Saoirse raised an elegant eyebrow at Lidija. Her piercing silver-blue orbs stared at the other girl curiously before she had to hide a very unladylike snort at the poor joke. Her lips twitched slightly before she shrugged. Considering her status she wasn't too worried about the professors making a deal out of it. They could try but her family was not one to take lightly and honestly, she wasn't going to be caught dead wearing that 'tacky' uniform the school had. It just drove her Nuts! "Name's Saoirse - and you are?"

Well that was a failure.

"Well it looks good." Victor commented on Yara's hair and then looked back at Emil. "I guess I came in too strong as gringos say. I will leave you two to continue your conversation." Victor gave them a firm nod and began to walk away.

He knew better than to ask someone for their name a second time. If they didn't give it after her presented himself, then there was no need to push it further. Besides, that Emil at least said hello even though Victor couldn't help but feel a bit threatened at that moment. The white haired girl was interesting. Maybe next time he could talk to her and not bleached Criss Angel.

Victor's eyes scanned the area once more. The food table was a no, that weird old man was still there. There were two girls talking it out, including the one he saw before, but he was not interrupting another conversation. Plus, one of them looked really sassy. Then he saw an interesting individual. Some girl that was in a corner away from everyone. Bingo.

"Is the phone being mean to you? You know you can tell it to tell you jokes." Victor spoke up as he approached the egyptian princess. "I look like a waiter with all this food, but I was told that it is easier to approach a new friend with an offering and a smile." He held up his tray full of appetizers and smiled. "My name is Victor Arturo the third. But friends call me Victor."

Emerald green orbs lifted from the floor as a voice filtered into her awareness. Her eyes narrowed as she studied Victor carefully. She had just finished her snacks anyway, it might not be a bad idea to take the male up on his offer. The foot propped against the wall set down delicately as Ainara gave a slight tilt of her head. "Aina." She spoke quietly, her accented tone making it slightly difficult to hear the name as she took an offering from the plate.

Ainara wasn't one for friends, she was a royal.. and the head of the clan she ran. She was not supposed to be taking on allies... especially since many chose not to interact with her ... under the Ivory Wraith persona anyway. Most knew the name Ivory Wraith - none knew Ainara the Egyptian Princess, nor did they know the nickname Aina. She could actually pull this off most likely. Ugh - she hated her parents for sending her here...

“It was written on your papers,” Iliriana admitted. “You’ll want to pick those up from the office sometime soon, preferably before class starts.” She studied his extended hand for a moment in surprise, not because of its appearance but because the respect her new colleague offered her felt almost unfathomable. There was something genuine about him beyond his stiffness, something in his character that set him apart from the average mafiosi prowling the room, those ruthless beasts she had grown accustomed to interacting with and taking orders from. Had it not been for the circumstances of their meeting, she might have thought he was just an ordinary citizen, but such assumptions were deadly at an institution laden with criminal activity.

With a gentle exhale, the dark-haired woman’s almond-shaped eyes suddenly flicked upward. Although her gaze was stern, an underlying hint of sympathy emerged as she locked eyes with the Portuguese man and nodded. “Adán? It’s a pleasure to meet you. The name’s Iliriana,” she declared, accepting his handshake with a firm, confident grasp, “...Miss Iliriana Makolli.”

She let her name sink in for a moment as she studied his face—that is, until she became uncomfortably aware that her hand remained clutching onto his the entire time. Realizing she should have let go sooner, Iliriana quickly loosened her grip and let her fingers slip away. Her eyes drifted from Adán’s face, and she stared off into the distance, her gaze intentionally wandering around the room in search of Ratko as she avoided eye contact with the professor for the time being. But she continued to speak to him as if nothing unusual had happened between them.

“I know your pain,” Iliriana replied with another nod. “Where I’m from no longer exists. You won’t find it on any map—not at this school, anyway,” she joked, a sting in her voice, nevertheless. “…Does that narrow it down enough for you, Dr. Criado?” Iliriana wondered out loud with a curled lip. Any more specific and she feared that she might draw unwanted attention to herself and Ratko.

ADÁN CRIADO
Location: Assembly Hall

"You read up on me," Adán chuckled, "At least you are honest."

The pause that preceded their handshake allowed a moment's reflection. He studied Illiriana. There was a certain intelligence about her. This, coupled with the prideful (albeit perhaps elevated) opening speech from the headmaster, put him at ease. The school took its duties seriously. It was a committed institute. He could appreciate a place like this, so long as the other professors were of similar disposition.

