The Battle for FableWood - Battlefront

Arianne smiled at Leandra commenting her spirits being fuzzy. That was definitely not something many people had said about the curious little ones but she was happy that they were having fun. Seeing how events transpired between Ember and Ward she chuckled, stepping next to the girl.

" That there is nothing to your name is an insult on its own, my good Lady. " she said with a coy smile, looking up at her. Some newer spirits seemed to emerge, dashing around Ember playfully " Courage and devotion is something many lack - to offer yourself to serve and protect Ward is a heavy burden, something very few would dare to carry. Yet here you are, doing just that. If anyone is worthy of a title to call of her own - and that being a noble Lady - then it is you. "

She listened how Ward spoke to her and when he went out with Briar to greet and address the warriors she chuckled.

" Don't worry, you seem to be a capable defender - and a cute one at that. And plus, I think he likes you. That is a big bonus. Go-go, Ember! "

She smiled at the girl before she decided to walk outside of the tent as well. Some of the more obedient wisps flew with her yet some stayed behind, still playing with Ember... like nesting in her hair.

Arianne looked at the incoming people, seeing many familiar faces. She recognized some yet needed to discover her new allies as well - a man with his golems seemed to be a powerful wizard for one, Ember she already knew... a strange, spirit like creature was also emanating powers even she did not understand and he captivated her attention despite her not knowing where he was. But shortly after they went out she began listening.

Normally she would have stayed behind for studying magic... but in Nyr's absence she somehow felt that she needed to join the battlefield, even if for a short time. She knew that her powers grew exponentially and that she would be not a liability this time to the cause - she would focus and concentrate on the task in front of her with all her might.

She owed this much to Ward. To everyone.

She looked into the eyes of the people before them. Some eager to go to war - some hesitating. She knew all too well that not everyone would be willing to join the fray... but she felt that setting an example would be something encouraging to everyone. After waiting for his speech to come to a halt she stepped forward, bowing before Ward then turning to the small crowd, hoping to inspire them with a small speech, encouraging them to join them.

" The Prince had spoken... his words should reverberate in your heart, you should feel the benevolence, the kind call to arms he is issuing to all of us. We all share this burden, the responsibility is for all of us to bear: both action and inaction will have its fruits. Staying here to develop tactics, prepare infirmaries or just tending the wounded or the women with children - these deeds are as significant as waging war on the battlefield. "

Some people fell silent, some began to whisper but Arianne continued.

" No matter where you stay and what you choose to do know that the Light watches over us all. Noble souls are always the victors, hope always prevails. The darkness can not possibly win against a unified FableWood: nothing can break our will - our spirits. "

She turned to Ward, bowing once more respectfully.

" I offer my services to you, your Majesty. Let our enemies know the wrath of the light on the battlefield - let they witness the folly of their foolish crusade. With other heroes on your side... I am sure we shall triumph. "

Continuing to watch as more and more of the group crowded around the entrance to the tent to watch as the new recruits introduced himself, Leo felt a presence approach and stop beside him. Looking down, he noticed the young human Takeo as he smiled up at Leo. Leo returned the smile and shrugged his plated shoulders with a sigh.

"My attempts with the beasts of the neighboring forest are to be in vain I'm afraid. They simply wish to be left alone during the Fablewoods darkest hours. A small band of forest pixies threatened to pluck out my one good eye if I returned."

He chuckled at this statement, the pixies having been no bigger than his thumb and when he had returned they had no recollection of the threat at all.

Leo's ears perked up at Takeo's next statement. He had run into this same problem before. Many of the Ozites such as Tik Tok had made it a habit to salute Leo upon approach. He merely brushed the salute off and continued on, but he couldn't do that with his friends.

"There is no need to salute me young Takeo. We are friends and always will be, and friends do not salute each other."

He gave Takeo another smile, before he pointed out that there was yet another visitor at Leo's side. This one was even smaller than Takeo and one that Leo had never seen before. Leo cocked his head to the side and kneeled down so as to get a better look at the little creature and as he did another familiar voice cheer joyfully to them. Leia's smiling face made Leo smile again as she too came to inspect the little golem. He placed a hand on the little figures head, and his good eye glowed for a moment searching for the spark of life within. In a flash his eye returned to normal and he retracted his hand.

"You are quite the oddity aren't you. Most constructs do not house life like this creature does. Very interesting."

Leo held out a hand to the little creature, noting how it had asked to play. He glanced sideways to Leia and then back to the figure.

"It reminds me of your band of little ones Leia. How are they progressing? Still practicing every day with Kallin?"

Before Leia had a chance to respond, Ward had begun to speak and the important business of the meeting was being addressed. Leo listened and recalled the meeting he had had not to long ago with The Wizard and Ozma upon his return to Oz. They were more than willing to lend whatever support to Fablewood that they could, provided that Leo be the one to lead the Ozite armies. He had agreed to this, and conveyed this to Princess Briar and Ward upon his return. As the General of the Ozites, he would not be following Ward on this particular adventure, a prospect that made him both intrigued and nervous at the same time.

Otto

Otto sniffed at the little figures as they approached and pinned his ears down when it began to speak. Whatever this thing was, he had not exspected it to start talking. When the little creature produced a small assortment of flowers though, Otto's ears raised in excitement and he sat back on his rump as his tail wagged from side to side.

"I'm Otto! It's nice to meet you Ryna!"

Otto's tongue flopped over the side of his mouth, and only one of his ears lifted to full upright form as he watched Ryna toss a tiny stone at one of the other little golems, dispersing them to the corners of the clearing.

Otto trotted over to where the little rock had gone and picked it up with his mouth. Trotting happily back over to Ryna, he dropped the stone in front of her and once again returned to a sitting position, his eyes darting from the stone to Ryna.

His chance at play was cut short however by the sudden commanding voice of Ward which made him shift his attention. From what Ward was saying, he was bound for another thrilling adventure somewhere in Fablewood. Otto's jumped to his feet and his head whipped back to where Kallin and Luness where standing.

Padding excitedly over to the two of them, Otto shifted a few feet away from them and skid to a stop with his human arms raised high over his head.

"Guys! This is gonna be so much fun. Just like before!! I wonder where Ward is taking us!?"

Ember stood where she was, one hand hanging in the air as she recalled the tingling feeling covering her fingers where he had touched. Moments before, when he reached for her hand, there seemed to be a pale green glow emanating from his skin... Just what had he done to her? She did not feel that anything was wrong with her.. So what he had done was not harmful. So had it been something good?

Her train of thought was shattered as Arianne popped into her field her vision. Her words about devotion and courage made a faint smile appear on her face, a rare occurance. The young girl's lively and cheerful chatter filled the air and, if she were another person, would've probably annoyed the firebird, But in the short time that she had known the priestess, she found that she was growing on her, slowly but surely. And the little spirit-creatures as well...

Once Arianne had taken her leave to join the crowd, leaving Ember to herself in the shadow of the tent, she took the time to really think about things... About the Prince's reaction... Even though the Prince had accepted her request, she had not missed the expression on his face. He seemed hesitant, reluctant almost... Was he doubtful of her capabilites? Was he just perhaps... Not wishing to be guarded? There were so many question... But so little answers.

Then she thought of Arianne's words.
How kind and sweet she was, but how little she knew of Ember. Her motivation was the debt she owed to Her Highness for freeing her, something she would gratefully pay back with her life. After all, before meeting the Princess, she was but a glorified pet in a cage.

Old memories resurfaced in her mind and she shivered, pushing away her dark thoughts, instead finding distraction in the Prince and Arianne's speeches. It would seem that among the group of people gathered, quite a handful would be joining the Prince. As for Ember, she would go where he went though she would not voice it in front of such a crowd and risk drawing attention to herself. Though, she prayed that the Ward would have assumed so.

Ian focused his attention back to the announcement, hearing that some will go on a quest, he wasn't really the questing type, not since his acciddnt with the plane crash before he came here. He sighed, wishing that had never happened, but the past is the past.

Ozzy stood on top of the tent, feeling the wind blowing on his stone face, he took a deep breath, taking a step forward and tumbling down the tent, this was gonna end bad, Ozzy though, closing his eyes as he rolled at a fast speed. The way he was going, he was soon to fall on top of Ward and some others standing beside him, that would really hurt. Ian turned his gaze to the sky and noticed Ozzy rolling down the tent, aiming for Ward." Oh man, this is gonna be bad." He silently cursed himself for forgetting about them and quickly dug his hand in the earth. He concentrated his magic and summoned two ckay hands from the earth, he manipulated the arms and made them form a net above Aard and the others, he sighed as the net didn't break under Ozzy's weight.

Ozzy slowly opened his eyes, fearing for the worst, but yet here he was on a net. He quickly jumped off the net and ran towards his master, feeling ashamed for almost injuring some innocent people. Ian simply looked at Ozzy, he placed a hand on his head,"Don't feel bad, it was my fault for forgetting about you guys." He replied in the softest voice he can, he can already tell Ozzy felt terribly sorry, and he didn't want to make him feel worse. Ozzy brightened up, standing by his master proudly, he was lucky to have a kind master."Now, to find Ryna and Rocko." He jogged off looking for them.

Ryna chuckled as the wolf, who said its name was Otto, brung her back the rock, wanting to play with her. She was about to throw the rock when Ward announced something, she sighed, sitting down and picking flowers like she usually did. Soon he found her picking flowers like she usually did."I see you guys went to find friends huh?" He couldn't be mean to them for looking for friends, lest he couldn't punish them. She ran towards her master, handing her the flowers she had picked."They're lovely, as always." He gratefully took the flowers, sniffing them. Ryna smiled, knowing she didn't disappoint her master.

Meanwhile, Rocko left the group he was with, running to the camp entrance. He spotted a giant golem and ran after it, he had never seen one of his kind that big. He jumped around Ty, trying to play with it.

