{The Circus of The Forgotten}

Sera looked from Nikolai to the wolf, and laughed, shaking her head. "Playing tricks on me already, Harlow?" She asked in a playful tone, ruffling the fur atop his head before standing straight. "Yeah. Bax will be fine. But we should probably get back. Your other two didn't follow us." She grinned, seeing that only Harlow had tagged along.

Baxter froze, tense, as Jinx sat beside him. He closed his eyes, breathing slowly and focusing on the air flow in and out of his lungs. He listened to her words, and sighed, finally opening his eyes as he stared up into the boughs of the huge tree. "I envy you." He said softly, for once no trace of mischief or anger to him. Even with it seeping and bubbling just under the surface. "The control you have over yourself, the fact that you don't go stir crazy with hunger like I do when I have to much." He sighed, his eyes closing again. "I never wanted you to give in. Yes, I want your help. Yes, I admit I want you naked... but everyone tends to want that after seeing you dance." He scoffed, shaking his head slightly. "But I don't want it out of pity, or because you have to. That will only make me feel worse." He sighed, dropping his head into his hands again. "That's why I bolted. Because if I do get you in that way, I want it to be because you want it also." He stated quietly.

Harlow let out a low pitch whine that pratically begged for Sera to continue to dote on him. Alas, that didn't happen and he huffed out from his nose. The wolf hobbled out of the tent, Nikolai not far behind. "Har, go find your brat'ya." The werewolf commanded with a high whistle, using the Russian word for 'brother's. He watched as the wolf paused, just for the briefest of moments, then weaved his way back towards where they had been previously before.

Jinx's mouth twitched, allowing the slightest of smiles. She shook her head, "If you want me to be real here... I am a total slut. I sleep around, kiss whomever I want, and throw private shows after some nights of performing." She admitted vastly, unraveling the reality towards Baxter and presenting it to him. "But it's so much better than the alternative. And trust me, this is a lifestyle I had to adapt to. Otherwise I would have been killed by Jack. I was a threat to the carnies for a while, once upon a time. I have my demons too, Bax. We're not that different, you and I." She inclined herself back to lean against the bark of the tree, her head tilted back to the sky. The smile had melted from her face, no longer an emphasis against her skin. It fell away, mouth compressed into a frown instead. After several minutes, the siren readjusted her gaze to peer at him. "On the off topic of wanting to see me naked... that's not going to exactly happen. Not part of our arrangement." She quipped wryly, a sneer widening at her lips in the nearest way to get him to shake off this docile personality. Didn't quite fit him.

Sera laughed softly as Harlow trudged off to locate the others, she following after Nikolai. "What word was that?" She asked curiously, the foreign word catching her interest. She hadn't known he spoke a different language, her own childhood language of Italian a distant memory to the angel.

Baxter scoffed softly at her words, "You do what you have to. That doesn't make you a slut." He stated flatly, lifting his head to finally look at the siren. A smirk pulled at the corners of his mouth as she attempted to tease him, a spark of mischief entering his eyes once again. "Can we add it to the arrangement?" He quipped in return, smirking as he let his legs unfold, stretching out in front of him. He grunted softly, his body sore from having sat like that for as long as he had. "But I still can't promise I won't tease you a little bit." He added in mock stubbornness.

"Hm?" Nikolai blinked, then finally registered her question. "Oh. Brat'ya? It means 'brothers' in Russian. It's my native language." He admitted, as as he tucked his hands into the pockets of his coat that was tightly wounded around his body to keep the warmth encased him. "I taught them a few commands in it. Kind of like our secret language in a sense. Beyond telepathic thinking."

"Some would state otherwise, I'm afraid. One being me for the most part." Jinx mused, and nestled herself further against the tree, stretching out while elongating her arms slightly to relieve some of the cramped pressure within the joints. She hadn't exactly properly prepare herself previous before dancing for Baxter, an over looked fact that she probably should have considered. Her brows quirked at his mischevious response, a bit relieved that he could manage it after his outburst. She pressed her lips together, seemingly contemplating it, and then hitched her shoulders upwards. "Mm... no. You can keep dreaming though if you wish... or pay me perhaps. I am a bit down on cash at the moment..." She trailed off, and then scoffed slightly at his words. "Ugh. I suspected as much. You'll continue to be a lovely pain in the ass... just know I sure as hell won't take it."

