The Band RP

Noel looked at the boy. What an irritating and boring question. Yet she was able to supply an answer. Noel took in a breath,"yes.... It's quiet easy even a child is capable"she said a bit tired. It was late and it was beginning to get hot and her back and shoulder was tired. She pulled the guitar off her back and rested it on her penny board. The beat up cruiser was old but worked and was well put together.

Well. What a huffy little bi- no. Shouldn't be thinking that way that early. "I don't mean can you do it as in can you put together three notes or identify a scale. I mean are you good at it? Can you write the music for a song that people will actually want to listen to? Sorry if I don't have such a stick up my ars* that I didn't think I had to spell that out for you." Oh. Whoops. There's the sharp and bitter tone, again. He should really try and work on that...

"No duh moron..."Noel said flatly. She stepped on the board allowing her hands freedom. She stretched out her shoulders then looked back at him and opened a her pouch on her bass guitar case. She opened a notebook with some made songs on it,"here something I wrote for my old school band as proof of my capability"she said then handed the book to him. Wait what did she have to prove? Maybe it was something that helped her pride just a bit.

"You might wanna show this to the girl that started," Drake pointed out, but he took the notebook anyway, reading over the notes and lightly humming the melody to himself to test it out. He paused for a moment, then, a thoughtful look coming across his features.

"Not bad," he admitted, after a moment. "Not quite as rock and roll as my tastes run but it's got potential. You don't suck, kid."

Noel couldn't help but smile. She took her note book and put it away feeling her pride build. She then looked around,"shouldn't we take this somewhere else I mean I'm sure this is enough people for a band"Noel mumbled under her breath. Trying not to be rude as she twirled her bass guitar on her penny.

"Not up to me - I think maybe she's waiting to see the whole turn out and then we'll have auditions or something?" Drake guessed with a shrug. It was beyond him, really, and he wasn't too interested in speaking up and asking about it. He'd figure it out in time, let them get around to the subject themselves - he was sure it would come up. He didn't sign up to organise this thing, after all.

Bella then gets an idea. "Okay... I want everyone to line up and when I point to you say your: Name, instrument, and years of experience." She says it in a kind tone, hoping that she didn't sound so forceful or pushy.

Connor grinned and said, "Sure," getting into a line with the others. Hopefully we won't have too many people, it looks like a lot of people were interested in this. I wonder what she plays... He looked at Bella. "But then you have to introduce yourself to us too. Or did I already miss the introduction?"

Noel willingly lined up. Oh how she loved the organization of lines. Although she was very possessive of she bass guitar she wasn't afraid to share the spot. She stood pushing her bass on her board then placed it on her back. She kicked up her penny to her hand and held it by her side.

Jason started walked off and went into a dark alley. He slowly sat at down and drowned out the rest of the world with music. Jason smiled as the guitar solo came on, the recording that he gave the girl was one of his best.

Bella giggles and nods. "I can introduce myself again." She then stands in front of the line and smiles. "My name is Isabella, most call me Bell, Bella, and Bunny. I'm a singer and I play guitar. I've been playing guitar since I was six years old." She smiles. "Who's next?"

Noel raised her hand then smiled. She bowed stepping forward,"my name is Noel Vermont I play Bass guitar and sing... I've been playing since I was 7"she said. Noel wrapped her hand on her board.

(...why are you telling me this?)

Drake rolled his eyes. Really? A line? What were they, six? Still, he got up, sighing slightly and stood lazily in place. "Drake Daniels. I go by Drake, I guess. I've had a few years vocal training - I'm a tenor - and I'm a lyricist, so if you guys don't have a songwriter, I'm all yours in terms of the words half." he offered up with a lazy half-shrug.

Connor told them, "Like I said, my name's Connor Roemer and I play electric violin. I played acoustic violin since... a long while ago, and picked up the electric about three, four years ago." He thought for a moment, then addressed Bell, "I noticed people were playing for you, auditioning, I guess; want me to play something?"

Mari looked back at Blake and nodded. "I'm Mari... I sing, and write music, and..." She trailed off mumbling. After Blake poked her, she spoke up again. "Okay, okay, I sing, write, and rap." She looked around, waiting for someone to laugh.

Blake stood next in line, "Blake Bonham, drums n percussion. Been playn' since I was old enough to pound things with sticks, but as far as formal training goes about 9 years now I guess."