Ian and the rest ran towards the entrance, finally spotting Rocko, as they got closer, they saw a giant golem. Ian stopped, looking astounded. Never had he seen a golem that big. He looked around the giant to see a group of people. "Hello, and welcome all to the battlecamp." He stood there, looking fascinatinated, as he still held the flowers Ryna had given him. The rest of the golems ran after Rocko and surrounded a girl and the giant golem.

Amused by Ember's disregard of a title to her name, Leandra mused, "Now you sound like Luness."

Shrugging it off since it was of little matter to her, Leandra was almost immediately amused again, as Ember seemed to struggle to address Ward in a casual manner. Then again, Leandra had been a little uncertain of herself when she first met everyone, too. She supposed it wasn't too different from her own experience.

While the others talked amongst themselves for a moment, Leandra took this moment to cautiously reach around her chest and then swiftly snatch at the side of her wing, snagging it before it flapped out annoyingly like it did every time. Now with a wing in hand, Leandra pulled it out a bit in front of herself before she began plucking some small stones and twigs, even some grass, that had all gotten entangled in her feathers. She really was going to have to work on her landings...and attention span.

Hearing 'Birdbrain' mentioned again, Leandra quickly lost her focus in cleaning her wing, which promptly folded itself against her back, just barely missing Ward's face, though Leandra didn't even notice.

Grinning, Leandra glanced sideways at Ward before saying, "Don't worry, Birdbrain is already my new name for you."

Rolling her eyes at Ward playing off his perfect landings, Leandra crossed her arms over her chest before muttering, "Show-off", even though she saw through his lie. It was more fun to play along in this case.

Seeing Ward heal whatever pain Ember had felt, Leandra suddenly felt bad, as she'd been the one to crash into the woman. She should've healed her as a proper apology, too.

Looking down at the ground now, Leandra kicked at some weed near her while wondering just how annoyed Ember was with her.

When Ward teased her again, Leandra instantly was grinning once more, as she stuck her tongue out at him and then replied, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, Birdbrain."

Leandra had been amused by Kallin's response to her teasing earlier, but figured it was smarter to keep her distance while Luness was around. She could be hard to read and dangerous at times so Leandra didn't always like to push her luck around the werecat.

Suddenly, Ward moved away and began announcing his quest and that those who wished not to go on it could stay here and help prepare for war.

All things considered, Leandra was still struggling deeply with her flying, which meant that going into a battle scene or even staying here in a hospital setting could result in her putting others in danger due to her lack of flight skills. Plus, the quest team would no doubt need some kind of skilled healer, as Ward couldn't be expected to do all the healing on his own. He'd get exhausted if he overexerted himself.

With a confident grin, Leandra took a small step towards Ward, trying not to get in his little spotlight area, as she prepared to proclaim her decision, only to catch her breath, as the young priestess began her speech.

Letting out her breath in a comically deflated manner, Leandra raised an eyebrow at Arianne, as she went into a full-blown, somewhat emotional, and partly dramatic speech about everyone choosing their sides or rather, choosing to join the quest team or staying to fight and whatnot.

With a shrug, Leandra waited until the girl was done speaking before she kinda awkwardly waved at Ward and said confidently, "I'll go on the quest, Ward. I can help heal and continue working on my flying..." With a pause and a rub of the back of her neck, Leandra then added sheepishly, "...and my landings."

Not far away, Luness was still standing her ground, as Kallin stammered through his response, only to change the subject on her.

Almost immediately, Luness was chuckling, though her laughter remained quieter than most. Shaking her head in amusement, Luness let her arms drop to her sides before she said calmly, "Don't think I didn't notice any of that, Kal."

Smirking at the mage, Luness quickly grew quiet once Ward began announcing something.

Listening to the prince announce the quest, Luness remained quiet, as she moved her arms to cross behind her back while she listened. She already knew where she was going to be. Staying here to further train the werebeasts before the coming war and to stay with her pack. Not to mention the fact that Kallin would be here. Though, Luness was pretty sure that was because she would be here...and with that thought, Luness felt a warmth in her heart, which had slowly become more normal for her the longer she'd spent time with Kallin. She no longer panicked at the feeling and instead welcomed it.

With the feeling inside, Luness couldn't help but smile just faintly at her own thoughts.

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted, though, as Otto rejoined the pair with an abundance of excitement, as per usual. Alas, Luness had no good news for her half brother.

Folding her right ear against her head, Luness let her arms move back to her sides, as she then moved one to the back of her neck and rubbed at it.

"Otto..."

Unsure of how to break the bad news to him, especially since Luness wasn't entirely keen on keeping him with the group back here and putting him in danger, especially since he still didn't have his feral form under control, Luness looked sideways at Kallin for some backup. She just couldn't bring herself to hurt her half brother's feelings, which would no doubt happen once he heard her thoughts on all of this.

He listened as Arianne spoke to Ember, raising an eyebrow at her as she assured Ember of his own feelings, he said nothing however, just looked for Ember's eyes to tell her he welcomed her to the team as well. He caught her distant and troubled look, making a mental note to question her gently at a more appropriate time.

Ward smiled down at Arianne ad her pledge to help him, but not before looking skyward as if searching for patience. "What did I say about titles?" His voice was mildly teasing, and in no way unkind. "Thank you Arianne, your company will be a blessing."

Leandra also stepped forward and Ward gave her a grateful look. He had hoped she would come. Through the weeks after Elena went missing, teaching Leandra had been one of the few things that could draw his mind away from worrying. If she was on the quest it would also mean she would not be fighting in the war, which meant he could keep her safe. She was after all one of the humans he was sworn to protect.

Leia beamed at Leo, happy he took an interest in her progress, she still looked up to the big lion a great deal.

"Its going great I think, sometimes they still don't get along but I'm working on that." Leia had begun to realize that their emotions were linked to her own. If she was not balanced, they wouldn't be either. "I'm staying here." She added. "I think I can help a lot more fighting an army then I can with that artifact...but, just in case I get into trouble, you've got my back right?"

Her expression became a little more serious. "Have you heard anything from Nyr?"

@zCrookedz

Kallin's heart clenched as he saw the excitement on Otto's face. He returned Luness' look of discomfort and went to stand beside her.

"Look, Otto...thing is...we won't be coming with you." He put a gentle hand on the boy's arm. "We're needed here, but, we also want you safe. Ward and the others can make sure you are. I'm sorry Otto, but for now...this has to be goodbye."

Suddenly a horn rang out in the distance. Then another, closer this time. Briar's face fell and then set itself in a grim expression.

"Caraboss' forces have broken through in the marshes...To arms!" She gave the order and the battle horns blew. All of a sudden the immediate area was a clamour of people. Soldiers rushed for their armour and weapons while Brenna ordered her guards to usher the quest-goers into the war tent.

"This way! I have much to explain and not enough time!"

In the confusion Ward watched as Briar was brought her horse. "Wait! Princess!" She was already in the saddle when he reached her.

"Please be careful." He said, concern filling his eyes. Regardless of what he was now, he had been her servant for so long he couldn't help but worry for her.

"You too." She said. "We will meet again Ward...please let Ember watch over you." With that she spurred her mount forward and began to rally her troops to her.

Kallin frowned as the camp spring into action. He turned Otto toward the tent. "Go." He caught sight of Ward making his way against the tide of soldiers.

"Hey Ward!"

The gryphon prince stopped and made his way over to them.

"Take care of Otto for us."

Ward looked to Kallin, and then to Luness before gripping the mage firmly by the shoulder. "On my life." He said, looking down at the young werewolf.

Then he stood to hold the tent flap open for the party. "Inside, quickly!"

Ariella practically bounced on her toes but soon she felt Sir Tumnus' hands on her shoulder, pulling her back and keeping her from wandering off. "Stay here with Ty and don't wander off." He said sternly, before patting her head as he and the rest of the fawns trotted off where the rest of the other fawns were but made haste to the captain first. Seeing Sir Tumnus' retreating form, Ariella nodded solemnly, waving, though he couldn't see her. "Come back soon, okay?" She called out to him before she whipped her head over to her giant-friend. Giggling at Ty's observation and seeing how amazed he was at the atmosphere of the forest to the camp, Ariella nodded, "Mm, yes! It is quite loud here! They are preparing for a battle between the witch and her men. I believe her name is Caraboss. She is trying to take over Fablewood. Sir Tumnus said everyone that arrived here is on the side of "good" and they want to protect Fablewood from darkness." She explained to him, hoping he'd understand a little bit of what she was talking about. Although he was from fablewood, it seemed, it didn't know much of what was happening. Why was that? Also, what did he mean by awaken in the tower? He was asleep for all this time? Was it a spell too? But, feeling as if it was a bit too much of a saddened topic, Ariella switched it as she asked innocently, "Ty, are we friends? As in we help each in other, talk to each other, and just stay with one another? It would be nice to have you as a friend, you will be the second one I made here!" She squealed excitedly as she remembered back in the forest how Ty's eyes seemed to change colors. Was it according to his mood? Was he sad when she was about to leave him? Well, never fear! She couldn't let him go, especially when she made friends with him even if he wants her company or not! Looking behind her and Ty, Ariella wondered how the birds were doing: Tweet, Chirp, and Peep. She couldn't help but giggle once more when it came to the mix-up of names and Ty took her words seriously and mistakenly. "There is so much to see here, Ty! Where should we start first? We can go look together! Should we head tot he stables where the horses would be? Or would there be some other sparring areas to see how others combat and train?" It seems Sir Tumnus' warning had flew over her head as she excitedly looking around the area. The smell of thick leather, iron, and the noise of clashing swords seemed to up her excitement even more as her eyes widened in amazement everywhere. "Let's walk up a bit more, it is better to get a closer look!" Without further ado, Ariella took some steps forward, looking side to side as she gasped loudly. "Amazing!" She squeaked out.

