The Adoption [LynxAmelia x Totally a hero] [Inactive]

"Jeez...quit being so emo kid." He laughed to himself and grabbed a book that had previously been lying on the coffee table. He sat up straight and crossed his legs. "Not everybody in the world is out to get you child. You just think that." He opened his book and flipped through a few pages until he found the right one.
 
That, pissed her off. Big time. "Do you know what emo is?" she asked, turning to face him fully, "Emo is moping and whining and slitting my wrists superficially about nothing at all just to get attention and posting pictures of myself on the internet and growing my hair in a weird way and wearing so much eye make up that my eyes turn red. No I am NOT emo! I am hurt. I have been hurt all my life. And you don't give a shit about that!" she ended up yelling again. At the end of her little rant, she was panting a little. The icepack lay on the floor while a bright red bruise sat on her forehead.
 
"Currently no,I don't care about your past" He folded the page he was on and then closed the book. "And if anybody's the "emo" it's me. Did you not look at the music I have?" He laughed softly as he bent down to pick up the ice pack. "But I do care about you now." He then pushed her down gently and placed the ice pack back on her head. "And not every emo cuts themselves." He laughed some more and picked his book back up.
 
"Blegh," Andria mumbled as she turned away from him again, pointedly pushing the icepack off her head, "I'm going to sleep now."
 
Andria put a hand on her bruised forehead. She was sure it was going to show the next day. It didn't take half an hour into her sleep before she fell again, thankfully without a bruise this time. She simply continued to sleep on the hardwood floor as if it was the most comfortable thing she'd ever slept on.
 
"Ugh...I hate sleeping on the couch..." He slowly rose up,rubbing his eyes with the blu sleeve. He then went on to yawn,catching a glimpse of a girl curled up on the floor. "Ohh yah..." He has forgot the events of yesterday,though it's hard to image his considering how extreme it had all been. He wondered why she had ended up on the floor. He would of asked had not she been sleeping. He wondered if he should carry back to the couch,not sure if it was okay for him to touch her. He shrugged and picked up the sleeping girl. "Your a whole lot cuter when your not being grumpy." He smiled as he placed her back on the couch.

Andria woke up about an hour later. She sat up, groaning a little before yawning widely and stretching. The horrible throbbing in her head reminded her of the bruise she'd gotten last night. She didn't dare touch it though. Instead she lumbered to the refrigerator there and pulled out the ice tray. She then proceeded to keep the bottom of the tray on her forehead amidst much wincing. "Do you have coffee?" she asked, her voice cracked a little from the night's sleep.

"Oh sure thing. Sit back down I'll get you a cup." He had previously been reading his book. He closed it shut and stood up,making his way to the kitchen. "So I found you on the floor...is that a normal thing for me to expect?"

Andria lumbered back over to the couch and pulled her legs up onto it as well. The pain had dulled significantly, almost making the bruise numb. "I just move around a lot when I sleep. I usually fall off the bed so..." she said as a manner of explanation. Of course, she left out the horrible nightmares she usually had, thanks to the voices around her.
 
" I see...I guess I'll get you a bed with smaller legs." He shrugged and prepared the coffee. He revived one of those fancy coffee makers from a co worker last year as a gift. All one had to do was place the small flavored packet inside and press the button. As he pressed the button he spoke up "so...about those ghost..." He really wanted to know something,if she was being true...it could be very insightful.
 
"Yeah? What about them?" she asked grumpily. It was obviously not her favorite topic of discussion, ghosts. Especially when she considered them the sole cause of all the torment throughout her childhood. If anything, the question only worsened her mood. And right on cue, the sink's resident ghost popped up. 'Hello there, sweetcheeks,' it said, leering at her and waving excitedly. "Oh shut up, Martin," was her reply as she turned away from the kitchen, sulking.
 
He proceeded to turn on the garbage disposer in the sink. " umm...I lost a friend...if your being truthful then you should have the ability to communicate with her." The coffee maker made a chime and he carefully picked up the warm cup. He couldn't help but enjoy the sweet aroma it admitted. "Here you are little miss" he carefully extended the drink out to her.
 
Andria clapped her hands over her ears as the ghost let out a high pitched squeal on its way down the drain. "Look, I don't care if you believe me or you don't," she started, slowly pulling her hands off her ears, "I am not going to be a goddamn medium or do a seance so that you can talk to your friend and that's that. I have enough trouble with the ghosts that know me. I don't want another added to that list." Then she picked up the ice tray and put it on her head before taking the coffee from him, "Besides, I don't know where it might be, this ghost of your friend."
 
"It would help me a lot if you could..." He glared at her slightly. "If you really can talk to the dead there is something I really need to say." Pressing his fingers to his temple he couldn't help but sigh. "But...it's your life, I cannot force you...but I would really appreciate it."