Sera blinked for a moment, and grinned, "Russian, huh?" she asked lightly. "I only know one word in russian. Vodka. Water, right?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at Nikolai, and burst into giggles. "It's pathetic, I know." she sighed, shaking her head as her laughing slowed down and she could speak again. They had wandered their way back to where she had watched the wolves and their new tricks, so she paused, folding her good arm behind her back, the injured one still hanging at her side. "So, about that act. Any ideas?" she asked with a smile.

Baxter laughed, "It'd be no fun if you did, Jinx." he said with a grin, "And I believe I will keep dreaming about that, thanks." he added with a wink as he leaned back against the tree as well. He raised his arms, tucking them behind his head as a kind of pillow. "I won't pay to see you naked, but I've got spare cash if you really need it. I never use the stuff unless I absolutely have to." he shrugged, looking back up into the boughs of the tree. He was quiet for a while, his mind slowly returning to normalcy, though he felt somewhat calmer, and slightly numb compared to his earlier mindset. "Though we can keep the kissing, right? I'll admit, that was nice." he smirked, chuckling softly.

All three wolves had awaited for their master's return, slumped and slouched back on their haunches. Harlow, in particular, wagged his tail as the sight of Sera reemerged. Though didn't dare as much to move from his spot. Nikolai raised a hand and smoothed it over his head, down the side of his face in contemplation. "Too be honest I'm not 100% sure on ideas. Unless you're willing to do a little Red Riding Hood based performance. Interwoven with acrobatics, animal taming tricks, and flying... that's the only possible thing. But that's probably stupid and too cliché."

Jinx would have relaxed into the moment, to be a bit appeased that they had settled somewhere on a partial agreement... but found herself rather unsatisified. And annoyed. She yearned to return away from this... closeness. "I guess we could keep the kissing..." Jinx mused after a moment's pause, although a bit distasteful. She climbed to her bare feet and adjusted her grip on the dance shoes, the siren glancing sideways at Baxter. Then she turned, pivoting, and began the walk back to the circus grounds. "Although you need to work on your making out skills. It really does suck too be honest. You're a bit... eh." She wasn't entirely about to let their friendship be based on normalcy. Let alone content moments like this. She rather enjoyed the times they got on each other's nerves, yelling, pestering... it what kept her on edge. Plus his anger was a teensy tad of a turn on. She tried to suppress these thoughts as they weaved their way into her head, settling into her usual annoyed self. "Plus, I really wasn't trying to pull anything in the tent by the way." She surmised, referring to his angry spitten words that had been directed towards her earlier, in their argument in the tent. Right before he had kissed her.

Sera shrugged, "The crowds love clichés." She smiled warmly, "I've been actually considering asking Jack if he thought it might be a good idea to open a midday show for the smaller kids. Using old nursery rhymes and stories." She shrugged, glancing down to the wolves and back up again. "But I'll take some time and see if I can think of something. There's got to be something we can do that incorporates all of us." She said thoughtfully.

Baxter blinked as Jinx stood, her off comments about his kissing like being jabbed with a stick. He growled softly, part of him wondering how it was the simplest of comments lit him like wildfire when it was her who spoke them. He rolled his eyes, "Sure, you weren't." He muttered, finally pushing himself to his feet. "You can be a real bitch sometimes, you know." He stated, moving to keep up with the siren as they moved back toward the circus' encampment.

"When you can manage an idea or two, do come find me... I'd be rather interested in what plans you manage to transpire within an act between werewolf, wolves, and an angel." Nikolai was quiet, contemplating the surveying possibilities, then he inclined his shoulder into a sharp shrug. He snapped his fingers and all three wolves stood at attention. His hand gestured towards the forest as he uttered another command in Russian. The wolves slunk off together. "Anyways," he addressed the blonde with his gaze. "I'll see you around I guess..." he mused, adjusting his hands back into the pocket of his coat. The dark haired man turned, and began to pad after his wolves to take a brief stroll within and amongst the forest linings.

