Yay posted~! Sam is suspicious of everyone and their usual blunt, intimidating self ( :P ) Also I adopted Sachi's emote thingies in the Actions box. Speaking of - what are they??? What is that 'FA' tag and where did you find it/them? It doesn't look like it's in the emotes... Though there are some good ones in there.

ah ha fuck yes Sith rule Jedi drool. I wonder if there's a Republic symbol too. unlike the yen, the euro is specifically 'euro' but is also, directly above, 'eur'. That 'o' too much, aye? «drinks potion?» Did we have potions? Oh right we're literally going to see the potions merchant. My bad.


obviously this is Sam's weapon symbol. they have a genderless symbol, ftw. they've got logical ones like 'hand grab' or 'hand down' and then they have this fucking 'hand lizard' one. oh right it's so you can play 'rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock'. more great lgbt+ symbol, ftw. leaf??? a specifically not coloured in lemon??? ???? yes awesome more Star Wars.

There's a post in RPN of all the BB codes that could be used. I learned of the flag icon when looking for other things (like the health/progression bar)
 
I am working on Marcella's cs... I am going to try to have it finished before I go to bed.

I don't think its going to be quite as detailed as I want it to be, actually, which depresses me. I'm working on it though.
 
There's a few people who said they're going to post this week their CS, so I'm not going to start the fighting tutorial until next week. I hope nobody minds mingling a little longer.
 
Well, I have something posted. I plan to add more details when I'm not exhausted because I have her fleshed out a lot more than what is written.

Yay more people! But ooo a whole week? Well Sam hasn't even gotten to the Potions yet so I'm sure it'll work out (:3)
 
I wish I wasn't so tired/tipsy. Look, Sam is going to be passively following Aurora but I can't reply incharacter right now because it's honestly and effort just to type this reply. Argh typing so hard.
 
@SachiGrl I am confused about the changes you made to Marcella's smoke arrow. It simply doesn't make sense for her to fire an arrow as an evasive maneuver rather than an attack. If someone tries to punch her, shooting an arrow in response is NOT realistic by any means. Plus, the arrow could still theoretically do damage if it hits a person.


I'm also confused with the shocking arrow changes you made. An arrow is an arrow whether it is special or not, so it should still do the same amount of damage regardless of additional modifications. If the modification is too OP, let me know and I will find a different modification, but I would rather stick to some semblance of realism and realistically, when an arrow stabs someone, the damage would not be halved just because it does something else as well.

OK, I fail to see how shooting a smoke bomb in response to an incoming attack is unrealistic, even more so when, as an archer, you'll most likely be at some distance from your opponent who needs to close in before they can actually hit you. By giving you the ability to use this skill during an evasion roll it actually benefits you seeing as you still have an attack roll to do damage, if we make it an attack roll then all you get is to use a skill that does no damage for that turn. Also, if we want to be more realistic, then a "smoke bomb" wouldn't be able to do damage because chemicals necessary to produce enough smoke to cover a ten foot radius would not also be useful for creating any form of an explosion. What it could do is maybe create a small sound wave at most.


As for the shock arrow, I suggested the damage be halved to preserve the balance of combat. It's not fair if you have an attack that does full damage and stuns the target. Why would you use anything else if you could always just use the shock arrow to do full damage plus stun?


In addition, I'd like to mention that your character, in terms of combat, is quite solid. You have an opener that will put damage over time on monsters (poison arrow), then do half damage plus stun (plus still having damage from poison arrow), then mixing in grappling hook plus smoke arrow in with the occasional fire arrow will allow you to easily dwindle any monster.

Shooting a smoke bomb in theory does nothing to stop an oncoming ranged attack. That is why I see it as unrealistic. If the ranged attack has been released before Marcella shoots the smoke arrow then the attack is already on target in theory and Marcella would more likely move out of the way rather than stand right in the way of the attack and shoot another arrow.


I wasn't implying that the arrow would cause an explosion, or at least I wasn't meaning to. What I meant to imply was that a smoke arrow is still an arrow and could therefore still pierce someone or something.


One more thing: if Marcella appears well built for combat, you are missing one crucial point. If someone so much as punches her, Marcella's bones break. She is so fragile I can't even figure out how to translate it into her cs... She isn't meant to be strong or powerful. She is meant to be a weakling trying to become strong yet epically failing at it.

You do not have to use the smoke bomb as an evasion roll. I, now, understand your confusion. In an evasion roll, you can either use a skill (like the arrow smoke bomb) or simply just move your character. So, if in the case you're describing, you'd just do a regular evasion roll. Do you understand? Sorry for the confusion!


In regards to your character's weakness, just describe the pain or say your character fainted. I'm sure your teammates (no one is recommended to fight alone... especially your character in this instance) will protect you until you wake up! ^.^
