Fantasy Surnaturel Academy

Yumi limped the rest of the way to class with relatively little trouble, discovering that the next class was also the stadium. All at once she became nervouse. Yumi had bad memories of this place.

All at once though, she was calmed by the familiar shout of urameshiya. It seemed she'd be able to sit next to Hanako, at least. The fox walked up to the tables the other students were crowded at.

"Oh, bracelets. Are these sports gear?" she asked, trying one on. To her surprise, a Japanese sword appeared in her hand. The short blade was heavy, too much so for her to wield properly. Unfortunately, trying several more bracelets revealed that, for some odd reason, every weapon available was a Japanese katana.

Resigning herself, Yumi awkwardly held the sheathed weapon with both hands in front of her, gripping it by the scabbard. This class would be pain.

"Ok everyone, hold your questions for a moment so I can explain how these wristbands work and hopefully answer your questions while doing so." X said raising his voice so it echoed throughout the Colosseum. X put on one of the wristbands and a katana formed in his hand. Just then Hanako made her move. Her spooking ability crashing against the Fear Masking granted by his ability in general, the result was headache and of course X almost taking her head off with his sword glowing with spirit energy. Then X remembered what Margaret chewed him out for earlier and thought it best not exorcize the ghost and simply get back to his explanation as his headache subsided.

"These wristbands are known as ADs or Arms Devices. Simply put them on your wrist then concentrate and it should fabricate a weapon to your liking. However if you find that it's not creating anything at all then you try 2 at the same time, if you end up trying 7 at once and it's you still can't fabricate your weapon come see me at this table." X explained. "Any questions?"

@UltraYuseke

Yoh did not have any questions, he simply picked up seven wristbands and put them on. He then focused not sure what kind of weapon they'll produce for him being he was always skilled with many different kinds of weapons, excluding firearms though. Suddenly he found himself holding two curved swords, he swung them around for a bit before judging them to be suitable.

Roth put two on to see it that was enough, it only made a dagger for him, so he tried on a couple more, it gave him a set of krisses, still two small, he put the seven on hoping that this would work, it gave him two massive claymores, still not what he wanted, he needed something bigger, something mean, intimidating. Roth looked over to Yoh who had a nice set of swords and nudged him " Look at this, two claymores and still not what I want." He let out a sigh as he walked over to the table that the teacher had been sitting at and pressed the ends of the swords into the ground "I've got seven wristbands on and I still don't have what I wanted, so now what."

Cas put on the arm band and it gave him a simple dagger. He smiled and sat down. "Perfect." He muttered before lazily swinging the small knife around. "Fast and light but still capable of inflicting damage."

"Bullshit," spat Hanako as the teacher barely even flinched. But she knew that he was scared on the inside, and at that moment was making in his undies. They would all make in their undies; such was Hanako's grudge on all the inhabitants of the material plane. Except maybe Yumi and the mime girl, because they seemed cool. And she'd already begrudged Yumi into making anyways.

Hanako took a place next to Yumi and tried one of the wrist thingies on. Or she would have if it hadn't fell through her wrist, because she was dead and a ghost. Instead she sort of levitated it, and quickly produced her weapon of choice.

Hanako swung the weapon around a bit, giggling like mad.

"As a ghost, I've always been one for fowl play."

Masako found herself placing four wristbands on; two on each wrist, under her large cloak-like jacket's sleeves where they're hidden. Be fore she even really focuses, a giant scythe appears in her right hand. The scythe was as long as three people stacked atop each other, the actual blade so large almost all of it were under the ground. This made Masako immediately lose her focus when she found herself holding such a large weapon in her hands and the weapon go away. "Whoa Masako, that was a large scythe. I think you should stick with one wristband."

Masako found herself immediately taking off all but one wristband, quickly placing those three on the table. Masako stepped back once more, focusing again and producing a scythe that was normal size. Masako swung it around lightly, and in a reaction to the holding of a scythe, she unintentionally started glowing with energy. Soon, her cloak found itself vanished as she was now in her reaper form. "Masako, I think you've just gone in your reaper form..." Masako was too busy enjoying the feeling of holding a scythe to pay much attention to Kael, so Kael's words went unnoticed.

"Masako...? Whoa, watch out with that!" Kael found his body unnaturally bent backwards as Masako, who was playing around with her scythe like a child who'd just gotten a new toy, had swung it right at Kael, just barely missing because of Kael's bending. "A-" Just as Masako was about to say "aah!" from almost hitting Kael, she got cut off by her realization she was about to talk. The noise that she started upon did cause her to drop the scythe and hold her head in pain, as well as caused just a small headache to all those nearby. Kael immediately sprung his body upright, holding Masako while she was in pain.