Jinx removed her eyes from the fixed gaze she had forwards, head tilted to the right just to peer at the demon with a lack of amusement by his particular tone of voice. She snorted. "I
am a bitch. It's part of my personality... might want to get over it if you think you can't cope with that statement." She quipped, and slung the dance shoes over and around her neck, growing weary of carrying then. "But at least I'm not all uppity in your face like some other bitches are amongst the circus. You have got to be grateful for that at least. Right?"

Sera nodded, "I will. See you." she said with a smile, watching them go for a moment before turning and moving toward her tent. She figured it would still be a while yet before Baxter returned, and her hand was beginning to hurt again. When she slipped into the tent, she sighed, and moved over to the small folding table near one side. She sat down, and carefully began unwrapping her bandages, letting the burn breathe for a bit before reapplying the salve. She settled into her own thoughts as she tried to think of a good performance that she and Nikolai could do together.

Baxter's eyes glanced sideways at the siren, and rolled his eyes as he caught her looking at him as well. "Just like I'm a pain in the ass. Or asshole. Whichever you feel like using." he shrugged, "and I'm not sure it would be a good thing to get uppity in my face. So I think that's something everyone is grateful for." he added with a scoff. He tucked his hands into his pockets, returning his attention to the forest around them and the path they took through the trees. It wouldn't do his ego anything if he were to trip and stumbled, or even fall.

Night of the Hunt

Everyone was antsy to gather outside later in the evening, prepared and on edge for the hunt that was to be lead tonight after yesterday's postpone on it. Most were prepared, sheathed knives, concealed guns, et cetera... a few others finished the last few preparations on their own weapoory, in the meanwhile, as they waited for Jack. He seemed to have been busier than usual today, a sudden change for the Ring Master. Mainly because he never payed much attention to his work, let alone business papers and files. But he had been up to something. At least, that was just the main gossip around the encampment.

Jinx absently flipped a knife in mid-air then caught it, repeating this motion several times over and over again to at least be doing something to pass the time. As boring it may seemed. Nikolai, on the other hand, was giving a stern talk to all three wolves, mostly in his native language. Merely a reminder to attack and stop when he said so, a current minor trouble with Harlow. "Alright! Ladies and gentlemen," Jack addressed as he swooped through the stretched out, circled crowd. He climbed on top of a set up chair with ease and grace, staring out across the faces that he had addressed for his attention. "Tonight in th annual hunt. As for it being postponed yesterday... we will have to double up on targets. Two for each group, or two for one person. You know I don't mind if you team up just be careful. And don't conspire to take each other out, or something of the like. I'll start coming around with information on your targets. Those who are waiting make sure you have everything and, if desired, find a partner."

Baxter and Sera both stood in the crowd, standing together as almost always. "Sera, I don't see why you can't come. I know your hand... but it's not gonna be the same without you." the demon said once more for what seemed the thousandth time since they had reconciled over what had happened. The angel turned and smiled at him after Jack's speech, "I'd be of no use, Bax. I can't do anything with this hand, so it's just better I remain behind. You'll be fine." she laughed, rolling her eyes at the blonde. "Go see if Jinx will pair with you. You really need to learn to work with others besides me, anyway." she said warmly, using her good hand to squeeze Baxter's.

Baxter groaned, "No. I'll just do it by myself." he grumbled, but gave the angel a small smile. "Be safe tonight, Sera. Keep hidden." he said, bumping shoulders with her. Sera smile, nodding, "I will, Bax. You take care, too. Get one of 'em for me." she laughed and her eyes glanced around until she spotted Nikolai. "I'll be right back. I want to wish the wolves good hunting." she said, slipping her hand from Baxter's and weaving through the gathered supernaturals until she reached the place where Nikolai was, speaking softly in russian to the wolves. "Hey." she greeted lightly with a smile.

