Fandom The 73th Hunger Games

Harvest dropped his voice to a whisper, "What do you think of this girl, honestly the lovers pitted against each other won't work with three.. will it?" His voice was very calm, knowing he had to be more careful with this new one.

Lana chuckles and directs her attention back to the two lifeless bodies in front of her. "Hey thanks for the help guys, I would've been a goner if it wasn't for you." she says sweetly.

"Sh*t, yeah I know, it wouldn't work, but we can't take back what we offered," Paris snuck a glance at Lana. "But I dunno, my mentors are probably pretty mad at me for working with 'Oats'. I was supposed to work with D2, you know," Paris gave the fact that her mentors have been calling Harvest by a nickname. Paris raised her head to look at Lana. "Yeah, no problem," She said to Lana. Paris combed her blonde hair with her fingers not knowing what to do.

Lana shifts uncomfortably knowing very well that Paris and Harvest don't want her there. "Alright guys, where are we headed off to?" she asks while sighing softly and faking a warm smile.

"We camp at the cornicopia, we stocked up on supplies," Paris pointed to the camp. "We're a set. We have a fire up as ready, you can set your stuff there," Paris looked over at Harvest. "Should we just munch on the snacks tonight, seeing that there is nothing we could hunt?"

"Considering I'm not one to take up cannibalism then yes, snacks it is." He extended his hand for her to take, but reeled back realizing who was in there company. Harvest sighed before walking to Enforcer, picking out the arrows and spear from his body.

Paris whispered to him, so only they could hear, "Just keep up with the act," "Hmmm, I'm to lazy to walk, mind carrying me?" Paris said loudly so the cameras could hear. She was tired, but she was strong enough to carry herself.

He whispered back as he picked her up gracefully, "What act.". With her in his arms he balanced the weapons under her, trying not to poke her with them. "I would love to carry you." Harvest began walking to their home away from home, all the while looking lovingly into her eyes.

Paris laughed as she was being picked up and carried over to their camp. "You better not poke me!" Paris teased. Paris looked at the supplies they had stocked up. They probably had enough to eat, but they would probably get tired of apples, crackers, and jerky. Hopefully their sponsors will give them something else to eat.

"No promises sweetheart." Harvest gave her a very exaggerated wink for the camera, but was genuinely happy to be holding her. By the time they had got to the camp he had a huge grin on his face, almost forgetting about the fire, which he stepped on going inside. It didn't put it out, but it was lower than before.

"Food should come later on, we should have a lot of sponsors by now," Paris smiled. She grabbed and apple and a pack of crackers. "God, I'm starving,"

Harvest grabbed a loaf of bread and sat in the back of the cornucopia, motioning for Paris to come sit by him. If they were going to make a ruse, Harvest wanted it to be fun for him too. "Come share some of those crackers, I might even consider giving you some of my bread." He gave a smug look as he awaited.

"You guys can eat I'm not really that hungry," Lana hesitates before continuing, "...are you guys together?"

Paris threw the bag of dumb crackers at Harvest. "Here, take it," Paris walked over and sat next to him. She giggled but was cut of when Lana asked a question. "Uhhh," Paris didn't know how to answer that. Only one of them were getting out. They can't be together when they knew they weren't going to last.

"No, she is just keeping me company til the other tributes die." Harvest had already thought of how these games were going to end, so he answered the question with a smile. He placed his arm around Paris and pulled her close, "Don't worry sweetheart, we will be together for a couple more days.".

Paris suddenly pushed Harvest away. "If we aren't even gonna make it, why are you doing this? Are you trying to use me or something?" Paris felt fine with it earlier but now she felt a bit angry about it. Paris got up and sat farther away from him. "Atleast tell me it was for the cameras!"

Harvest was hurt, staring at her with his mouth open. But the moment she went away it turned into betrayal and he felt hurt. "Yes Paris, it was just for the f****** cameras, I just killed a man and it was just for the cameras." Harvest shook his head, his voice completely sarcastic, "Or maybe it was the fact I wanted to at least pretend to be in love for my last days alive!". With that he walked past the two, standing a little ways away from the building.

Paris gripped one of her many knives. Her mentors would urge her to do it. Her trainers at the Career Academy would urge her too. She glanced back at Harvest. She couldn't kill him now could she? A year dripped onto her knife. She watched it run along it's indents. She barely cried. She was told to hold it back at career training. Her mentors told her it would make other tributes think she was weak. Instead she threw it into the wall of the cornicopia. She threw it harder than she have ever thrown a knife before. It made a loud 'CLANG!' As it dented the metal. That was for the capital, the ones who made kids turn against each other. She threw another into a camera. She could identify them. She threw it hard. That was for the dim-witted citizens who loved watching kids fight to death.

Paris heard the metal on metal sound and turned his head, but he went back to staring out into the forest. Half watching for enemies, and half cursing himself for choosing a beautiful girl as his ally.

"I'm sorry I asked...." Lana says cautiously while watching Paris. "Do you really, truly love him Paris?" she asks hoping it really was just for the cameras. As much as Lana thinks its cute, its pathetic, falling in love inside the games was one thing that was absolutely forbidden at D2. She starts regretting her decision to become allies with Paris because its obvious shes not mentally strong enough to kill Harvest or to do any real harm to him.

Paris looked at Lana. "I'm going hunting, wanna come?" Paris needed to see some blood to clear her mind. When Paris meant hunting, she didnt mean to look for food she meant to kill some tributes. Plus, there wasnt any food. She threw another knife at the cornicopia before she left. "F*ck you again capital," she said as she passed by Harvest to walk out of the cave. In the career training academy, they favor the capital. They favored them because the capital favored us. The career districts, 1,2,4, were the richest districts. They were supposed to love the capital back. Inside every family, though, they all hate the capital.

Lana nods and stands up, grabbing her daggers with her. "How many tributes do you think are left?" Lana asks curiously. This thought had been floating around in her head for a while now, she needed to know how many more tributes until it was just her left with the victory crown.

Harvest watched the two leave, not looking up from the forest to see them. He got the spear from beside him and threw it in front of Lana, "Have fun you two.". His voice was stern like his facial expression.

Lana looks at the spear in front of her then looks up to glare at Harvest. "Thank you, we will," she grunts.

"Uhm, right," she said to Harvest. "We have to wait for the show tonight, I can't wait till I win," Paris knew Lana wanted to win too, but she wasn't sure if she depended on it. She didn't have the confidence or determination. Paris's district thought she would win, she needed to prove they were rights
