The Aura of Faith

(Sorry! Notifications... I swear -.-)

Lynx had finished his own food and looked over at her. "I think that makes perfect sense," He said honestly smiling to her, before he caught himself. "I- In a good way! Knowing everything c- can affect the heart," He said nervously, as he began cleaning up after their meal.

(I know -.-")

Athena sighed. "Well now I am stuck here, and I don't really know customs here, so I might need help."

(I might kill them one day -.-'')

"You don't know how to get back? Well I suppose since you have no clue how you got here in the first place..." Lynx said as he walked back to the kitchen and began washing the dishes. "I suppose I can help you, if you don't hit me again," Lynx said, looking up at Athena while washing the dishes.

"I wasn't insulting! I just said it was highly unlikely!" Lynx said followed by a sigh as he finished the dishes. "First up, you don't go around calling yourself a God. Even if you are one. You're Athena. Nothing more," Lynx said to her and then looked to her clothes. She couldn't wear that, it attracted attention. "We also need to buy you new clothes. Something that fits more our time era, or place should I say," Lynx said hoping it wasn't offending her in anyway.

Athena nodded. "I agree, my clothes do not fit in. And I guess I can try. Most humans ignore me if I say I am a god anyway. Call me a crazy hippy. What's a hippy?" She asked.

I don't wonder why you would be ignored... Lynx thought with a small nervous smile, as he looked back to her. "Okay good, and a hippy... Well let's not think about that now," He said as he grabbed his jacket. "Let's get you some new clothes," Lynx said as he headed towards the door.

They walked out to the street, entering the mall as Lynx made sure Athena was behind him at all times, just so she did not get lost, as they walked into the clothing store. "Look around, see if there's anything you like," Lynx said with a smile on his face, he had never bought clothes for a girl before, and he was definitely not starting now. It was better for Athena to find something she liked anyway.

Athena walked around, feeling the fabrics. She finally found some things she liked, taking them.

Lynx watched her grabbing the clothes she wanted, and smiled, seeing the price as it was relevantly cheap to he smiled. "Okay. That's good," Lynx praised her. "This way it'll be easier to blend in. Since I got work, and you need to do something while I am away," Lynx said and smiled as he walked over to pay for the clothes.

"Reading, cleaning, chores... talking a walk, there's a lot. Maybe finding out a way how to get back," Lynx said as he grabbed the bag, like a real gentleman. "Would you mind if we took a detour home? I haven't visited her today," Lynx asked Athena, as they headed out of the mall.

"Yeah. I don't know who it is, but there's this one girl that always hangs around a certain corner of the road. It's a small detour, but the road will take us home. I always bring her a flower you see," Lynx said and smiled to Athena, thinking to himself she almost sounded jealous for a small second.

Lynx walked as he came to the road and the girl stood there, smiling to him as he smiled back. It was clearly a spirit, though Lynx didn't really realize that. "Hey. Sorry I'm late," Lynx said as he had brought a small bottle with a flower in it. "How are you?" Lynx asked as the girl hugged him. "Better now that you are here!" She said happily, smiling to him.

"Yeah?" Lynx asked as he petted the girl's white hair. "You sure you shouldn't go back home?" Lynx asked the girl as she shook her head. "I can't. I'm stuck here," The girl answered as Lynx sighed. I don't get her game, but I'll play along. At the very least she is grateful for me bringing her flowers everyday. Lynx thought as he brought his attention back to Athena.

"Okay..." Lynx said as the girl let him go. "Oh. Alice, this is Athena. She's my... friend I suppose," Lynx said a bit unsure what she was at the moment, except a freeloader at his house. "Its nice to meet you Athena!" Alice said, a bright smile on her pale face as she walked up to Athena and hugged her too.

Athena was surprised by the gesture but hugged back none the less. When she was released, she smiled. "Well Lynx, we might want to go before it gets to dark to see." She said.

"Ah yes! Sorry. Hey Alice, I'll talk to you tomorrow," Lynx said and smiled to her as she waved and smiled back, as he turned his back on her and began walking. "She's nice isn't she? I wonder if her parents knows," Lynx said to Athena, still smiling as Alice was a good child. He simply didn't know she was dead.

Athena sighed. "You are so clueless!" She said, shaking him. "She isn't even alive dumbo!" she said.

"Cl- Hey!" Lynx said as she was shaking him back and forth. "Wh- What do you mean?" Lynx asked, breaking himself out of the shake, feeling as if the entire world was spinning.
