Favorite Class: Care for magical creatures, and herbology. She also does well in divinations.

Appearance: Tall and willowy, with pale skin, golden-brown hair, and green eyes. Due to her way of life, she is well muscled and healthy, but is usually covered in dirt. When cleaned, her skin seems to shine and sparkle, and she easily becomes one of the most beautiful people around her.
Personality: Very straightforward and hardworking, but somewhat reclusive. She occasionally makes a social blunder, and has a habit of not using her voice unless she is alone, in which case, she sings beautifully about nature. She is highly protective, and will not shy away from violence when she deems it necessary. She has trouble seeing when things are too well lit, and significantly prefers the nighttime. Occasionally, she falls into fits of depression, caused by her young tragedy.
Bio: Selena Viridian was the daughter of one of the highest and most respected families in both the wizarding and the muggle worlds. She enjoyed huge plots of land, as well as the wonder of a reserve for magical creatures, whom her father represented. Her mother took care of her while her father was at work, and vice versa. They worked in the garden and at tending to the creatures, and though it was hard, it was the most enjoyable thing she had ever done. Unfortunately, because of their very vocal opinions, they were targeted out by an attack by a loose association of dark wizards who wanted to abuse the creatures of magic and use them for power. Their mansion estate was burnt to the ground, and only she escaped the attack. Through interference of the Ministry, and of parliament, the land was named to be a natural reserve, illegal to set foot on by any man, and magical wards were likewise set up. She was not found, having fled to the forest to hide from the mages. She learned to live like and with the animals, who, both magical and nonmagical, did their best to raise her. Through this, she has gained the curious ability to speak with animals and with plants, should they choose to listen and respond. Several months before her invitation to Hogwarts, a unicorn on her lands passed away of a wound from a wizard who had tried to break through the barrier. The unicorn had been near the wards, and the violent means of prevention had wounded her. The unicorn demanded that she shave off his horn. Confused, she had done this, and followed instructions to create a magical wand from willow wood. She wielded magic which was natural to her, and well taught by her mother, to heal the wounds. This wand chose her, as did the unicorn. She continued to practice magic, until a squad of wizards of the ministry were able to detect the magic within the wards and came with intentions of dispatching a dark mage. Instead, they were shocked to find this girl, coming up on her eleventh birthday, wearing the seal of what was thought to be a dead family. She was instantly chosen as a new student for Hogwarts. Before the Choosing Hat even brushed her hair, it had declared her as a Hufflepuff. She dove into her work, quickly becoming the pride of Hufflepuff. For a period she evaded joining any sports, but stood to the occasion when her friend, a beater, was injured. She plays a good defensive beater, almost always right where she needs to be to save her teammates. Now, coming into her sixth year of Hogwarts, she is preparing for her career after school, and searching for the love which each teenager seeks.
