Supernatural Unit

Walter looked at the picture of Remus and nodded. "Alright, he seems like the obvious suspect at this point. And I bet he'd hired someone else to do it."

"We'll see," Amelia says as she folds the photograph again and places it back into her pocket. "Endulge me, Mr Sibel, what brought you here, of all places?" Her eyes widen, with a little twinkle of curiosity.

Walter nodded. "Well back in Germany, the crime rate wasn't high enough for my interest, so I came here in hopes of getting that full busy live of a officer I always wanted."

"Really says something about London, when people move here because our crime rate is higher. Or maybe it says something about you, who knows?" She says, as she walks up a few steps quickly and comes to a stop in front of a large wooden black door, the number 86 in silver paint on the front of it. She reaches for the knocker, and let's it sound once by knocking it, then twice, to let them know that she was at the door.

Walter waited with her. "That might say something about me, being a seeker of excitment." He chuckled. "Or a little on the suicidal kind."

"I would definitely lean more on the suicidal- Oh! I'm sorry to disturb you ma'am but I wonder, is Mr Sullivan here?" She asks a short blonde lady, who must be a housekeeper or maid of some sort for him. The girl shakes her head, and in a hushed voice tells her where to find him, then closes the door. "No luck here I'm afraid. She said, the office on Dewton Road." She walks down the steps and back to street level again, breathing out and seeing her breathe in mist in front of her.

Walter walked down with her. "Well let's go to his office then, if he's not there, maybe we can get some information from someone that works there."

"Precisely." She smiles as she begins to walk again, her shoes clicking against the pavement with every step. Amelia's face was stone and her lips were in a straight line as she walked.

Walter walked along with her. "How long have you been in SPU? And how does a woman get into the force anyway? That's nearly un hueard of before."

"I can be extremely persuasive." She says, neglecting to tell him exactly what she had done to get into the force. "I've been here for... Long enough."

Walter nodded. "Alright." Sounds like she doesn't want tell about her past. And he'll tell everyone the same thing in a few years from now. "Wheres this building the maid spoke of?"

"Next... Left." She says slowly, looking around and spying something out of the corner of her eye. "You go on ahead... I'll be there momentarily..." She says as she walks off in a random direction.

Walter nodded slowly. "Sure then." He said slowly as he took the left. When he got to the building he knocked on the door, waiting for a response.

Amelia walked slowly over to what had caught her eye. A dark red stain on the floor of an alley, and she crouched down next to it, dipping her fingers in it. She looked at her fingers and rubbed the red liquid between them. There was no time to get Walter now.

Someone opened the door. The person was a man, a inch shorter then Walter, short brown hair, and wore glasses. "Can I help you sir?" Walter nodded. "Yes I'm Walter Sibel, I'm member of the police department. I need to talk to your boss." The man nodded as he opened the door further. "Come in, come in." Walter smiled softly and was about to walk in when he looked back at where Amelia went. "I'll be back." He walked toward the last place he saw her and started looking. A few minutes later he found her looking at something red. "Found something?"

"Not something. Someone. A dead someone." She says slowly as she stands up straight cautiously. She doesn't look at Walter as she takes a hesitant step forwards. And another. Her eyes saw something watching her from the shadows, but her body stayed still. No. Sudden. Movements.

Walter looked over and saw whatever was hiding in the shadows. He slowly reached for his coat pocket. Reaching for his pistol. And it has one shot, he better make it count.

Just as Amelia opened her mouth to tell Walter not to shoot, the thing in the shadows moves, lunging for her and grabbing her by the arm, pulling it towards it. She still couldn't make out what it was. It had leathery skin, and it smelt like decay and corpses, she wrinkles her nose in disgust, hoping that Walter could shoot straight.

Walter pulled out his pistol as soon as the mass lunged at her. He aimed and shot. Hitting it in the shoulder.

The thing, being hit in the shoulder, let's go of Amelia's arm, who stumbles away from it, before turning and looking at it clearly. Just as she was about to reach into her pocket and pull out her own pistol, the creature scampers away, leaving only a pool of dark and inhuman blood where it had once stood.

"That, Mr Sibel," Amelia says slowly, "Was a vampire." She looks in the direction that e had ran, tempted to follow it, but instead turns and looks at Walter. She had known it was a vampire the second she had felt him in the shadows.

Walter looked at with a confused a expression. "A vampire? Like Vlad the Impaler? If aren't those mostly just monsters made up for parents to tell their kids to behave?"

"Isn't everything just a story that parents tell kids? Their stories are twisted and changed to suit the needs of a child, to scare them into going to bed on time, or doing their reading. Vampires are very much real, Mr Sibel, and they're very dangerous." She turns her full body and turns to look at him. "But these questions are not the ones we should be asking."

Walter nodded. "Right, we have a case to solve. And our first suspect it waiting for us, come on." He started walking to the building they were going to.
