okay, how will he work in the RP... Just curious.
I JUST said I deleted him because I realized his OPness was too much.

My love for Homestuck was clouding my judgement when I made the CS for him.

ah okay... also can you tone down the text effect for Error Sans, it makes it hard to read.

:P Alright, I'll put it on medium glitchiness.

Sorry for the inconvenience, although I was trying to make it hard to read to imply that his words were broken and kind of hard to understand.

They were hard to understand.

Just not in the way you wanted.

I don't find it that difficult xD Just... Kinda difficult. It takes me a little while to figure out the text behind the mess.

I thought it was a nice quirk ( :) )

@LegoLad659 I've heard you mention it before a few times: what is the Rot? I looked it up, but didn't get very satisfying results (Mostly just threads saying something to the equivalent of "ZOMG ROT VICTORY HARD!")

xD Yeah, getting a Rot Victory is difficult.

Basically, the Rot is the force of darkness in Armello. I suppose the best way to describe it is a magical disease spread by wounds inflicted by either the Banes, or corrupted Armellans. There are also spells that give characters Rot, either to the person it's being cast on or, in the case of dark magic, to the person casting it. In-game, a character is considered corrupted when their Rot value is 5 (Indicated by the
full
symbol on the bottom right). The Rot, regardless of how much or how little is within someone, will decay their body at the same rate (It's very slow - Again, in-game, the Rot will remove 1 heart per dawn). Having more Rot simply gives you an edge over other infected or corrupted creatures. Banes will also not attack corrupted creatures, seeing them as allies. A corrupted creature can also kill a Bane to obtain its power, increasing the level of Rot in themselves.

To get a Rot Victory, you have to defeat the King of Armello in combat while you are corrupted. This is difficult because every dusk, the King gains 1 Rot. So you always have to keep your Rot value above his to keep the advantage you'll get during combat, otherwise he's the one getting the advantage.

By the way, yes, this does mean that the Bane's attack on River back when she first arrived did, in fact, infect her.

Thank you, but I'd figured out that much. I meant as part of the story. Not game mechanics, like what does it do to someone?

I was only using the game mechanics as an example. Really, the lore doesn't extend much further from what the game shows you, from what I can tell. But to reiterate:

The Rot is spread by Banes and corrupted creatures via injury. It slowly kills the person it's infected, over the course of days. If a creature's blood is saturated with enough Rot, it begins to twist their minds and they become corrupted. A creature with more Rot in their blood has an advantage over those with less, though those with pure blood still stand a chance. Corrupted creatures will also be left alone by the Banes, which they can kill to gather more of the Rot's power, though allying themselves is also a very real possibility.

So a little kills, a lot corrupts?

More or less. Corrupted creatures do still suffer the rotting effect, though there are ways to counteract it, mostly using healing magic like the Regenerate spell.
