Fantasy Supernatural Teenage Drama

Eric took out the sketch and gave it to Jordan, "There are some added ice obstacles on the halfpipe. I just didn't add them in yet because you guys were going through it...". He unfroze Lisa then turned to Ryan, "I know you can go through it though, so that shall be our presentation yes?" Ryan looked at the sketch over Jordan's shoulder, "..are those ice fangs?" Eric smiled, "Yep!"

Dexter looked back at Lisa, guessing that she wasn't getting up anytime soon. "She probably is, but I don't care. If she wanted to get back at me she'd have to wait at a VERY long line of other people that tried that same sh*t on those who actually mean something to me." He looked at his feet, clearly not meaning for that last part to come out. But it was true; nobody laid a hand on those closest to him unless they wanted to go through the trouble of going into battle with him. He promptly changed out of his suit and joined Eric and Jordan.

Alec nodded and promptly took off, loping towards the forest. He wasn't moving at his top speed, but he still reached the tree line quickly. He kept up the pace until they neared the clearing where the fight had gone down. Alec stopped and started sniffing around. 'It's hard. There're not only the ungifted humans' scents, but also mine and the other wolves, and all the adults who cleaned up the mess. A tangled web of scents,' he said with a frustrated growl.

Jordan examined the sketch as she figured out where she should start painting. Then she looked up at Dexter and frowned from his words. Lisa actually did stand up and made her way over to them, eyes still watering. She was now furious, and Jordan turned to look at her getting annoyed from her emotions, "Will you chill out!?" Jordan asked her. Lisa snarled at her, enraged, but didn't come back at her. She grabbed the sketch looking it over then went over to the paint grabbed a brush, and after dipping it in, she turned and started going over to their project. On the way though, she pretended to trip and she got the paint over Dexter's scarf and clothes. She looked up at him and smirked, though her eyes were still puffy from crying, "Oops. My bad." She said.

Ryan could tell that their emotions were getting to Jordan. He quickly studied the people around him. Lisa was just misbehaving, Dex was kind of..doing his own thing, and Eric was in the same position Ryan was in...they just wanted to finish the project without all this whatever it was. Ryan and Eric looked at each other as if they were mentally conversing to one another about the situation. Eric's eyes shifted to Lisa then back at Ryan. Ryan's eyes shifted to Jordan then back at Eric. Eric raised an eyebrow then glanced at Dex. Ryan looked at the snowy halfpipe. He then moved his gaze to Lisa Minelli and back to Eric. Eric nodded then looked at the trees while Ryan looked at the ground.

Dexter closed his eyes and jumped back slightly as the bright red paint got on his clothes. He sighed deeply and glared even harder at Lisa. "Girl, if you don't want me to give you a funeral, you betta get your life!" he exclaimed, tilting his head so that his eyes gave a sinister look in them. There was nothing he could do about the shirt, but he turned his scarf inside out and wore it the other way. "God she's so petty." he mumbled while throwing one end of the scarf behind his back in a flippant manner. He then observed the sketch, deciding to mind his own business until it was time to go. He saw Eric and Ryan observing them silently. Shame flooded Dexter, worried that Ryan would see him in a negative light now.
Marceline's expression stretched in surprise as Aaron marched her way over to the two boys that passed. She probably still couldn't see her. Marceline focused a bit harder until she resonated with human world a bit better. Now her and the two boys would definitely be able to see her. She was startled further by Aaron's response. "Whoa, hey! Are you alright?"

Ryan and Eric glanced at each other. They were just waiting in case the situation got out of hand again. Eric turned to the halfpipe and raised his arms causing the ice obstacles to form on it. Ryan got a paintbrush then dipped it in some paint. They casually carried out their parts of the project for now.

Lisa scowled and moved away from him starting to paint, but kept casting furious glances at Dexter. Jordan bit her lip and glanced at Ryan who seemed to be having some unspoken communication with Eric, then went back to the paint. She tried to keep to herself and keep her distance from the others, in fear of snapping at them when it wasn't even her own emotion.

Eric asked, "Out of curiosity, if you guys could go anyplace around the world for a vacation, where would you go?" He turned back to them. Ryan put the readied paintbrush off to the side, "...no clue. Maybe Philippines or someplace in Europe". He clenched his teeth when the pain shot through his shoulder again.

Lisa looked at Eric, "France." She replied. "I'd travel the entire world if I could..." Jordan muttered and sighed. She glanced at Ryan able to tell he was in pain again and she frowned, shaking her head. "Go to the d*** nurse Ryan." She said frustrated. "She can probably fix that really easily." She didn't mean to be crabby, and she looked away, feeling bad. She hated her powers once again.

Dexter painted in relative silence, keeping his distance from Lisa who seemed to always be on constant watch of him. He rolled his eyes at her, annoyed that she hadn't learned her lesson yet. His position at the poster board was nearest to Ryan, so he overheard their conversation. "...someplace quiet. Peaceful. Where you don't have to worry about hiding yourself, you can just be who you truly want to be." he began. He glanced over at Ryan when he felt his pain and agitation. He focused the emotion on his paintbrush, so that he'd brush faster. He heard Lisa's response and scoffed inwardly. "Of course she'd want to go to France. Basic b*tch." he thought.

Ryan furrowed his brows as he stood up and dashed away. Eric looked at the direction Ryan ran. He decided to sit in his place and paint as well. Eric grabbed the paint brush Ryan had left aside then began to paint. The project was almost done. They just needed this and the group would never be formed again for an academic project that took up a percentage of their grade. Eric picked up his painting pace without letting the painting look sloppy.