Jack was easily making his rounds about the supernatural carnies, some already leaving the circus grounds to seek out their target for the night. Soon enough he was by Baxter, sizing up the demon as if to weigh the pros and cons by sending him out there on his own. "Do you think you can maintain control tonight?" He prompted with a raised eyebrow, his eyes sliding towards Jinx in the slightest indication. "Not that I'm asking you to rely on Jinx... but she is there. I've given it as an order to keep an eye on you. She won't take it as seriously, I doubt, and will only come running if asked. I just want you to be sure of yourself." He thumbed through a list of papers, all assigned to every carnie. He tugged out one and handed it over to the blonde, listing the target's name, ranging to his background as well as the crimes he committed. The target was a demon, another that had lost control. "It's your decision if you want to work alone." He mused, and then passed onto the next person.

Nikolai glanced up at Sera's voice, pausing between Russian words. He mentally revaluated himself as he rose to his feet, having to adjust back to the mindset of English. It was the easiest thing to do for him, having learned both languages at a young age. His parents may have been on par with insane cultists but they did at least understand the process of education. Harlow too rose from his haunches, he taking the liberty to wound his way around Sera and bump his head against her good hand, begging for attention once more."I take it that you're not accompanying in the hunt tonight then?" He prompted, finger inclined towards her injured hand, seemingly fresh with new bandages. "Probably for the best then again... don't want to injure your hand further."

Baxter looked at Jack as the ring master approached, the file of papers in his hands as always when it came to the hunt. Do I think I can maintain control tonight? He repeated the question mentally as Jack spoke the words, already knowing the question was coming, and he took a slow breath. His irritation already bubbling with that one simple remark, coupled with his sister suggesting he see if Jinx would team up with him. His brows furrowed as he grit his teeth, soothing the anger that bubbled with small mental remarks that it was merely Jack's way of reprimanding him for previous actions the day before. He had expected it. "I've got this. I'll be fine." he bit out, dropping his gaze from the ring master and staring practically sideways. "It's just a hunt. I'll blow off some steam on my target." he noted, smirking at the idea. He always seemed to find enjoyment in the hunts he went on, the event seeming to act as a balm to his demonic blood that craved torture and fear. He pulled a hand from his pocket as Jack offered out the paper that listed his target, and paused, "I thought we were taking two?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the Ring Master who was already pressing to the next person. Irritation turned to outright anger at the thought that Jack wasn't sure he could handle the hunt on his own, but his eyes went back to the paper. He read the name, and then the list of crimes. Lost control. Burned down a small town. Killed hundreds. Serial Killer. Numbers rising, possibly more undiscovered. The list continued on, all about violence and death. His blood ran cold when he read what it was he would be chasing down. A Demon. Someone like him. Someone he could become. The fear settled in as the rage built up again, his hand crumpling the paper into a ball. He shoved it into his pocket quickly before he set it on fire, knowing he needed to keep it to make sure he could confirm his target once he found it. So that's what it was. Jack was showing him what could happen if he lost control, and the punishment for that same action. He quickly searched out Jinx, and stormed over to her, still attempting to leash his anger before he did something drastic. "Jinx." he stated, his voice flat and forced, an apparent sign he was trying to remain calm. "Mind if we team up?" he asked, and pulled his target out of his pocket, holding it out to her. "I'm not sure I'll stay in control on this one, and after seeing what it was... I know Jack is testing me." he growled.

Sera laughed softly as Harlow's head bumped her good hand, and she scratched him lightly. "No. I'll be remaining here, as much as I'd love to go." she said with a shrug, "I already spoke with Jack about it earlier today. I wouldn't be much use since I only have one usable hand." she sighed, and glanced down at the bandage wrapped arm. She shook herself mentally, and returned her attention to Nikolai. "I just wanted to say good luck with the hunt, and be careful." she said with a smile.

