The Blood Demon Clan - Out of Character

@SachiGrl - I have little doubt he was asking for the current ratios.

@TheGreatGavino - (This, btw, can be found by quickly browsing the Character Sign-Up tab). At the moment we have 1 Warrior, 1 Fighter and 2 Mages however we also have a few CS's as WIP (4 potential warriors, 2 potential fighters, 2 potential mages and one of unknown class. So applying as a Beserker-type warrior won't over-stack the current balance.

Additionally, Sachi has mentioned that the group will probably be split into teams which should help keep variety.

As Sachi said above, the skills and stats are only for combat - anything else is part of your Detailed roleplay writing. On the plus side, that means your Beserker can totally help out out-of-combat. But that also means you don't need to worry about your skills effect out-of-combat.

Look forward to seeing a Beserker around! I almost went full beserker, but then I just half did it instead ( :P )

That is nice to know, I'm considering making it a classic berserker type, possibly Minotaur or animistic type. This is directly for RP purposes, as some always seem to water down their posts in dice based RPs or focusing purely on being the top combatant, with little thought on truly creating a dynamic character that can y'kno actually communicate and act akin to their lifestyle.

As this Dice rp is partially written RP (and it's specifically mentioned in the rules that you need to RP write how your dice rolls happened) hopefully that won't be too much of a problem in this RP.

Also Sam will happily head-bump/butt your minotaur ( :P )

Head-bump might not be to his liking, horns tend to be sharp.

I've got the core of my CS posted, but having trouble with the odd non-simple text boxes (the stats and the picture) with bringing them onto the post reply box. Somewhat new to the site, after a short couple week stint here in the past.

It's not like his head is hovered in horns - there's a spot between the horns to bump. (Is he a typical bull-based minotaur?)

Just click 'Reply' and you can see the code any post uses (so you can click 'Reply' on anyone's Character Sheet/CS and it'll show you the code for the little Stats sidebar thingy. You can flip between the default Rich Text Editor and by clicking on the wrench icon you can see the raw code). Also here has a bunch of the BBCodes explained.

Let us know if you need any other help (:3)

And this one for your CS (Whatever you want)

@Kal

I'm logging out for the day. If you do update your skills (and they happen to be the ones we went over), then your character is accepted. She could start RPing.

Good Night everyone!!

I need to stop staying up late

*sigh*

@Moribund Accepted. I tweaked deflect. It's not that op. Every 4 turns, you can use it.

Your character may now enter the market and purchase goods.

Uh idk what to do for skills
i hunted through everything again and there were no skills, unless i overlooked something both times??
You did miss something! It says that skills are yours to create - there's no prewritten list (hence all these Skill/Spell rewrites ( :P ) ) So go wild literally, in your case!

(Edit: Ah, sorry, it's implied that the spells/skills are yours to create. I coulda sworn it specifically said it somewhere at some point.)

Oh, alright. Hmm, this might take some thought and work. Need working skills that also fit in story wise
I reccomend making other people do the leg work for you - for instance, I yoinked all Sam's skills off of the Dragon Age wiki because they already had a bunch of Warrior skills. Then I edited them so they worked for this dice system and added flavour text. It's not too hard to make most skills work for your backstory - the flavour text is where you make it fit. That and keeping your skills kinda vague (not in dice function but in name and flavour).

Are there status effects, like for example being stunned for a turn?
I don't think anyone has.... no wait I think there have been some spells that do that.

Do you mean can enemies put status effects (like "Stunned for a round") on our PCs or can our characters put status effects on enemies? I'm quite certain you can have skills that have status effects on enemies (I believe there's a few Spells that do that already) and I'm reasonably sure that enemies can do the same back - there is a potion called "Antidote" which cures poison, after all, so I assume that means enemies can at least make a Poison status effect.

But SachiGrl or TheRadinator will tell you when you post your skills if one of your skills isn't practical (like if you made a "Can resist stun" skill they would tell you "Um PCs aren't ever going to be stunned").

I mean like as an example, and dont hold me to this as quickly written and not really thought out

Power Attack - The strength of the blow renders the enemy stunned for the round, unable to attack!

It's whatever you want. You create your skills for your character.

Yeah, none of the demons/creatures have stunning abilities. Only select can poison. Hence, I added antidotes for that very reason!

This is a good move. I don't like guaranteed ailments, so you'd have to roll an even number To Stun the enemy. C:
