Killerclown
Two Thousand Club
Name: Colonel Benjamin Wilkins
Universe of Origin: OC
Starting Location: London
Abilities:
Supernatural Good Luck: As a result of his background as a 30s comedy-mystery movie star, Benjamin has seemingly supernatural good luck. This good luck seems to mainly manifest when Benjamin has no idea he is in danger. For example, he would be navigating a hall, looking for clues, and a crook would be hiding behind a painting, ready to club him. However, this ability would cause him to suddenly bend over and tie his shoe, causing another goon sneaking up on him to get clobbered instead. However, this ability is only truly effective when he has no idea he is in danger, or if it comedic fitting.
Expert Detective: Despite his age, and slight senility, Benjamin is a very skilled detective. He is great at observing a room and finding hidden details no one else would. He also has a keen eye for detail, remembering a small, seemingly insignificant detail that seemed useless before, but becomes very important later.
Fisticuffs: Benjamin is still a decent brawler for his age, though he is only really good at fighting thugs. Most superhuman foes will probably beat him easily.
Equipment: The Colonel is almost never seen without his trusty magnifying glass and pocket watch on his person.
Personality: Colonel Benjamin Wilkins is a very polite, genial man. He is very pleasant in conversation, always insisting in using proper etiquette when talking to anyone. He is quite proud of his "glory days" in the British Military, and will talk about stories from his military days for hour. He is quite bombastic and surprisingly energetic for his age, and has even been known to get over people hyped up just from a "inspired speech."
Unfortunately, The Colonel has become quite senile over the years. He can be quite oblivious and naive at times, often not seeing danger unless it's right in front of his face. He is also a horrible liar, and will almost always tell the truth, and when he does lie, it's almost always easy to see through. He is currently having a hard time adapting to this "new-fangled" world, and all it's challenges. This brings out his fiery temper, especially when handling technology. He is also quite stubborn and set in his ways, and will often refuse to change anything he does, even if it's for his own good.
Backstory: Colonel Benjamin Wilkins is a character from a series of mystery-comedy series from the 30s. Wilkins in the movies is a brilliant, but quite senile former British Military colonel living in 1907 Great Britain. The Colonel may have been retired from military work, but he continued his adventures as a amateur detective, using his brilliance, and his uncannily good look, to solve crimes. His cases took him to all corners of the world, and has brought him into contact with the worst criminals imaginable. But, the worse was Major Vasquez, a Spanish Mercenary and criminal mastermind, and Wilkins' arch-enemy. Recently, The Colonel found himself in Modern Times, and in a different universe. As he struggles to adapt to this new world, he also has to deal with Major Vasquez, who has followed him to this new world and is planning more devious schemes, with new, even deadlier agents to aid him.