Charlotte appeared as the other sick girl, the one that wasn't actually sick and had attempted suicide at Charlotte earlier, apparently had just said something, giving Charlotte a sharp pain in the back of her neck. What an asshole that girl was.

Grumbling, but silently as she was a mime and could not talk, she moved to the crowded table, grabbed about twenty wristbands, and moved to the bench, dropping all but one off inside of her own world, a place she mentally referred to as Wrongside. She moved to the sidelines and put the band on her wrist, a reasonably-sized shinai appearing in her hands. Charlotte decided she was fine with this, as bringing live steel into a spar was pretty much a horrible idea regardless of the occasion.

Yumi looked at her sword, and concentrated. She needed something practical, something she could use, something....

With a pop, the katana transformed into a red bag with a white cross on it. It was a first aid kit.

She held it up to Hanako after the ghost made her pun, and said "I guess it's time to.... rock... something. Neosporin."

"Look, I haven't made a lot of puns about medical stuff, okay?" she said.

Peter H. Stone pondered on what torment he'd have to do to the Mongrel Kitsune for invoking rocks in such a terrible pun, when it wasn't even slightly relevant. Perhaps if it was relevant Peter would've let it slide. But no, it was not relevant. Instead of a medical pun it was a rock pun, a poor one at that. So Peter had to think of a way of punishing the perpetrator of the pun. Perhaps activating a count-down to some explosion of sorts. Yes, that would serve well. Biologicals got highly nervous during count-downs. Perhaps it relates to the fact that they were only fleeting beings. Or maybe just an innate fear of numbers going down instead of up. But this idea, it wouldn't give him the necessary time to monologue, well if he could anyway. Needless to say, Peter was not amused by that pun.

Then again that Ghost, it surely sounded much like a ghost. But was that a proper way of determining it to be a ghost? Well the most likely Ghost creature clearly started it. They would have to suffer for encouraging more puns to be done. Peter thought. Ah but he didn't have to dawdle on biologicals. He could ponder their demise at any time. Well not any time, he did have a limited time frame. Except for the Ghost most likely. Which was a good thing, it'd give Peter more time to plot their demise in a creative and possibly artistic way. Or more likely just prepare something quick and brutal which would take quite some time. So long and brutal really. But as for the rest they were biologicals after all. Limited time to work. But Peter had thought to himself, he would rather think of silt at the moment. He didn't ponder about recently so it seemed like a good idea. So Peter began thinking about silt.

Yu rubbed his temples, slightly troubled by a mysterious headache which he could not explain. He closed his eyes, centered himself, controlled his breathing, and the already mild and fully manageable discomfort faded away as quickly as it came. Must be the air around this place, not as clean as in the Wudang mountain range, or maybe it was just having to deal with this whole situation. Wenyan watched as all the other students placed any number of wristbands on themselves and got things almost, but not quite, completely unrelated to the quantity of trinkets they used.

Just one band produced a japanese sword, a nondescript knife, some kind of prop of some sort and a farming implement. For the one guy that slightly approached him but didn't say a word, seven made two claymores, why anyone would want to dual wield those was beyond him, while his rude friend got what appeared to be two butterfly swords with a slight curve and no handguard from the same amount. The girl that was being tended to by her brother had summoned an absurdly oversized and unbalanced scythe that would be no good for tending to crops with four.

And then another girl produced a first aid kit from just the one band. This got a good laugh out of him, even with the failed attempt at a pun, and he gave the fox girl a thumbs up, as medicine was quite important after all, before approaching the teacher. "Good day, teacher". He gave the man a slight bow, a show of respect. "Excuse my questioning when you are busy with someone else, but would you have a more...real weapon? Not one with an actual steel blade, this is a spar after all, but I do not feel comfortable with a trinket, a weapon that ceases to be if I remove a fashion accessory".

"It's OK, Yumi," said Hanako, feeling slightly off after that girl with the scythe spoke, "A poultry pun is alright every once in a while. They can't all be golden eggs like Rocky Balboa."

Hanako waved her rubber chicken around happily. This was good stuff.

"Besides, a medical kit is great. Non-ghosts tend to bleed and get infected and stuff."

Hanako looked over at Charlotte to see what she pulled out.

"Oh, a shinai. What a good idea, uh, mime... acquaintance. It would be bad if someone accidentally got hurt during class."

Hanako was glad that at least a couple of the students were being careful, what with all the people pulling out two swords and gigantic scythes. Which were farming equipment, really.

X replied to Roth "If it doesn't automatically generate what you want then what you have to do is actively focus and forge an image of it in your head, but for that you have to use one wristband only or else you cause you weapon will combust during materialization."