"It is a pleasure." He sealed the handshake with the jagged edges of his skin, mirroring her nod, "Miss Illiriana Makolli."

He offered a reassuring smile as she slipped her fingers away. She had a curious way. A charming awkwardness; A shifting focus. But equally, the layer of self-assured confidence did not go amiss.

"No?" He queried. His low-set brows flinched as he thought on her clue. But admittedly, he was perhaps as ignorant as the rest. Any serious attempt at an answer would surely fail, for his exposure to other cultures and countries was finite. However, there was always his background in science. Where she was from no longer existed. Not on any map. He primed his remark with the grin of a jester, "Pluto, then. Always wanted to visit."

Pluto? Well, that was a new one. Iliriana pursed her lips tightly together, her shoulders quivering ever so slightly as she tried to stifle the reaction that threatened to escape her. But when Adán presented her with his whimsical grin and the suggestion of wanting to visit the distant dwarf planet, she couldn't stop a gentle fit of laughter from slipping out. The Kosovar quickly covered her mouth with the tips of her silk-gloved fingers as if to apologize for the sudden outburst and quirked her brow curiously.

“You’re just so full of surprises, now aren’t you?Iliriana exhaled. “No, Dr. Criado. Yugoslavia,” she corrected him with a playful eyeroll, fully in on the joke. Rather than take offense, the dark-haired woman brushed it off with a lighthearted sigh. She had brought it upon herself after all. Besides, he wasn’t entirely wrong.

She might as well have been from another planet, given how disconnected she felt growing up in a place where she held no real sense of identity. As a member of the former nation’s Albanian minority group, she couldn’t even call herself a Yugoslav. It felt so wrong—and she wouldn’t have wanted to anyway, not even if she were of Slavic descent. For Iliriana, Yugoslavia was a bitter memory of the past: a place that had brought her nothing but pain, its conflicts leaving her as a refugee with no family and nowhere to truly call home, caught up in the limbo of organized crime. She didn’t belong to Yugoslavia, or her lover Ratko's Serbia for that matter. But after all these years, she couldn’t bring herself to return to Kosovo. Not even for a visit.

“Though I bet Pluto was a nicer place to live,” she commented with a shrug. “Probably warmer too.”

Lidija absorbed all the attention like a sponge, wide-eyed and sparkling.

“Nice to meet you, Saoirse! I’m Lidija!” The Serb exclaimed with a grin, sticking her tongue out playfully as she cocked her head to the side and flashed her own cute variation of the peace sign. “From Serbia, if you know where that is! Hehe!” She relaxed her thumb and proceeded to give Saoirse an over-exaggerated three-fingered salute, almost as if she were poking fun at herself. With her other hand, Lidija snatched a schlumbergerli from the table and took a bite out of it. “How pissed do you think the teachers would get if someone started a food fight?” Lidija wondered in between mouthfuls of bread as she scanned the room for potential targets.

"Yugoslavia." The grin that dug at his cheeks was squashed by sincere surprise. If he was full of surprises, she was overflowing with them. As far as Adán was aware, this was a country that was genuinely extinct. "You weren't kidding. Rings a bell though. A distant, barely audible bell. But a bell, nonetheless." The country was probably uttered once or twice in a past Geographical class. Beyond that, he knew very little of it.

Living on Pluto. He blew air into his cheeks, "On the contrary, you'd freeze on Pluto. Not only freeze, but a single jump, and you'd be trampolined into the air. You'd be a floating block of ice. But then again, I'd never been to Yugoslavia. What do I know? Perhaps your mother's womb was an igloo."

Adán snickered, tapped Iliriana on the arm. "Only kidding. I'll stop tormenting you."

"Ana?" Victor looked a bit surprised. He expected a much more exotic name than Ana. But, he could defintely fix that.

"May I call you Anita? I know, none Spanish speakers think that adding a diminutive to a name makes it seem that you look down on them. But! In my case, it is to show I am friendly. Friends, they tend to have nicknames for each other. Of course, I see you as someone interesting and mysterious and would like nothing more than to form a bond between us. So, in order to take that first step, I thought, why not give each others nicknames?"

Victor smiled proudly at the bs that came out of his mouth. Sometimes he wondered where he came up with half the stuff he said. "If it is not to your liking then I will simply call you Ana, as your parents intended to. Of course, if you have a suggestion for what to call me, I am all ears. For how can one man not be able to listen to whatever it is you have to say. I don't know why, but I can see in your eyes... something special."

