The Aura of Faith

Lynx looked up to her, holding his head trying to make the world stop spinning. "A spirit? Okay. Gods is far enough on one day... Spirits and ghosts is pushing it a bit... I'm still not certain about the whole God part either..." Lynx said, looking at her confused.

Athena sighed. "Think about it. She never leaves that spot, ever. She never goes home, because that is here home. She isn't real." She said.

"She isn't..." Lynx took a few seconds, and then it struck him like lightening. It was at least a reasonable deduction this time. "You're right! Though... how do I tell that to her? I mean... Why can I see her if she isn't real? I've seen people passing her day by day... I suppose that makes some sense..." Lynx said and looked even more confused at Athena, rubbing the back of his head.

Athena sighed. "I am guessing you believe my story a bit more now." She said. "It looks like she was a car accident victim." She said.

"That's sad..." Lynx said and turned around. "Her parents must have been devastated," Lynx added looking back to see that Alice was gone. "How do we... make her rest?" Lynx asked, as Athena was suppose to know 'everything' in some sort of way.

"I don't think she knows... she's... you know," Lynx said a bit awkward as it was getting closer to nightfall. "Let's think about that tomorrow. Let's get home," Lynx said with a smile as they finally arrived back home. He unlocked the door, letting them get inside as he placed the bags of clothes down. "I'll take the couch, you can take the bed," Lynx said with a smile, as he let out a small yawn.

Athena sighed and nodded, heading towards his room. "Thank you. Good night." Athena said, shutting the door. She sighed, looking around his messy room. She walked over to the bed, curious about it's properties. She sat down, feeling the material squish under her weight. Smiling, she crawled up and under the covers, smiling. She took a deep breath, his smell invading her nose. She gagged for a second, the smell overwhelming. She sighed, dealing with it as she fell asleep.

Lynx grabbed a blanket and a pillow, as he put it down on the bed and sighed. "A dead girl? Why can I see dead people? Ah... this is crazy," Lynx thought as he laid down on the couch, yawning again. "It's dumb, it's unbelievable, but here I am," Lynx said and closed his eyes, letting his thoughts wander off to dreamland.

Athena woke up the next morning, sighing. She had actually slept though the night. The first thing that hit her was his scent. It was like an inescapable wall. She gagged, getting up and hurrying out of the room as fast as possible. She shut the door behind her, breathing in the scent of a clean room and sighing.

Lynx was still sleeping, almost snoring a bit on the bed as he turned around. Tossing his blanket off himself, but he was still soundly asleep.

Athena sighed, grabbing the blanket and tossing it back over him before picking a book out of thin air and starting to read.

It took a few minutes, but after a while he woke up. "Athena...?" He asked, as he rubbed his eyes and smiled to her. "Good morning..." He said, followed by a yawn.

"Hey..." Lynx said and sat up before he slowly walked up on his feet, and made his way to the kitchen. "What you want for breakfast?" He asked, as he scratched the back of his head, still mostly half-awake.

"No not, do you want. What do you want," He asked again and let out a small sigh as he walked over to the fridge and grabbed some vegetables and some rice, turning on the rice cooker as he did best with rice.

Lynx let yet another yawn out. "I get it... you don't know yet," Lynx said feeling a bit stupid about the question. "It's going to be cooked rice, miso soup and some salmon then," Lynx said as he continued making the food. "You should read up on Earth food, if I ever work overtime you might need to make your own food," Lynx said and smiled to her waking himself a bit more up.

Athena sighed and threw her book into the air, watching it disappear as she exchanged it for a cooking book. 'If you say so." She said.

Lynx finished and set the table for the two of them. Smiling as he was a bit proud that it looked good. "Breakfast's ready," he called her, sitting down himself.

Lynx began eating, and then looked over to Athena. "Anything you wish to do? Human activities that is," Lynx asked as she was suppose to know something, even about human activities as he was still thinking about Alice, the poor girl that had been stuck by that road, and only he was able to see her. No wonder she wanted him to stop by each day, she had no one else to talk to,

Athena shrugged. "What is there to do on this planet?" She asked, taking some more of the food, which was surprisingly good.
