Terra "The Graveyard"

Captain Chester Whitefield

"Scatter the Siege Tank line. We can't lose groups of our tanks to their fire power. Stay on the offensive though," Chester ordered, "prioritize stopping the Soldats since the tanks do not have enough fire power to take out the behemoths. Zeroes get out in front. Rest of you infantry prepare for battle." Half of type zeroes rumbled to the front, the guns zeroed in on the enemy soldats still charging up. They unleashed another wave of cannon fire to stop the enemy infantry in their tracks. The other half of the Zero tanks  rumbled around the Lunar Base, hunkering down and setting up as mobile AA Weapons.

"Captain," one of the engineers called out, "We are getting one of the Dangsleif Rail guns online and the AA systems are still functional."

"That's more than enough, get it up ASAP."

"Captain, the Heavy Raiders have landed and are pushing into enemy lines. Also incoming hostile air support."

"Clear a path for them with Gunship runs. Have our Dragons deploy to defend our position."

Movements: Raider Battalion pushes forward. Gunships mobilized to cover them. Dangsleif system up in one hour (roughly a couple posts). Dragons dispatched to take on enemy air support.

"Incoming wave of torpedoes, it appears they were set to EMP. Negative effects registered. Still taking on heavy cannon fire. Shields holding at 60%. Hull Integrity at 80%."

"Continue the assault. Destroyers and Battleships take evasive action."

"Understood. Relaying orders to fleet."

New California, War Room, General Estanoctoc:

The General bowed slightly and greeted the newcomers. He then went back to business and stared at the tactical map, relaying orders to the various garrisons around the UTA Air Space. While Beijing was going to fall, most of the population was able to flee to safety on the surface world or other nearby colonies. He sighed and hoped that his family were among the survivors. Nwarhta's cold response unnerved him, but he was right, sacrifices had to be made for the greater outcome and if the Lorrainians wasted their resources in one place, they would be lacking or ill prepared elsewhere. Then the thought hit him.

"Admiral, what about the stealth fleet that tripped the alarm. They haven't shown up to the fight."

"I've been thinking about that. Given the multiple fronts the enemy have tried to open up, their goal seems to be to divert all our resources toward defending each and every one. My guess is that their primary objective is to use the Stealth Fleet to eliminate the capital. Thus winning the battle and the war entirely. Though the problem is that they aren't using two layers of stealth, an optical camouflage and a sensor camouflage."

"Well, I think I have an idea. Did you ever play the game, Battlecruiser, when you were younger?"

"Yeah of course, why?"

"What if we use the same tactics but instead of pegs on a board we use time bombs delivered in bulk by gunships. When they detonate it'll be either hit or miss. If they miss then we'll still get a reading because it appears that they aren't using any gravitational lensing device to hide their ships. The enemy is then most likely using a light refracting or some camera system as their optical stealth device. In that case their ships will cast a shadow upon every explosion that our sensors can track and use to actively triangulate locations."

"Wait that's actually brilliant. I'm glad that you're on my team, General. I'll have my pilots make it so then."

Outside, the UTA-SC Fujouou and the UTA-SC Orochi began launching out their Drone Gunships. They made fly-bys around the colony dropping floating mines by the colony. As part of their set up to counter the enemy stealth fleet.

@Proxploxtops

"Anyway, lets have our allies, have a chance at doing something in this battle," Nwarhta stated, "Bauduin, have your ships fly to the moon, the enemy is sending en masse a large fleet of fighters and destroyers to defeat our lunar outpost. We have identified our attackers to be the Kaisic and the Imperial Empire of Lorraine. There also seems to be another force out there, but their ship designs we do not recognize." Nwarhta then "passed" a file across the table towards Bauduin's hologram. It contained pictures of the transports out near the Inner Sphere and Beijing Colony. "I wonder if you know who these guys are."

"Kaisic...? Hm... Well this is troubling... We have a sort of a ceasefire type agreement with the Kaisic after their attempted invasion of our Diagna Colony... Going to war with them now might put my si-... *Ehem* The people at risk." I managed to catch myself at the last moment. Nwartha and Cecilia might know about my protective attitude towards my sister but I wasn't going to reveal that to the rest of the Terran Commanders. Hell, they might see that as weakness. Something I would rather not show now given my status as an Honorary Citizen and a Gold Leaf award holder. If anything I'll need to show my decisive nature.

"Unknowns? Give me a moment to take a look..." I 'picked up' the holographic file and took a look. They seemed a little familiar but I couldn't recognize it fully. "Marshal, come take a look here. Any of these ships ring any bells?"

Cecilia 'leaned' over to peer at the picture I 'held up'. Her eyes narrowed slightly while playing around with a lock of her hair. Her normally smug expression faded and her eyes widened. Whatever it was, I could tell. It wasn't going to be good news. "I'll be damned... Those are Alkarian ships."

"Alkarians? Huh... And this worries you because....?"

"You dope, these are the Alkarians that we signed a Treaty with. A trade and commerce treaty, Bauduin. The Principality are partners in commerce with them!" Oh.... Oh shit.

"Well... You heard her, Nwartha. Those unknowns are Alkarians. Apparently Atlus signed a treaty with them during my 'vacation' here. Something about 'old history' between our two Nations." I sigh, massaging my temples to get rid of this political headache that I'm starting to have. Things are looking bad. Do I support one Ally and lose the trust of two? To be honest the Kaisic are just a general pain with their self-righteousness and to be honest, remind me of robotic cockroaches. With silly Germanic accents. As for the Alkarians, they are just people trying to get things done... Wait. People! I remembered a report coming from Diagna about a passing Alkarian merchant group looking for permission to enter Atlus space! Perfect!