Jinx was the only one who wasn't mingling about with a partner, let alone chatting up with the other carnies. Her face seemed strained, eyes fixated upon the crinkled piece of paper that indicated her own target. One she wasn't entirely sure of, the details of the creature's crimes making her squeamish and prompting upon things she didn't desire to remember at the moment. She turned her head upwards to peek a glance at Baxter as he approached, his tone of voice conflicting against the emotions that truly raged within. Another set of anger that will, most likely, result in another kiss for the second time today. "I don't mind working together." She mused in answer, all the whilst gingerly taking the paper into her hands. The siren glimpsed over the varying information, then the species titled; demon. So, ol' Jack was testing not only her but him too? She puffed out her cheeks and offered up the single paper that she too received. Seemed like the Ring Master had planned it out so the two could come together. "You're not the only one..." she murmured, indicating towards the brief information on a young woman that smiled coldly in the black and white mugshot. Twenty accounted murders, all victims male. Possibly more. Illegal prostitution. Relations to gangs, etc. Siren. "I'm not entirely sure what he is instating... that what? Without you I'll loose control? Not entirely true. There's a whole bunch of men in this town that would easily fall to my seducing, let alone swing by for a private show..." She rambled on briefly, then lifted her shoulder up into a half-hearted shrug. "But... best to just get it over with rather than question. Just keep calm, 'kay? Who would you want to start on out of the targets we have?"

A content noise rumbled in Harlow's chest, he lapping happily at her hand as if to accept this cherished affection. Nikolai merely discharged a roll of his eyes in reaction to how much the dark wolf was a baby, enamoured by the angel's doting affection. "Thank you," the werewolf mused after a moment. "For ah... wishing me luck. And I'll try to stay out of harms way. I have these three," he gestured towards the wolves, "protecting me 24/7 so I honestly think I should be good. But erm. Yeah. Thanks again." He stammered slightly, pulling free a hand from his pocket to rub it absently at his chin again. "Do take care of the circus grounds while everyone is out. I'd rather not have you get into trouble."

Baxter sighed, looking at the paper that was Jinx's target. "Yep. He had to have been sublimely telling us to work together without giving us a direct order." He groaned, rubbing his hand over his face as the anger boiled and bubbled over Jack's obvious manipulation. He thought for a moment, "Come on. We'll start with yours." He said, motioning for them to head for the exit. "Guess I get to play bait for this one?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow at her with a bemused smirk. He wasn't exactly keen on the idea, but if it made it easier for them, then he'd be all for it.

Sera nodded, smiling, "I'll be fine, but thank you for the concern, Niko." She said warmly. "It means a lot to me. Honest." She laughed lightly. She looked at the wolves, "Bring him back in one piece, huh? I'd hate to have to piece my newest friend back together." She said lightly to them, directing a harmless tease at Nikolai. Though she hoped she hadn't over stepped.

Jinx felt his anger boil and bubble, a simmering mess just waiting to happen. A mess that she certainly did not want to deal with halfway through their hunt. She casted her eyes sideways and then, gingerly, inclined her hand forward. She rested it against the side of his arm, her touch attempting to ease such crazed feelings. "I'm not particularly fond of Jack's evident manipulation, Bax. You need to calm down and these crazed emotions that are running about need to be ceased as well. Please, for the sole sake of the hunt." She met his gaze, briefly, and then she was pulling away, heading towards the circus grounds exit with quick strides of her feet.

The wolves addressed her words as an order, instilling that they should listen to their master regardless. Harlow seemed to not be so keen about that, he growling lowly in complaint. The briefest of chuckles emerged from the depths of Nikolai's throat, and cracked a small grin. "They'll keep me safe, I assure you. As much as they probably don't want to," he eyes Harlow, "they have to. Otherwise there's no one else to take care of them." He dipped his shoulders into a shrug, "Anyway... I'll see you around Sera."