However, one place that had caught her attention at the time was the one with a massive red circular symbol, with gold trim and the emblem of a book and sun painted on the door, and on a flag flying proudly in the wind. Feeling the soft breeze brush through her hair swiftly, Ariella took in a deep breathe of the air. But, there were many different crowds of beings stationed near the tent. Squinting her eyes to see, she noticed a young priestess, a male side-by-side with a red-eyed woman, a half-wolf, an armored woman, and two Royals Majesties and His Highness, at least that's what she believed from their attires. However, her eyes glanced at a half-lion, some whisps laughing and playing around, as well as a few different animal spirits lurking around. Placing a hand over her lips, Ariella attempted to cover her surprise and shock as she stood stunned, not believing that she was actually here. The scenary looked as if it popped out of her own imagination or her very own story book! It was too surreal and she wanted to ask so, so many questions, even if it wasn't an appropriate time!
"Ty. . Ty. . . they. . they are all real, right? I am not dreaming, am I?" She said out-loud, not sure how to take everything in. It was more than she could ever imagine, but that being said, did she have to arrive to Fablewood at such bad timing? Or was it good-timing? Seeing laughter and the atmosphere over there, Ariella had an urge to come forward and walk over to greet them. However, before she could, the Prince or King, she assumed earlier, stepped up and spoke to everyone. Hearing his the clarity in his voice as it commanded the attention of everyone there, Ariella looked at him, listening to his words as if it was clear as day. He would be taking a small team to uncover some artifacts? What were the artifacts for? Were they going to help them defeat the witch? As many questions ran through her head and the Prince or King had finished his speech, though, she could guess he was a Prince by his appearance. Looking over at Ty, Ariella tilted her head, "Ty, what do you think? Are you going to go on the quest or stay here? Do you know what the artifact is? I am curious to know. Plus, it's another adventure! And I feel as if. . something is calling me to go with them. . " She said enthusiastically, though, she really did feel as if she was being pulled to go with the quest team. Just what was the reason why? And why was she brought here? Perhaps going with them would bring her more answers and they seemed to know more than she would. However, at seeing the young priestess speak up, perhaps, not more than 12 years old, Ariella found herself admiring her spirit and her honor. "The Priestess is wise though young, Ty! And she looks cuddly and adorable!" Listening to her words about the Light and her wisdom of either them choosing to stay on the battlefield and behind, or choosing to go with the Prince, they were all noble feats and decisions. Ariella couldn't help but wonder if the Priestess before her was blessed with Light?

As the group that were around the main tent gathered to join the Prince or decided to stay behind, Ariella heard a voice from behind. Looking over, she saw Sir Tumnus as her eyes widened,
"Sir Tumnus!" She exclaimed as a genuine smile made it's way towards her lips. "Little one, you must go with Prince Ward. The battlefield isn't suited for a youngin' as yourself, seeing that you're inexperienced. You will be better off helping him and the quest they are taking. I will be staying here to help the troops with everything I can in my power. This is where we have to part." At those words, tears welled around her eyes as she found herself glomping Sir Tumnus, letting the tears roll down her cheeks little by little as she sniffled. She couldn't let go of him, not after she saw him as a big brother, someone who'd protect her. He had been with her since day one and now he was leaving her? Leaning back, Ariella wiped her tears, "Must you go? Can you not come with us? I do not mind going on the quest, but there are so many questions and answers I would like to ask you and be given back. I would miss you. Will I see you again?" Ariella vulnerably said sadly, as she looked into Sir Tumnus eyes, seeing his also worried and saddened expression. Gently patting her head, Sir Tumnus spoke, "You will never be alone. I will find you again and we will meet you again. Fate works in mysterious ways. Have Hope, Miss Ariella Elisabeth Hope. Did you not say you represent Hope? Now, be hopeful that we will meet again." He said solmenly, reassuring his young birdy. At those words, Ariella felt hope rejuvenating towards her as she wiped her tears and smiled brightly. She knew Sir Tumnus was right and there were things that must be done before they could ever live peacefully without worries. Nodding, Ariella agreed, "You are right, Sir Tumnus. We will meet again and I will always have Hope. Please take care of yourself out there and I will see you soon!" At those words, they looked at each other one last time before Sir Tumnus went away from her as she waved back towards him. Sighing slightly, Ariella looked towards Ty, "He was my first friend and protector. He sort of raised me during my time here and it makes me a little sadden to know we will be apart. But, I believe we will see each other again. What will you do, Ty? Are you going to stay or are you going with the Prince? Maybe. . you can see more on the quest than the battlefield?" She asked him.

Gowever, soon enough, Ariella looked around, seeing another small version of Ty jumping around him as she giggled and squealed.
"Oh my goodness! Ty! There is a mini version of you! He is so cute! Hi, little one! What is your name? What are you exactly? It seems Ty and I do not know what kind of creatures you all are." She asked him curiously as she looked at the little one jumping. However, hearing a voice, Ariella turned around to look at a man that was quite a bit taller than her and he carried a flower in his hands. But, what caught her attention the most were three other mini versions of Ty, however, each other them had their own shade of color, it seemed! "Thank you for the welcome! Who are the little ones next to you? They are so adorable!" Ariella squealed, practically bouncing on her feet once more as she couldn't contain her excitement. Kneeling down before the golems, though she didn't know what they were called, Ariella tilted her head, smiling happily as she extended her hand, "Hello, my name is Ariella Elisabeth Hope. You can just call me Ariella, what about you guys? "She asked them politely. But, soon enough, another horn rang out in the distance as Ariella jumped up, looking over at where the noise could be from. Another horn blew, as she watched the troops saddle up and took up their arms as she gasped softly. The soldiers began rushing to get prepared as Ariella saw the two woman, perhaps the Princess, get on a horse and commanded the troops. However, hearing that she and the others who weren't going to battle needed to go into the main tent, Ariella looked ahead, seeing the young Prince open the tent for all of them to get inside. "Ty, Sir, and my little friends, I think we need to get inside that tent quickly if we are not heading with the troops." She stated quickly and hesitantly. Looking at Ty, she nodded at him and then towards the male and the rest of the mini-Tys, "We should go." Ariella suggested as she made her way over towards the group of people and the tent. Ariella bowed her head, "Hello . . my name is Ariella, I will join your quest Prince. I will help as much as I can." She said before looking over at Ty, the man, and the mini-Tys to see if they were coming. Soon enough, she saw her all-too familiar guide Sir Tumnus and the rest of her "family" as she wished them good luck and their safety.

Arianne smiled at Ward's response. It was evident that she was probably overplaying her role. After all she was but one priestess, nothing more... it was just an impulse deep within her which drove her to announce things like these to people to put their uneasy hearts at ease... knowing well that some of the other heroes did not necessarily think that it was important. Maybe it wasn't. But for Arianne... it meant a lot.

She looked how happily did Leandra talk to Ward - even back in the tent and outside now. She saw that kindred bond between the two of them... almost a brotherly and sisterly love... it was absolutely beautiful to watch and to feel. She knew not exactly how did Ward and the girl met but... something told her that their connection was one of the strongest bonds of friendship - at least she chose to believe that. The little girl watched as the two exchanged words and glances and she was now happy. With people like these around Ward she was certain that they would not have any issues.

Looking around she could catch the glimpse of Kallin and Luness right now. The latter, the lady who was once very hard to approach, made her smile. She admired the alpha for her style and her tenacity though it is true that it was not very often that she tried to talk with her. She was uncertain whether the enigmatic warrior would join them on this perilous journey or not so she remained and observed her as long as it was possible. The girl scoured the area, noticing a rather strange band of people approaching. It seemed to be humans... and strange rock creatures. Remembering from reading the beastiary Arianne recalled these constructs being called 'golems'... though she never personally met one in life. As she inspected the group of people her eyes met with the one girl who looked rather... pure. This was a strange thing for she had not seen this much innocence in a grown up person before... how curious their company will be...

No matter how much she wanted to observe the incoming soldiers her little light wisps were acting a bit impatient. They were becoming restless and probably wanted to play with the girl inside the tent for they were pulling her hair towards that direction. She let out a chuckle and smiled.

" All right, all right don't be so greedy. " she chuckled, walking into the tent, looking for a place to rest. Yet before she could have done so she paused for a moment, staring at someone that was very stern and resolute despite all the rather light-hearted introductions. Ember stood close to Ward, seemingly lost in her thoughts - but Arianne knew deep down that it was not the case at all. A somewhat mysterious aura surrounded the bodyguard, one Arianne felt all too familiar from somewhere - but only after few moments did she realize where she had felt this before. Nyr was emanating the same, strange aura as this girl.

" It seems we will have a good envoy to protect Ward. " she said silently " It is only a matter of time before- "

She was cut short from the sudden horn as she raised her head. Sudden movement was heard from all around them, people were hurrying back and forth as they were preparing from something. The little girl stood firmly there, her hand now clutching her staff with might she had never exerted before. Her eyes narrowed and her sweet smile vanished almost immediately as she understood the situation. It was time.

" I hope you are ready, girl. " she spoke quietly so that Ember could hear it as well. In reality this message was not meant to her exclusively. The little heart of Arianne was beating faster, it palpitating more rapidly ever passing second and slowly but steadily made her way into the tent as ordered. Though she could muster enough calmness to maintain her demeanor she was feeling the anticipation of the battle washing over her. More and more people entered the tent and Arianne decided to find a safe spot where she would not bother many... but would still hear the plan and the tactics. Unknowingly, she managed to back away a bit closer to the newcomers than she expected.