"Cromwell. Take the Phenex, the troopships and pick a few escorts. I'll trust the moon objective to you. As for me, I'll stay here and try to get in contact with the Alkarian fleet.... Maybe lower the enemy's fighting forces by convincing them to stand down and withdraw..."

"On it." Cecilia's hologram vanished, signalling the beginning of her assault. I sat still for a moment in thought. I had to try. If anything I'll try to convince them to stand down... Even if I have to do it by force. "I'll be back in a bit, Nwartha... I have a call to make."

I respectfully bowed before putting the holo-comm channel on hold for a moment. I found myself sitting back in my personal quarters back on the Euclid II. I reached forward to press the intercom. "Get me a long distance line to the Diagna Colonial Fleet...."

"Right away, Admiral." I silently prayed that it won't come to that. Please let it not come to that....

"Alright people, look alive! We got orders to help out with the defense of the Terran Moon outpost! Juniper, get on the horn and tell the troopships, the Surveyor, the Gibraltar, the Illuminator and 4 frigates to follow the Phenex!" I ordered my ship's Communications Officer as I took a seat in the Captain's chair, a small smile on my face. An ARAF ship leading a naval fleet? Its funny really. I was honestly glad I volunteered to test out the Principality's new toy on this trip. An air force officer is rarely out in space, let alone on a ship of her own, no? Still, Danny's behavior is a little odd. His time on this mess must have changed him a little. He's a bit more... skittish over matters such as this. Heh, I could have him reported for 'Deviant Loyalty' but he's still loyal. I should know, I was his dorm-mate once.

"Yes, Understood. Commander, belay the firing order. Nwarhta and his allies think they can solve this problem diplomatically," Hallevy ordered. Her metallic legs clanked around a bit before she finally decided to take a seat. She wondered why the hell Nwarhta would give the command unless... "Bauduin," she muttered, "of course he would do anything for him."

"Diplomacy, Admiral, we're in the middle of a battle."

"Apparently, Nwarhta's protegé wants to solve things with our target without blowing them out of the sky. Keep the weapon ready to fire though. I suspect things aren't going to be pretty."

"Understood. Its time to send our invaders packing. If one of these bad boys isn't enough then surely two or three will do." The second Ultimatum Class Super Battleship dropped out of warp and appeared next to the Atlusian Expeditionary Fleet. Following it were 4 Phoebe Class Battleships and 5 destroyers. Bersio opened a communication channel with the Atlusian Fleet. "This is Captain William Bersio of the UTA-SC Mauna Loa. We are allied reinforcements, don't shoot," he stated in the microphone.

Suppressed

The kaisic droids on the front were blown to peices. Many of them being killed or injured.

The large blinding explosion did not phase the commander, who saw this as an even more excuse to start slaughtering UTA civilians. His objectives had been achieved already.

Now he would have to deal with the pests.

He spoke into radio.

"Alright, Establish frontal trench line.

this will be a battle of attrition." He ordered.

"Pioneers, take cover within the craters and begin to build a trench with fortified bunker positions. Our tiger tanks will cover them."

The pioneers (who were already at the front) quickly followed through with their orders, diving into the craters and digging a trench system.

Troops quickly took shelter in these and quickly dug trenches as the tigers covered them. Their massive cannons were to deter enemy attacks while the pioneers were building. They were already bogged down.

@TPBx

It was strange. The Alkarian ships had not been fired at by the anti-aircraft positions on the surface yet. It bewildered the Captains and Admirals commanding the fleets. Rajin, speaking from the Iris, said "Wait, don't fire any ground strike weapons yet. Fleet, report damage." All of the ships responded similar, no damage. "Fuck, get the Paladin online. They cannot fire the Hellstorm or we will truly enter a war." he said, suspecting that the ships on the other side of the planet were someone they had known to well.

Aboard the Paladin

"What do you mean we can't fire the Hellstorms!?" Admiral Tores shouted into the coms. Rajin, being the highest admiral in command, ordered him not to fire. Rajin suspects that the Alkarians are attacking a distant ally through the Atlusians.

Aboard the ILS Enterprise

The bridge command watched unsteadily as the enemy gunships dropped their mines. They were trying to find them. The mines weren't closely packed however as they were trying to find the larger ships. They obviously didn't account for the stealth fighters and bombers.

"Sir, how shall we respond?" An officer questioned.

The admiral tried tlhard to keep his cool. His colleagues in the Kaisic forces had lost their stealth and now they have to send reinforcements to help their ass. He was trying hard not to scream, already pushing it by restraining himself from throwing his mug at the bridge window.

"Hold the fleet in position, minimal movement. How far can our weapons move?" The admiral asked.

"Fleet movement on hold, our torpedos can easily reach their colonies. Our phasers will reach as well though ineffective given the situation sit," the officer reported grimly.

"And our fighters and bombers? Are they in position?" The admiral asked.

"Yes sir, they're in position," the officer reported.

"Good, and our pods? Is the situation being accounted for?" The admiral asked.

"Yes sir, though given the calculations, some might be a tad off," the officer reported again.

So it seems not all pods would make it. Shame though a loss of one pod wasn't pivotal to the battle. They carried only around five troops per pod. Their were likely more pods than mines to be honest.