San Yeol didn't stand up the moment they were 'asked' to introduce. Instead she waited so that everyone could go before her. When it seemed to her that everyone had, she rose to her feet and neared the girl. "Like I said, I'm San Yeol. I've been playing the piano from a young age soon to be accompanied by strings, particulair the violin. I am capable in both since I have been playing them for at least ten years. Six years ago I decided to play the Nyckelharpa and the Hurdy Gurdy." she laughed softly "Both are extraordinary instruments, one of a kind. So you could say I can play keys and strings" she eventually closed her line and smiled at Bella "I can play you some music from my phone, or get them here in half an hour" she added quickly, she wouldnt be put behind anyone.

(So. Late. The. Tardiness. BUUURRRNNNNSS.)

The girl had just entered the premisis, noting that already there were a distinct amount of people lined up. She had stood off to the corner, watching them with a peering calculation while they all spoke, sharing their sentence worth of a story-line. Why on Earth was she here with these stuck-up bozos? Hell, she had a job to do, and would be even further damned if she didn't do it. So even if it meant having to put up with these absurd greetings, she could deal with it. Silently, she had come up beside the female known as San Yeol. The Nyckelharpa and the Hurdy Gurdy......even Sparkplug had to say those were interesting choices of instrument. With her swift presence came a more accurate look towards the other "contestants". Her dark eyes tracked each male and female, putting to their faces what they had previously said. Sparkplug then turned her intelligent gaze to the girl who called herself Bella, looking up and down that little note-pad. She then flipped her short, edgy brown hair from over her eyes (of course, being that the bangs natural position never faltered, it immediately fell over her the left side of her face once more). "I've never been good with these, eh, "introductions, but you guys are just going to have to deal with that." Her tone, though smart, held a tint of affirmation and strength. Sparkplug narrowed her eyes, crushing the sign-up flyer that had been in her hand. She then tossed the paper ball to a near bin behind her. "The name's Sparkplug. Not Sparky, not SP, not any other sh!t that could possibly be a play off the word." The slender female folded her pale arms. "Don't expect much of a story outta me: Ever. Your expectations will only end in disappointment, because I'm not the type of girl to tell squat to anybody. So what I say now is what needs to be known, and that's it." She gruffly cleared her throat, annoyance obviously in her eyes.

"I've played both electric keyboard and grand piano since I was 2. I also am exceedingly skilled with the violin and its electric counter-part, learning that in the same time-frame as I did with the keys. To top that, I play electric guitar, and like our comrade Drake, I am a singer and a song writer. Not to sound too conceited, but truth be told I'm pretty damn good at what I do best, and though sometimes what I do best isn't very nice, when it comes to the musical aspect of my personal hurricane....I promise, you'll be blown away. As long as nobody has a stick so far up their ass that it keeps them on the ground, that is."

Sparkplug tapped her back, signifying the fact that both a keyboard and a violin case had been strapped there. "Whenever you feel like it, shoot me a pointer and I'll play whatever beautiful "crap" I've got to play." Throughout the entire life of her words, the girl had not once smiled. Other then the occasional knitting of her brows, she had kept a pretty unique demeanor. It was only now that she allowed the tiniest of smirks to flash on her face, but it disappeared as soon as it had arrived.

Bella smiled and wrote more things into her note-pad. She then handed everyone a note with an address on it. The address was a local instrument shop/music studio that her family owned. "Meet me there in half an hour, I'm sure I have all the instruments we need." She smiles.

Noel nodded and stood of her penny looking at the paper,"ah by the way thanks for giving Auchincloss a great opportunity so out in the open!"she said with a kind smile. Noel love to perform so to be given such a divine experience for a life time memory would be exciting.

Mari rolled her eyes. The last thing she needed was more drama in her life, and here seemed to e the most screwed up, random group of people she had ever laid eyes on. Whatever else they were, though, she couldn't deny that te individuals were talented. She thought back to the various examples of their work, and wondered if anyone's style could flow together. Then, she wondered if there was really a place for her here.

"Maybe I should just go," she whispered to Blake, now regretting her moment of personal courage. "You guys don't seem to need me..." She looked around, wondering if the others had heard.

San Yeol took the paper from Bella giving her a genuine smile "I'll take my own instruments just in case" she added, looking at Mari she tilted her head. Approaching her she patted the girls shoulder "you have a voice, a sound of your own, we need you." She said before leaving the group waving her hand as she started a jog towards the roadside. Taking her car she checked herself, how she looked and the group of random people she left behind. There were quit some characters there. A short laugh, and she drove to her family house.