Leo watched as the one after another faces turned towards Ward and agreed to go with him and his quest for more answers. Leo wondered if he would take the newcomers with him, after all, there was much of Fablewood that they had not seen yet. Many of them were untested, and using magics the like that he had never seen before. How would they stand up to Carabosse's forces? Would they be of use in the search for more answers towards the key they had recovered?

Leo's head swam with questions, only to be pulled once more from them at the sound of Leia once more. He looked down at her listening to how her training was going and nodded to her. He had watched on a few occasions during some of his meditative reflections and could feel the the different in Leia that the training was making. She was slowly but surely becoming more balanced, and thus her wards were becoming more powerful every day.

Then she mentioned staying behind, and Leo nodded in agreement. With a great smile he lifted his hand from where they crossed over his chest and gently set it on her shoulder.

"Of course Leia. Until the day I last draw breath, I will have your back."

The second question caught him a bit more at a disadvantage, and he sighed before glancing up towards the sky.

"Unfortunately, I have not. She said she was going to look for her Kin. To see if there were any that had not been taken by Carabosse yet. She is on a noble mission, and I wish for her safe return every day."

Otto

Otto's excitement was nearly getting the better of him as he looked from Luness to Kallin then back again. It wasn't until Luness' one good ear dropped and she began to rub the back of her neck that Otto began to sense the uneasiness radiating off his sister. There was sadness, he could tell, and his tail began to slow from its excitement even more when she looked to Kallin. Otto followed her gaze, and when Kallin finally got the words out, Otto's excitement faded away completely. His ears dropped low, and his tail hung limp behind him. He looked at Kallin's gaseous face, waiting for the yellow orbs to squint in a joking manner and Luness to slug him in the shoulder. For them all to laugh at the joke and head towards Ward and the others towards the next adventure.

But nothing changed, and Otto felt like he was a million miles away from the two of them. His eyes dropped and he took a step back from them.

"Oh.....yea....I gotcha. I mean, it makes sense. You guys have important stuff to do here."

Leo & Otto

Before Otto could say anything else, the blast of another horn rang out over the camp. The air seemed to freeze until the second horn was blown and all hell broke loose. Before he could say anything else, Kallin whirled Otto around on the spot and ordered for him to go. Otto looked back one last time, his eyes fixed on Luness for a moment as he heard Ward call for him, and then he shifted into the small black wolf form and bounded towards the tent after Ward and the others.

Leo's posture stiffened at the sound of the horns, and his eye and ears instantly perked up for the sound of approaching soldiers. When the camp burst into chaos, Leo watched as Ward began to round up the ones going with him, and PRincess Briar began to rally her troops. He too needed to get back to the other side of the camp and begin mustering the machines of war.

He looked down to Leia and Takeo with a newfound seriousness.

"We need to get moving! Leia, I could greatly use your assistance if Kallin has plenty of magicians at the moment."

He didn't wait to hear her reply, if Kallin needed her stationed somewhere then she fell under his order. He could manage his forces well enough, it would just take a bit more time.

He turned on his heel and darted back down the pathway he had taken to reach the war tent until the sea of green was once more within view. To his amazement, Tik Tok was waddling down the pathway in a hurried fashion carrying Leo's ax's. The ax's, much bigger than the little bronze man, were in his curled up arms nearly falling from them. Tik Tok lurched forward sending the Ax's into the air for Leo to catch as he approached him.

"Have the Winkies made it in yet?"

"No sir, they are still about an hour away from arrival!"

Leo grunted as he fastened the ax's to his sides.

"Then we will have to get as many balloons up as possible. Have the current Skeevers get the first three burners going and the Winkies in their places on the airships. I am not sure what we are up against but they are coming through the swamps, so the aerial advantage would be appreciated."

As Leo strode into the middle of the Oz encampment, he watched as green armored soldiers rushed this way and that attempting to get into formation, but doing nothing more than bumbling around.

Leo stamped his foot and with a deep breath sent an ear splitting roar over the bustling that made everyone stop in their tracks. He drew in his breath and puffed out his chest a bit before continuing in the silence.

"Ozites! You know you're formation! Let's get a move on before Carabosse comes crashing down on top of us!"

Ty looked around as the camp started to become dense with people, creatures, and tents. The yelling of sparring and orders being given out filled the air while the soft chuckles of friends resonated. Ty felt out of place here in the area. He saw no other large golems near and the feeling he got from seeing people fight was rather terrible. Why would people hit each other like that? They let out yelps of pain and grunts... It reminded him of a terrible noise he heard as he was waking up. A painful yelling that he could feel in his chest as he watched people fight. He didn't like that feeling so he turned away from the violent sights. His eyes swirled with various colors as he looked away. When he saw Ariellia jumping around excitedly his eyes turned back to green. It was a nice change of mood from what was all around. Ty remembers what friend mean! Ty would enjoy being friend! Ariellia will be Ty's fourth friend! Right after Chirp, Tweet, and Peep. Ty left them with parents though so Ariellia will be new friend! Ty will enjoy following Ariellia around just like Ty did getting to camp. Ty would like to see horses instead of fights though... Fights are something Ty doesn't like to see. It makes Ty's chest hurt... He said as his eyes went a light shade of blue as he put a stony hand up to his chest.

Ty looked upon the crowd that was forming when different people started to speak. They seemed to want people to quest with for some artifact and as they spoke, Ariellia started to get hyper again.
Ty is pretty sure Ariellia is not dreaming. Otherwise Ty wouldn't be here right now! Ty would find it strange not being Ty. Hold on! He took two fingers and pinched his own arm. Nope, Ty still awake. Ty remember that if someone pinches themselves, they wake up if sleeping. Ty didn't go anywhere so Ty isn't sleeping. He turned to hear a little more about the request. Some small child was speaking with a rather powerful voice like she had power among some in the camp. Ty found it funny in the sense she was small but had a big voice. It made him think about if he had a small voice himself before Ariellia caught his attention again. Since Ty is Ariellia's friend and Ty likes following Ariellia, Ty will go where ever Ariellia goes. Quest does sound fun though! Ty here Quests let people go see new places that people haven't explored before! Ty not sure what the artifact is though. Ty just woke up today so Ty doesn't really know what is going on. If Ariellia will have Ty along, Ty would be happy! Also Ty does find small girl charming. Ty find her voice powerful!

He watched the sad display of her companion leaving her for the battle. Ty wasn't sure what to say or do in this situation. The fawn still gave Ty the shivers. He might be simple minded but Ty still understood when someone wasn't very trusting of him. Still, he didn't interfere. It was obvious that Ariella needed to say her goodbyes. As he watched the fawns go off, he heard the sqeal of Ariella. He looked down a little confused as there was a small golem before him jumping around. He cocked his head in confusion before His eyes wen't a bright yellow. He..Hehehe...HEHEHEH! He giggled as he clapped his hands together seeing the small one jump around before Ariella picked him up. Soon a man came over with even more tiny Tys! Ty is suprised to see more Tys! Ty thought Ty was only one here! He said giddily to Ian while he waved at the small golems. Before formalities could be finished, the horns rang and people ran off to battle. Ty was confused for a moment before he saw Ariella walking off to the tent. He followed suit while his eyes changed purple. The yelling and screaming of battle didn't sit well with him. The tent looked small and cramped with so many inside already so he popped his head inside. Oh! There is where Ariella went. Ty almost lost you. Hello others. He said waving his hand through the flap.

Ian looked confused, this Ariella really asked a lot of questions."They're golems." He replied curtly. " My name's Ian and this is Ryna, Rocko, Ozzy and Nut." He introduced them, before running after the golems who in turn pranced around Ty, who went inside the tent. Ian wasn't planning on going on the quest, but once a golem makes up its mind, you can never stop it. He trailed behind his golems, feeling what it felt like to be his golems.

He entered the tent, feeling out of place, just like Ty."I guess, I'm coming on the quest too." He appeared from behind Ty, sighing. Meanwhile, the golems ran around the tent, introducing themselves to the different people in the tent." Hi, I'm Ryna! Rocko here! The name's Ozzy. I'm Nut" After, they introduced themselves, they would leave before that person had a chance to reply back. They were causing a mess in the tent, Ian felt angered, he dug his hand in the earth and had a clay hand grab each of the golems, leaving them stunned. He dragged them back, giving them a enraged look. The golems understood the message and slumped back to their master, standing by him. Now that the problem was solved, he walked towards Ty, holding out his hand,"I'm Ian, if you need any help, you can ask me or my golems." He smiled up at the gentle rock giant. Guess this day was going well, he guessed.

Ember kept a mental count of everyone who wished to join Ward on his quest while her gaze was settled on the Prince, watching his facial expression and body posture. During her training, she had learnt to observe people's behaviour to draw a conclusion on their current mental and physical state. While watching, she caught the look he sent her way and returned it with a discreet nodd before turning her attention to the people.

As she observed the crowd and scrutinized every new soul cautiously, Ember spied from the corner of her eye how the priestess looked at her. She was watching Ember strangely and this set the firebird on edge slightly as she pondered what could possibly make Arianne wear such an expresson. As curious as she was, she was not to ask... And little did she know, her thoughts were to be interrupted very soon.

At the sound of the horn, Ember's instincts and training were already kicking in, pumping small quantities of adrenaline into her blood. The pounding of her heart in her ears almost blocked out Arianne's encouraging words. Her hands itched to draw her blade and, deep down in her bosom, she felt the stirring of a fire bird wanting to burn...fight. But now was not the time to fight. She was there to protect Prince Ward and also for the people who would be coming with them on the quest.

