Shiki and Len got in the car. It was indeed not the place for idle chat. Len morphed back into a cat and sat near Shiki. The Boy looked through the window at the sky, wondering what Arcuied was doing.

Archer needed to ask what those terms meant, but after they went to shelter. ''Very well, then let us do so. Staying for too long here seems to be dangerous in more ways than one'' he said.

As the group was finally in the car, Mirus started it and drove forwards. Harleen reached for the radio and began to play music as the car continued on the highway out of Atlanta, leaving the city of the dead far behind. Bishop shot Len a strange look, as if trying to figure out how she could change between her two forms while Harleen also shot her some glances "I gotta ask, which one do you prefer?" She asked with a shrug "I mean I guess being a cat would have it's perks but there's also a chance that you get chased up a tree."

Mil led the group to the shelter. It appeared to be a downed X-wing. It's left wing was missing as well as the thrusters on the back. However, despite this it was able to create a shadow. Mil began to scan the ship "I could repair this but it would take time." It stated


"Not enough room for all of us. It'll be crammed." Syeron butted in with a shrug.


As Mil continued to scan the ship, another tear opened next to the downed X-wing.

Crane took his backpack back out and began digging into it. He grabbed various supplies and began crafting firecrackers to replace the ones used in the last fight. He hummed along to the radio.


A long bar running down Isaac's spine was glowing yellow. Several zombies hit him in the last fight and that caused the bar to turn yellow from green. His suits hologram projected Isaac's inventory in front of him. He tapped a small med pack. The picture of the med pack faded from the screen as the bar on his back turned green.

Crane took his backpack back out and began digging into it. He grabbed various supplies and began crafting firecrackers to replace the ones used in the last fight. He hummed along to the radio.


A long bar running down Isaac's spine was glowing yellow. Several zombies hit him in the last fight and that caused the bar to turn yellow from green. His suits hologram projected Isaac's inventory in front of him. He tapped a small med pack. The picture of the med pack faded from the screen as the bar on his back turned green.

Upon noticing the bar on Isaac's spine through the rear view mirror, Mirus turned to face him "I never asked what century you were from, Isacc." She spoke "Mind explaining just what kind of technology that spine thingy is."


"You'd better tell her." Harleen butted in with a smile "She won't shut up until you give her an answer. Learnt that the hard way."


"We're from the twenty third too, just a different universe." Max shrugged, gesturing to Bishop "For one thing you've never seen my face."


"Space cowboys are hard to miss." Harleen added


"Got a huge bounty on my head for killing two crime lords." Max chuckled "Jesus, those guys are so pissed with me." He shook his head


"I know the feeling." Mirus smiled


"How much is the bounty for Bishop?" Harleen asked


"Ain't got one. Surprisin'." Max shrugged


"Anyway, Isacc what is that spine thingy?" Harleen asked again.

"I'm from the 26th century. The whole suit I'm wearing is a RIG or the Resource Intergration Gear." Explained Isaac. "The spine portion of the suit monitors my health. If something were to hit me the bar would go from green to yellow to red. If it goes beyond red that means I'm dead. Most models are just the spine and holograms. Because of my work environment, I've got a full body suit." Isaac continued to explain his RIG. "I've got extra stuff like armor, grav boots, zero gravity thrusters, radiation protection, Geiger counter, and an internal oxygen supply. It also comes with Kinesis and Stasis modules. The Stasis module allows me to slow an object down in front of me and the Kinesis model allows to "grab" certain objects and cause them to hover in front of me. It makes the object weigh almost nothing so it can be moved easily."

"Where do I get a suit like that?" Harleen asked with a smile "The only thing it's missing is a cup holder!"


"Not as good as moving things with your mind. I know people that can do that." Mirus butted in "How does it work?" She asked curiously


As the car continued, Mirus sighed deeply as she looked at the sun setting. She took the car off road and into some nearby woods.


"Who wants to take the first watch?" She asked


"Not it." Harley butted in instantly


"I am Groot." Groot spoke


"He volunteers as tribute!" Harley shouted, pointing at the living tree.

Isaac laughed at Harleen's statement. "If we ever got to my universe, you would probably get a more basic model. I'm a engineer and my job required it." He said. Isaac then said to Mirus. "I don't mind taking the first watch. I got some sleep earlier." Then he explained how Kinesis worked. "From a pad on my palm, I can project a tube of white energy. This tube is an artificial gravity field. Once it grabs an object, it's gravity is nullified and drawn towards me. It stays suspended mid air in front of me till I drop it. Alternatively its polarity can be reversed to throw the object."