"Alright then, have the bombers initiate attack, have the fighters annihilate all gunships, hold 150 each to stealth. Only half of the attack dice shall be divided to the enemy fleet, quick and quiet. Have the torpedos fired at the enemy ship and phasers ready for enemy retaliation, keep half the stealth fleet in the shadows. Have half the strike force fired into enemy fleet battleships..." The admiral paused and stood up, "Sailors, there's a giant ass possibility that we may die, if we do, let it be. We are for the Empire!"

The crew gave a silent cheer and seemed to be working more efficiently. Brilliant lights came from some of the stealth ships. The flagship was still among those hidden.

Terra Space-New California

Upon receiving the orders, most of the AA systems were annihilated. Bombers were already in position as were the fighters for a while. Some of them managed to take out some of the gunships planting the mines, others taking out the mines themselves. Torpedos soon managed to out good sized holes in multiple areas of the colony.

Through the chaos, many of the pods from the revealed ships launched. Some hit the mines, most made it into the colony. The pods were made to pierce only a layer of armor, as soon as a large amount of empty space is detected within a half a second time frame, the ships would look on and open up. Troops poorer out and started firing at anything that tried to stop them. Commandoes went straight for the government districts as according to what they see. It was assumed it would be the more glorified section in the colony.

It was assumed at least 50-60 thousand were deployed and actually made it to the landing zone. Atleast a thousand died from faulty landing, misdrops or mines. The soldiers quickly covered ground, working to secure a foothold in the colony as the Commandoes rushed into the government districts.

Battleship Assault

Many pods were destroyed by mislandings. Many that landed were killed upon storming into the ship. Eventually, the troops blasted there way into a foothold. The attack force was seperated between five of the larger ships, about 10000 troops per ships, the smallest of the Terran fleets only receiving 8000.

The troops quickly made their way through the ships. It ought to keep them distracted for quite a while. The troops of the stealth ships were not only the best of the best from all units but also the best of the best from the Navy. Many had experience using and engineering ships.

The first targets aboard the ships would be the bridge and the armory. One for intelligence and taking out leadership and the second to cripple Terran backlash. The troops ran their way through the ship, blasting their way corridor after corridor.

Beijing Assualt

The battle seemed to be going relatively well. The colony was on the think of destruction, with it a sizeable chunk of their population. Many of the civilians seem to have ran it seemed and the pilots, mistaking it for troop transports in disguise, took a lot of them out. It didn't matter who they were, they were dead. It was all that mattered. The fourth fleet was proving themselves in Beijing.

One thing seemed odd however. The Alkari alhad not joined the battle. Though their assistance wasn't needed outright, it was certainly helpful. For the moment however, it was necessary the battle would win.

James watched as the Terran fleet was bombarded by advanced Imperial weaponry. Constant fire of missiles and cannons seemed to be effective. One thing was off however. The Terran fleets were in tight formation. It would seem a well placed cannon or torpedo could damage multiple ships. The formation would only be good for annihilating fighters. It was peculiar though he shrugged it off. Disabling their weapons or destroying their ships would be good enough for fighters and bombers to swoop in and finish the job.

Suddenly, a loud rumble could be heard. It seemed that a well placed Terran fire had pierced the hull of a Hornet. It didn't destroy the ship though it made it a sitting duck. The engineers could only try to fix it enough to be slightly usable. It's weaponry still fired as intended however. James could only witness the hell inside.

The battle for the Moon

The first fleet was in range of the Terran fleet now. The Terran fleet was well in range of the 1st fleet now. The 1st fleet opened its first shots, aiming for their weapons systems that could potentially harm the Kaisic in the ground. One thing was off about the battle though. The Alkari were nowhere to be found.

The fire was more intense now as the fleet was on the full offensive. Multiple cannons able to fire were fired and bombarded the enemy fleet. The fighters and bombers were getting ready for the attack run on the Lunar surface. The interceptors were to destroy anything that tried to chase or shoot them down. The fleet had to keep them distracted. The fleet battle for the Lunar moon had begun.

"Get me in contact with the Alkari, I want a status update from all our allies in the area, what's the Alkar up to...," Edward ordered, the last part he mumbled to himself however.

"Aye aye sir, sending transmission requesting status update," the comms officer reported.

At the front.

"Go! Keep moving!"

Our team leader shouted, wading through the low gravity terrain of the moon. It felt like stepping through mud or water, as it was difficult to even walk properly. This was terrain the SS hadn't been trained to deal with.

As the first blinding tank shot rammed into our lines, we were stunned by it's killing power. We hadn't even been trained for combat! All I had was a shovel and some building supplies strapped to my back, like all pioneers with me.

The Blitz tank next to me, as fast as it was, still got a direct hit by a shell. The hull around the driving port was morphed and punched through as if it was paper. The turret completely popped off of it, drooping to the side as flames escaped through the holes.

Our team leader had flinched due to the closeness of the shot, shouting cusses and profanity with his head under his hands. He still ran forward.

We finally got to the small dug out. This was supposed to be our trench.

We began to work on it.

I could barely hear them under the screams and explosions.

"Hand me that" one of my pioneer teammates told me with urgency. Shaking and confused, I handed him the tool. The Pioneer team was crouched within a crater, only lifting up slightly to move around. He quickly grabbed the tool from my hands and screwed in a couple of things. The automated Bunker building system would do the rest.

Mistakenly, the pioneer looked up for a quick peak of the enemy lines. But as he looked up, a faulty shell landed straight into his face. It was lodged in his head.

The pioneers looked on in horror to see this, many scrambling away from it incase it might explode. The team leader called over a medic to drag him out.He was dead non-the less.

