The Adoption [LynxAmelia x Totally a hero] [Inactive]

"Hey!" Andria called out, tugging at the sleeve of the blue hoodie, "How do you know that ghost? Tell me." Andria had always been curious why ghosts wouldn't leave her alone. If she got to know this one, she could finally understand the reason to this madness!

"I really...I really need to get some sleep little miss..." He gently removed her hand and continue walking on. He was dead on the inside. He just needed some time to think about what she had just said.

"But..." she let go of his sleeve and watched him disappear into the room. She glanced down at her tummy that let out a loud well-timed growl. "...I'm hungry.." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She sighed. Her faith in him was disappearing rapidly.

He fell into the bed, like a stone sinking in water. His eyes staid open, there was no way he was sleeping tonight..."d...Diana..." He mumbled the name softly. He hadn't said it in so long the words felt foreign in his tongue.

As much as she wanted to go into the room, it seemed far too rude to do so without May's permission. The voices were back, including Martin's. But her hunger and the fatigue of the day got to her and soon she fell asleep right on the sofa, hugging her bag.

"What are you doing...please hurry up and eat.." He came back with a blank face and went to the kitchen. "It's bad to skip out on meals." He quickly made her a plate, combining the lettuce.

She had developed a horrible headache by then. It always happened when she was hungry. She squinted a little as she opened her eyes and watched May get to work. "Ah, so you remembered to feed the orphan. I am so grateful," she said grumpily.

Andria looked down at the plate and then looked back up at him. "If you aren't eating, neither am I," she said, laying back on the couch.

Following up with her words he sets the plate down and drags himself back to the kitchen. "You are a stubborn one..." He promptly makes himself a plate and walks back to the couch. "Can we eat now?"

Andria opened her eyes for a moment to peek at his plate. "Okay," she said, sitting up a little and putting her bag by her side. It was only then that she looked at the contents of the plate. "What is this?" she asked, eying the food suspiciously.

"It dose not have meat." Ignoring her question he started eating without saying anything. A expressionless face chewed on the food, how could he show any? He was truly dying on the inside, but it's not like he could tell her why. At least not so soon.

Andria bit her lip a little as she looked down at the plate. She had lost her appetite altogether. She took one measly bite of the food before saying, "I'm full," and laying back on the couch. She never thought anyone but herself had the right to feel bad. No problem could equal what she goes through.

"Are you ready for bed then?" He picked up both there plates and proceeded to scrape it all into the trash. He didn't really care for the fact that he had just wasted two entire meals. "My wife didn't eat meat either..." His words rang out sadly.

"No, I'm comfortable here, thanks," she said, curling up on the couch again. She felt no sympathy for him. She didn't know his wife, nor did she care. She knew better than to get too attached to places that were new too quickly.

He sighed and then turned the lights off and laid on the opposite side of the couch. "Good night then." He rolled on his side and closed his eyes. "If anything happens please wake me up little miss." As much as he wanted to be alone he still felt the need to keep her safe.

What Andria did not tell May was that she moved around a lot when she slept. So, in less than an hour into her sleep, she landed on the floor with a loud thud and groaned. "Ow.." she mumbled, rubbing her head a little.

Maya body flung up like a catapult. He was usually a very heavy sleeper, but tonight just happened to be one of those nights. " Andria...a-are you okay?" In all honesty he was rather scared, it's not a pleasant thing to wake up in the middle of the night and be greeted with a loud sound.

"No.." she said. She'd hit her head on the sharp edge of an adjacent chair. As she spoke, a bruise swelled up to the size of a ping pong ball on her forehead. "It's hurts," she said, almost reluctantly.

He stood up from the couch and started touching the wall in search for the light switch. "Give me a second..." With a little more patting of the wall he finally found the switch and flicked it up. As the light flooded the room he quickly closed his eyes. "Ouch..." He covered his eyes with his hands, then slowly removing them so that his eyes could adjust. Once his sight was back he bent down to examine the bump. "Yikes"

Andria gritted her teeth and winced visibly. "Don't touch it," she warned, putting her hand over the bump. Then she looked around for a moment. "Do you have ice?" she asked, attempting to stand up.

"Yah,give me a second" he stood back up and made his way to the fridge. Dropping to think about it this girl has made him go into the kitchen far to manny times in one day. He opened the fridge and moved some things around until he found it. "Ahh,here we are." He proceeded to take it out and then wrap a hand towel around it. "This should help with the swelling." He placed the ice pack gently on her head .

"Ouch!" Andria yelped. She took the icepack in her own hands and sat back on the couch. "Sorry. You can go sleep now," she said bitterly, turning such that he didn't have to see her.

"Not really..." He sighed trying to remember what had turned him into such a light sleeper. "If your not tiered we can do something,I'm obviously not getting any sleep tonight."

"Nah, I can see that you don't like the sight of me. And my head hurts enough already. Sleep," she mumbled, tugging her bag back onto her lap, "Don't let me bother you."