Shiki and Len silently listened to everyone. Both of them have faced peculiar situations before, but this was in a league of its own. They were on Earth, but apparently one which belonged to a different universe, and the people around them even belonged to different planets and timelines. This made Shiki feel so small.

Archer felt a disturbance through space. As he rushed near the source of it, he saw the rift. ''I belive we have a problem'' he said to the others. He materialized the twin blades Kanshou and Bakuya, as he prepared for the worst.

Mirus continued to study Isaac's suit with her eyes as he explained it. She turned to Shiki and recognized the look in his eyes. She had seen it before, many times. She had even seen it when others had discovered her true species and knew that others, such as the Librarian had seen it in her own eyes. She thought back to the things she had seen, even before the tears opened and sighed.


Max recognized the look too and approached Shiki, with Bishop at his side "You alright?" He asked.


"Does the tube of white energy pump out like toothpaste?" Harley asked Isaac with a grin.

Syeron drew her lightsaber and activated it while Mil raised it's rifle. From the tear stepped a small platoon of Uruk Hai, all armed with blades.


"State your name, species and intention." Mil commanded "Stand down."


The Uruk Hai glanced at each other before charging at the group. Syeron pushed several of them back as Mil opened fire, aiming for their legs.

"It's nothing like that." Said Isaac. "Let me show you an example." He looked around for something to grab and settled on a can peeking out of Crane's backpack. Isaac's hand and the can glowed white. A thine white tube was connecting them. The tube looked more like strands of string and not toothpaste. The can quickly floated over to Isaac. Crane tried to grab it out of the air but failed. "I'm going to need that back." He said. It floated in front of Isaac's hand and he deactivated kinesis. Isaac caught the can and passed it back to Crane. "See?" Said Isaac to Harleen. "Nothing like toothpaste."

Revan: Gathering his strength, Revan unleashed a huge telekinetic push with the Force on the force of Uruk Hai and knocked all of them back into one of the sand dunes. Afterwards, he drew one lightsaber and ignited its green blade.


"Syeron, let's try to keep at least a few alive. I sense their feeble minds could give us information as to what they are."

''Oh, nothing's wrong, really. I was just thinking about how vast the whole of existence is, and how small I really am'' said Shiki. Len simply sat near him in her cat form. She didn't answer Harley's older question regarding which form she prefered, because she never really gave it any thought. She merely tilted her head from one side to the other.

Archer didn't bother to go all out, so he simply moved at supersonic speeds and slashed quite a few of the creatures with his twin blades. ''This event regarding the rifts is bigger than I belived it would be'' he thought.

"Instead of unicorns you have creepy space zombies and instead of toothpaste you have can stealing abilities...You've done nothing but disappoint me, Issac." She sighed as Max continued to speak to Shiki. "We're all dust specs in the grand scheme of things." Max replied sarcastically "We have those Unknown bastards running around, controlling things with a stick up their arse. I try not to let it bother me. Bishop and me only focus on what we can actually control."

Mil continued aiming for the knees of the Uruk Hai, having taken Revan's idea on board earlier while Syeron nodded in response to the Jedi's words "I feel kinda bad for them, with faces as ugly as that." She shrugged as she threw one Uruk Hai to the side using the force, causing him to hit a nearby rock and fall unconscious.

Shiki nodded. Max was right, he didn't need to think of things that were out of his control. He and Len just needed to do their best. The mention of some particular entities caught Shiki's attention, though. ''Excuse me, but who are you talking about when you say Unknown?'' he asked.

Archer was getting annoyed by the barbaric Uruk Hai. As one of them tried to attack him, he simply let the orc-like creature hit him with his sword. The sword didn't cut Archer, much less penetrate his skin. Another one tried to punch him, but it didn't do anything either. An attack which could destroy a tall building was needed, if they truly wanted to harm Archer. ''Are you creatures that stupid? Can't you see the difference in strength?'' asked Archer, as he punched one of the Uruk Hai and sent the beast flying. Kanshou and Bakuya were not needed against such opponents.