The cartel member nodded slowly as he squinted his eyes a bit while looking into Ainara's. "I imagine there is an amazing story behind your silence and if I may, I would like to be around you to hear every single part of it. Even if it takes ten thousand years of waiting, I am sure it is worth the wait."

The princess rolled her eyes slightly, her lips twitching slightly as she tried to hide the laugh that was wanting to escape her mouth. This girl was something else, very bubbly and energetic, the complete opposite of her more reserved and quiet air. Saoirse shrugged as she snagged a delicacy she spotted from her home country - her eyes flashing with excitement as she scored a Pavlova. A sweet treat from Australia which was her absolute favorite thing ever (then again the girl had a sweet tooth and a hint of a mischievous side). "I would say you are crazy, but then again.... I don't know the professors well."

Piercing green orbs flashed dangerously as Victor dared to give her a nickname other than the one she preferred and the leader of the Jarushi clan had to bite her tongue to keep the violent urge to scold at bay. "Aina is not ana. But you do you." Her voice was cold as she raised a delicate eyebrow, her arms crossing as she leaned further away, piercing gaze studying Victor warily as the cartel member stared into her orbs. "I don't share with unknown people. You'll have to work harder than that if you are trying to flirt." Her tone was slightly amused as she shrugged her shoulders, flicking her ebony hair behind her shoulder as she sighed.

Her long nail tapped against the glass in her hand absently, her green gaze studying the room before returning to Victor before her. Her body was tense as she studied him, wondering if the male had any other... intentions. "I am no one special." Well, that was a straight-up lie if you ever asked her. She was the secret head of a famous clan residing in Egypt and not only that but she was the queen-to-be and heiress to the royal family there. Of course, she was something special, not only with her skills but also her fondness for diplomatic approaches.

Yara waited until Victor had moved off slightly before stepping back out from where she had placed Emil between her and the friendly Mexican. "Well he's going to be an interesting addition this year" Yara spoke in a light-hearted tone. "Especially since I'm guessing he's a cartel kid" She speculated at Emil, using the opportunity to roll the idea around in her head nodding slightly at how it fit the situation.

Yara let a companionable silence settle over them for a moment as she cast her mind back to what they were talking about before the friendly Mexican appeared. "
How worried do I need to be about this red number then? Will I at least manage to get to first Exeat before I need to break out the eye bleach" she teased, a smile much more present in her voice than her face, she still remembered the number of times that she had to cover for Emil last year when he had an amorous liaison.
She let her eyes drift around the hall, by now the majority of the teachers had dispersed, likely enjoying their last freedom before classes, but notably a few remained: the headmaster was in one corner by the canape's table talking in a low voice to some of the parents and two new teachers that she didn't recognise seemed to be having an animated discussion. Victor appeared to have engaged one the princess in what Yara was imagining as a very one sided situation wile the other two girls that she noticed earlier appeared to be having a much more regular conversation. Yara looked up at Emil before nodding towards the two by the table "
Should we go and be sociable?"

"Aina?" Victor looked a bit surprised for a second but his smile was plastered on his face once more. "Foolish of me to think such a beautiful creature would have a simple name like Ana. I truly apologize. I brag about paying attention and ruined the first word you said to me. My apologiez."

He then shook his head slowly and chuckled a bit. "Now, I will have strongly disagree with you on that. You're not special? My lady, if you are simply standing in this school, then you are defintely special. Now, I am guilty for attempting to flirt with you, it is my natural reaction to someone as interesting as you. But if I were to put that aside, I am also looking to make allies." Victor took a moment to eat a small snack. "You see. There is no need to make enemies here, not in such an international place. On the contrary, we should be doing the opposite."

"Have you ever been to Mexico, Aina? Let me tell you. Visitng Mexico as a tourist is great, but when you mix with her people, that is when you truly appreciate her beauty. Like you. I am sure many people see you and are taken back by your natural beauty, but until they get to really know you, that is where the real treasure is. But, my father says, everything is a business."

Victor smirked and took another second to enjoy a taste treat. "So if I want to know about you, it is only fair you know about me. I will not pressure this though, I do not want to be... em... fastidioso? Annoying! That's the word. I do not want to be annoying. Whatever rhythym you want to dance to, trust me I can follow. So how about we stick to together at least for this moment, this way you do not have other weirdos like me trying to flirt with you. What do you say?"

