Sword Art Online [Inactive]

"It's not the Beta. Besides, Beta's NPC's were filled to at least floor 50, so why would they be closed on floor 1? Plus, Why would they give out the unfinished game anyway?" He exclaimed. The guy in front of him looked like a fighter, unlike his party member. "Well, I am going to the more advanced zones. I am not new, unlike most of these players." He tried walking away, while both of the others called him back as he came to a halt. "What, would you like to join me?"

Duncan stepped into the fields outside of the town. He saw two boars eating grass nearby. He grabbed a small rock from the ground and threw it at one of the boars. The rock hit one of the boars, but the rock bounced off the boar and hit the other one. Duncan took a defensive stance position as the two boars began to charge at him.

The first boar that was in the reach of his weapon got smashed on the head with the mace, making it explode into various polygons, but Duncan wasn't ready for the second one and the boar hit Duncan, sending him to the ground. He lost half of his HP and was now laying on the ground. Duncan grabbed both extremes of the mace to protect himself from more upcoming hits.

Hoshiko looked over and saw a guy being bashed by a ton of boars, "Whoa, don't worry, sir, I shall save you!" Hoshiko dashed over and slashed at the boars with her sickles making some fatal slashes. She smiled at him, "Say, what's your name?" she asked him.

Avery looked around the town for a second before walking towards the gates to outside. She unsheathed her sword as soon as she got out, scanning the area for mobs to fight, dashing over to a few boars. "Ugh, this'll take getting used to" she grumbled, stabbing the beginner mobs with ease.

"Join you? No... think of it more as a mutual partnership." This one looked like a warrior, unlike the other players he'd come across.

"Before we leave, I'll say it now. If you dare to try to betray me, Wraiths will be the least of your worries."

"

Duncan's health was dangerously low. He used his mace to help him stand up. He smiled a bit at the player who had just saved him. "Hey! Leafions is my name...and I owe you one for saving me from those boars." He offered his hand. "What's your name?"

Nicholas rose from his fallen position wiping his cheek "I guess you just can't find skilled people with manners around here." he said with a sigh and began to leave Yokimoto to his business with the mightier looking one. He began to make his way outside and join the ones of his tier in battle preparing to ignore anyone after his encounter with ignorance incarnate. He was now enraged and began to grind through creatures and follow the road leading away from the town of beginnings.

"Aw, it was nothing," Hoshiko said, faking her modesty, "anyways, my I go by Cassiopeia here, but I suppose you could call me Cassie or Cass if you'd like," Hoshiko pulled Leafion up, "so, are you training up to take on the first boss?"

(I... I totally didn't get the notification... Was watching AOT)

Yuchi looked up at the guy and had to suppress a laugh at how beefy he made his character look.

"No, No it's fine.." She said before taking his hand, and standing up. She smiled kindly at the brute and had to look up to see his face.

"Uh.. I'm Yuchi." She said to him as she then brushed the dust off her clothes.

Avery dodged the boars, faintly remembering their attacks from the beta. She smiled, being in the beta was very lucky, and Avery was glad to have prior experience with the game. She definitely did not want to look like she knew nothing about the game, which the beta helped, but she was afraid that people would think she was cocky due to her beta tester status.

Duncan smirked when Cassie mentioned that. "Indeed I am! I plan on taking him on as soon as I have the chance!" He looked at his skill level and chuckled a bit. "But I am a long way from there..."

"Well maybe since the boss isn't too hard this floor we could both double team him. We won't need much of a team until after the first ten floors you think?" she asked him.

(It's fine doll haha it happens. I'm just glad I said something!)

Mercedes watched her for a long moment as she dusted off her clothes. He took that time to take a long look at her. Man those are cute pixels! ...Hmm, was this world even pixelated? Enough of that. He needed to stop staring before the bad thoughts came.

"Uh...I'm Yuichi." she said.

He smiled an egoistic smile. "Cute name. And I'm...." Shit. Was he going to have to say Mercurydog? Why the hell did he make that his username. He sighs. Hope I can create a new character later... "Call me Mercury." Shit. Now she might think I'm some Sailor Mercury fanatic. That's not attractive. "Uh! The guys call me that back at home. Because you know...how I strong I am. Had to make my character look like this. It was the closest I could get it to looking like me. Though this virtual guy isn't nearly as good as me." He amped, trying to keep his cool but he was just rambling on nervously. Dammit his social skills sucked! But that was ok because he had pheromones. Come on Mercedes, bishie sparkle, bishie sparkle!

