Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Ari Waesmor
Air Ship #2
Ari was dancing around the ship, the cutlass he had being soaked in enemy blood with Willow on his back tossing black fireballs at everything. Ari wasn't even good with a cutlass. He just had impeccable technique, allowing him to take down enemies by dazzling and then destroying them, and there was nothing more distracting than fighting someone carrying a 6 year old on their back. Ari was doing surprisingly well without his bow or his staff. He was somewhat being driven by Willow enjoying every second of it. He hadn't seen that spark in her eyes in almost ever before. She was obviously bored with school. She wanted to do stuff, and battle was what interested her. It reminded Ari of Elaina when she was young, and even now. She hated school, but always loved putting what she learned into effect with spellcasting. He was honestly proud of his parenting style, extreme as it was.

He snapped back to reality and roundhouse kicked a woman overboard when Tyr had landed on the ship and started fighting unarmed. He didn't even bother trying to pick up a weapon from the Pirates. They needed to destroy this ship before the ladies got done, so they could assault the main ship. Unless Tyr was tossing people overboard, speed wasn't his thing right now. Still, far better to see Tyr in his prime instead of being emo. Ari figured this would probably be his only chance to talk before Tyr got emo again, so he wanted to take advantage of it.

Ari struck down another pirate before approaching Tyr in a period of inactivity before reinforcements arrived. "Oi, Tyr. Glad to see you haven't lost your edge." He said upon approach, not bringing up what Bailey told him about Tyr. Ari had his cutlass in his hand and a giggling child on his back, eager to fight some more, and Ari himself was grinning, which only ever really happened when one of them started a barfight, or in a life/death fight.

After snapping the neck of another pirate, Tyr brawled his way through the air pirates and over to the former black assassin. "I need you to cover me as I make my way to the helm! I'll use the puckle gins to shoot down the other ships. We can use this to get to Faylen!" The bard hollered, as he delivered a painful uppercut to a pirate, putting him a few inches in the air.

Herah Addar
Ship #3
"I'll keep a line open for you guys, but hurry! There's a lot of thses bastards!" Bailey hadn't closed off the telepathic line so they could communicate; obviously something important to do. "Yes ma'am," Herah replied, heading down straight. Perhaps she'd get lucky and find the engine right away. On the other hand, she might just find other stuff that's not important or she just right out didn't want to see. Nevertheless, Herah continued down TheHapp that was just barely high enough for her not to have to stoop. It was longer than she expected, and there were no troops. Odd, though there were a lot up on deck.

Her grip on her great sword tightened as voices became clearer. There defiantly was crew down here, but the tielfing smirked. She charged out, giving them maybe a second of warning. There wasn't enough time for them to drawn their weapons before their heads rolled off their bodies. "The gods have smiled upon me today. Jackpot!" Explosives and barrels of gunpowder pinned the room, along with other less important cargo, but still.

"Alison, I've found explosives which might give us enough of a blast to bring this thing down. Any lucky finding the engine though?" Kylesar1 Kylesar1

Uriko - Airship 3

The raging child beat tore a hole in the side of the ship and made his way inside. He was met with swords and spears which he met with claws and fangs. He let out an ear splitting howl that made men bleed from their ears and froze lesser men freeze in terror. Like a true savage he used this opportunity to lob off the heads of those in his direct vicinity. Blood painted the mahogany of the floor and seeped through the cracks.

A large man with a spear emerged from one of the many doors. With a mighty thrust he shoved his spear towards the red werewolf's head. Uriko narrowly dodged the assault with the blade of the spear slashing the side of his muscular neck. He grabbed the mans and pushed him up against the wall with it. Their eyes met. The veteran soldier saw the boy's amber eyes become clouded as if ink were swirling in milk. The cloudy grey then turned into a pitch black. The man felt as if he were staring into the abyss and suddenly, for a brief moment, fell into a deep despair and lost the will to live. In that moment Uriko sank his fearsome maw into the man's neck, crushing his wind pipe. Red liquid poured down Uriko's throat and leaked out the side of his mouth. Using only his mouth he lifted the man off his feet and slammed him on the ground. The stress of the action caused the laceration on his neck to widen.