"So this is their end game. So they've played all their cards. Now time to play mine. Deploy the Drone Type Zeroes from all sectors. Warp in all Destroyers. Surround enemy the positions. Bersio, the Mauna Loa has authorization to attack the enemy fleet near Beijing Colony with extreme prejudice."

New California, Streets

From beneath the ground below, several thousand trap doors opened up revealing the large humanoid tanks. Near the capital building several of these doors opened up revealing the mobile armor, the charging troops were slaughtered like cattle. The men in the garrison rushed out deploying inflatable cover for their positions or using the beastly tanks as their shield. The streets went from pristine to a hellish nightmare in moments as Lorrainian drop troopers fell like flies. Some tried destroying the tanks with their AT weaponry. While they were successful many times, the hivemind AI of the tanks would respond by having the nearest tank destroy the position the enemies had fired from.

Outside the battle continued with all the mines exploding setting off a chain reaction that would illuminate the sky around New California. As predicted, the shadow detection system would work and revealed a large number of stealthed ships. Though they would try to run, however due to Nwarhta's unwavering determination to not deploy the fleet to assist in other parts of the system, they would be met with resistance, many of which would be shot down. By the combined AA Power of Two Carriers, several battleships of both classes, and 40 destroyers.

"Deploy, Disruptor Smoke in the Halls. Man the sentry turrets." Several blast doors cut off the Lorrainian advance into the ship's important sections. Soon, a weird pink smoke filled the area, disrupting HUD visuals as well as any sensors they had on them. Then, simultaneously, from multiple angles laser fire would fill the room as manneda and unmanned sentry turrets would pick off soldiers one by one as they advanced into the ship. What the Lorrainians would soon realize, but would be too late to fix was the cramped space of Terran ships. As most ships were designed to only carry 1000-2000 people. Deploying nearly 5 times that amount into the cramped hallways made them death traps as escaping sentry turrets or taking them out would cause them many casualties.

In addition to the woes of the many mechanical traps set to counter act boarding parties. The troops onboard had other means of disturbing the progress as the Terran Marines would halt their progress on every floor of the ship. Either using their knowledge of the layout of the ship to maneuver around enemy forces and ambush from many angles or by laying traps upon the dead or dying to kill or maim others who would assist them. Generally using guerilla tactics learned from past ages to eradicate the opposing force.

Beijing Colony, UTA-SC Mauna Loa

The massive battleship crested over the North, putting itself in prime firing position to take on enemies from any of the closer to the colonies. Of course this time he would be saving his buddy, Flanders, from defeat to make up for the favor he did him on Parmenthel. The Super Battleship turned broadside and had charged up a shot with the EM Wave Cannon to fire at the enemy. The center ring on the Mauna Loa filled with a blinding amount of energy before firing a large circle of lightning that expanded as it travelled from his position.

The circle of lightning passed through the Lorrainian fleet and the already destroyed Beijing Colony harmlessly. However, the EM Wave Cannon's deadly effects were still noticeable as all of the Lorrainian ships had their generators knocked out. With no shields to resist cannon fire from the 30 more Destroyers that warped in from parts unknown to the current position. The Lorrainian fleet would fall quickly.

Luna Base, Chester Whitefield:

Several blasts struck the area around the command center, damaging it but not directly piercing its hull. Outside the Lorrainian Fleet that would come to assist the fight on the Lunar Base would soon be met with the combined force of both the Atlusian and UTA Fleets. Coming in from the flank the remaining 90 Destroyers would swarm the battlefield. Providing covering fire with their many guns. The Phoebe Classes, a Carrier and the Fighter Wings from the nearby Paris Colony would deploy to take on the Lorrainian Fighters. The Terran Dragons would again prove their skill as they would not only evenly match the Lorrainians, but still best them in dogfight scenarios with their ability to control fights and force enemies out of their comfort zone as the disruptor smoke would cloud their targetting systems and force them into classical dogfight scenarios which most enemies were not trained for. In a fight of rookies versus experts, it would become clear who would be the victor.

Grand Admiral Nwarhta:

Off screen, Nwarhta looked at the beautiful chaos that the battlefield provided. There would be many more infernos that he could watch, but none more satisfying than this one. Nikrat was right about him, the old man was in fact a demon in sheep's clothing. "You Lorrainians merely adopted war, but I was born in it, molded by it. I didnt see peace until I was already an old man," he purposefully misquoted from a classic piece of 21st Century Film.

"Well would you look at that mess... How exciting!" I cheered as the UTA and Lorrainian fleets began an exchange of cannon fire. But what interested me more were the fighters and oh my goodness they were a sight to behold! If one thing, I knew landing operations depend on who controls the skies. In that case, I'll chip in on the furball.

"All Sparrow and Gull squadron pilots are to prepare for launch. .... I also want Rot squadron to prepare for launch." That order brought some mutters among the bridge crew. Of course it did, I just ordered the only 4 Eta planes we have on-board to take off. These expensive new toys better be worth breaking 15 years of the ARAF's RnD budget. "Oh and one more thing. Any one of you Rot Squadron members get shot down, I'm punishing everyone on this ship."

There. That should be enough incentive to ensure the Etas remain intact. Which reminds me, I'll have to make sure we use the Phenex's trump card at least once... But on what I wonder?

"Hm... Best we join the fray ourselves.... All ships, staggerred line and advance! Tell the UTA ships that help has arrived! Now onward! Victory or death!" I commanded. Although my only complaint that the victory cry coming from the comms seemed weaker then usual. Oh well.

Atlus Royal Air Force - Phenex Detachment

Flt Lt Larry Folke "Rot-1"

"Well gents, you heard the Lady! No one gets shot down unless I say so!"

