Zedekiah noticed how she looked disgusted by all of it. He felt a bit bad about it and scratched his head to think about it. '' Well, I don't mind you helping since we have 6 of them..but if you don't feel comfortable it's ok..'' he said shrugging with a lop sided smile. He took one of his knife and placed it in front of her, ''But it's good practise since finding the star isn't always going to be hotels and easy food.'' he trailed off, ''And you know..sometimes you have no choice. I don't always want to hunt and everything but sometimes it's required. There is no fish at night and veggies aren't really satisfying in my case.'' , he grabbed another knife and was about to skin the red horned rabbit but looked at Saphire, '' Sorry...I guess I'm just rambling.''

"I... know that. I truly do, that's why I can even say I understand the process..." She grabbed three of them, walking over to a flat rock nearby, trying not to turn green from touching them. She would prove that she could do this... even if she did puke at the end. Yes, she would... and he'd not feel soo.... oh, who was she kidding, she hated the very idea. But she'd said she'd do it, and do it she would! "Just... don't expect all the meat to be in there."

Zedekiah laughed and placed himself next to her. He placed his three horned rabbits on the rock and grabbed his knife, he looked at her and proceeded by explaining while doing every step all along. '' It's not too difficult. You have to remove the paws and the head first by cutting it sharp or just craking it... I'll do that step for you tho.'' Zed said turning around for her not to see him cutting the head. He then turned back and gave her the headless rabbit, '' All you will have to do is cut a line down the middle of the chest, from the head to the anus. Be sure not to cut into the abdominal cavity because if you do it will spoil the meat.'' he said chuckling a but,''Afterwards, just pull the skin back and pull all of the organs and Voila!'' he said showing her exactly what to do as he held the carcass, ''It's pretty easy don't you find? ''

Easy wasn't the problem. But Saphire nodded anyway, cutting the creature as she was told, taking out the innards, swallowing the bile that repeatedly forced it's way up she finished the job. "How was that, Zedekiah?" A small smile, shaky, her eyes now having cracks of the light-blue that was, at the moment, signalling her discomfort. "I didn't ruin the meat, did I?"

Zedekiah smiled and looked at the meat but it faded to an awkward one, '' Yeah...it's good..humm,let's throw that one and you could try again with this one.'' he said handing her the second one he had started. He took hers and threw it to river where all those cannibals fish were. He had looked up his book while hunter and figured out that they were the night fishes of the region. They only woke up during the evening, so tomorrow instead of hunting, he would fish for them. He finally finished skinning all of the meat, 3 out of the 6 that was left after showing her. He was faster than practically doing this everyday to eat.

Throw it out? Did I do something wrong? Still, she took the offered body and once more did it as he had asked, glad she'd pulled the sleve of the kimono up to her elbow before getting to work. Once more she sliced it, removed the guts, skinned the animal, and showed it to Zedekiah, this time not holding back as much bile, if only because she was not thinking about the animal whos life she was going to consume.

" Yup! That one you did it just right!'' Zedekiah said seeing that she didn't cut the guts making it spoil the meat. '' We got everything to cook them now!'' he said excitedly arranging everything to support the meat for it to cook and he washed his hand and sat in front of the fire wrapping his arms around his legs. '' So, tell me. Have you ever survived in the forest for more than a week?'' he asked out of curiosity looking at the creeping fire.

"Yes. It had been... four months, I believe, since I last was in a town before I met you." She looked down, blushing slightly and fingering her sleeves, yes, four months since she'd left on her journey. Purposely she'd chosen such a strange rout to travel, hoping to avoid as many of her people as possible. "Mostly I ate herbs and fruits I found on the road, I need little meat for my own body." Some, but not much, and fish was plenty for her.

Zedekiah leaning on his elbows behind his back, '' I've been living in the wilds for over two years..maybe three, I forgot. I learned all kind of ways to survive in any kind of temperatures and environment. I went to the southern Sharu and even to the Arun. If you want, tomorrow I'll make sure to fish instead.'' He proposed while taking out the meat cautiously. It was well roasted and looked more than delicious. He gave her one of them and bite on the other one he had in his hand.

She looked up at him sheepishly, "I just... am not used to ending the lives of innocent creatures." Fish, while creatures, were farther from her than the mammals like rabbits, after all. "You can hunt for what you wish, Zedekiah. I'll just be having fruit tomorrow anyway, as I'll have plenty of protein from today's meal." He needed it more than she did, obviously, if he hunted regularly.