Through the ruckus and the turmoil, Ember saw Her Highness Princess Briar rise above the sea of people onto her horse. Was she leaving? Invisible strings seemed to tighten around the firebird's chest as she realized that she might not see Princess Briar again. Though she highly doubted that the Princess would be at risk of death, considering the Guardians protecting her, the worry was still there. Pushing down her concern, focusing on making her way towards the Prince who was holding the tent flap open for others. He was her main focus, after all, he was her ward.

Weaving around the giant golem who had attempted to push himself into the tiny tent, she reached His Majesty within seconds. Most of the party had already entered the tent, but she would not enter till Ward had. After all, she had to keept an eye on him and ensure his safety.

"Prince Ward, you can go in now," she said urgently with eyes scanning the crowd of people scurrying around them, "I will make sure the last of the questgoers get in safely."

Takeo listened to the others and smirked a bit as he nodded. "Got it, no general will be added to your name. That's one less formality to worry about so you won't hear complaints from me." He then looked at Lela as he placed his hands behind his head a grin now on his face. "Great, I'm getting the hang of it though still prefer to fight on foot if given the option." He hummed as he watched her now fawn over the tiny rock creature which soon left their presence. Shrugging he looked over at the horizon as he listened to the call made by ward for those who would join his quest. The idea to go with passed Takeo's mind, but he pushed it away. As much fun as it would be to go on a quest with the famed prince he had to stay here. After all he had his own squad of highly trained scouts to lead and he couldn't just up and leave them. Sure being on the battlefield and on the front lines wasn't a fun thought. But he had his commitments and would have to stick with them.

"I'll be staying I guess... I think I'll be a lot more helpful on the battlefield. And with luck I might be able to learn how to use my power so I can get better armor to help out or weapons..." He said as he let out a small yawn, one that was cut very short when the horns entered his ears. Looking in the direction of the sound he didn't move as he listened to it get closer. "Damn it, they are getting close." he muttered as his hands fell to his side.

When Leo looked down at them but only spoke to Lela, Takeo bolted off right to the stables. Not wanting to be left behind or to leave the scouts under his command without orders he didn't waste any time as he ran. Passing right by other busy shoulders he entered the stables and in a flash put reins onto his gorgeous steed. However he didn't bother to put on the saddle. Hopping on it bare back he lightly kicked the horse in the sides and using the reins he left the stables.

Riding out at a fast pace he looked around and soon he saw a small group not to far from him. Leading his horse there he met with several men and woman some on horses other on foot and only a few were humans. "We need to go on the sides and give support you know the drill." He said as his horse let out a snort of uneasiness about the upcoming battle. "I want you guys to keep a look out for any of the forces that might be trying to do something sneaky. If you see anything wrong report it to a higher up or me so we can react quickly. I don't want anyone to sneak by our defenses. You are trained in spotting the enemy so lets show them that we are not to be trifled with." He said as his horse let out a whine.

Holding out his hand the area around it glowed and soon a speak of a light blue came in his possession. A few sparks flew off of it but hurt no one, and the weapon glowed a bit as he grinned. "Move out!" With that the men and woman let out a battle cry before they each headed to their positions. Once they headed off Takeo did the same nudging the horse on its side it sped off to where he directed it and in moments he was right next to Leo. When he was he slowed his mount to a light trot. "Ready for some front lines fighting if these sorry fools get that close?" He asked with a light laugh though really he was very nervous, yes he has been in combat before but that didn't make any battle less terrifying.

What luck! A perfect excuse to leave the camp without making anyone mad at all! Was the first thought that went the offer to join the quest was given out. He was so thrilled that he didn't even notice his question earlier had been completely ignored. Holding his pearl tight he stood in his spot and looked down at the ground as doubt now started to flood his mind. Certainly he was happy he could go on his search but he worried if he would get in the way. Or if he actually would be useless to the group. Maybe they didn't want him or worse....

Letting his doubt and fear weigh him down Kibito made no moves as he stood there quietly. It wasn't still the horns sounded through the air did he gulp down his worry and quickly make his way to the tent. Slipping in rather quickly he moved to the corner of the room to stay out of the way for anyone else that may enter or needed to be in that spot. "I-I'm s-s-sorry but if it's o-okay I w-want to go on the quest..." He said in a meek tone as he held his orb close to his chest now resting his lips on it as he watched the others closely hoping they wouldn't shoo him away.

It had been nearly half a year since Ashley parted ways with her friends in order to focus on being a mother. She had chosen to walk away from the life of an Adventurer and Guardian to live in solitude, but now she must step forward once again. After suiting up, she looked into the cradle that Leo had given her the day she gave birth to Lillian, which she had always treasured. However, with Fablewood on the brink of war, Ashley must take up her bow and help defend what she calls home. Seems like much has happened since her departure. Sighing, she looked at her dagger before sheathing it. After putting on her hat, she looked over at Lillian, who laid sleeping in the little cradle. Sadly, she was getting a little too big for it. Lillian was growing up so fast, but hopefully she will understand that mommy has to go fight for them. In this fight, Lillian would be Ashley's primary motivation to take up arms. Holding her daughter close, Ashley got on her horse and rode for Branbern Castle, where Lillian would be safe until this war either came to an end or blows over.

It pained the young mother to leave her little girl so soon. On the verge of tears, Ashley kissed the infant's forehead before taking off her Wedding Ring Necklace to leave for Lillian in the event that Ashley did not return home. However, that was not going to happen. Ashley would return home to raise her daughter. It was already hard enough that she was going to have to grow up without a Father. But without both parents...Ashley didn't want to think about it. "Goodbye, my sweet little angel. I'll come back for you when the fighting is done." Lillian continued to sleep as Ashley placed her into a cradle, leaving the Necklace hanging by it before leaving to reunite with her friends in the War Camp. Jumping onto her horse, she hastily rode to the War Camp.

As she made it to the camp, Ashley saw Soldiers taking up arms and preparing for battle, leaving her concerned. While making her way through the camp, she spotted a big red tent, which was much more distinct compared to the others. Finally, she made her way there and ran inside. There, she saw several familiar faces, Ward included. Then a few new faces, ones that she hadn't recognized. They had changed so much while she was away. But she was happy to finally see them once more. To fight alongside them once again, was the best feeling in the world, aside from her daughter's love. "Ward!" she cried out before running over to him and uncharacteristically gave him a hug before looking around at the rest of the party, realizing that a few people were absent. "Where's...Where's Elena?" She asked. If there was anything she remembered, it was Ward's close friendship with Elena.

Leandra grinned at Ward, more than excited to join yet another quest, especially since she was more than curious to see who or what she may meet along the way.

Plus, it also meant she could tease Ward that much more along the way. It seemed to have become Leandra's new habit, treating Ward like her...brother. Twin brother, to be exact. Leandra's grin soon faded, as she turned away from Ward briefly and found herself worrying for Manjano once more. When Leandra had first appeared in FableWood, it had been right after her convoy had been ambushed in Afghanistan. Her twin brother had been in the convoy as back-up in case things were to go awry like they did. Leandra knew that meant he had scrambled out of his truck and made a beeline with his partner to the nearest optimal sniping position, but Leandra had seen how things were going right before an explosion had launched her through a window and into FableWood. Things had gone south very fast.

Nearby, Luness found herself staring at the ground with a heavy feeling in her heart, as Otto began to notice the lack of excitement on her end.

Hearing Kallin explain things to Otto, Luness swallowed before glancing back up to meet the saddened werewolf's face. As much as she hated this plan, Luness just wanted her half brother to be safe. He wouldn't understand it now, but Luness couldn't bear the thought of him going to war with her only for him to be cut down within minutes of everything starting. He still hadn't mastered control over his feral form. It just wasn't safe for him.

With her ear folded against her head, Luness said softly, "Otto...I'm sorry. I-I just want you to be safe. I-"

Suddenly, the horn rang out in the distance and the announcement was made that Caraboss' forces were rapidly approaching.

Luness' expression quickly became a terse and serious one, as Kallin ushered Otto towards the tent.

Looking to Otto one last time, Luness' expression briefly became a pained one until everyone began madly scrambling around her and Luness realized she needed to get to her pack and organize them for battle.

When Kallin called Ward over, Luness paused and waited to hear what he'd ask of the prince and flickered her ear a bit when she heard Kallin ask Ward to protect Otto for them. With a worried expression, Luness tried to give Ward a confident nod when he responded in confidence that he'd keep Otto safe. It wouldn't stop her worrying anytime soon, though.

With a heavy sigh, as Ward disappeared to convene with the questing team, Luness looked sideways at Kallin and shouted, "I've got to join my pack now!" With a pause, Luness added, "Don't do anything stupid!"

In the brief moment before she ran off, Luness suddenly closed the gap between herself and Kallin, as she gave him a tight hug before she stood back and nodded at him. Luness knew with Kallin's curse that she wouldn't have been able to kiss him right now anyways, so a hug was the most she could do. Though, considering the public area they were currently in, it was all the more possible that Luness would've still hugged him if it had been nighttime.

Then she was off, on all fours and sprinting between everyone rushing to get ready for battle. In a flash, Luness was no longer at Kallin's side.

As the horn rang out and approaching forces were announced, Leandra found herself returning from her past in a heartbeat, as her heart began racing at the thought of what was to come next. Luckily, her experience in human wars had taught her how to keep a level-head in tense situations like this so Leandra kept a calm resolve, as she entered the tent after a few others went before her.

Once inside the tent, Leandra moved to the side so others could join them, as she glanced about the tent to take in her old and new teammates.

Arianne, the priestess was with her once more. The new girl who introduced herself moments ago as Ariella. She also had some large golem accompanying her, which made Leandra wonder if the girl could make more complex golems than the other guy, Ian. Then again, with what Leandra had seen in FableWood thus far, the golem accompanying the girl could very well be a construct of his own will. Leandra grinned at Ty when he introduced himself and gave him a short wave. He sounded really kindhearted from the little Leandra had heard him say already. Ian's little golems seemed to be behaving, as they scattered about in the tent, only adding to the chaos, before Ian dragged them back to him and got them under control. Ryna, Rocko, Ozzy, and Nut. Quite the odd set of names, Leandra pondered. Looking at a young, nervous boy when he stammered that he'd tag along, Leandra wondered who he was, as she didn't recall hearing him introduce himself. That could always be resolved later, though.

