully will feel up to posting tomorrow.

If not too late, I am curious to see if I can join this game.

I mainly play and dungeon master D&D 3.5 with RL friends, I have only played Pathfinder once or twice (and never on the forums). So I am curious to see what I can do with the game. However I am also willingly to wait if this is a bad time (as I know the group just got their quest from the tiefling).

How big of a town are we at, and how open to the sight of a young minotaur are they?

It's the second largest city in the country and they won't blink an eye. The guards will make a point of inspecting your weapons a the gate though.

Sorry for the late response, final weeks of the semester and all.

I have looked into the setting a bit and have decided with the quest that is being performed (freeing people and such) along with the terrible condition of the Taldan Empire, I may make a character who is a follower of Cayden Cailean. http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Cayden_Cailean

As according to the Pathfinder wiki he is worshiped to a degree within Taldor and I assume more so by the lower class who have to suffer so much poverty.

I am not certain which class I want to go, as I am currently thinking either: Rogue with Sanctified Rouge Archetype or a cleric of some kind. I think the Rogue might be interesting, however I don't know how useful he will be with just a few spells and if losing "uncanny dodge" really fits with him being associated with a "Lucky Drunk" god. The cleric might be a better path but I didn't find an archetype of cleric that I think encapsulated the god's personality.

Any ideas or suggestions? I am open to other classes if they could apply to a character who enjoys liberating and worshiping a alcoholic adventuring god.

Wellll a Cleric is kind of what we need- a healer and all- and well..... Cleric's are all about what spells you pick and how you play them, not so much their Archetype.

Yeah domains are still relevant, which I am happy for in Pathfinder. If no healer is present, I will likely go Cleric. It is also good I guess because I don't think that much has changed between 3.5 and Pathfinder?

Well- the Domains work differently.. and it's a different spell list... and we spell-casters aren't /quite/ deities by level 12 yet- though I am working on that.

But on the whole, yeah, not that different.

Yeah the domains have changed a bit but not too much. The idea of sub-domains is pretty cool nevertheless.

Cayden Cailean is fine, he's worshipped everywhere by every single person who drinks. He isn't really approved by the Taldans, but they can't afford to do to him what they did to Sarenrae.

From memory the main cleric nerf comes from the loss of divine metamagic and some spells being nerfed. Beyond that they play fairly similarly. And yeah, subdomains can be pretty cool. Some seem extraneous though

Are we going to get a new thread for our trip to the market?

I'm not certain. Do you guys want static threads for locations, a new thread for each new scene or just a new thread whenever there is a large enough story break?

Sorry guys, my character is almost done. However finals this week is going to be killing me. So I am going to try and post it sometime this next week when I can.