Max chuckled in response "You're lucky you haven't met any of those bastards yet. Three people who have a lot of power who run around getting sorry buggers like us to do their dirty work. I was doing a job for one of them before I ended up here. Got tossed through a tear by a creature."


"What kind of power?" Mirus asked


"I mean they can bend reality." Max replied "Don't know how and I try not to let it bother me." With one final shrug Max leaned back and began to drift off to sleep with Bishop sleeping at his feet.


Mirus, Jim and Groot took the second watch as Isaac and the others slept.


"I am Groot." Groot whispered, gesturing to something approaching them from the darkness. Jim appeared on edge and Mirus raised her rifle at the figure. She then lowered it with a sigh as The Librarian approached. With a grin and a snap of his fingers his appearance changed to that of Gregory Nelson. He grinned at Mirus before bursting into flames.


"This is a fancy way of me telling ya that he's dead." He grinned, speaking in Gregory's voice You want to see 'im alive again, you'll continue your mission. The clock is ticking so you'd better get to Washington as fast as ya can." With another snap of his fingers he disappeared.


"Groot. Continue the watch." Mirus muttered coldly. He reached out a hand only for her to push it away, leaving Jim with Groot and walking deeper into the woods.


After she was half a mile away from the car, Mirus holstered her rifle and shapeshifted back into her Curabitur self. She leaned against a tree as a group of ten walkers shuffled towards her. She drew her swords and screamed, pushing several Walkers to the ground with her telekinesis before lunging at them and decapitating each Walker one by one. In her mind she pictured every single Walker as The Librarian with his smug grin. Two more Walkers remained and while Mirus decapitated the first, she holstered her swords for the remaining Walker.


Mirus sighed and concentrated on the Walker, it stopped in it's tracks as Mirus began to tear it apart. Blood spewed from the Walker's mouth, ears and nose as Mirus proceeded to tear it in half with one final scream. She leaned against a tree, knowing that at this point someone would have been woken up by the screams, changed into "Beth" and proceeded to walk back to the car.

As the final Uruk Hai was brought to it's knees, Mil began to gather up those still alive for interrogation. It approached on Uruk Hai and raised a gun to it's head.


"You will tell us everything you know. What are you and who do you serve?"


"Sauron!" The Uruk snapped before grinning at Mil "There's an entire army of us just beyond that portal."


Syeron approached the Uruk and gently waved a hand in front of it's face "Are you telling the truth?" She asked


"Yes!" It shouted with a grin "I can't wait until Sauron gets a hold of you! Watching you die slowly will be fun!"

''Reality warpers, huh? They sound stronger than the Aristoteles from my world. Considering the scale at which they opperate, they are most likely at the peak of the multiversal food chain'' thought Shiki, before going to sleep.


Shiki and Len woke up because of the screams. Len shifted to her human form and assumed something which looked like a fighting stance. She knew someone was approaching. Shiki stood up and brought out his knife. He was ready to battle, if necessary. Neither of them noticed that Mirus wasn't there.

Archer walked near the Uruk Hai which was subdued and smiled cruely. ''Are all the members of your army as weak as you guys?'' he asked, mockingly. ''Because if that is so, they will merely suffer the same fate as you did. Numbers mean nothing when individual power is equal to zero'' he added, on a cold tone.

Crane's eyes opened at the sound of the screams. He noticed others getting up. He stood up and grabbed his sword. "Loud noises tend to draw attention." He thought.


Isaac's helmet formed around his face as he got up. Isaac picked up his plasma cutter and looked around. He loaded a fresh clip into his plasma cutter. "Does anyone know where the screaming came from?" He asked.

Mirus approached the car with her hands raised


"What the hell happened?" Max asked


"There was a woman in the woods. I tried to help her but she got bit and I put her out of her misery." Mirus lied, showing her bloodstained swords to the group. Harleen was able to see through the lie immediately but said nothing, simply nodding with a sympathetic look in her eyes. Jim approached Mirus again and rested on her shoulder.

"You have not met Sauron himself!" The Uruk snapped "He will grind all of you into dust!"


"He can try." Syeron smirked "If he's anything like you..."


"He has returned from death! He laughs in the face of it!" The Uruk snapped


Syeron stepped away from the Uruk and approached Revan while Mil walked towards the creature, holding it's rifle to it's head.


"I take it you have heard the legend of Darth Plagueis?" She asked, whispering so that the Uruk could not hear her
