Sword Art Online [Inactive]

She was a little shocked by the sudden spark of conversation, and jumped a little as the girl's voice rang into her eardrums. "Oh, yeah I do. Just follow me since I'm terrible at giving directions. I'm Avery by the way, but call me Snow or something." She said, beginning to walk towards a large hill in front if them. "Past this hill is a whole bunch of mobs." She said, quickening her pace.

"Right behind you!"Duncan followed her. She would let her do all the talking and he would only talk if he had to.

The mobs had increased in level beyond the village and fighting became a bit of a challenge, but he had found cover behind some rocks and used the gap to his advantage as the creatures became increasingly agitated as he stabbed them with his spear repeatedly kill one by one.

Duncan followed the two girls while they went up the hill. He looked at Snow and said: "So, I couldn't help but notice how well you fought off those monsters. I would find it hard to believe that you are new to this game so....are you a beta-tester? If I may ask."

Avery rubbed the back of her head awkwardly. "It's that easy to tell, huh? Yeah, in a beta tester." She said, going to walk down the hill as they reached the peak. She pointed to the bottom of the hill where you could see a few bunches of boars and wolves. "See? There they are, and plenty of them too." She said, smiling.

(It was strawberry and I'm on my way home now)

Yuchi giggled a bit at the big brutes enthusiasm, and at how little he actually knew about the MMO world.

"Think you can handle being my bodyguard?" She asked jokingly, as she probably could manage just fine on her own. She sent out the party request as he never did so. A small breeze went by, rustling her pink braids.

As she scrolled through her menu, checking through everything, she realized as well that there wasn't a log out button.

"That's... Odd.." She said as she went through multiple screens, searching for it. To anyone else it just looked like she was fanning air, since other players can't see your menu.

(welcome back~! How was the game? :3)

He smiled pridefully. "I could protect 10 of you, no problem." he said. A party request appeared, making him jump slightly. Oh...how did that appear? He shrugged and accepted it.

"That's...odd..." she heard her say. He looked over at her and watched her hand move frantically at...nothing. Not even a fly. "Um...something wrong?" he asked, a little worried. Please don't tell me she hears voices and stuff.

Duncan had a big grin on his face when he saw the monsters. "Thank you! We probably would have never found this hunting spot. Oh, my name is Leafion, nice to meet you!"

(We lost because the defenders I had as goalie SUCK)

"I'm searching through the menu and I cant seem to find the log out button... Maybe its a bug, or a glitch?" She said as she frantically swiped the air some more.

"Oh, sorry, I bet you don't know much about SAO... I was a Beta tester, so ask me anything you want." She said, giving another swipe. Her pink eyes showed a look of frustration as she did so, not being able to find the button. However, what if there wasn't a way out? could she remain virtual forever? Just the thought of that had excited her.

"Oh." That makes sense. Hell, Mercedes didn't even know how to log out so this didn't exactly bug him that much. "Um...isn't there another way to log out?" he asked quizzically.

She contemplated a moment, however there wasn't another way to log out from the inside of the game...

"The only other way to log out from any virtual game, would be for someone to remove the NerveGear helmet... However, they wouldn't know if you were in immediate stress..." She said as she closed her menu and stopped swiping the air.

Hoshiko bowed, "My name is Cassiopeia, but you can just call me Cassie, haha~" Hoshiko opened her menu and tapped a few buttons. Soon, a party invite showed up on Snow's screen.

"Well I have a brother...but I kinda locked my bedroom door. And he's probably at work by now, pissed off at me." He looks at her. "Maybe there's some catch or they changed how to log out. It's just different from the beta testing, no problem. We can go ask somebody else?"

"Eh, I wouldn't even bother with worrying " She said with a smile.

"Instead how about we go kick some monster ass?!" She exclaimed excitedly. She pushed the logging out button to the back of her mind, not wanting to dwell on something as trivial as a little bug.

"Hell yeah! Though you might have to teach me the basics." He laughed nervously, deciding to go ahead and show that he's not a complete know it all. It'd be his luck to act like he knew what he was doing and K.O. during their first fight. But...he had his mad new virtual physique so he might just pull some hard punches. Or at least, he'd like to bargain that one.

Nicholas was now fatigued he had been fighting for so long and hadn't taken up another level, because he was of course only on the first floor. He began to lie down in the middle of the village with his helm half way off and began to look at the features. His hunger was bugging him and he started to dig for the Log off tab wavering his hands violently. He took a look at the skills Cooking, Herbalism, Alchemy, Brewing, Smithing, etc. Cooking and Brewing, caught his eye, but he couldn't think about potions right now, so he began to look in the Guide for how to make a fire too cook some of the meat looted from boars on his long travel.

Before anybody got time to do anything else the bell of Town of Beginnings began to sound. Duncan stopped looking at the two girls and contracted on the bell. "Huh? Well that is weird isn't it?" He putted away his mace and looked over to the town. "I wonder why are they sounding the bell right now..." Suddenly he was teleported to the middle as all the other SAO players. He was a bit surprised about this. "Oh come on! I was about to fight some monsters! This better be important..."

Mercedes was teleported to the center and soon after more people arrived until it seemed as if everyone playing the game has been teleported to the center.

"What the f...? Is there supposed to be some kind of meeting about the rules of the game or something?" He asked, confused as hell.

Yuchi was teleported to the center as well and almost lost her balance, grabbing hold of Mercedes arm for support.

"There wasn't anything especially announced... Perhaps it's a resolve on the log out button?" She said, well more asked, skeptically.

"Maybe the Game Maker's want to tell us something, or welcome us." she says with a shrug, still holding your arm as she looks up worriedly at the bell tower.

Hoshiko was in the center of the beginning town with Leafion, "Wh-What's going on...?" she asked nervously, trying not to show her nervousness.

"What now?" He took out a teleportation crystal and was now back to the place they started in SAO. Now, back at the town of beginnings, he felt very out of place. He shouted loudly, letting everyone know he is there. "COME ON! YOU COWARD, SHOW YOURSELF AND FIGHT." Everyone looked at him, like he was little again. They thought he was the crazy one that didn't belong their.

Avery quickly accepted Cass' party request, as the two people she had come across seemed quite nice, even if they knew she was a beta tester. She was about to go kill some of the mobs when she was abruptly teleported to the Town of Beginnings again. She raised an eyebrow, looking around for some clue of what was going on.

"I have no idea...." He said. He looked up to the sky and as soon as he did his eyes widened a bit. He poked Avery's shoulder and pointed up. "Did this happen in the beta test?" Up in the sky there was a single small box. Duncan couldn't figure out was it said for a moment but then he was able to read it. "It says.....warning...."

"Gosh this is scary..." Hoshiko muttered to herself clenching her hands together, "But if anything too terrible happens we've got us three..."

Avery shook her head. "Nope," she said,"We just got the initial welcome then made our way through the game." She said, frowning. "That must be another bug, Virtual Realities can't be perfect. This is a bit much though." She said, peering at the warning.
