Taking Flight [Inactive]

Maeve nocked another arrow and stepped around the angel. She eyed him with distrust, certain he would take hold of her and kill her as they had her brother the moment her back was turned.

Maeve released the arrow in answer, dropping her bow immediately after and drawing her dagger from its sheath, raising it point-first towards him.

Dodges the arrow and looks at you "You won't run? I promise you I will give you 30 seconds. I do not break a promise."

Maeve spat. His words meant nothing to her. But she saw Trenton stir behind the angel, returning to consciousness.

"What proof do you have that I should take you at your word?" Maeve said aloud, stalling for time.

Shrugs "I can kill you now or you can trust me for 30 seconds." smiles showing my teeth "So what will it be?"

Maeve lowered her dagger, behaving with resignation. "I'll... Can I really trust you?"

Trenton slowly took up his bow from the ground, silently getting to his feet.

"Then I will..." Maeve said, and lunged. At the same moment, Trenton drew back and released his arrow. The two attacks sped towards the angel at the same moment, from opposite sides.

Ali shrieked as the Human appeared, clearly wanting to hurt them.

She had switched over and flew up into a nearby tree and watched as the Human released an arrow on Deirk.

The angel moved like a blur, and Maeve barely had time to scream before Trenton's arrow pierced through her abdomen. The impact sent her back, falling to the ground, and pain clouded her vision with immediacy.

"Maeve! No!" She heard the lumbering fool call out. "I'm sorry! No...!"

Maeve grunted, turning over onto her side to stare hatefully at the witchcraft crow. So this is how I die..?

Drops down by her after killing her friend quickly so he feels no pain and looks at the arrow "I might be able to help you but you have to trust me."

Maeve watched Trenton's lifeless form in terror, images of her brother pervading her vision. How he fell like lightning from heaven... The bloodied heap upon the earth.

She felt bitter tears run down her cheeks. She grit her teeth, shaking her head at the angel. "I'd rather die than accept help from you, monster." The words came out with more trembling than she had intended. Perhaps she still feared death, fool that she was. Death will be a release.

Ali flew down and scratched Deirk's face, how dare he.

Ali switches over and leans over the injured Human.

Frowns upon her "Please..." a tear drops down to her from my face "Please don't say that... I... I didn't mean to kill him..."

The scuffle in the trees was impossible for Celeste to ignore. She shifted into angel form and unsheathed her bow and pulled out an arrow. Nocking her bow, she ran to the forest until she stumbled upon the strangest sight.

Ali leant over a human and Deirk was across the clearing, tears leaking down his face.

"What's going on?"

Maeve stared after the crow-angel in confusion. Didn't mean to kill him? It sure looked like he meant to.

More angels were flooding in, and crowding closer. Maeve grit her teeth, running her tongue against her canines as she considered biting it.

Kio just arrived at the right time to witness the fight and saw the girl lying in a bloodied heap on the floor. Kio ran to Celeste's side and stood there waiting for an answer from one the other angels.

"Deirk happened, that- UGH!" Ali said as she looked at the Human, now bleeding with an arrow protruding out from her abdomen.

"OK how am I gonna get this thing out?" Ali asked herself.

Ali nods at Kio with a frown plastered to her face. It didn't matter if this Human wanted to hunt them down, she was going to help her.