Emil Jr.
Emil nodded.

“Definitely a cartel brat,” he said. “My father loathes them, though that doesn’t stop him from sucking up to them for jobs. He did a few jobs when I was… eleven, I think? Stashed me in a hotel while he worked.”

He didn’t mention that his father had shown him how to slice a man apart during their time there.

Emil laughed.

“It’s a hell of a thing,” he said, remembering the glittering red short shorts and black crop top with “CUTIE” emblazoned in crimson on the front. “The boys will need a defibrillator after seeing me in it.”

He definitely wanted to hit the town in it sometime.

“But of course, darling!” Emil said in an exaggerated fifties voice, offering his elbow to Yara.

Iliriana shook her head, pushing the memory away. “But not my mother… She would have melted the coldest of hearts with her kindness had they given her a chance,” Iliriana muttered defensively below her breath. Her arm tensed briefly at Adán's sudden and playful touch, then gradually relaxed when she realized they would be moving on from the current conversation before it could get any more uncomfortable. Iliriana jumped at the opportunity to change the subject, almost a bit too enthusiastically.

“Teach?” She blurted out as she shook her head at Adán’s question. “I’m stuck in the office most days. “Hey, Saoirse…” Lidija began, “You think I could pelt that guy in the ass from over here with this bread roll? —Hypothetically, I mean,” she quickly added as she gestured toward Emil Sr. While it would be funny, Lidija feared that doing so would give her father a reason to stick around the school even longer. Ainara narrowed her deep green gaze, tapping her nails against her leg slightly. Her eyes flashing to her phone in her hand before she groaned softly and shrugged - may as well give the poor guy something to satisfy his... curious streak. Besides she didn't have to say if she was the Head of her clan, she could just say which clan she was from and call it a day. A slight tilt of her head decided her actions as she smirked slightly. Mischief and mayhem clear in her gaze before she raised herself to her full height (a bit more daunting considering her added height from her shoes). "I am Ainara. Aina to anyone who dares call me nicknames and I am from the Jarushi Clan." Her accented voice was clear and calm as she spoke. Chances of him hearing about her from her work in Jarushi might be slim - as most know her as the Ivory Wraith... but it is always best to tread carefully considering this one... he was... an unknown. An uncommon affiliation as the interactions with ... his kind ... were pretty negative anyway. The heiress raised a delicate eyebrow, waiting to see his reaction - she may be a royal-in--hiding and the secret head of the clan she ran...but she was sent here under her *shudders* parent's request so she may as well cause mayhem.

"Ainara?" Victor cracked a smile at the sight of the girl standing up straight. "And here I thought, your name could not become more beautiful. But I am a daring devil, so I will risk my life by calling you Aina, if that is okay with you."

Victor had completely forgotten about the tray of food he was holding, but there was nowhere to set it down besides the floor so he instinctly held on to it. "Jarushi Clan? I have never heard of it. But, if you are involved in it, then I am willing to learn its entire history. I am from the Knight Templars. We are, you could say, popular in the Americas. I have to admit, our reputations is very violent. Do not fear, I am sure everyone here is the same, we just built fame around it."

Victor offered his free hand. "It is an honor to meet someone so interesting. It is like exploring unknown waters. I can see the treasure in your eyes, yet I have a feeling that it might kill me to try and get closer." Victor chuckled to himself and shook his head. "Oh if only my mother had not raised a coward. You are... what is the right word... intriguing? What I am trying to say to you, I cannot wait to get to know more about you." He took a quick look around, trying to locate where to leave the tray of food on his hand.

"I am going to leave this at the table, would you like anything? Some cheese? Something to drink? A date with an exotic Mexican cartel member?" He raised one eyebrow playfully.

The people. A spritely chuckle danced around such a hollow statement, and his danced alongside it. The hidden depth of the remark slipped through like butter. Though, a passion for her mother's resolve shone from her core. There was a darkness about Iliriana when she attested to it; Something quietly intimidating. Adán offered a nod, coupled with a smile that tightened by an instinctive level of caution.

Little time was offered to think-over Illiriana's office duties, whatever those might be. Diverting to the buffet, it was a breath of fresh air to see such a lack of starved dogs drooling all over the draped tablecloths now. Of course, the majority had stomached just about enough to burst their intestines, but thankfully he was a researcher and not a clinician. That would be their own problem to bare. Though, he had to admit, the aroma that lifted from the selection of foods was pleasant enough to very nearly morph him into a loyal member of their pack.

