Fantasy The Author's Horrors

Leah looked at Alan and smiled softly, " I could check the cruiser out, yeah. ". Her arms unfolded and she looked at her watch; it had stopped. A memory of her asking Lucas to buy some batteries for it before they hit the road slipped pass and it hurt. She reached up and let her hair down, pulling it into a sturdier bun while deep in thought.

Alan was about to say something when the generator sputtered and the power went off due to the gas being used. "son of a bitch, it's out of gas." Alan pulled a flare out and ignited it "you two stayy here and protect your selves, I'm gonna go syphon some gas from the vehicles down the street, take those pistols and watch yourselves. Shine them with bright lights if they come by and shoot them until they don't get up" Alan took a gas can and left.

Dom smiled and nodded softly, grabbing a torch, fastening and securing if on his right shoulder. "I wonder what effect light actually has on these guys... They need a name... Hey mechanic girl" as he said that, a smile shone on his face, he loves machines "how does 'DeadHeads' sound?"

Alan reached a car and punctured the gas can and filled the can quarter way before moving onto 3 more cars and continuing the same process for 10 minutes.

Leah frowned as the power went out. The secure feeling she'd gained after walking in here earlier had sputtered out with the power and left her in the dark. "I have a name. " she replied to Dom, standing up and grabbing a pistol. " I'd rather not give them a name. I don't think it'll do any good. As long as they're out there and I'm nowhere near them, I don't even want to think of them. ".

Alan got all the gas he needed but when he got out from under the car he saw about 15 figures walking his way, he ran back and dodged their attacks but was cut when he ran into a pole. He ran back into the house and poured the gas into the generator but it wouln't start. All of a sudden, loud banging resonated all around the cabin. "you two keep them from getting on here while I try to get this thing running again. "

"Waaaah, got any better weapons, I really ain't do too well with my Iada" me made a quick comment then smiled "but let's get to killing!"

"there's guns in the locker over there. take any of them, just keep them from getting inside." Alan continued to fix the generator.

Leah's eyes widened a little as thuds shook the walls of their shelter. She loaded the gun and looked around for a light. She reached into the pockets of her jacket as she took it off, searching the inside as well. Her truck keys! A small light was on a "I love NYC" key chain she'd gotten from a co-worker who came back from a trip long ago. Standing next to a window, she clicked the tiny button to turn the tiny light on. It was just enough to knock one of those things on it's ass, and she shot it's head through an open window.

Alan threw leah his light when he saw she was using a tiny flash light. "there's some flashbangs in the middle drawer if you want to use it, be careful though. It will blind you if you throw it to close or stare at it." Alan fixed the problem and began pulling the cord to start up the generator.

Dom casually strolled outside, Malice wasn't here and he was thinking straight for once, taking out legs and tearing muscles to immobilise them, then ramming the torch he had strapped to his chest into there skulls, flicking it on, he kept on repeating this action with ease "honestly these things aren't really a threat are they?"

"wait until we head out to the forest later, I saw a few of them make tornados that ripped everything out of their way. You won't think their easy then." Alan got the genrator working and the dark figures collapsed to the ground from the light and they were shot soon after.

Just as Alan tossed Leah the flash light, her key chain gave out. It turned off just as she caugh t the flash light. " Thanks!". With the switch of a button, light spewed out through the window from the light held in her hand. As they'd flop to the ground, Leah'd quickly shoot, watching the bullets slip through their skin and into their brains, which leaked out the holes she'd left like oatmeal. As the generator flicked back on she had leaned against the wall and sighed.

"Tornadoes?... Holy shit... That's a real challenge... Hehe, can't wait for some more fun!!!" Dom, the energetic little bastard was laughing to himself as he took a thin, black Trenchcoat from one of the bodies, heading back inside and putting it on.

Alan boarded up all the windows that broke and laid down on his bed. " If you want something to eat or drink, there is some food in kitchen. There is two beds in a room off of here. The sun will be coming up in 3 hours and that will give us atleast 6 hour of safety." Alan set up an alarm clock and fell asleep minutes later.

Dom started nibbling on his wrist, sitting in the darkest corner of the room he could find and taking up a meditative position.

It wasn't until Alan had mentioned a bed that Leah realized how tired she was. Quietly heading towards the bed, she flopped on her back, yawning. The feeling of the sheets soft material against her skin was so comforting that it didn't take long at all for the woman to slip into a deep sleep.

Dom's teenage instincts kicked in almost instantly, jolting up for a second before sitting down "no no no no no, I'm not doing anything weird, I'm just gonna sit here and meditate... Yeah... That's what I'm gonna do..." He finished off his sentence uneasily. Looking back to the floor and pressing his palms together.