"Yes, Sir!" With that final shout, everyone got into their planes. Unlike the Zetas which were stored in the port or starboard hangers, the Etas were kept in the central hanger. One of the safer areas of the ship and with good reason. Prior to our assignment, we were shown the price of one unarmed Eta and it contained a couple more zeroes then I would be comfortable with. But I honestly, I enjoy the Eta. The controls are smooth and its a lot more maneuverable and faster then a Zeta. Not to mention the fact that the railgun packs a mean punch.

"Rot-1, taking off!" The g-forces exerted by the catapult forced me back into my seat. I grinned in anticipation in finally trying the Eta out in live combat and did a lap around the Phenex as I awaited the rest of my squadron. I watched as Sparrow and Gull squadrons formed up and picked up their radio chatter to listen in on them as they headed off into the fray first.

"Rot-2 reporting, there seems to be an issue with Rot-4's plane. How should we continue, Rot-1?" I grit my teeth as I heard this transmission. My guess is that there must be something off with Rot-4 railgun holder just like back during our test flighting mission. I quickly thought for a moment and made my decision.

"Tell Rot-4 to hurry it up and to link up with us later! We'll be heading off first. No point sticking around doing nothing."

".... Now then... Time for a miracle..." I sigh as I tapped the intercom again.

"Hail the Alkarian fleet then put me through..." I ordered in a soft, quiet tone.

"Right away, Sir... Are you alright...?" I heard the Communications Officer ask through the intercom in a whisper. Damn, I must sound depressed. Heh... My time on Terra must have changed me with it being the grand cradle of humanity and all. Now its a wasteland being fought over by multiple groups. One made up of robots, one made up of ambitious people and the other a nation that has a long history with Atlus. And now I'm going to have to convince them to stand down, hell, I even set up a contingency involving hostages for God's sake!

"I'm fine Denver just... Follow my orders, alright?"

"Yes, Sir. On it." I'm sorry everyone. I'm going to change history now. For better or for worse is yet to be seen but my actions will change it.

Aboard the ILS Patriot

Commodore James Liland

James was not a happy man to say the least. He watched helplessly as instantly, 4 Hornets and 3 Dreadnoughts instantly became disabled. The pink smoke that clouded the battlefield also have him a headache. The machines were going haywire. The second fleet had to help. They should have arrived minutes earlier.

Suddenly, a loud boom followed by what only could be described as an earthquake shook the ship. The Hornet cruiser in the fleet had exploded. Shrapnel was sent flying in all directions, scraping the hull of multiple ships. Debris also flew towards the Terran fleet, some taking in the enemy fire.

"Sir, we have seven ships have been incapacitated, it'll be some time before they're online again!" The officer reported.

"Aye then, no choice but to keep fighting," the admiral responded.

"But sir, they have the help of thr Atlusians! The pink smoke seems to have messed with our censors...," The officer reported.

It was true. Much of the tracking mechined were defunct. They were in the fritz. Perhaps if a sample was collected and contained then it could be deciphered whatnot was that made it effective.

"Open an airlock and contain the smoke in a hangar bay, maintain fire and then get us the hell outta here!" James ordered. He was growing weary by the second.

"Aye aye sir, where to?" The officer asked.

"The farside if Terra, fly in low in order to lose them on the surface!" The admiral ordered, "the rest of the fleet will have to fend for themselves"

The officer was reluctant to obey. It wasn't custom to abandon comrades though tactics command it. Should the fleet abandon ships, doctrine dictated that the ships abandon ship and the ships set to detonate within twenty minutes in open airlock or troop censors which could be enabled from the Captain's pod. Before the twenty minutes are up, a mass of weapons internal defence systems would actvate,

It was a sad sight, James had a glimpse of the escape pods launch, a blaze if white light and smoke, flying off to Terra. There was no point in heading to the destroyed Beijing colony not was there any point in risking Neo-Moscow. As the pods turned to face Terra, the ship made their jump, taking a few more hits before they launched to the far side of Terra.

Aboard the ILS Gadigan-Bridge

Admir Edward Gunther

"Sir, receiving contact from the Alkarians, they seem to be having technical difficulties... And enemies?" The officer seemed confused.

For one, the Wolf class cruiser would not be risked for an enemy. For another, the Terrans did not simply have the manpower to make an excursion of two ships. No radar indicates battles besides the moon, Beijing and New California.

"Difficulties my ass... Fuckin' cowards!" He mumbled, "Nevermind, new plan! Focus fire on their weapons systems, have our bombers and fighters approach the battlefield from the farside escorted by interceptors to destroy any chasing them! Do...Not..Retreat"

The admiral stifled his last words. Edward wasn't the kind to be pissed often though he was a cold and sturdy man. He became the embodiment of the devil himself should a fool decide to oiss him off.

The battle was hearing up now. Fire seemed to be more common. Though the Terrans had more ships, the Lorrainians were more technologically advanced and more skilled in naval affairs.

"Shields are holding, 95% and dropping slowly, hull is in decent shape, structural integrity on full," an officer reported.

Edward nodded and gripped his arm rests. He had half a mind to tear them off, grab a ship himself and fly right into the Alkarian admiral, then proceeding to bash his face with the said armrest. The Alkarians had promised help and a large ass fleet. They had two ships. He eventually calmed himself down thinking the Alkarians would fulfill their duty in time. Failure was not an option.

