Taking Flight [Inactive]

Looks around and limps to a tree sliding down to a sitting position and my wings stop working just laying there with blood leaking out of them

Ali marches over to Deirk, bleeding from above her left ear when an arrow flew past and finely sliced the skin.

"What the hell, Deirk?! You don't threaten the Human! You run! You won't survive as alone, trust me!" Ali was yelling at Deirk. He started this, she thought.

"No, you shush," Ali growls at Deirk, "we would've been fine! Its not like we're helpless! We can fight, Deirk, you aren't the only one. Go get help from Celeste, I'm done with you."

Deirk didn't really deserve that, did he? Of course he did! We needed to kill all of them! Ali, you're talking to yourself again, Ali sighs, she really was going crazy.

Smirks "I'd rather just leave you guys with no battle scars..." smiles now and stands up and walks off "making my wings flap to carry me "I'm good."

"One, we aren't weak, Two, you have arrows imbedded in your skin and you shouldn't be flying! How stupid are you? Sit," Ali demands as she goes to fetch Celeste.

"Stupid," she mutters under her breath. Ali drags her fingers lightly over her ear to touch the cut. It felt like she got it ripped open a bit.

All the wondering in Maeve's mind ceased when she saw the bloodbath. These angels killed every last one of those six trained hunters with little effort, and they could have easily eluded the hunters.

Maeve grit her teeth in hatred. Another angel was near her, hovering, asking her to let him help.

She nodded, her head moving up and then moving down, sliding against the dirt.

Fine. She'd let them help. She'd let them think they could use her. And then she would wait until they let their guard down and she would kill every last one of them.

Ali had a scowl on her face as she walked up to the bleeding Human. She turned to Kio and sighed. "I didn't want to kill them, we didn't need to kill them. What if they had families? Kio why did Deirk do it? Why?" Ali was almost crying as she sat on the ground feeling helpless.

"Deirk!" Celeste stormed away from the battle field and up to the injured angel. "You arrogant, self-obsessed, moronic idiot! You could have gotten us all killed. There was absolutely no need for all this slaughter."

She glared fiercely, eyes flashing in rage.

"I don't know" Kio said sadly. He set to work on Maeve's body, first he gave her some herbs and huge doses of vitamin c for speedy recovery and to increase blood clotting speeds. He then carefully worked the arrow out and placed a his hand on the opening to prevent huge amounts of blood loss. He then applied some herbs to help the blood clot and bandaged her up. "Well... this is the best I can do. Get some rest and we'll see if it seems to improve.

I am so lucky I took medicine as one of my studies Kio thought as he stood up to examine the job he had done.

"I could fly her to a nearby cave, if she wished it." Celeste offered. "It would be warm and the tribal angels would not find her."

She wanted to get away from this place. Away from that stupid angel.

Maeve felt like her teeth would crack, she was gritting them so hard as the angel meticulously pulled the arrow from her body. The herbs he'd given her helped, but the pain was constant, and she was still freezing cold and felt like vomiting again.

Nodding weakly in reply his words, she settled in to the ground, enjoying the feel of the dirt on her back.

Ali watched as Kio played doctor and bandaged up the Human. She crawled over to the Human and sat down in front of her. "What's your name? And Kio, that might not be enough to keep her conscious," Ali said with a frown after she asked her question.

"It may be better if she goes out for a bit, it will certainly relieve some of the pain and let her body recover" Kio replied. "And to answer your Celeste it is best not to move her unless she is on a flat surface, so if you can get a stretcher or something that we can carry her on without having to disturb her too much than I think it will be better to get outta here."

"Yes because leaving her flat on the ground beside her dead friends is the best option right now." Celeste replied sarcastically.

"We can make a stretcher using sticks though."

Ali made a weird strangled noise as Celeste mentioned the dead men. "I'm gonna go find Deirk. And hit him, right in the nose."

And with that Ali flew off in search of that stupid Angel.

"Right" Kio said. Kio then set to work collecting sturdy sticks. He then used the rope he brought to make a sturdy enough stretcher to carry Maeve in. He then reached under Maeve's arms and waited for Celeste to grab her ankles.

The conversation registered in Maeve's mind on delay, a semi-consciousness clouding her cognitive ability.

"What.." She murmured, trying to move her arms. A strange confusion had come over her, clouding her mind. Sweat was starting to pool on her forehead, and chills ran up and down her body.