Jordan heard Ryan leave, and she closed her eyes momentarily, still feeling bad, then opened them hoping he's gone to the nurse. She continued painting. Lisa scowled, "Why does he get to leave? That's not fair!" Jordan looked over at her and laughed coldly, "Both he and Eric have done most of the project Lisa. I wouldn't be complaining... Besides, he's going to the nurse." Hopefully, anyways. Lisa's eyes widened, "He's going to the nurse!? Did you see what Dexter did to me!? I think I should be the one going to the nurse!" Jordan groaned annoyed, "Shut up Lisa! Can you just not say anything for ten minutes!? We just... Want to finish the project..!" Jordan snapped. Lisa blinked taken aback for a moment then scowled, "Whatever!" She continued painting. Jordan sighed, and bit her lip. She needed a block for emotions. She needed one more than ever.

Eric felt the tension then yelled, "ICY!" He quickly froze Lisa while Ryan dashed back and carried Jordan to Brazil. Eric looked at Dex, "I don't suppose you will be snapping anytime soon right friend?" Eric continued to paint. "Sorry I couldn't bring you to another place. For some reason Brazil just happened to come into mind" Ryan look around.

Jordan's eyes widened and she felt the relief from the others emotions immediately. She looked around dumbfounded, "... I'm in Brazil?" She asked weakly, then she shook her head trying to clear it, and she buried her face in her hands, "Ryan, I'm so sorry. I can't control it, it's horrible. I don't know how. I feel so bad. I hate my power." She broke down slightly and turned away trying to hide the tears. Everywhere she went, her power haunted her. She couldn't pretend to be ungifted because she couldn't block the emotions. Jordan figured her power was a curse.

"Don't hate your power. Your power is pretty cool" Ryan turned Jordan back toward him then wiped her tears. "It's called a power for a reason Jordan. It's not a disability" He added. "Look we're in...Brazil, again sorry, but my point is..we are in Brazil now. Just calm down okay? You're away from Lisa and all that other stuff that was going on back there" Ryan said.

Dexter felt the anger rise within both Jordan and Lisa; he consciously painted on the poster faster and harder. He heard a yell out of Eric and watched as he froze Lisa. He chuckled lightly. "Remind me to give you a hug whenever you come down."

Dexter finished up his spot and moved on to the spot where Lisa was. He gave her the shady side-eye before continuing to paint.

Eric laughed, "So Dex how have you been lately?" He was almost done painting the portion Ryan was about to paint. Honestly, Eric didn't know Dex much. Might as well jump at the opportunity now. He seemed like an interesting character.

Jordan looked at him, choking up, "It was going so well... We were having a good time. Then..." She sighed looking down, "I'm so vulnerable." She stated numbly. She took a deep breath and turned away. "Brazil's pretty cool. Don't be sorry." She changed the subject, and looked around.

"Jordan, powers that have to do with emotions are the most powerful powers in the world. No, you're not vulnerable, you're understanding. I don't blame you for acting up like that though. Emotions are so powerful, that sometimes they blind our minds" Ryan said. "Enough of the "I'm cursed with my power stuff". It's not a curse. Emotions are what empowers people to make the choices they make. Being able to feel other people's emotion gives you the power to start a war or end it simply by understanding the side they come from. Don't think that emotional powers suck because it's not lifting a boulder from twenty feet away solely with brain power or with some super strength. Physical powers are just powers that help carry a war out...powers that protect others..make materialistic things easier to obtain. If you have a strong heart and a power having something to do with emotions, then you have the power to change the world" He explained then rubbed the back of his neck. What did he just say? Was that stuff relevant at the moment? He mentally shrugged. It sounded right in his head, but now he was unsure about his words once they went out into the real world.

Dexter didn't exactly how to begin the conversation, he took a few moments to gather his thoughts before responding. "I have to admit, everything has been exactly how I didn't want this to turn out." he vented out. "I try my best to keep everything under control, but I have my demons. It's... difficult for me to get anyone to really know me."

Jordan was crying softly again by the end of his speech and she looked down, then at him, "People who have a way with words, have the power to change the world. And you're definitely in that group." He had touched her. Moved her. Maybe even motivated her. All of those, and she had no idea how she could make up for that. She took a deep breath, "You have no idea what you've done for me. I could never thank you enough for that." She had never thought of it like that before. Ryan was right, right when he started his speech. She was taking her power for granted. Letting it bring her down, when really she could've used it better. She looked at Ryan, "You're pretty wise, you know that?" She joked slightly, trying to lighten the mood.

Eric looked at Dexter, "Sorry to hear that Dex...Don't we all have our demons though?" He raised an eyebrow. Eric wasn't much of the...helpful one when it came to these discussions. What would Ryan say? "I mean, we all have our demons, but those demons shouldn't bring us down" Eric said. Yep, that kind of did sound like something Ryan would say.
So it made sense? Great! Ryan would try to remember what he said later. "Thank you Jordan" Ryan said as he smiled. Ryan looked around, "Well, we're in Brazil so..I heard that there's this giant statue of Jesus somewhere around here. You want to see it?" It was the statue, Christ the Redeemer. He's seen it in trailers before.

Jordan thought for a moment then smiled softly and nodded, "Yes actually. I'd love to go see it." She looked around again, trying to get her bearings. "Which way...?" She asked. His words still lingered within her. No one said something that meaningful to her. Ever. It was weird, yet enlightening.

Ryan shrugged his shoulders. He knew how to get to certain countries, but not all their landmarks. Ryan slightly remembered where the statue was, but didn't want to risk getting lost. He saw a couple walking by them, "Desculpe-me, qual o caminho a Cristo Redentor?" The man looked at Ryan, "Para essa área. Se você continuar caminhando dessa maneira, então você acabará por ver Cristo em uma colina". The guy made a gesture toward a direction and Ryan nodded. "Obrigado senhor" Ryan responded then started walking. "Você é jovem bem-vindo" The man replied and walked the opposite direction.