He murdered his way to the deck of the ship with a spear in his hands. With every muscle in his arm he threw the spear like a javelin at the navigator. It broke through barrier they had to protect her, piercing her heart. Her body jerked back then slumped over the wheel of the ship. The ship began to accelerate and turn hard.

Ari sliced a pirate's foot, then slashed his throat when he fell. "We're gonna take these two down first, then hijack the fourth. Go big or go home, Tyr! There she goes!" the final ship came into full view and it was enormous. This was the ship they were to assault. It was at least triple the size of the ship they were on. Good luck shooting this thing down. They had to take it down from the inside. Or in this case, get to the pilot's room and hijack it. If Tyr wanted to pilot something, it was go big or go home.

"That thing won't let us live. The moment it gets in range, the onslaught will destroy these ships with us in it, so we need to work fast. Find the engine, or find some explosives and blow it up. Loot what you want, then we Titanic this shit." Together, they made it to the interior. "Split. Take the right, I got the left. Time to earn your Jump Wings, big boy!" With a suckerpunch to a pirate's stomach and the impaling of his throat, Ari and Willow started down the hallway, hoping to find either the engine room or a room full of explosives

Alison was blocking an attack when Herah's voice came into her head. "Not quite. I'm holding down 3 enemies right now. Blow it up!" She yelled as she swung her shield to block. She had suffered quite a few cuts, but was fighting like a mad woman, but was starting to get worn out

She pushed pass the fatigue and kept fighting. She chose to jump back, suffering another cut on her arm, in favor of charging forward, shield out to knock her enemies down. The effect was like a domino of sorts, which gave her time to whip out her mace and smash some heads in

On the deck of ship three it was easier for the crew members to encircle the rampaging red beast. Each time a crew member attacked they were met with a killing blow. He had ripped off one of their leg and was swinging it wildly.

"Bracelet of Strength!"
She threw all the pirates off her and came charging back to Herah. She was bleeding a bit and sweating like she was in the shower, but she was fine. "I'm up. Let's get off this bucket!" She took a Flintlock Pistol and holstered it. She didn't have any ammo right now, so it was one shot only

A devastating explosion lurched the entire ship sideways. The powder kegs exploded. The entire ship was starting to turn sideways. "GET TO YOUR MOUNT!!" Alison yelled. She ran out and smacked Uriko on the head with her mace. Not hard, but hard enough for him to realize that she was speaking to him, and not an enemy. She grabbed him and put him on her back. Big or not, she was hauling ass with ease with him on her back. "This time don't jump off, or you'll be eating grass for the next month."

All the pirates on the ship were panicking now, and some were jumping off, and others were trying to signal to the other ship to come get them. It was all in vain though, as Nala lifted off from the ship as it started losing altitude, half of it on fire. Engine or not, this ship wouldn't be able to maintain altitude. It didn't help as more explosion ensued. It must've reached a room with more explosives.

"No need to tell me twice!" Herah replied, sprinting back on deck. Through he pirate forces. Bailey was once again cornered by the sheer number, but was cutting through them easily to make herself a way to her mount which was circling the ship with Hearh's. Speaking of her, she was pushing her way through the pirates, making her to Bailey. Upon reaching her, Herah picked up the woman, training her over her slouder before jumping to their mounts. Herah's would catch the pair, protesting at the weight until Herah helped Bailey over to her mount. "You're wounded milady," Herah said.

Bailey brushed her off, "It's only a flesh wound." "But you've been shot." "It's fine, I've been shot before." Herah scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Still wounded milady." "Bah." Bailey chuckled, though her shoulder hurt like fucking hell. "What's the plan milady?" "I want you to assist Misty with protecting the kids and Arabelle. Alison can do same if you wish, or you can join Ari. I'm going to join Tyr."