Battle for New California

Aboard the ILS Enterprise

Setting off the mines did not go as planned. Though few, many of the mines exploded revealing multiple ships in the vicinity. Atleast ten more ships had been revealed. They had no choice but to launch their soldiers. Reinforcements of 70,000 were launched, heavily armed and dangerous.

"Sir, we're getting fuzzy reports from the soldiers aboard the ships, we've lost contact with them but unknown if they are KIA," and officer reported, "common words include 'crampped' 'death trap' and well... More troops died from tightelness than bullets it seems"

The admiral shook his head. He disaproved of insubordinate humor. Now was not the time to joke. He stared at the officer.

"Then dispatch a fraction of the troops, they've got small ass ships..." The admiral ordered.

The officer only nodded and continued with his duties. Torpedoes and phasers scratched the surface of the Terran ships. Multiple explosions could be seen coming from them. Only 10 or so stealth ships remained hidden.

New Californian Streets

The soldiers were training for invasions since they volunteered. They were no where near prepared for the hell unleashed in New California. It was a run for cover. Though the HDWs did a number on the tanks, their was only so much ammo available. They had to be careful and make every shot count. No ammo was likely to come for a while.

Friendly machine gun emplacements were quickly set up in narrow streets and alleyways, often breaking into homes and killing the inhabitants. It was brutal as was war. Soon enough, most of the troops were in cover. HDWs were launched from corners, HDWs were also set up as mortars, bombarding enemy positions. The streets could be seen dotted with craters.

Many of the troops were in cover now, clearing the colony street by street, building by building. They killed any who resisted- a civilian who fought back was just a viable to kill as a soldier. EMP Grenades were also tossed at tanks, disabling them though not as effective as HDWs. The hell on the streets was brutal. Welcome to Urban warfare.

Aboard Terran Ships

The soldiers inside the ships were cramped. They had barely enough room to move. They could walk though had little in the way of organization. As soon as the smoke came, the soldiers became confused, activating their gas masks. They didn't realize it but as soon as the smoke was released, their access to help was cut off.

They were soon the fish in the barrel. The turrets fired, they could barely fire back. They could not see and could only guess where the enemy fire was coming from. Many died of friendly fire. Soon, the charges were planted and the blast doors opened to the cost of dozens of soldiers. They had to keep moving. Staying still was a death trap.

As the troops hurriedly moved through the ship, traps activating to the dismay of the soldiers, they killed any crewman they saw. The landing alone had killed half the ship boarding force. They had no access to advanced electronic weaponry. They had to rely to their weapons, armor and sheer willpower.

Front Line:

Documentary.

During the Lunar invasion, many Kaisic droids had set up on the moon, essentially making a beach head in the invasion. Although casualities were high and moral was low, the Wehrmacht were determined to assist in the landings.

When asked about the end goal for the mission, they had stated different things. This had revealed the uncertainty in the plan in the first place.

"They had attacked our recruits (Newborns), we cannot allow them to get away with it." One general wrote.

"If we show cowardly behavior in front of our Allies, what does that make us? We are ment for war! Built and refined for battle, As history has shown.

We have been thrown out and neglected by These foul Things. Our Allies have shown us that they were able to Give us another chance. These Terra folks have shown us nothing. And for that... We shall CRUSH them."

Atlus 1st Expeditionary Fleet - Phenex Detachment

Flying Officer Jeager Fritz - Weapons Control Officer

"Woah... Look at the scale of combat... Its huge..." I heard one of the radar operators gasp as he looked at the mayhem on his 3D radar hologram. I had to admit, the old Colonial Rebellions are simple play fights compared to this madness. If anything, only the Chief Air Marshal seems to be enjoying herself. As for me, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to use HER.

"All ships! We are now approaching the Terran Moon! How about we send them a welcoming gift?" I took that as the cue to ready the Phenex's weapons. Connecting the beam cannons to the power banks, loading the missile launchers, setting the CIWS to automatic targeting, reading the railgun turret, things like that. I then set the gun's targeting systems to lock onto the Kaisic ships we are closing onto. My finger feels like its twitching as I feel the trigger. Just waiting for the order.

"All ships... OPEN FIRE!!"

Thte Battle over Luna

The Atlus fleet detachment fired off an intense volley with all their available weapons. Missile trails streaked to their targets, railgun slugs whistle through space and plasma beams light up the dark as they streak towards the enemy ships. Only time will tell if the barrage is effective.

Meanwhile, the Atlus Zetas and Etas are raising chaos with the enemy fighters. A game of cat and mouse in a target rich environment. There was plenty of radio chatter in the air as Zeta pilots called out attacks or call for backup. The Etas, on the other hand, were dead silent. Dancing among the battle like ghosts, seemingly acting as one. It was easy to mistake them for drones but it was simply the datalink system working like clockwork, marking out targets and showing pilots targets of interest.

If the UTA enjoy a show of force, the Kaisic for their large machines, the Lorrainians for their sheer numbers, and the Alkarians for their spirit. Then Atlus enjoys the harsh beauty behind the battle. The little struggles that make up a larger spectacle. That is, except for one.

Atlus 1st Expeditionary Fleet

Rear Admiral Daniel Bauduin

"Sir, we have established a comm line with the Alkarians." I heard my Communications Officer tell me over the intercom. I thanked her and straightened my uniform and cap before turning to face the screen in my quarters.

"Greetings Alkarian fleet. You may not know me but please listen to what I have to say. I am Rear Admiral Daniel Bauduin, overall commander of the Atlus Merchant Fleet and heir apparent of the Bauduin Noble family, and I simply ask for one simple request." I pause for a moment.