((Music isn't here, so I can't continue with him.)))

John decided to go back to the field while his new partner was AFK, grinding some skill points from the weak enemies. Animal after animal fell on his blade, and he sighed as he finished off his eighteenth one. He overheard some people talking about fighting the first boss, and he turned his head in interest.

Yuchi knew that not everyone was serious about how they looked on here, though she figured that she would humor him a bit.

"Wow, that's a cool name, and I know right? I couldn't get myself looking exactly as I was in real life." She says, gesturing to her bright pink braids.

"But I managed to make almost an exact copy of myself after scanning and transitioning my body data over." She then said with a smile. Yuchi was kind of a whiz with computers, but an idiot with almost everything else.

(Gotta go to the game now, I'll try using tapatalk tho)

Duncan thought about it. "That sounds like a great idea! And to think I could beat this game playing solo." Duncan opened the game's menu and went over to the party option. He pressed Cassie's name and soon a message appeared in front of her. It said: "The player Leafions invited you to join a party. Would you like to accept or decline his invitation?"

(Ah soccer, how I miss it sometimes. Good luck! Hope it goes well!)

Mercedes did a double-take on her comment. "Wait...in real life, you look like that!? Like...exactly!" Well, at least now he knew she was actually a girl in real life. But...the deitys had really taken a favoring to her, making her look like that. Well THAT or the deities just really hated her. She's bound to have some creepy guy look her way. Shit! Am I the creepy one then!? N-No! I'm here on her side to protect her from...the bad people on this game! Yes!

"So~ You know anything about the game or are you alone? We can party up if you want." He grins. "Wouldn't it be way more fun that way?" ...Saying this now does Mercedes realize that actually playing the game might help some. Hell, he hadn't even pulled out his default weapon from his inventory yet. How bad was that? ...He hadn't even opened his menu yet! How do you do that? He didn't read the manual...shit...he'll figure that out later!

(Thanks, it's really fun and I brought pocky with me lol)

Yuchi could see the surprise on his face and the comment made her realize that she either looked really adorable to him or really ugly. Most likely the former of course.

"Yeah pretty much the exact same." She said with a sparkling smile.

"And I know everything about this game, so if you need help I'd be happy to party up with you. It should be great fun right?" She asked, her pink eyes showing excitement for adventure. If she could have it her way, this place would be the real world. But it's not like she will ever be trapped here right?

(Can't do the colors but still dialogue. I'll edit later on PC)

(Ooh pocky! What flavor?)

She accepted...? This virtual reality is amazing! Way better than reality! At this rate he'll never want to log off. "Great!!!" He said, trying to puff up his chest and act calm but his huge smile was one of a praised child's. "We're in a party now!" Mind you, Mercedes never really played MMOs so he didn't know the whole lingo of it all.

Hoshiko looked at the request and smiled, she clikced the accept button, "So, where is the best place to grind? Do you know?" she asked Leafions.

Avery frowned, it looked like no one was really going to bother to approach her, even if they didn't know she was a beta tester. She sighed. "Maybe I'm just terribly unapproachable. Yeah, that has to be it. Something like that at least." She said, taking a small break from killing things. She had concluded that everything on Level 1 was way too easy, at least for one with a beta tester's experience. Still, she had to train somehow, even if it was a boring way like this.

Taylor laid on his bed and put on his NerveGear with a wide grin. He kept hearing all sorts of cool things about the game from all his friends at school. Eventually, he bought the game and was dead excited about playing it. This was it. It was finally his opportunity to play it.

"Link Start!", he shouted enthusiastically. The NerveGear started to work its magic. Except it wasn't really magic, just extremely cool technology. Buzzing and whirring noises were heard from the helmet while vivid colors began to flash in front of Taylor's eyes. He was logged into the world of Sword Art Online in a matter of seconds.

Soon, a brand new world to be explored was right in front of him. He looked around and just smiled. Welcome to SAO.

Nicholas had reached level 7 and looted some leather gloves and a rusty full helm. He was trying to interact with the villagers in the village he had found but they seemingly ignored him. "I swear the guide book said there is a beginners quest here.". He felt overcome by hunger and since he couldn't buy anything he prepared to log off. There was one small problem, the log off button on the menu was missing. He was confused and just suggested it was a bug for the time.

Leafions shook his head. "No..." He pointed at Avery. "Maybe she will know? She seems like a good fighter!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Hoshiko liked Leafions' suggestion. She trotted over to the girl and waved, "Hey! Do you know any good places to level grind?" she asked.