Herah nodded, "Understood Bailey, be safe." With that, Herah jumped down onto the deck of the second ship, slicing her way trhough pirates to make it to Misty and the ones she was protecting. "Thought you might need some help." Bailey was let off as well, having her and Herah's mount circle the ship again. "Alison, decided on what you're doing!" She called, slicing through a man's throat as she went to join her husband below deck.

"Tyr! What are you and Air looking for?" She asked as she caught up to him, happy to have spotted where they went from in the air. Kylesar1 Kylesar1 P Paint The Wind Safety Hammer Safety Hammer

Arabelle set Ryan down. She kissed his forehead. “Cover your ears and close your eyes. Mommy will be right back. Just focus on your magic.” The little boy was nervous but he did as he was told, and Arabelle tried to ignore what they were yelling at her but it just reminded her of her nightmares. She hadn’t slept in days so she wasn’t sure how her skills would be. She focused all her attention on where their voices were coming from, trying to pinpoint it and then she just attempted to attack them from behind he shield, trying to aim at their throats, but having no idea if she was even close. She hadn’t wielded her swords in seven years.

Her sword was blocked with ease. The pirate laughed at her. Breath rancid, his laugh hoarse "A fiesty one, I see. You'd better hope we don't get this shield down, because when I get to yas, I'll fu-" His threat was cut short as his face was caved in and he was knocked overboard. Alison to the rescue, as Ryan's shield was getting weaker. "I'm here, Arabelle to protect you and Ryan and Misty from these goons!" She stood in her fighting stance, ready to keep on fighting for her family. They were her masters, damn it, and she'd protect them with her life. She ripped something off her bracelet. One of her Seraph Wings, which enabled the user to heal injuries for about 1 minute each before disappearing for good. Good thing for her these wings were fairly easy to get. She gave it to Arabelle. "Heal Misty while I fight off these pirates." She charged back into the fray, effectively giving Arabelle enough time to accomplish the task of healing Misty. She didn't have to touch a specific part of Misty. She just needed to touch Misty period to start the healing

Arabelle whimpered in fear at the pirate’s voice and obeyed Alison quickly, very thankful that she had showed up. She held the wings to Misty, rubbing her belly with her other hand to try and soothe her as she was healed. Once that was finished she picked up Ryan and cradled him close, and he fell asleep in her arms. He had exhausted himself.

Tyr immediately jumped into anger dad mode, and picked the little girl up. He was not going to lose another friend, especially one like Ari. And by god, he was not going to let this little girl lose her father. Putting her on his shoulders and picking up a cutlass and flintlock pistol, he looked up at Willow.
"Willow honey, I am gonna ask you a big big favor. I need you to be super brave and help me find your daddy, okay?" The Bard asked, in his sweetest tone. "And whatever you do, try and keep calm. I believe that you can do it, buddy."

She nodded. Her tears kept falling, but she knew she had to take him back. She pointed forward down a hall full of pirates. "Down there......" She said, pointing. When she pointed, a black lightning bolt shot out of her hand purely by the virtue of her magic leaking, a complete mistake. It struck a pirate down. Make a note to not get in front of her. The rest of the pirates turned around to charge at them. The most notable one held a blunderbus, basically a shotgun, in a narrow corridor. Going headfirst against that was an effective suicide, unless Tyr had a trick up his sleeve.

Willow was a bit more brave now, as she was with the only other person she felt could really protect her. Uncle Tyr. She sat tall on Tyr's shoulders. "You're not gonna hurt my daddy! Go Grizzly Bear!" Tyr would feel himself start to grow fur and claws. Willow was unwittingly turning him into an actual Grizzly Bear

An unexpected club to the skull pulled the boy back to reality. The black fog in his eyes cleared and the tension in his body left him. He dropped to his knees cupping his neck with one hand. Looking up at Allison he reached out to her with a bloodied paw. She grabbed him by the wrist then threw him over her back. She could feel a warm wetness seep into her cloths with Uriko's chest pressed against her back. On their way to the rest of the party he slipped in and out of consciousness. He shed his fur. Some hair stuck to his body from sweat and blood. His wounds were now visible. His skin was ripped from his transformation. He had many several cuts and stabs from his fight.