"I humbly request that the Alkarian fleet disengage and leave this... embarressment of a battlefield at once. I am asking of this in honor of our Trading Treaty we have between our Nations and we do not wish to break under silly circumstances. I ask you, as a fellow ally, why are you attack the UTA? Is it resources? I thought we had an agreement to aid you in your resource problems. Are you under threat? Then come to us. Atlus will aid its ally in any way possible. This is why we are here, we are helping the UTA drive off this unjust invasion. I was captured by the UTA once and I have seen its people. They had suffered under a tyrant until a brave man stepped up and took over. They are a tired nation. One that has seen too much war. A sad fate of a planet that is the literal cradle of humanity as a species before we launched off into space. Terra is as much our home and we should be helping it. Not going about stomping it to the ground in the name of conquest!" I stopped for a moment to let that sink in.

"So please. As an ally I simply ask once again. Stand down and leave Terran space. Please. I beg of you. Stand down and think."

Warped in...Kaisic super weapon revealed!

A giant bulbous looking ship was warped in, dwarfing all of the other ships. They seemed tiny compared with the other ships.

Some of it used UTA tech, but improved slightly for mass production. It looked to be the size of the moon.

It's Giant engines burned bright as it slowly made it's way towards the moon...

Kaisic Super weapon Reporting

"Mien Herr, We have arrived" The Navigation soldat informed the Old Kapitan, looking to the far off battles. The Kapitan nodded , standing along side his navigation officer with his hands rested behind his back. He looked to the battles with dead eyes. He has not seen a battle this chaotic. Somehow, these armies could not take on ONE military force. They had more numbers, despite being the Only force defending their planet.

Someone was holding back...

"Our allies are still struggling..." He said with a disappointed sigh, shaking his head.

"It looks like we are the only ones actually pulling in forces...these cowardly humans are so frightened by loss..." He was baffled by this cowardly display. why did the humans care for losses? Aren't humans just massed produced in a factory?

"Mein herr, Our forces on the Lunar front are pinned." The radio operation room mic spoke into the room ,breaking the silence in the bridge.

The kapitan leaned to the table and held a button down to speak.

"Send in our new fighters... Contact the engineering bay to produce more fighters."

The order immediately launched the fighter wave. The red tri-planes fell through from the bottom of the craft and turned to the moon. it was a massive wave of small red planes.

"Hail our allies." He ordered through the comms again.

"Yes mien herr." a small voice responded.

"Hallo mein freunds... Mind telling me why we are Losing against the puny Terrains?" He asked the other commanders.

Effective

Kaisic ships decimated.

The dreadnaughts were surprised by the sudden Atlus fire. It also shocked the ground troops who saw the battle. Despite he armor of the ships, They were decimated. The Kaisic fleet had lost half of it's forces in an instant.

Then...something large came into view. A giant ship, releasing a wave of little red planes.

The red planes were quick, light, and nimble, catching on the flank of Atlus planes and chasing them with great speed. They were almost impossible to shake off.

As for the Atlus ships, The rest of the fleet quickly returned fire. They pulled up their shields and began to duke it out with the Atlus ships.

The giant ship also did as well, As all types of weaponry opened up onto the fleet of ships. They were 'medium' sized shells, but they were in such a massive volley they could do some major damage.

On the bridge of the Zeppeline

The commander didn't seem to mind the battle that he was taking place, glancing to the event with lesiur. He didn't seem to mind the scene of burning Kaisic ships in front of him.

"Our guns are opening fire Kommandat." The mic spoke.

"Good...keep firing."

"Sir...those are Atlus ships."

"So? Keep firing. Our pencil pushers will deal with the drawbacks..."

ABC Iris

"Sir, we've got a communication line. Its from... Atlus" the coms officer spoke. "I knew it. Alright, open it up" Rajin replied. He listened to what Bauduin had to say. Rajin felt off when entering the airspace and seeing those ships. "Keep it live" Rajin ordered.

Communications to Atlus Fleet

"This is Admiral Yogi Rajin of the Alkarian First Fleet. We did not realize you were allies with the Terrans. Our involvement in this battle was strictly through assisting new friends. We are deeply sorry for this endeavor. My fleets will be leaving sh-" Rajin was cut off by one of the officers in the room, it was detected by the communications and was audible. "Sir! We have more signatures inbound. This ones huge, maybe bigger than the Paladin.". Admiral looked to the officer, then back to the screen. He saw what he was talking about. "Change of plans. We are going to help you in the defense. Our ships are full, no rounds nor troops sent. We take old friends over new. Are you alright with that?" Rajin said to Bauduin. The Paladin Fleet alongside the First Fleet were going to turn this battle back around.

Captain Chester Whitefield

"Move the command center back, we need to avoid their cannon fire," Chester said as the building took another hit. The clamps on the ground released and the jets ignited bringing the saucer like command complex into the sky. It hovered in placed for a bit then gradually began moving back wards away from the front.

"Captain, Dainsleif system is online," the engineer stated.

"Good, load the first shots and commence attacks on the closest enemy ships."

Gunnery Sergeant Tychus Findlay

A filthy Soldat held out its hand asking for mercy, but this sight enraged Tychus only moreso as he plunged the plasma bayonet into the Soldat's torso and drove it upwards, cutting the robot in half. More gunfire rattled his suit, he drew up his damaged blast shield and reflected the shots. His chain gun spun up once more and unleashed a flurry bullets upon the enemy position, knocking off the heads of several more Kaisic as he and his team tore their way, tooth and nail, through the enemy line. The Raider Battalion sustained heavy damage, losing 40 of their men over the course of the fight. While the Kaisic infantrymen's weapons were not enough to break their armor so easily, cannon fire from Kaisic tanks and the orbital bombardment provided by the Lorrainians thinned their numbers tremendously.

