Character Name: Waverly

Appearance: (make sure to list out what shirt/hat/shows they wear along with their looks. Lists of gear are available on Inkipedia, be sure to use the Splatoon-2 list) Waverly is an Octoling, most noticeably. He’s got longish shoulder length slightly similar to the hair usually seen on female Octolings, though it’s slightly shorter. He has red eyes and pale skin, and is noticeably slightly shorter than he probably should be for his age. He wears Retro Specs, Pink Easy Stripe Shirt, and Moto Boots.

Personality: (Who are you and why are you) Waverly can come across as a bit stubborn and reckless at times- he has a seeming inability to sit still and a tendency to be way too eager about Inklings and Inkopolis- he loves his new home, even if he only came here recently! He’s a sweetheart, really, all he really wants is to make some friends, find a place for himself, and start a new life. Of course, he’d jump at the chance of adventure- he’d do anything to keep his new home safe!

Weapon(s) of Choice: (what's your main weapon? Do you have a back-up?) He’s skilled with the Splat Roller, though he doesn’t have any other weapon (or enough money for any other weapon, for that matter.)

Backstory/history: (This category is optional, but highly encouraged that you use it to flesh out your character's goals in the RP) One may think from the above Waverly isn’t skilled- this isn’t true. He’s simply very new to Inkopolis. Unsurprisingly he’s lived most of his life down in the Octarian society and doesn’t really like talking about it- he remembers it being dark since he was very young, and as he grew older everything just started to fall apart at the seams. That’s about as much as he really talks about. It’s not that he has some tragic past- it’s just he hates even thinking about it.

Other Info: sorry rycamp. also yeah he’s kind of a normal but i designed him so he’ll probably end up jumping at the chance of adventure with everyone else- i just wanted to try and rp a fish out of water scenario (or an octopus I guess)

Character Name: Aiden Kelply

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: Aiden is a 5'6" green tentacled, pale skinned Inkling, with the cold, brown eyes of a speared fish. This is just how his eyes look however, so he wears Stealth Goggles to hide it. They still show in squid form however. He's quite skinny, and also wears an FA-01 Jacket and Black Dakroniks. He wears his tentacles in a spiky, smoothed back style. His face is a slightly chubby and makes people generally just want to grab it in their hands and squish it.

Personality: Aiden can be sarcastic, but he often tries to genuinely help people. Contradictory to his helpfulness, he is more likely to persevere in the face of hardship than ask for help. He gets lonely easily, and is quite shy, but also clever. He's self-conscious about his eyes, considering they constantly look like he's dead inside. He loves delicious food, and will do anything for it. Aiden is quite innocent for his age. In turf wars, however, a whole new side comes out. Aggressive and competitive, he'll ink turf until he spots an enemy to go after. At which point he will usually chase them down.

Backstory/history: Born and raised in Inkopolis, Aiden had friends growing up, but for the past 2 years he hasn't. He's currently living on his own, using money he earns from turf wars to pay rent. He lives kind of a boring life. Get up, eat, shower, turf wars, eat more, sleep, repeat. He's desperate for a change.

Other Info: Somewhat trained in hand to hand combat, though he doesn't use it in Turf Wars, since that's against the rules.

Backstory

Mint has no memories about his biological parents whatsoever. When he was still a baby octopi he was found by an Inkling family who adopted him and raised him as a child of their own.

He has always felt shy around other Inklings and would often hide the fact he was from a different species. He was grown with the inkling culture but had always known he was different.

Ever since a young age he would run to Octo Valley to practice with the Ocotobrush of his brother. This allowed him to acquire quite the skills for turf war and it didn't take long before he has earned enough cash to grab his own gear.​

Extra

His adoptive brother, Buck, is also a pro on the Ocotobrush and is a Profreshional at Grizzco. He taught Mint how to swing brushes and how to deal with salmonids.

The tip of Mint's tentacles changes color according to the ink he is using. However, in turf wars, by the rules all of his tentacles need to match the ink color of his team.​

Character Name: Cira Lochana
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance: Cira is a octoling with light brown skin, and bright orange eyes. Her hear is a longer version of the octo ponytail with blue-blackish rings that dot along her tentacles that stays constant in color no matter what her ink color is. She wears a black polo, punk blacks and a soccer headband while she is inkopolis, switching out to the neo octoling armor when she's in Octo Valley and other mainly octoling populated areas. She always wears a black skirt and shorts with all of her outfits. Normally keeps two small pieces of seaweed in her hair.