Baxter rolled his eyes and strode after her, "I've got a clamp on it. Don't worry about me." he muttered, shoving his hands into his pockets as they walked. He was silent for a long while, and then glanced at the siren. "So, what's the plan for going after this siren? We should have a game plan before we locate her." he sighed, already displeased with what they had ended up with. What had been Jack trying to get at? Sending them after one of their own kind that had gone insane, yeah, he got that. But why did he want them to be the ones to hunt them? Basically forcing them to have to team up. He couldn't help but wonder if the assignments would have been the same if Sera hadn't been hurt. A fresh wave of guilt rolled over him at the thought of his sister, and the severe burn that now covered her hand. They had finally talked it over, him apologizing, and she telling him there was nothing to be sorry for. Nothing to forgive.

Sera straightened, "See you around." she said warmly, before turning away from the wolves as the crowd was dispersing to their hunts. She sighed softly, wishing she had been able to go with Baxter, but knowing this was also a good opportunity for her brother. She wandered around, wishing friends good luck and happy hunting until she was the last one standing. Everyone had gone about their business. She took a slow, deep breath, and wandered further back into the grounds. As she went, she stopped in small areas that had trash on the ground, tossing the litter in the nearest trash can, figuring she's be back later to change them out.

"You've said that how many times by now, Bax? Huh? I doubt you have a 'clamp on it'." Jinx shrilled in a dejected tone, her cheeks puffing out again like some child who was upset. Then she tilted her head aside, contemplating various ideas that filtered throughout her head. Though, neither were certainly good and would require Baxter being the bait. "She... this siren, kills men. It's kind of like a high for our kind as their victims are pratically already hysterical and in fear by then. She not only kills them but... tears out certain body parts to feast upon for energy." And then it dawned upon her. Was this Jack's heavily emphasized reminder that she wasn't human? That Bax wasn't either. Both species were inhuman and notably known as monsters. Unveiling the reality of what could have been for them, it would be, if they steered down the wrong path. Her face paled at these thoughts, suddenly quiet.

Becca, the circus nurse, seemed to be out of the few that decided to hang back. Not that that was a surprise. She was mortal, and had no strength taking down creatures that weren't fairly knowledgable to her. She had been ambling out, the briefest of strolls to see if anything had to be picked up, but diverted on this set idea after spotting Sera. She moved over, her brows furrowed with the slightest concern at the sight of her loosely bandaged hand. "Hello, Sera," she chimed warmly in greeting, "how's your hand? Doing any better?"

Baxter rolled his eyes at her statement, though part of him knew her words were true. Ironically, he hoped that one of these times he'd have told himself enough times that it would end up being true. "You say that like you hope I'm not in control." he smirked at a sudden realization. He leaned closer to her, a sly, devil's grin on his lips, "Want me to kiss you again?" he asked in a low, soft purr, letting the words roll off his tongue in a slow, sensual way, his eyes seeming to twinkle with mischief and that same, underlying anger. "As for the other siren... I'm going to figure the easiest way to catch her is lure her with a nice feast. Which means I get to play bait. I've got endless supplies of emotion." he groaned, shaking his head, but it still rattled a chuckle from his chest. "You better make sure she doesn't try to eat my heart or whatever." he stated, looking pointedly at Jinx, but amusement still lined his features.

Sera looked up at Becca as she approached, smiling lightly, that is until she asked about her hand. Again, it was pulled self-consciously to her side, "It's healing. The pain is pretty well gone, so all that's left is the healing of the skin." she said with a small smile, "....The scars aren't even that bad." she laughed, though the action clearly stated otherwise, but the angel didn't exactly want to discuss the matter. "How are you, Becca?" she asked, attempting to steer the conversation away from her hand.

Jinx immediately snapped from the trance of thoughts that had consumed at her. Now, suddenly flustered by his purring sensual words. He had caught her off guard, a flush rising in her cheeks... and, this time, she couldn't depend on makeup to hide away the blush in her countenance. The warmth was evident, albeit not lasting long. She shoved at his shoulder with one hand, baring a hiss in warning. "You try to fucking kiss me without in any context to our agreement, then said deals are broken off." She huffed once more, and strode further ahead, now suddenly having a reason to distance herself from the damned demon. She wasn't wishing, or practically willing for Bax to kiss her. It was merely a statement about how he always insists that he's in control.... but proceeds to go around and do a total 360 to get on people's nerves.