Not a moment after Leandra observed all of this, some woman suddenly burst into the tent and wrapped Ward up in a hug before asking about Elena. Reminiscing on how she'd had such a heartfelt conversation with Elena before the girl had disappeared, Leandra felt a sadness wash over her, as she looked at Ward with a pitying expression. She knew what it was like to lose someone so close to you, even though it had been a twin bother for her and not a significant other. Whoever this new woman was, she seemed to know Ward well, but knew nothing of Elena's disappearance. Bringing up such a thing right now was not the brightest idea, either. This was going to put off Ward right when they needed him focused.

Unsure of how to nicely change the subject, Leandra instead took a step towards Ward before saying calmly, "This quest, Ward. Where are we going? What do we know so far?"

Leandra could only hope that her questions about the quest would keep Ward focused and that they could avoid the Elena topic altogether for now. That was certainly a question for another time and place.

With that in mind, Leandra gave the woman a glare, as she sincerely hoped she'd get the hint and drop the subject for now.

Quincy pinched the bridge of her nose and held back a sigh. This was not going well.

"Stop making that face, water girl." The sharp voice hardly phased her.

"I wouldnt be making a face, if you would take the instruction instead of being offended by it." She murmured evenly, watching as the Djinn clumsily handled a training bow.

"Maybe if you werent so patronizing.." Catalina muttered angrily, her brow furrowing as she struggled to send an arrow at the target. The kelpie had been trying to teach her how to shoot since sunrise, and even Quincy's patience was annoying her at this point.

Quincy opened her mouth to give another piece of advice, but fell silent as a horn sounded. It was time.

The two women jogged side by side back to camp, their irritation forgotten now that they had a new task. Quincy's armor clanked, and the disks of tin jingled at Catalina's ankles. She would love to wear silver jewlery, with all its beauty, but she wasnt about to kill herself for a good look.

It was a long way back to the tent from where they had been practicing, and just as they were reaching their companions, another alarm sounded. A battle was unpon them.

Quincy grimaced, looking between the familiar faces gathered there.

"Well I guess Im just in time to see you all off," The kelpie said softly. She already had her bow in hand as she made eye contact with those she knew were leaving. "Good luck, and be careful." She couldnt waste any more time; she needed to get her newer recruits ready to fight. The kelpie gave a final nod to the questing heroes, and turned on her heel and jogged away, calling names as she went. Her heart twinged as she left them; she wanted to go with them (what if their travels took them to the mountains again) but she was needed here.

Catalina stopped a few steps before Quincy did, listening to the last few strains of conversation. Shr gave Quincy a glance and a nod as she left, and then made sure her weapons were secured on her body.

"Well. I wouldnt want to miss an adventure with such enchanting people as you lot." She said, with a smirk and a bat of her eyelashes. Her eyes lingered a little on Ward, whom she had heard addressed as Prince, but her stomach twinge with nervousness. Was she ready for a quest like this?

Kallin's heart twisted as he heard the disappointment in Otto's voice. "Hey, buddy, you know I'd take you with me in a heartbeat if I could...but its not safe. War is a terrible thing...you shouldn't have to see it. Now go." He stood back and made his way to Luness' side once Otto was with the others in the tent.

She hugged him and he returned the gesture strongly. Then she was loping away. He heard her call out to him as she ran and he laughed. "But I'm so good at it!" Then he added in a voice just over a whisper: "Please be safe..."

With Luness gone, the humour in his eyes faded too, he made his way to the enchanter's field and sent up a blue spark that burst over his head. A call to the wizards and witches who would fight under him.

Leia made a face as Leo told her that Nyr was still absent. When the horns blew she switched to full alert, her spirits straightened too.

She could feel a rush of exhilaration, laced with just a hint of fear. This was it.

Leia had been offered a position commanding forces, she didn't take it. It was enough for her just to direct her spirits. No, she would be much happier fighting alongside someone she knew. Quickly she followed Leo to the forces of Oz.

Each set of forces gathered in organized lines on the field. Briar headed the lot, galloping from one end of the line to the other on her brilliant, white stallion.

Kallin stood heading his enchanters, Leia took up a place by Leo, in the distance she could see Takeo leading his own set of forces. She wanted to catch his attention, but he seemed much too focused. Then he rode over to them and she shot him an uneasy grin. "S-sure." She said, wondering how in the world he could be so calm.

In the distance Leia could see the mist that rose off the bog. That was where their lead force had been defeated? But how had they been? There were so many uknowns and it sent shivers down Leia's spine.

Suddenly two horsemen galloped out of the fog. Briar held up a hand, indicating they were allies. They spoke to her for just a moment, before falling back behind the troop lines. Briar seemed to cast a small spell then, a voice amplifier and with it her address reached every ear on the field.

"Soldiers! A wave of enemies has made it past the marsh. They are on solid ground and they advance! We will meet these foes and send them back!"

Leia could see that not half the forces they had were gathered, this was just an initial skirmish, a strength test, but Briar would take no chances with lives. They would out-number the foes greatly.

A shrill screech pierced through the thick silence and Leia froze. Black shapes began to appear out of the mist, soldiers clad in obsidian armour and in the sky, wyverns, their dark scales glinting in the sun. The wyverns had shredded Briar's initial sky forces, they had obviously been well-hidden from her scouts.

"On my signal!"

She waited. Everything seemed to slow to a snail's pace. Leia could see the advance of the creatures, a butterfly flapped lazily in the flowers at her feet. She could hear her heart pounding and the clink of each armor plate seemed to echo in her ears. Each sound seemed muffled and distant.

"Leo..." She reached out and brushed her hand against his big paw. "I'm scared."

The sound of the war horn forced everything back to speed and Leia's mind cleared. She saw the first of the forces move forward and caught sight of Briar's golden armour as she led the charge.

Ward ushered the new faces inside.

"Ariella, I wish I could say this was a pleasure, I hope we can become more acquainted then circumstances are not as dire."

He looked up at Ty and help the tent flap a little wider. "Welcome."

Suddenly ward caught sight of Kibito moving toward the tent. He recognized the young dragon and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder as he went inside.

"Fear not lad, you'll be safe with us."

At that moment Ember came to stand by him, asking him to go inside. He gave her a defiant smile. "Forgive me, but I'm afraid I am not accustomed to being protected, I will be a bit difficult." He remained where he was until the last of the party was in the tent.

Just as he was about to enter himself a familiar face appeared and wrapped him in a warm hug.

"Ashley!" He said, so surprised to see her and so grateful for a person that reminded him of good things he returned the hug happily.

"I trust Lillian is in a safe place?"

When she had asked about Elena Ward couldn't hide the pained look in his eyes. He turned away. "Elena...we don't know where she is. The spell that was used to bring real world humans to FableWood, it is weakening somehow. Yet one more problem to add to a growing list. For now, Leia, Leandra and Takeo are the only ones left who were with us before. But, we have some new faces too," Here he nodded to Ian, "and hopefully we can find more."

He surveyed the varied group now present within the tent walls. "We have quite a bit of diversity. This is good."

Leandra spoke up then, asking about the quest and Brenna stepped forward with a scroll in her arms. She laid it overtop of the war map.

"I can answer that for you my dear. if you will all come and pay attention here..."

Suak was not fazed by the heat of the day: nor would she ever be. It was a relief to her that it was more like a summer's day than any other season's; she wouldn't have to worry about staying warm. This day was different than most others, however, in many more peculiar and strange ways than one. A creature, of a species she had never seen before, had come to her forest imploring the creatures there to fight alongside him and his army, she believed he had said. While she hadn't approached her directly, the basilisk, curious as ever, had followed the creature for a good while, watching him converse with several of the forest's creatures, including a group of pixies that had threatened him quite comically, trying to persuade them that the world faced a real threat. Had she been in her human form, she would have smiled to herself, for if the creature had come here 40 years ago she would have happily added him to her collection. Alas, times change, and so too did the situation of most of the creatures, as almost all of those the man-lion spoke to refused to fight. Suak had to admit that she was tempted to do that also. But she had seen the darkness approaching her lands months ago; she wasn't going to sit idly by.

Silently, Suak had followed the abnormal creature, albeit at a distance, back to, what she had assumed was, a military encampment. Unsure of what initial reactions would be to a basilisk wandering through the camp, Suak slithered round the outside of the encampment, trying to estimate the overall strength of the forces she would supposedly be fighting next to: she was impressed by the number, there was no doubt in her mind that it was, but chaos could not be fought chaotically. Suak doubted many of these creatures knew how to fight in a proper battle. In their defence, it was unlikely that any of them had predicted they would have to fight for their world, but excuses meant nothing in life or death situations.

A horn sounded, followed by another, closer. The basilisk stopped moving for a moment, her eyes studying for some kind of attack. Battle horns started blowing from the camp and suddenly the world felt like it was nothing but noise. Suak cursed beneath her breath; what was it with humans and their instruments?

With the soldiers now seemingly in an array of chaos, scrambling for weapons or listening out for orders, Suak aimed to find the creature that had come to her home in search of recruits, and offer her assistance for the coming skirmish. She'd never participated in a human-run war before, only observed them as they turned themselves into minced meat. She wasn't sure whether to be excited or nervous.