Personality: Cira is a Octarian Loyalist at heart. She practically idolizes DJ Octavio, elite octolings and octoling engineers, despite being a fairly well respected and known octoling herself in Octarian army. Cira tends to be a bit aggressive at times often when she's mad going absolutely commando, fighting wise or insult wise. She's very cheery and bubbly when she does end up interacting with others, though that's not particularly often as she's a little introverted and less open to conversing with non-octorians. Cira has a bit of a bias against inklings, generally liking them less and much colder to them than any other race in inkopolis.
Weapon(s) of Choice: She generally uses a bloblobber, but will normally use Kensa Glooga Dualies when she's playing seriously, or when she's there to splat, not to play.

Backstory/history: Cira grew up in octarian society and there was never a day she regrets that. She was a incredibly devoted octoling, practicing her fight skills and engineering until she was finally old enough to enlist in the octarian army. With Cira's prowess she quickly ended up a elite octoling warrior, just in time to help steal the zap fish. And then after that everything fell apart. She had been so happy that they had stolen it, it was a strike against the inklings that had banished them underground and a source of energy to improve octarian society. But instead of amazing things it led to bad ones. A battle against an agent that she survived, while many she knew didn't. A ruler defeated and trapped and soon their society left to fall apart. It was a disaster, which thankfully was resolved by an escape only for her hope to be dashed again. After that Cira tried to organize her fellow octarians, and really never managed much. So she decided to try infiltrating inkopolis. To try to figure out a way to strike back or something. All she really managed to do was join the waves of octolings finding their way in inkopolis. Cira still keeps her heart firmly planted with octarians and her mind set on getting back at inklings, but whether she will actually do that is yet to be seen.
Other Info: Cira is fairly good at making weapons which is why she has a weapon she really shouldn't have at her level. Cira is really bad at turf war.

Character Name: Jason Miles
Age: 16
Gender: Boy
Appearance: An Inkling, his base tentacle color is Lime green. With pale skin and seaweed colored eyes. His usual wardrobe is a Matcha Down jacket (run speed up), Amber sea-slug hi-tops (drop roller) and a special forces beret (opening gambit). Most of his clothing is old and isn't really usable in turf war, though he will occasionally wear them anyway. The rest of the time he wears his Agent uniform, though he's careful not to be seen by anyone while having it on.

Personality: Serious and Stoic, Jason holds himself to a very high standard. His position as Agent 3 in the New splatoon squidbeak platoon is very important to him, more important than most anything else. Because he puts his agent work before anything, he treats most normal, everyday activities as a waste of time. He doesn't look down on others for doing them, but rather he believes doing them himself is too selfish, working to keep Inkopolis safe is more important than him playing games and hanging out with friends. Similarly, under his normal, serious face is someone who enjoys the excitement of challenge, who will poke fun, laugh, and enjoy all the things a normal inkling of his age might. However he pushes himself not to act on these 'impulses' as he calls them. They didn't have any place in his agent work.

Weapon(s) of Choice: As Agent 3, he is generally skilled in every type of weapon, but prefers the basic gunner format, followed by the slosher or the inkbrush. As Jason, he uses the N-Zap 89. His other weapons are old models that aren't usable in turf war any more.

Backstory/history: Jason was a typical inkling before following captain cuttlefish into octo valley. After defeating Octavio, he and the captain went away for 2 years. Leaving inkopolis behind, they travelled, working to take down groups of rouge octarians who were attempting to follow Octavio's initiative. During this 2 year period the two of them were almost completely disconnected from the going-ons in inkopolis, though for a while they did keep in touch with Agents 1 and 2 (the squid sisters). Their work eventually culminated in an investigation into strange disappearances among the octolings. Before they got anywhere in the investigation however, they were ambushed while fighting a group of octavio supporters. Agent 3 and The captain were separated, and while the captain met and wasa workign with agent 8, Agent 3 had to fight his way through the underground to avoid being sanitized. For a while he survived by using hit and run tactics, eventually resulting in stealing an employee's CQ-80, which allowed him to track down the captain's whereabouts. However, things went downhill for agent 3 after that. Upon arriving at where the captain was, he found that he and one of the octoling he'd been fighting were about to be blended in one of the machines he'd been avoiding for some time. In a desperate act he successfully saved them, but he ended up knocking himself in the process. When he woke up, he found he wasn't himself. Rather, he was under control of the AI mastermind. The exact feeling of being controlled by the AI is something he's kept a close secret, but thankfully he was defeated by Agent 8 before he could do real damage. It did mean he was knocked out during the final battle, a situation he'd never forgive himself for being in. After TarTar was defeated, The captain, along with Pearl and Marina, convinced Agent 3 and Agent 8 to stay in Inkopolis on account that the dangers to the city had been declining so rapidly that they didn't need to away continually working to protect it. Agent 3 agreed, though he was increasingly worried about the octoling population in the city. It wasn't that he didn't trust them, he knew full well that they were friends now, but he feared being discovered as Agent 3. He knew that between his zapfish raids two years ago, as well as his fighting during the past two years, he must have spaltted many of their friends and family. He feared a similar revelation in Agent 8, who'd lost their memory. If they remembered everything Agent 3 had done against their fellow soldiers, and against Agent 8 them-self, what would they think of them? For now, he had to learn to fit back into inkopolis once again, keeping his identity secret like his life depended on it.