"If you don't mind me saying," He commented quietly, close to Iliriana as he picked a ceramic plate from the stack. Here, he paused for reflection, and picked his words carefully, "Your mother sounds like a powerful soul."

Noticeably fewer students swarmed around the buffet, making it easy for Iliriana and Adán to walk straight up to the table for a closer look at the various platters of hors d'oeuvres laid out for them and the other guests. Iliriana froze in place as her colleague reached for a plate and began to speak in a hushed tone. What he had to say threw her completely off guard. She cast him a quick sideways glance but said nothing, her eyes narrowing suspiciously.

What drove him back to the subject of her mother? What did he hope to gain from the discussion? The notion was strange to her, and yet she felt an urge to tell him more. Just enough to tease his curiosity without revealing much of anything. Some might consider it flirting, but to Iliriana, it was just business as usual. Besides, if he were as nosy about her as the men she served over the years as a waitress, keeping silent would only encourage further pestering or make him suspect that she was hiding valuable information from him when she wasn’t.

After a long pause, Iliriana shook her head. “…She was,” the dark-haired woman finally agreed, her gaze softening as she stared down briefly at the stack of white plates before picking one up with her gloved hands and guiding Adán’s attention once more to the buffet in front of them. “And she would have been upset watching all this food get cold because the two people it was currently meant for were far too focused on each other.” The Kosovar gave him a weak smile before turning away to pick up a pair of tongs so that she could start serving herself.

A soft laugh erupted from Saorise, her eye widening slightly in shock as it had been ages since she had managed to laugh and mind you so carefree as she was now. "I mean - I would say your aim and your strength have got to be pretty good. So if you had to go with Hypothetically speaking - I'd say Hypothetically you could definitely hit him." Her eyes sparkled with mischievous intent as she grinned at the Serb before her.

Lidija’s grin grew even wider. It had been awhile since someone around her age had found her antics amusing.

"You really think so?” she gasped in excitement, surprised to hear such positive reinforcement coming from another individual. Normally she would have been scolded for her plans, hypothetical or not, but then again, her bodyguards back in Belgrade weren’t particularly keen on getting blamed whenever her mischief took a turn for the worst. “So hypothetically, it would hit him then if I aimed it at him like this?” she asked pretending to toss the roll along an invisible trajectory. “Or do you think it would it be more accurate like this?”

For the second demonstration, Lidija leapt in place into an overexaggerated pitcher stance and whipped her arm violently forward, but in doing so, lost her grip around the spherical baked good. Lidija clasped both hands against her mouth in surprise and slowly slunk behind Saoirse as the roll went launching into the air. "Oops..."

Yara gave a playful shudder at Emil's explanation of the outfit, clearly he hadn't found a partner over summer, she foresaw more of the year attempting to cover up his various liaisons. On the upside it at least presented lot's more opportunities to extort more favours out of Emil.

She gave a quick glance down towards Emil's Elbow before glancing around the room. She could probably deal with the contact but with all the people it could set a bad precedent, and if it was anyone in this room but Emil it would be intolerable. Giving Emil an apologetic look she moved her hands so that they were clasped behind her back before turning and starting to head towards Lidija and Saoirse. "So have you picked any new electives this yee..........." She started to talk to Emil, quizzically watching as the young Serbian gesticulated, suddenly she trailed off as her mind connected the dots just in time to see the roll sail out of her hands.

Yara immediately pivoted on her foot to look at Emil while keeping Sr in her view. "Will we need to get involved in this?" Yara dropped her voice to a near whisper, She was pretty sure that Emil Sr wouldn't do anything that would risk the fragile peace that kept Tarasp operating but that doesn't mean that he couldn't or wouldn't put the fear of god into that poor girl. Eyes racing around the room she continued "If you don't want to directly intervene there are still 2 teachers who could help." Yara's shoulders were set for action, it was clear that no matter what Emil decided if his father made a move Yara would intervene.

Emil Sr.

The roll bounced off the back of his platinum blonde head, and Emil Sr. reacted with typical violence. He grabbed a knife from a hidden sheathe, and whipped around.

“Who did that?!” he demanded.

The assassin pointed the knife at random people, black fury etched into his pale, sharp, dangerous face. His blue eyes were narrow and inhuman, his lips twisted into a snarl.