The basilisk wasn't truly stealthy, she'd never been, and as she moved to find this creature, she drew the attention of some of the soldiers. None of them tried to stop her as she made her way to the battlefront. The creature she had been looking for wasn't too difficult to find: a large half-human half-lion seemed to stick out of the normal crowd. Believing formalities were probably not the best thing to be speaking of, Suak raised the front part of her body, bowing her head as she spoke to the creature who was only a few metres away, her irises a deep yellow, slowly changing to green, "Don't turn to facsssse me if you value your exisssstence. Ssssimply sssay and I sssshall join the fray with your best interesssstsss in mind."

Leo watched as Munchkins, Mountaineers, and Quadlings all lined up as they had been instructed. Smallest to tallest with the taller soldiers armed with bows to fire over the shorter ones. The shorter soldiers had their orders to go for legs and feet, take the enemy to the ground and finish them off with numbers. It was a solid strategy, given that their enemy was of many shapes and sizes. Leo only hoped that they were as disorganized as he imagined.

Behind the soldiers, large green objects had begun to inflate. Folded like paper, the crinkling of the objects where attached with thick heavy wire to three golden boats nestled into large structures to keep them upright. There was a large crossbow like object fastened to the front of each boat, where a SKeezer dashed back and forth applying plenty of oil so as not to break the strings during firing. Behind them was the steering wheel that sat before a large golden furnace looking object, with a pipe running into the balloon itself. Small men, dressed in gold dashed madly about the boat tossing coal and timber into the furnace, with each piece causing the balloon to grow ever so slightly.

It would take time before the boats were airborne, and until then Leo would march on with the foot soldiers and take the battlefield. But Leo had other means of dealing with the aerial assaults until the ships where ready. The sound of flapping wings suddenly became very audible over once the soldiers had found their places and waited to march. Leo looked up, shielding his eyes from the sun, to reveal a large group of flying monkeys had descended from the trees behind the camp and where now anxiously awaiting their orders to move out. Leo smiled a them, their excitement obvious on their faces as a larger, more intimidating monkey dropped from the horde beside Leo. Leo nodded and the ape nodded back.

"Quelala, you and your group are to take care of anything in the skies until the boats arrive. Can you do this for me?"

The great ape nodded with a grunt, his massive wings heaving him back into the air to relay the information to his troops.

As he turned to begin marching his troops to the front lines, Takeo appeared on horseback looking serious, but with the slight touch of his nerves on end. Leo reached to his hips and took his axe's, placing the butts of both axe's together, he gave them a twist and they locked into one.

"I suspect by the end of the day, we will have seen a great deal of the front lines my friend."

It did not take long for Leo and his emerald armor to reach the front line with the rest of the army. He gazed out into the haze of the swamps, watching for movement before the call for charge. He looked down to Leia who had been following him from camp and a wave of sympathy for the girl gripped him. He sighed and took her hand in his paw and gave it a squeeze. He felt his mind slip to a time when he too had been scared of what lay before him, and the words of a grumpy old wizard came to him.

"There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty. Takeo and I are right beside you Leia, but I have a feeling you will not need us as much as you think."

Leo gave Leia a smile and then released her hand to ready his axe.

As he did, a sound came from behind and he placed his hand on his axe, and the other on Leia's shoulder. The creature sounded large, and it only took a quick blink for his eye to change to a brilliant green and he could see what was behind him through the plant life surrounding them. The large serpent like body formidable to be sure, and for a moment Leo was terrified that a follower of Carabosse had infiltrated them. Still, it did not sound as if the creature was here to harm him, or the army. But instead was here to join arms with them. He hesitated, not knowing whether or not to accept such a request, but with a blink he lowered his vision and lowered his hand from Leia's shoulder.

"Very well. So long as you mean your harm towards the enemies before us, you are welcome to fight by our side. Please do try not to freeze any of the soldiers."

The air was quite, the calm before the storm some would call it. Leo watched as Princess Briar lead the charge in the silence, and he took one last breath. Leo lifted his axe high above his head, and the rustle of metal armor lifting and positioning itself was audible once more. He took in the sight of the wyverns, a challenge to be sure for the monkeys, but Leo was not worried about that.

He saw Briar lurch forward, her troops following behind her, and Leo's axe dropped. The suddenly plunk of arrows being released came from behind, and a shower of arrows arched their way down towards the beasts crawling through the swamp.

Sure that the arrows would be stopped by the thickest of armors, Leo readied his ax, causing his troops behind him to drop their bows and ready swords, axes, hammers, and pole arms. He to lurched forward, with his army of green following right behind him.

Luness shook her head in amusement briefly, as she had heard Kallin shout after her.

The amusement was gone moments later, though, as Luness skidded to a halt just outside of the werebeast encampment. Slowly, the werelynx stood up on her hind legs and then with a tense expression, she lurched her head skyward and let out her caterwaul. Luness' caterwaul was a unique 'roar' for lynxes, which could be heard up to five miles away depending on how strongly she cried out with it. It even had the potential to temporarily deafen those closest to her; hence why she had let out the call just beyond the border to the werebeast encampment. Deafened soldiers probably wouldn't be too helpful in a battle.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then, a thunderous roar could be heard, as the werebeasts all gathered in a dust storm before Luness, who was quickly joined by her Lieutenant, Falarion.

Right ear perked forward and shoulders high and proud, Luness then shouted, "The first wave has begun! Those of you who are fit for battle, follow my lead. The rest, stay here and either help build up the defenses or help heal if you can do so. Everyone has a part here, find it!"

With that said, Luness turned on her heels and was back on all fours, as she led half of her werebeast army to the left of the entire war camp while Falarion led the others to the right side. The idea with the werebeasts and their general mobility was that Luness and Falarion could simultaneously flank their enemies and most of the werebeasts wouldn't be seen in advance.

Once they'd reached their positions, Luness slowed to a halt amongst some foliage before crouching and holding up a fist so those behind her would halt with her. On the other side of the field and amongst cover, Falarion repeated the same action and soon all of the werebeasts quieted down, as Luness flickered her one good ear towards Briar and the front lines, listening for the sign to charge.

Luness flinched when Briar's voice was amplified, though, as she hadn't expected any announcements.

Listening, Luness nodded, as she noted this would make the targets an even easier target for her team. Once they were out in the open, the werebeasts would swarm them from both sides.

Hearing a screech pierce the silence, Luness froze in place, as did all of the other werebeasts, as her eyes gravitated to the sky and widened at the sight of wyverns approaching from above.

Luness held her tongue for now, though, as she knew that she had to wait for the signal from Briar. They worked as a team here, not as individuals.

As they waited, the enemy forces approached with echoing sounds of clanging metal while the wyverns above sent shadows dancing onto the grass and dirt below, sending chills up Luness' spine, as she remembered her encounter with the dragon in that arena...the behemoth of a body crashing to the floor, her certain death that never came.

Suddenly, the war horn pierced through her thoughts, quickly bringing Luness back to reality, as the call was made for the charge to begin.

With a curt caterwaul that carried across the field to the opposite werebeast forces, Luness signaled for the aerial support, which included some werebeasts that could shift into various bird forms. With a multitude of varying screeches in return, falcons, hawks, and eagles of different species all took to the sky from the treeline, headed straight for the wyverns above.

While the aerial support began its charge, Luness and Falarion simultaneously emerged from the foliage on either side of the field and both a caterwaul and howl could be heard from either side, as the two forces of mixed animals, all shapes and sizes, rushed forward in one giant charge. The field was quickly filled with sounds of panting and both paws and hooves striking the dirt, kicking up dust all around, while Luness' eyes quickly began to glow red and a snarl left her mouth, as she neared the first of the enemy line.

Seconds later, Luness was airborne and soon the sounds of fighting filled the air, as Luness crashed to the ground and clashed with her first enemy, a blur of black and white fur against the dark metal of the enemy's armor and weapons.

Takeo stayed on his horse as he looked at Leo before looking forward. The wind blew his light brown hair out of his eyes as he took a calming breath. He couldn't let himself get frightened as that would scare the horse and the last thing he needed was for the steed to run off mid battle and throw him off. Even after the attempt to calm himself, his heart was pounding against his chest and it took a lot to not grab his chest to try and calm his heart rate. Rather than show his nervousness he gave the two a light grin. "He's right Lela. We'll be right by your side, just give me a shot and I will save your life again." He said with a small chuckle as he kept a tight grip on his spear.

His horse let out a snort and backed up a bit at the bog came close and the others prepared. "Whoa easy." He said as he petted the creatures soft mane. "Its going to be fine... This isn't our first dance, and not even close to our last." He muttered as he took a deep breath trying to ignore the fact his breakfast was trying to come up from the fear that was building up in him. Taking one more look at the two he gave them a nod. "I'll talk to you later, got a battle to win." He said taking a breath before he closed his eyes and looked in front of him. His face now had a look of determination as he kept his horse steady.

The sound of the enemy approaching was painful, even though he didn't have enhanced hearing he could still hear them approach. Just before they got in sight he arrows soared over head landing in the direction of the enemy taking who knows how many down with each shot. Sadly it wasn't enough to take all of them down, of course it wouldn't be. His grip tight on the reins he saw Leo raise his axe out of the corner of his eyes and moments later the arrows no longer soared. The sounds of others getting their swords or close combat weapons filled the air for a brief second. And then it was time for the charge.

Raising his own spear in the air the lighting sparked from it for a moment giving his scouts the single to act just as he did. And with that he galloped forward with the others. The sound of the feet thundering across the battlefield was near deafening, however Takeo had zero time to worry about his hearing as he neared the enemy. Being one of the first to clash with the enemy Takeo slammed his spear into the nearest shoulder but due to the thick armor it merely pushed the man back which was enough as Takeo's steed reared up. However rather than throw Takeo off and bolt, it brought it's hoofs down right onto the man one landing on it's elbow letting out a sickening crunch the other on the face doing the same.