X then stood for a moment and said "Please do not swing these weapons at each other if you have something deadly. You're absolutely not supposed to spar with these. If you have a weapon your okay with simply put some distance between you and your classmates then get used to wielding them. In this class you're going to learn to wield a multitude of weapons but today is to get you used to your signature weapons."

X then turned to Yu, X replied "I'm sorry but today's lesson plan is to get your class used to using the ADs. As you're going to be using them all throughout your time here so it's best to introduce them on the first day."

Yu wanted to continue protesting, he felt moderately displeased that they'd be stuck with these trinkets, these weapons that would vanish when an armband was removed. He also felt the need to question what the point of using several was considering just the one could give whatever result was needed if one simply thought about the weapon one wanted, not to mention using more could lead to the weapon combusting, which was another good reason not to use these at all.

The teacher tried to justify these abominations first by saying they were the focus of the first class, then that they'd actually be using them for the time they spent there. It was awful. Yu politely nodded, grabbed one of the bands and thanked the teacher for his time. While he stepped away from other students and materialized a jian, a simple, one handed, double edged chinese sword with a red tassel attached to the pommel, all he could think of was "I need to get Wudang to send me one of our swords. And maybe a practice one as well".

"Ah, OK, that seems a lot simpler than wearing seven of these, thanks." Roth took off six of the bracelets and walked back over to the table and set them back where they were and he tapped on Yoh's shoulder trying to pull him away from the table so that the others could get past him. Once he was a good distance away from the crowd he placed his hands in front of them almost as if he didn't have to think about it, which he didn't , and he thought of his old zweihander he had that was five foot ten, nearly as tall as he was.

"Works everytime." X chuckled to himself. The ADs work by fabricating a weapon with the input of the sub conscious. However conscious input sometimes blocks the sub conscious making the ADs inactive, using more ADs allows them to ignore conscious input but there s a risk of the ADs knocking the user unconscious when they use more than 7. So then he turns to a method of simple suggestion in which the user focuses on fabrication with the AD, the AD uses that focus to shove aside conscious input.

Yoh looked at the huge sword and said "Wow awesome I didn't know you were a great sword user. One time I met this dude from China named Ping he wielder a nicely designed greatsword. I bet you're able to swing that thing like it weighs nothing, it seems all greatsword users are able to that." Yoh summoned his own two curved swords and said "Though they're no greatsword I fine this very comforting in my hands."

@las0r0o7

"Actually great swords are shorter than this, and much lighter in comparison, I had seven of these on earlier and it gave me two claymores yet it still wasn't long enough or heavy enough for me, this sword here I actually forged myself a while back but you know, we can't bring our weapons here, so I just thought of mine." Roth took the blade and pressed the tip into the ground next to Yoh as he held out his hand towards one of his blades "Mind if I see one."

Yu absentmindedly tested his weapon's weight and balance. They seemed fine, pretty much the same as those in any decently made sword back home. But, as he held the weapon at eye level, blade pointed towards the wall, he used his free hand to snatch off the band, which he had placed on his right wrist for the purpose of the test. Just like that, the sword vanished from between his fingers and he was left with nothing. He did not like this one bit, no sir. He could sort of understand the why, but this was no real weapon, this was just some tool that created edges.

He decided to ignore the guy going on about how he needed a slab of metal as wide as a bench for some reason, as if swords were weapons used for their weight and impact. He felt a fairly strong urge to point out that a truncheon of some sort would be a superior weapon when it came to bludgeoning and that such a massive, poorly-balanced (no pommel to speak of after all) "sword", with its jagged, strangely put together blade was no good for the finer points of swordsmanship and required excessive amounts of strength to wield effectively when a simpler, more balanced weapon would've sufficed.

But expressing such thoughts would have been extremely rude, so he just pushed them away and instead approached the girl with the medkit. He noticed she seemed a bit jumpy and unwell, so he did so with no sword in hand. "Hey, that's an interesting "weapon" you made, mot many people would think to bring some medicine to a fight, it's really nice of you. Oh, sorry, where are my manners, my name's Yu, Yu Wenyan. I'm from the Wudang mountains in China".

"Oh, this?" Yumi asked.

"It's fine, I just... I don't know how to fight or use weapons. Besides, after the fight earlier today, I thought it'd be good to keep on hand." she smiled nervously, pointing at the bandage wrapped around her head. She inspected the contents.

Well... I know how to use band-aids, at least.

"Anyways, my name is Yumi. Yumi Koizawa." she greeted the chinaman.

Just then a light emitted from the door as it illuminated everything in a resplendent gold. The sound of the doorknob being rotated ever so slowly was accompanied by the opening segment of Also sprach Zarathustra. In came a most fabulous young man with sunkissed skin, vibrant colored hair and a a decent amount of baubles decorating his person.