“Step forward, and let me chastise you,” he spat furiously. “The longer you make me wait, the worst it will be for you."

Yara immediately pivoted on her foot to look at Emil while keeping Sr in her view. "Will we need to get involved in this?" Emil Andersen Jr.
Emil stared with wide-eyed horror at his raging father, paralyzed. He was all-too-familiar with what Emil Sr. could do. He wore more than one scar from his father’s wrath. How could he face his father?

“I..."

He remembered the last time his father had turned his rage on him. His ribs still ached.

He could remember the sensation of drowning as his father shoved his face into icy water.

“I can’t,” he whispered, distraught. “I can’t."

Saoirse coughed into her hand gently, her eyes widening as she watched the roll (almost as if in slow motion) fly through the air to hit Emil Sr. Her laugh got cut off as she turned wide eyes to Lidija. The princess of Australia quickly sagged a glass of something from the table, drinking it to hide her amusement as she fought to keep her expression neutral. The girl quickly kept her head down and smirked behind the glass of whatever drink she had grabbed (honestly she wasn't positive anyways but hey it hid her expression so why not?) "Were you trying to cause chaos?" She asked in amusement, her tone obviously light with good humor as she risked a glance at the girl now hiding behind her.

The head of the Jarushi clan had just taken a sip of a drink in her hand before she had to inhale suddenly. Her pretty gaze widened as she coughed softly. The audacity of the boy in front of her! Never before had anyone dared approach her in such a blatant manner. Ever! The pretty girl gave a soft clearing of her throat as she raised an eyebrow at Victor, her lips twitching just slightly. "You are most likely one of the boldest people I have ever met. You realize most would at least wait a few days before going off that deep end!" She scolded lightly, tone amused and sarcastic as she rolled her eyes heavenward for patience. Only to catch sight of the crazy happenings going on with Saoirse and Lidija. Watching the roll fly through the air, Aina had the urge to laugh before she caught herself and kept her lips straight.

“Who did that?!” came the outraged cry of a northern European deceived. Iliriana glanced up and saw the same gluttonous man from before, clearly agitated, but by what? Before she could investigate further, the headmaster hurriedly approached her and her new colleague with a request. His voice was calm and collected, yet over-projected for how close they were standing. It was almost as if he were trying to hide something from them. Iliriana leaned to one side curiously as she listened in on the conversation happening beside her.

The headmaster needed Adán to come quickly. Something about wanting to show the professor around the campus while the students were still confined to the assembly hall. Why not a bit later? Well, if they waited too much longer, they’d miss the perfect opportunity to organize the laboratory for the homeopathic pharmacology class to the professor’s liking. What? Did the professor want to stay up all night? Of course not! The headmaster finished with a chuckle and an animated gesture toward the door.

Iliriana’s eyes followed the two as they briskly exited the room. She sighed. That was NOT why they were leaving. The headmaster clearly had something else in mind. She could sense it in the way he had eagerly ushered Adán away. Iliriana was just glad that he hadn’t approached her for help instead.

"That poor soul..." she tutted sympathetically. Dr. Criado wouldn’t be back before the end of the festivities, that’s for sure. The headmaster would talk the poor man’s ear off. Nothing would get done.

A glint of silver suddenly caught the corner of her eye causing her focus to shift once more to the Nordic man, who swayed around furiously. Was he… threatening students with a knife? Who the hell did this man think he was and what was his problem? The Kosovar’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. His behavior was about as reckless as—

Lido.” An exasperated sigh forced its way out her nostrils as she uttered the dreaded nickname of her and Ratko’s child below her breath at the sight of the familiar young blonde ducking behind another student. Iliriana didn’t even need to guess what happened. The assumptions were already pouring in.

Without a second thought, the woman slammed her plate down against the table and dipped her hand into the black crossbody purse at her side and fished out her phone. She fired off a discrete text message and then briefly scanned the room for Ratko before dropping it back into its pocket.

It’s not even the first day of class and that girl is already hellbent on causing trouble, Iliriana thought with a scrutinizing glare as her watchful eyes trailed closely behind Emil Sr and his erratic but threatening hand gestures.

LockRocket requested for their character to be written out of the RP for the time-being due to unforeseen circumstances.