Slicing through multiple pirates with her sword was easy. Standard steel, yet incredibly sharp, mere cloth couldn't protect you from it. The men who decided to challenge the Iron Dragon were daft, and fated for an untimely end. Herah was covered in blood, yet none her own. While she was ripping through various pirates, she spotted a child amongst the battle. Why was there a child among them? He didn't look like one of the groups children and as he was just snagged by a whip, he wasn't a pirates child. Unable to get to him from there, but as he was about to be slain; Herah formed a fireball and hurled at such a speed dodging it would be a feat of miraculous talent. Hopefully, the pirate about the kill the child would have not time to dodge. Jeda Teq Jeda Teq

"URIKO!!" She always knew that people got more fierce when their loved ones were in danger. She'd seen it a thousand times, yet she never really knew why. She knew, but only in an outsider view why, much like how people could understand why a child would keep someone up at night, but they'd never truly understand until they experience it themselves. She never experienced that feeling of a parent protecting their nest

That was all over now, as Alison saw Uriko in grave danger. She charged, her eyes tearful, yet full of a rage only seen when all that was left was murderous intent. Her life's purpose at that moment was to protect the little child she never thought she even liked, let alone loved, and kill them all

Pirate corpses were being tossed at the guy like a man throwing rocks. If she could carry a transformed Werewolf, she could carry a man. She charged through the ranks, not bothering to even acknowledge the existence of other pirates unless they wanted to be her next projectile when they grew up

Karsh has risen to his feet and started to feel a odd presence of the lightbringer in a fleet of pirate ships as he jumps and turns into a black and green blur as he travels through the sky.

After a few minutes of traveling he finally hears the sounds of a battle as he looks down onto the three ships. Noticing that the second ship has the most activity he starts to circle around that ship with his green and black misty blur before dive bombing himself onto the top deck landing on his feet where he returned onto his ghostly blade wraith form.

Karsh kneeled before khan as he started to proclaim his orders to him “ find me the lightbringer and give it to me..” the voice seemed dark and evil but what choice does he have. Karsh looks down to the floor and utters a lifeless response to him “ it will be done my lord

He looks around for someone of value to interrogate in order to gain information of the lightbringer.

(Oh dear. I don't know if it is in the lore or not, but Khan is dead. Super duper dead. And Lightbringer is as dead as Khan. It exploded when Khan died.)

Airship #2 Interior

Quinn was hiding in the shadows with their eyes closed as the sounds of battle raged on. Quinn just wanted to explore the flying boat, they didn't want to fight. They were just curious about the funny looking metal parts. Quinn peaked occasionally, seeing nothing but tiny bits of light and the occasional passing person. It seemed so dangerous and painful and noisy to be out there. Quinn made a soft humming noise of worry but made sure not to be loud enough for anyone to hear or detect them. They continued hiding within the walls, moving slowly through the shadows of the interior of the airship. Quinn wanted off. Quinn wasn't curious anymore. They wanted to get as far away from the flying boats as possible as soon as possible. Quinn around until they found what they figured was a little closet of sorts. They would obviously be safer here than in the walls that were being hit every other second by something. Quinn covered their ears and huddled in a ball in the corner, creating a barrier of light around themselves. The light gave off a rather strong glow, but Quinn was too scared to notice or care or even move at this point with all the action going on.

Airship 2- exterior to interior
Karsh closes his eyes behind the helmet and despite the constant fighting and various magic he felt a rather strange presence in the interior of the ship. Karsh walked inside the air ship lingering among the shadows tracking Quinn down as it seemed to take an intrest to him. as the minutes of searching went by he finally found Quinn on the move as he casually follows Quinn to the closet. As he walks to close him in on the dead silence footsteps he makes it nearly impossible to detect him except the too quiet Kinda feeling. Karsh was about to pull out his sword before the light bursted from the corner nearly blinding the wraith as he puts his arm over his masked eyes and makes a blood curdling screetch loudly that finally made his presence known

(You do realize the entire ship is being stormed, right? Nothing on this ship is quiet)

Airship 2 Interior

Willow ran down the hall. She was scared, but determined to get back to her daddy. As she came upon the pirates, the zombie pirates that had risen charged in to fight the hostile ones for her. As they fought, Willow used her small figure to crawl through the fray. Her darkness was thick and leaking bad, randomly shooting off and killing someone or summoning something. She was completely oblivious though, and single mindedly focused on finding her daddy.