Becca noted the rushed responses, hurried and nearly strained. She casted her eyes further downwards to her injured hand, the angel having it drawn mostly closer to her reaction with her outspoken words. But, she compressed her mouth shut and adjusted to what was being given to her. "I'm quite well, thank you for asking." She chirped gently in response, surmising up a smile for the angel. She paused, considering over another topic. "I've been talking around with carnies today and I found out some interesting things. For one, I heard you've been spending time with Nikolai. How did that happen?"

Baxter thought for a moment, again, her words causing a flare in the anger that seemed to always be present. Though he quickly stamped it down, though it did for naught in putting the flames out. He only hoped that it wouldn't get worse before the night was over, otherwise he'd probably have to take up on their little arrangement. Though he couldn't help but note the flush that rose and colored her cheeks, finding he liked the look on her. He laughed warmly over her reaction, knowing he had happened to get under her skin, and now he just needed to keep prodding. This was always fun, and once he got to know someone, all to easy most of the time. "You like it when I kiss you?" he asked, still pressing with the low voice from moments ago, wondering how red he could get her cheeks.

Sera smiled as Becca seemed to comply with her change of subject, silently glad that she didn't ask to look at it. The constricting feeling in her chest eased along with that, and she let out a breath slowly. Though her face flushed crimson when she started talking about Nikolai. So them becoming friendly had been talked about? She blinked, stammering a little, and then she laughed. "We started talking when I had hurt my wing... About the wolves mostly. I told him I visit them, and enjoy their company." she shrugged, smiling. "Harlow apparently really likes me, even more so than he likes Niko..." she giggled like a school girl when talking about their latest crush. "I'm trying to think of an act that he and I and the wolves could do together. He agreed we could give something a shot... I just have to think of something." she sighed, nearly doing a 360 into a slightly dejected tone.

Jinx had, unfortunately, hoped that his teasing had all but ceased there. Merely because of his quelled silence, and no attempt to reunite the conversation to the subject at hand. Her assumptions had been wrong, and his words came purring out again. Her hunger spiked slightly at the sensual note that had been encased in his low tone of voice. She stifled a gasp between her teeth, compressing her mouth tightly pursed. Warmth spreader further into her cheeks, dampening them in red and she knew she was blushing again, madly even so. She stammered over her words. Then her gray eyes darted pointedly to glare at him. "I... do not. It's just a means to an end. You throw me a kiss and I get emotions. It's a win-win situation. I'm no longer hungry and you're content in bliss, calm for once. What's to complain about that?"

A smile tilted at the corners of Becca's mouth as Sera seemed to flush over the subject like a shy, high school girl would. A near modest teen that didn't want to comply in talking about a crush. But she had pressed so that's what it came to it. She listened, and her eyebrows quirked slightly with each and every detail. "Uh huh... so then. You pretty much have fallen head over heels for our local resident werewolf? I mean, I'm just going off what've you said." She sighed, fixing her gaze elsewhere. Somewhere further in the forest. "I'm just glad he finally found someone to open up to. It may not seem a lot, or whatever, but it honestly is. Niko is usually quiet, he rarely speaks."

Baxter was, of course, staring pointedly at Jinx as he spoke, so it was easy enough for him to catch the raising red in her cheeks, and the way she pressed her lips together to keep from reacting to his words. A sick grin stole onto his features, and he knew he had her. He hopped a few paces to become even with her once again, that same cocky grin on his lips. "If you didn't, then why are you blushing? Hmm?" he asked, his tone still as it was, knowing that was part of what was getting to the siren. He wheeled himself around when he saw an opportunity, putting Jinx between him and a thick tree trunk. He lifted one arm, placing his palm flat against the tree just to the side of Jinx's head, his other hand sweeping around to tuck against her waist, pulling her against him. "Why do you insist on denying something I can clearly see in your face?" he purred, his face only inches from hers. He let his leash loose slightly, the anger that was always bubbling within him surging forward, stoked by Jack's actions and the recent transpiring between him and the siren. It washed over him in waves, and he was momentarily worried if he'd let the lid off to much. A growl surfaced in his chest, his eyes locked on hers.