Findlay ducked behind a crater, and tapped his helmet opening the comm device. "Captain Whitefield, we can't get anywhere near their tanks. We need extra support."

"I have my hands full and our support is out fighting the Lorrainian fighters and Kaisic Warships. If you feel like your men can't break through then fall back to the defensive line, there's no need to lose any more men."

"Aye, sir, giving the order." Tychus then made a hand motion to the Raider next to him and he passed the message down the Raider's forward line. Soon the remaining Raiders began trudging their way back to the UTA Defensive Line. Behind them, there was a bang and a sudden burst as one of the Dangsleif's fired a rod into a Kaisic vessel. The rod embedded itself into the hull then exploded, creating a vacuum into space, sucking out Kaisic sailors into the void. Two more rods struck the hull of the same Kaisic ship, continuing to deal out massive damage to it.

@Panzer

Adam One, Airman Ken Hylan

"Orte, you have a bogey on your tail," the young pilot stated. The Dragon in front of him had caught the attention of an enemy Lorrainian Interceptor. He adjusted his sights to line them up while Orte's Dragon as he was deploying smoke to get rid of the enemy's lock on.

"Hylan, I'm in trouble can you take him out," Orte exclaimed. The enemy interceptor began firing at him, and Orte was doing his best to dodge around it. Hylan tried following move for move.

"I can't line up a shot without hitting you."

"Just do it, take this guy out." Then from the right another Dragon opened fire on the enemy interceptor. Its shots were deadly accurate as every single one found their way to its target. "Wait who's that."

Another voice joined the channel, "Shade One to Red Leader, you can thank me later." The Dragon flew by and dealt out more damage to surrounding Lorrainian fighters.

"Commander Azelf, thanks for the save," Orte called out in the comm-channel. Azelf continued to fly through the enemy lines unperturbed by the opposition. His Dragon soon swooped around the battlefield, engaging other Lorrainian and Kaisic aircraft.

"News from Rajin. Open up a link to the Lorrainian flagship in the AO. The Admiral wants to speak with them." an officer told a man on the coms. The video link buzzed to life as the connection was established. Rajin stood with his hands behind his back, facing the screen.

Admiral Yogi Rajin to Lorrainian flagship

Attention all Lorrainian ships in the AO. This is Alkarian Admiral Yogi Rajin speaking from the Iris. We have some unsettling news. We have recently discovered that Terra is technically our ally due to their alliance with the Principality of Atlus. We are respectfully requesting you leave the Terran system now. If you do so, none of your ships shall be harmed. As for if you decline our offer, you will be shot down. Our leaders will be talking on this that's from sure. Advise the Al-Quhrans to do the same.

Kaisic Retreat started. Losses are. R in vain.

Chilling intel reached the KHC Recently, highlighting the blaring mistake. They had not anticipated this.

The Kaisic High Command was heavily displeased with This news. They could not proceed with the mission.

The Atlus have entered on the opposing side.

They issued a full retreat order. And an immediate stop to the conflict.

The kaisics have pulled from the war.

//////////////////////////////////////////

The Kapitan Was outraged by this.He stared off at the battle in silence.

"Mien herr...we lost another fighter." The helm Officer reported in a soft tone. The

Kapitan Looked on in silence.

The navigation officer walked in with a  Couple of papers in his hands.

"Kommandat, we are pulling back."

He stepped in to say. The kapitan Froze, visibly shaking with furious anger.

It scared the Helm officer, which decided that this was the time for a stroll . He stepped out of the Bridge with haste.

The Kapitan turned to see the navigations officer.

"So...I guess we've lost. What what the mistake in our plan?"

He asked, stepping to the side.

"Atlus had joined the war on their side sir."

The navigation officer responded with a shaken voice.

"We must protect our oil...and the Atlus have the oil fields on their colony. We cannot allow ourselves to lose our oil to Atlus attacks on both fronts."

The kapitan Nodded, leaning his side on

the table. He pressed a red button into the comms.

"Everyone, we are pulling back. The Terrains have Won"

/////////////////////////////////////////

The officer in the trench looked out upon the battle up ahead, seeing Terran Commandos decimate his troops.

He was sitting on a munitions box with a message in his hands. One that he regrets to the knowledge of what it read.

"Kaisic retreat. Pack up and leave the sector."

He was horrified. As soldiers fired their rifles and were killed brutally by these beasts, he had to tell them to retreat.

"Everyone...Hello! We...the brave  Kaisic forces...are now set to retreat."

The kaisic riflemen looked around in confusion, holding fire on the suits.

they then turned to the trench.

The transports were a ways back, so the Kaiser tanks began to act as a transport.

the massive KonigTiger did the same for them.

The Tigers reversed backwards to the transport as to cover it's trail.

the officer walked along side the tanks, baffled by the fact they had lost. it  was almost like a dream.

Then , he realized the problem. He had been under the commands of untrustworthy humans. This loss with the second scariest faction against an easier faction was frightening.

He was loaded onto the Landing ship, and watched as the ranp closed.

They then took off, scampering away with their tails between their legs. How humiliating.

They docked with the newest Zeppelin and began to rest. some of them were so tramautized by the loss of their friends that they began sobbing with their hands in their face. Others were just haunted in general, and mindlessly wandered around the cabin.

Soon, the reat of the fleet turned  tail, warping out of the sector and into space.

Terra stays.
