The Fabulous Emerald
It's never illogical to be fabulous
It was a nice day, and Fallix had just entered his house with his shopping. It had been a long trek, but frankly he had little else to do so he didn't bother rushing. As he dumps his shopping bags, as well as the few books he had been carrying from the library, onto his kitchen worktable he sighed as he started putting the foodstuffs away into their respective place. Each item had a special place in his kitchen, and he always made sure he never got so much shopping that it would fill the fridge anyways, so putting it all away wasn't really much of a hassle. Still, he was bored. There wasn't many enquires coming in lately, ever since he sold some tips and a few pieces of equipment to the police, so he was starting to feel empty inside. He lived for problems to solve, but there weren't many problems coming into his thoughts.
"You know what?" Fallix, who was often called Fox for his animal appearance, "I fancy some soft ice cream."
With that, he headed to a nearby park that he enjoyed and went to one of the ice cream vendors. After a friendly chat with the ice cream man, whom Fox helped a while back in making his ice cream machine more efficient and eventually became decent enough friends, he walked to a nearby bench, overlooking a pond, and started eating his ice cream. Mint was his favourite flavour, and that also applied to ice cream. Although he didn't like mint chocolate chip ice cream, as he didn't like the texture that the chips brought to the overall experience, he loved plain mint soft ice cream, and it was virtually the only flavour he ever got for himself.
It surprised most people, as they assumed he preferred living alone surrounded by machines, but Fox loved nature. While he saw animals as dumb beasts roaming the world for scraps, he couldn't help but respect nature. A perfect example of how science dictates how everything works. One different variable in the equation of life, and you have a duck instead of a tree. Truly, nature was the first scientist, mixing and matching different elements to create life, to create the land and seas, and occasionally having a bit of help from other sources. To Fox, nature was often an inspiration to him. However, there were some things he saw wrong in nature, but he was fine with that. It gave people like himself something to do, after all. Something to improve. After all, improving things is the main reason engineering exists. To solve problems that nature cannot do by itself.