As this happened he pulled the reins so the horse would move as he used his spear to protect himself from a blade that was trying to get his leg. Having done so without getting a scratch he turned his spear in one hand so the tip pointed forward. In a flash there was a bright light and lightning shot from the spear hitting the closest enemy to him shocking him greatly. After several spasms there was a hissing sound and the smell of something being cooked, and with that the man fell to the ground. As he lowered his spear a bit that was when he got attacked. A mace from one of the others missed the horse's head, and slammed right into Takeo's gut knocking him off his horse as he didn't have a proper saddle.

Landing on his back he let out a groan of pain as he coughed harshly from the lack of air due to the hit knocking the wind out of him. The solider brought the mace up to crush Takeo's skull however before it could Takeo's horse let out a whine. And did a hard kicked with it's hind legs hitting the solider in the shoulder knocking him down from the blow rather than kill. After the stallion did this it ran right by Takeo letting out whines and nays of fear as it raced back to the camp.

Takeo let out a light laugh and pushed himself up using his spear to help and immediately had to side step to avoid a slash from the sword. Taking his spear and moving into a more defensive position. Glancing at his stomach he let out a sigh of relief to see there was no blood. The leather armor he had was thick enough to protect him from the piercing spikes on the mace... Or the mace itself was dull. Either way the worst he cracked a rib but at least it wasn't too serious. Sadly he didn't have any time to complain about his pain as doing that would get him killed. His eyes now on two soliders that were honed on him he got ready to fight as he waited for his spear to recharge.

Suak's expression darkened: accidents always happened on the battlefield. While she was tempted to give the creature a reassurance that it wouldn't happen, Suak knew better than to make a promise that she ultimately could not keep. Lowering her body to the ground, the basilisk darted off into the emerald grasses to the left of the advancing army. While initially intimidated by the tremours exhoing through the ground, Suak's momebtum changed very little, however, and as she watched the troops march on wards only a hundred metres away, she coiled and prepared to launch herself into the army's flank.

Werebeasts had moved within the area, the basilisk knew they had similar plans to her; the decisive blow against the army's advancing towards the encampment would come at the collapse of its flanks. They prowled nearby, none of them noticing her, focussed too much on preparing for the task at hand. A warhorn sounded what seemed like only moments later and suddenly the werebeasts and the humanoids appeared to be in motion, charging forwards to meet their enemies. Suak might have grinned if she were human, quickly joining in the charge into the army's flank.

Her eyes rested on her first chosen quarry who hadn't noticed her yet. Black armour, a sword and shield, but, strangely, he didn't wear a helmet and, to Suak's annoyance, they weren't looking in her direction. She would have to change that. Almost within the blink of an eye Suak had coiled around her prey, its arms crushed against its sides and its weapons rendered virtually useless. Without the opportunity to look away, the soldier found itself looking into the basilisk's eyes, and to Suak's amusement she watched as her prey rapidly became completely petrified, a look of pure horror on their face. Still wrapped around this new "statue", her eyes scanned around the battlefield, resting on two charging soldiers who foolishly met her gaze. Suak would have chuckled: she could get used to war if it was this easy.

(Quick post is little)

Quincy charged through the camp, calling the newest archers to her. She hadn't wanted to be a General, but she had eagerly requested to be the one to train new recruits suited to archery. Her first group was about to face their first real test. They took their positions next to her, and waited as if frozen in time.

And then, Princess Briar charged, and all members of her army leapt into action. Quincy let her first arrow fly, with dozens more on shooting through the air behind it. Their barrage would likely do very little damage, but even a few wounds or frightened hearts could win them the advantage.

The kelpie knocked another arrow, and shouted to the archers around her, "Make them bleed while while you can!" As the two armies grew closer, Quincy directed the archers to fire at the wyverns as soon as they were in range, but only if they could do so without raining arrows on their own soldiers. It was time to get into the fray.

Quincy returned to the field, becoming her true form. The tall white mare snorted and cantered to flank the enemy, intending to join Luness's werebeasts.

Leia smiled gratefully up at Leo, taking a deep breath to try and calm her nerves. Takeo's teasing comment made her grin. "Or I could save yours." She offered. The basilisk that had appeared just then was formidable, and Leia had to admit she was more than a little intimidated, especially since they had faced one in the Whispering Isles, or rather, the sorceress in the form of one.

"I'm glad Ward's not here." She said as she watched the beast advance.

The troops were starting into the battle now and Leia summoned Bob, he bounded forward and grew, wrapping himself in the earth of the battlefield so he became big enough for Leia to climb onto his stony shoulders. She drew her cavalry sword and watched as the hail of arrows descended onto the battlefield.

At first the distance made it difficult to catch what was happening, most arrows glanced off the tough hides of the wyverns or bounced off thick shields, but every now and then one would catch a wing, or a chink in the armour, or a gap in the shields and one of the enemies would sink earthward.

@zCrookedz @Peaceswore @Baconhands

Briar was leading a full charge now and Leia caught a glimpse of a startling white horse with no rider.

"Quincy!" She yelled happily and urged Bob forward. The earth spirit bounded over the terrain, his strides eating up the ground at a startling pace. The first few soldiers that had survived the arrows were startled when Leia came down upon them. Tad rushed past them, knocking many off their feet with a gust of wind while Lea swept up dew from the grass and used it to freeze others solid. Spark did the most damage, lighting cotton and wool tunics on fire as he bounded after Leia.

@Flutterby

In the distance she could see the werebeasts fighting and knew Luness would be leading them. Suddenly a burst of light erupted over their heads, a magical flare, and not long after that a wave of ice spells, streaking over their heads like torpedoes came down upon the enemy soldiers at the front. Whole sections of the combat line were disrupted as Kallin's direction had created choke points using walls made of frozen enemy soldiers. This way the ally forces could better control the flow of battle.

"Walls of frozen human soldiers...devious Kal. I like it." She muttered.

"Make it count!" Leia heard his amplified voice rise over the chaos, addressing all of them. She waved her sword at him to let him know she understood.

@battlefieldcrew

She turned and in a moment saw Takeo go down. His horse fleeing in a panic. Quickly she turned her spirirt and forded a path toward him. Bob trampling any poor enemy unlucky enough to get in front of him. He skidded to a halt, ramming his head into the helmet of one of the soldiers about to attack Takeo, Leia ran the other through.

"Need a lift?" She asked in a cheeky tone.

Just then a roar tore her attention skyward and without warning Bob threw her to the ground. The talons of a wyvern just missed her head, but crunched through Bob's earthen body. He squealed as he was lifted off the ground, dirt and rocks falling away until he was his normal dog-like size.

"BOB!" Leia screamed. She could almost feel his agony as he was carried further away from his element. Leia staggered, clutching her head. She had never been able to feel their pain before, but now it clouded her mind.

Around them wyverns began snatching soldiers from their mounts or off the ground and taking them up, only to drop them to their deaths before swooping to catch others.

"We...we need to get him down!" Leia shouted, trying not to let Bob's panic govern her own emotion.

The skies were rumbling in an ominous noise in the distance from the sound of battle. The situation was not dire for either sides just yet though it was apparent that the defenders of FableWood were not just holding the line: they were outright decimating the enemy forces. The foe, however, did not falter as they were pushing onward relentlessly with renewed purpose. Some of them actually enjoyed being thrown into the fray despite being completely vulnerable to the enemy fire... it was a heated battle on the land.

The sky was more peaceful for now, wyverns soaring everywhere and some wayward spells and arrows piercing the clouds occasionally. The clouds in the distant west, however, seemed to be... crackling with some strange magic. Those who could hear for into the distance could notice massive flap of wings approaching... gigantic shadows soared through the sky with speed unmatched as their goal seemed to be but a simple one: joining the fray as soon as possible. The enemy wyverns seemed to be having a rather successful time ravaging the helpless soldiers from the grounds, their small, frail bodies not being able to fend off the massive talons of the avian creatures.

The one carrying Bob seemed to be specially proud of its actions as it lifted the little spirit higher and higher. Its face opened up to roar triumphantly... when an ear-shattering screech echoed in the distance, forcing the creature to turn towards the noise. Immediately after the distraction a massive jolt of negative energy blasted the monster, severely injuring it, disorienting it momentarily. Though it was wounded its claws did not let the little spirit go and it just screeched angrily... until a gigantic shadow appeared in front of it.

Nyr rammed into the foul beast with incredible velocity, her massive raven form tackling the airborne creature with ease. Now that she had the upper hand from disorienting her foe it was but a matter of moments before her massive claws tore at the flesh of her enemy, making it plummet towards the ground helplessly. The gigantic raven noticed Bob between its talons and dashed towards the earth spirit, transforming back to her humanoid form to be able to get closer more easily. Prying the now little spirit from the claws of her fallen foe Nyr hugged him close to her armored body, smiling at the earth spirit warmly.

" Long time no see, Bob. " she said " Leia would have my head if I let you to be just carried off by some ruffian wyvern. "

Immediately after four more massive ravens emerged from the clouds. Though the forms were smaller than Nyr's their size was still respectable, comparable to the wyverns. One of the creature lowered his altitude and headed towards Nyr.

" Are you well, Prelate? " the telepathic message boomed in her head.

" I am fine. " Nyr spoke out loud " Lead everyone above the field of battle, focus on the wyverns but do not overextend. I will join you shortly. "

The raven nodded, heading above once more. Nyr, clutching Bob in her hands began to descend towards where the little spirit was looking, spotting Leia.

" Sorry I was late from the party. " she smiled, heading to the earth, her armored body touching the ground gently. " I believe Bob would prefer to be on solid ground now, don't you think? " noticing Takeo being with her as well she smiled " Long time no see, Takeo. I see you are holding up well. Ready to give these folks a good beating? "
