Will I be okay to play a jorogumo, spider-man, my idea right now is he won't have the thorax of the spider though, he will look humanoid and be able to produce the silk, web that spiders do from his fingers (they have a certain way of doing it though which I can explain later) and also from his mouth, like floss. I realize this explanation is kind of choppy I'm sorry

And maybe he is a overlord or something of authority over a jorogumos (still playing with this idea)

I'm going to call him Silk Road

thinking of making former high-profile royalty, who converted to a taoism-like religion and vanished to live with the peasants to pursue a modest lifestyle and such.
for powers i'm considering turning origami into tíny light-based creatures, just cause it's cute.

seeing other characters in positions of power flying around, so I thought the dynamic between that and someone who abandoned/ran away from their duty could be fun to explore.

Indeed!

Anyone can learn magic even if they never used or had it before. Like anything it takes time. The rightful wielder to a blade would be able to do it much quicker though when they find/claim/hold the blade for the first time. The magic would be the same as the blade though remember