Ratko was scarfing down the remaining scraps on his daughter’s plate when a sudden vibration and a series of loud accordion trills startled him out of his seat. He fumbled around his belt, spilling bits of food everywhere as he attempted to unclip his cellphone from its hiding spot just above the hem of his black suit coat. After regaining his composure, he unlocked his phone and raised a puzzled brow at the text on the screen.

Ilja:
<Dođi odmah do stola.>
<Bez pitanja.>

“What could she possibly want at a time like this?” he wondered to himself in slight irritation, using a sticky crumpled napkin to brush away the crumbs that had accumulated on his business suit. As much as rendezvousing over a hearty meal fell within Ratko’s preferred criteria for a romantic night out, the thought of entertaining his mistress this evening on Lidija's special day dampened his spirits—that is, until his unrelated food fantasies took hold of him.

“Maybe she just wanted to inform me that they’ve restocked the salmon platter!” After all, his mistress knew how infatuated he was with salmon… well, eating it anyway. Salmon was his first love—No wait, that was his Lamborghini! Ratko corrected himself, nodding with satisfaction as he pictured its jet-black body. Or maybe even the fried carp that his wife prepared during the holidays. Mmm... Such tender, juicy flesh.

Although the reason was clearly none of the above (and even Ratko himself knew this to be the case), Iliriana’s message reminded him that he still hadn’t tried any of the desserts. With a renewed spirit, Ratko carefully returned the phone to his belt and then meandered on back to the buffet, his hands eagerly grasping onto the two empty plates held out in front of his chest.

🇷🇸 Dođi odmah do stola. = Come over to the table immediately.

“I swear it was an accident!” Lidija whispered to Saorise defensively, ducking even further behind her. “I wasn’t actually trying to fucking hit him. Weeeeeell, to be honest, it would have been pretty funny if it had bounced off his ass instead, buuuut I really didn't mean to throw anything at him at all.” The blonde adverted her gaze toward the ceiling, pretending to study the chandeliers. Maybe if she kept her eyes off the table the crazy man wouldn’t connect the dots and come after her.

A smile lit up on Victor's face. "I did not hear a no." He turned to walk towards the table and drop off the tray in his hand. But the sight of the old man from earlier getting angry and pulling out a knife made him regret his decision. "Besides, my mother did say, those who are afraid to live should not be born." He said as he turned back to face Aina. "It seems something is going on over there. I do not feel comfortable leaving such a beauty alone during a comossion. Not because you cannot take care of yourself, but because I would rather protect you with my body than watch you get hurt."

"If I am not mistaken, did you just laugh?" Victor raised an eyebrow with a cocky expression on his face. "For a second I thought it was the singing of angels but once I noticed it was you, I realized it was even better." The Mexican stood side by side, next to Aina instead of facing her now. He was watching the drama before them unfold. "Do you like the gambling? Whoever figures out what is going to happen next, gets to decide where our first date will be, deal?"

Victor smiled with confidence as he tried to think of the future development of the scenerio. "I am betting the old man will not figure out who was the culprit and will be escorted out by school staff."

Yara's mouth clenched thinning her mouth down to a thin line as she watched Emil's brain freeze up at the sight of his father. As much as she would like to comfort her friend now she couldn't as the ice cold creep of taught logic overtook her brain, it would not be an effective use of resources compared to saving a new student and potentially gaining a new contact. She gave Emil a controlled nod keeping her voice at a whisper "Try and get a teacher if you can if he goes towards violence I have no chance", the sentence should have been delivered with a wry smile but the corners of her mouth didn't twitch. Her part said she spun and began making a beeline towards the elder Andersen.

Thanks to her previous path it didn't take much to adjust her route to ensure that she would partially block Sr's path towards the young Serb. As she walked she tried to summon all of her normal authority, she had no comfort of ignorance about who she was about to face, all she had was a brief moment to regret that she was in her uniform rather than her normal dramatic coat. She came to a stop well outside of Emil Sr. blood circle hands clasped securely behind her back, eyes bright, stance wide and posture rigid.

"Mr Andersen" she spoke crisply and clearly, voice travelling easily over the silence that was rapidly spreading from the man's actions. "Such behaviour is unbecoming of The Snow Wraith" She took a steadying breath, hoping that calling out his professional persona might help prompt him to control his actions. "The teachers here are more than capable of dealing with unruly students, you don't need to involve yourself in this matter." Yara's control over her expression was iron clad preventing her from forming any expression, the only tell of her nerves was the slight shaking in one of her hands hidden from Emil behind her back.