All her fear went out the window when she saw a wraith. Since wraiths were creatures of darkness and she was a demigod of dark, they were pretty much harmless to her (if they used magic) she went over to the wraith and also saw a shadow. The 6 year old approached the wraith and shadow out of curiosity. Her darkness wrapped around her to protect from the harsh light.

(It's one of those feelings that from the noise that's going on around you you feel something is just crawling up your spine not right kind of feeling)

Karsh Finally stopped screeching by as the light was overwhelming to him as he formed into that flying ghostly mist form whizzing past the 6 year old girl and moving back into a different room that is next door to the room that contained the blighting light,

He landed into the next door room and reformed back into that wraith humanoid form but his armor was smoking lightly from the light that harmed him. " cissi de mon amul re kaz" he whispers to himself in his wraith language. It was nearly impossible to translate for mortals but it was some profanity and as well some dis-satisfaction of his pain from the light . He starts to manifest himself drawing more energy in so he can regain more power.

Quinn was about to make the barrier explode in a burst of damaging light magic at the sudden screeching of the wraith. They stopped though, noticing the little girl with darkness around her and the wraith fleeing slightly to escape the light that emanated from Quinn. Quinn lowered their shield and slowly moved towards Willow with curiosity just as deep as the little girls. The shadow moved on all fours very steadily until they were face to face with Willow. Quinn's eyes glowed white as they inspected the little girl. "Vinimo~" They spoke, their voice extremely soft and melodic. Quinn reached slowly to pet Willow's hair, halting just before doing so to see if Willow would allow them "Maga?" They asked quietly.

Evangeline Night

Interacting W/: No one, only Roy
Setting: Training field in Roy's backyard

"All you have to do, Eva, is attack this bag," Roy said to Evangeline, who was in her fighting stance. Her brown tail is high up, pleased with her progress. "That's it?" she asked, looking at the punching bag. "That's all? No... no extra laps? No using bows or guns? No using magic? Just punch and kick the bag? Just, just do anything to attack it?" Roy nodded, motioning her to do it. Eva sighed in relief. Roy told her the day before that today she had to do some serious training.

I guess I was wrong, she thought, smiling.

Eva then attacked with all her might. She did a right reverse punch in an attempt to punch the bag, but she didn't hear a loud THUMP of her hand hitting the bag. She gasped, eyes wide. Roy was moving back and forth with the bag. He was doing major flips and such, trying to make her miss.

Grinning, she realized what he meant.

She tried to do a spin-crescent kick with a 360 hook kick, but Roy once again moved the bag. Biting her lip, she decided to use her fox-fire. She opened her fist, revealing an orangish-brownish ball of fox-fire. She then threw the ball, trying to hit the bag. Roy did a backflip with the bag, and starting doing flips around Eva. The fire following him while he was doing it.

Eva grit her teeth. Maybe she could distract him, and the foxfire could hit the bag. Simpering, she decided to do ten spin crescent kicks, trying to attack the bag. Roy moved backwards, trying to avoid her attacks.

The foxfire turned in front of him, and hitting the bag with all of its might. Roy gasped, dropping the bag. He looked at the red, burned substance on the ground, and then back at Eva. He then started to clap. "Well done. You have passed."

Eva's ears perked up at "'well done. You have passed'". She gasped for air, smiling. "Thank you so much!"

However, her ears picked up something peculiar. A strange noise coming from above. The sky wasn't as quiet as she remembered. It was as if... there was a war in the sky.

((Sorry I joined in late!))