Sera was smiling as she and Becca spoke, until which the nurse pointed out her obvious crush on Nikolai, and her face went red. "No! I am not head over heals for Niko!" she squealed, trying to keep her voice at a relatively normal speaking level. Though she paused over the last portion of her statement, and smiled warmly, "Yeah, I know. That's why I'm so amazed that he even talks to me." she said with a soft sigh, laughing lightly. She looked at Becca, "Any ideas on a circus act I could do with the wolves?" she asked, curious.

"It's a natural state once flustered. You caught me off guard with your question hence my state now." Jinx merely quipped in response, although she was unsure of herself as the dagger of hunger continued to twist it's way into her stomach. She had to keep walking, let alone regain control of her own raging emotions that fought for numerous things at once. A deep breath drew inwards... but such a breath turned into a quivering squeak as, abruptly, without warning, she found herself pinned between him and a looming oak tree. She glanced aside as his hand adjusted by her head, and then felt his other come around to clutch at her waist, pressing her further against him. She struggled to remain calm, squashing any fervent desires that roused at her. She breathed in and out, quelling her mind to calm. "Why deny it?" She echoed, her brow quirked up at the blonde demon. "Because I already stated your kissing sucked ass. You need to work on it if you want to please a woman." His anger was felt and acknowledged, a swooping feeling that had her scrambling, squirming under his touch, the siren pushing at his chest. "Bax, c'mon. Let go."

Becca raised her eyebrows as the angel squealed out a denial at the idea of a crush, although wasn't entirely convincing with her flushed countenance. Flushed brightly with red. "Uh huh... well, I'm afraid it seems your face tells otherwise. You do have a crush and you are so head over heels for him." The nurse continued to brag on with an impish quirk of her mouth. She cackled out a laugh, and then the giggles died down so she could breathe. "Mm..." She considerd a few thoughts, and then her shoulders came up into a shrug. "I'm not entirely sure what kind of you act could partake in. That's certainly a tricky one you have there, Sera."

Baxter stood like that for a long moment, holding Jinx pinned as she was, with her pushing at his chest. Something was enjoyable out of this, but Baxter couldn't quite place the notion. The way she squirmed only seemed to make him want to hold her tighter, his eyes boring into her as his mind seemed to war with itself. He couldn't deny his attraction to the siren, knowing the additional benefits of their co-operative abilities, coupled with the fact that she was the only one not timid enough to fight back against his antics. Most would just roll their eyes, let him tease or torment, then move on with their lives when he had it out of his system. But not Jinx, and that seemed to only attract him more. She was different. His hand left the tree beside Jinx's head, instead moving to cup the back of her neck, a devil's grin on his lips. "Oh really. If I recall... you weren't exactly happy the last time I stopped kissing you." he purred, the distance seeming to close until their breath mingled, just barely enough space between them to slide a finger between their lips. "You seemed like you liked it rough..." he mused softly, his voice low and barely above a whisper, hot and heavy his words rolled from him. "We have all night... what's the harm?" he mused with a slight twitch of a smirk before he finished closing the space. It was forceful, though not dangerously rough, clearly dominating as he kissed her, his tongue easing from his lips to pass over her bottom lip, his teeth grazing the soft flesh.

Sera groaned in defeat, and put her head in her hand, the good one, sighing heavily. "Well... my... my face doesn't know what it's doing." she stated almost childishly, though she stopped trying to deny the matter. Yeah, she liked Nikolai, he was a cool, and sweet guy. Yet why did everyone insist she was head over heels for the guy? Was it that bad? She sighed again, dropping her hand from her head and looked up at the surrounding grounds. "Well... Most of the place has been cleaned up already... so... I think I'm going to turn in for the night. Maybe try and brainstorm something for the act... If there ends up being one." she mumbled, and looked up at Becca. "I'd advise doing the same. You never know what could pass through here in the night with as quiet as it is when everyone's on a hunt." she said with a smile, waving lightly to the nurse before turning to addle off to her tent.
