Also, looking back through the series, I can confirm that normal weapons DO indeed kill a witch. We'll just pretend with that last time that the witch used magic/minions to stop the bullets.

As for them seeing the witch, I'm still unclear about that. Sometimes they can (Madoka/Sayaka, as well as Homura in episode 10, timeline 1,) and sometimes they can't (Walpurgisnacht, Hitomi and the Witch's Kiss) so I don't really know how that works.

The way I see it, the Witch's labyrinth is what's hiding them. Once a Human enters the labyrinth (Usually by accident), then the labyrinth, the familiars (As demonstrated by Sayaka and Madoka), and the witch themselves become visible.


Walpurgisnacht doesn't need a labyrinth to remain unseen by Humans. That's just how powerful it is.