Other Info: He has a habit of scratching at the right side of his head, where the mind control goop once was.

Character Name: Olivia hellest
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance: Olivia is an octoling. Her tentacles are slightly darker than normal, more of a maroon than a red. They're also slightly longer than usual, though she keeps them tied back in a ponytail whenever she's out and about. her eyes, which are dark brown, are often lit with with interest and energy, apparently ready to join in whatever activity is before her. If you watch for long enough though, you'll find them staring into the distance, as though looking at things only she can see. When out with friends in public she wears a blue satin jacket, a fishfry biscuit bandana, and cyan trainers. When she's on her own she'll often put on her old octarian armor set.

Personality: Olivia is a pretty selfless person. She follows along with the mood and supports others without asserting herself too much. She laughs easily and loves to talk with others, to get to know them. She has a natural curiosity and takes what comes to her openly. However, due to her past she occasionally feels as though she does not belong, even among her friends. She feels a great desire to fit in, no matter what, and has a habit of going along with things she's not always happy with rather than speak out against it.

Backstory/history: Unlike most octolings, Olivia never "woke up" to the calamari inkantation. Rather, she followed the others when she felt she couldn't bear to stay in octo valley any longer. 2 years previous, her mother and older sister were splatted by Agent 3. A year later her closest friend became one of many octolings that vanished without a trace, abducted to become sanitized by Tartar. Slowly the people she knew vanished around her, whether abducted or leaving for the surface. For some time she tried to work with a group of Octavio supporters, but was eventually pushed aside for her lack of decisiveness during fights. -she didn't know it but she got lucky and was pushed out just before the group was caught by the captain and agent 3- after which she decided simply to follow the others heading to the surface and inkopolis. She found she could fit in easily there, it was a much more relaxed environment than the one she grew up in. but she knew that she was missing that something the octolings that had awoken to the inkantation had found. It made her feel alienated, though she always tried to push these thoughts aside, knowing there wasn't anything she could do about it anyway. More worrying to her was the nagging knowledge that somewhere among all these inkling that had splatted her family. With the various rumors going around about the new Squidbeak platoon, she often imagined there was some shadowy figure in the crowds watching her, somehow knowing she wasn't like the others. These tricks of the light scared her, though she wouldn't let it show, even when she was alone. All that was important was fitting into her new life up here in inkopolis.

Other Info: Is a huge fan of off the hook. She tries not to nerd too much over it but she can.

Gender: Boy(wait, what?)
Appearance: Usually has a lime-green ink color. His height comes up to about 5' 4", making him shorter than most. His tentacles are tied up in the usual way with tiny, black scrunchies. Wears a... uhh... I gotta look some of this up.
Personality: A bit of a grumpy cat. Assumes he is a good sniper, but he's actually trash.

Backstory/history: A bratty, grumpy kid belonging to the esteemed Team Fireflies. Though they aren't doing anything particularly interesting at the moment, so Soren is on his own. The only hints he's indicated about his non-turf war life is that he's a bit poor, but still manages. His successes in matches usually come from his allies carrying him, but he doesn't mind. At least if his team wins, he wins, right? Oh, and he's tried to get better... I guess. Anyone up for a round of Salmon Run? Just don't give him a roller or charger.
Other Info: No matter what color ink he has, the tips of his tentacles will always be purple.

Appearance: Usually something like this

Personality: A bit of a stuck-up squid, Adina can be harsh and unforgiving to people she doesn't know well. She isn't the worst person in the world, but she isn't exactly a saint either. In matches, she is cruel and merciless against the other team, making calculated moves and designing convoluted ploys. Out of battle, however, she tries to do the "right" thing... most of the time.
Weapon(s) of Choice: Brush mainly, but she can use almost any weapon without major difficulty. Only exceptions are 'Brellas.