"Greetings plebs! I hope I have arrived in time to not be late for this class!" he said to them all.

Roth quickly picked up his sword and placed it on front of his eyes as the light came through the door, he never really liked bright lights, and waited until the light dimmed down some before he lowered the sword to look at the person that had made such an entrance. "Oh great, a grand entrance person, how lovely." He said under his breath as he stared at the person for a bit before he had a thought pop in his head, ' what if I had two of these swords'

Hanako was just having fun swinging her chicken around when a new student entered the room with lights and music. Hanako smiled and clapped at the performance, because this guy really knew how to make an entrance, before addressing him.

"Actually, I'm not a Pleb, but Japanese," she corrected, "but that was a really fun entrance! Right now we're making friendship bracelets that turn into rubber chickens. Come and join us!"

Hanako turned her chicken back into a bracelet and applied some glue and rainbow glitter to it. She was going to have the prettiest friendship bracelet in the class.

"Wait... I don't have any friends," she said, turning the bracelet into a paper fan.

"Sou nan'su!" she cried, attempting to hit her own forehead with the fan which simply passed through her because she was a ghost.

Roth went back over to the table as he let his sword dissipate and picked up another wrist band and put it on his other arm and walked past the one who was clapping at the entrance and was fitting it just right and finished clasping it to his wrist as he accidentally shouldered Yu from not paying attention to where he was going he formed towards Yu and gave a small head bow as he spoke through his mask "My bad." He remembered that he was the one that had the double edged blade before he took his band off "Interesting choice of weapon if I do say so myself." Roth went on past Yu and past the end of the tables to where no one was at and materialized one blade and then the other as he held them in his hands he gave them a good couple swings before he held them like daggers and did a few upper cuts with them. Roth spun them back to the way that they were intended to be held as he pressed the tip of one into the ground and started to do a one handed hand stand while holding the handle and used the other one to start him spinning slowly, eventually he was spinning pretty fast and almost looked like an ice skater would as they would stick their leg out for a second and then back in to gain some more speed, except with swords. He finally let the other blade catch the ground slinging his legs outwards and onto the ground but on his feet while he lifted the tips blades out of the ground and around his body and stopped them before they struck the ground sending a shockwave of earth across the room, he'd rather not make a mess he would have to clean later.

The mention of the bandage on her head made Yu's features harden somewhat. "Oh that's awful, who did that to you? And why? You don't seem like the type to pick a fight. If you'd like, I could teach you how to defend yourself, you know? Kung fu is a noble pursuit and my Wudangquan is open to anyone from all ages and all walks of life, anyone no matter their condition can learn our martial arts and grow as a person both physically and spiritually!". It was rather obvious that Yu thought very highly of the martial arts he had been taught since he was a boy.

"Er, sorry, I was raised with my kung fu so I tend to take it too seriously. You don't have to learn it if you don't want to", he said as his head turned towards the door where some other student had arrived with great pomp and circumstance. Were the people in this place incapable of not displaying their abilities for all to see? At least the ghost girl (he figured it was a ghost girl) seemed to be having fun with it though, and he laughed out loud when she swung her paper fan through her head. While he was doing so, he was shoulderbumped by that kid with the oversized sword.

"Oh no, please, no problem at all" Yu said after the young man had the decency to apologize to him "though I don't see what is interesting about my weapon. It's just a regular sword, like any other" he followed, although the kid had already left to perform some pattern of some sort using not one but two of those ridiculous swords. Since he was not particularly interested in the display, though he acknowledged the strength necessary to pull it off, he simply turned his attention back to Yumi and the ghost girl. "Nice to meet you Yumi. And I thought you two were friends? You sure looked like it" he mentioned in regards to the "no friends" statement the ghost girl had made.

"Funny story," Yumi explained.

"Earlier we had some sort of... fight club class. I was against that girl over there, and she turned invincible and kicked my legs out." she frowned.

"Really though, I shouldn't be fighting in the first place. I'm not very strong, and I don't really want anyone anyways."

Hanako stared silently at Yumi for a second before turning back to the Chinese boy.

"I mean, I seem to remember that making friends was a little harder than scaring a girl until she peed a little and then being nice to her for the rest of the day. It was a longer, more involved process too. But maybe it's easier now? I've kind of been out of the friendmaking 'scene' for like 70 years. But if she's OK with it, I mean, I wouldn't mind."

Hanako practiced swinging her paper fan around, because she didn't want to get bad grades even though she wasn't really a student.

"I'm Hanako, by the way," she added, extending an incorporeal hand to the Chinese boy, "Hanako the Toilet Ghost."
