Fantasy Supernatural Teenage Drama

After she got the teacher's permission, she slipped out of the classroom. She decided to drop by the infirmary on her way home.


Poking her head through the door, she saw a familiar figure in one of the beds. She made her way over to him and sat down. "Hey, Dexter. You all right? Why are you in here?" she asked softly.

Ryder rubbed his neck, thinking it over. "I'd say, yeah. My teacher once called it reactive and proactive evolution, so that kinda stuck. I can evolve within picoseconds to adapt to the situation at hand. If I'm shot, I get a steel coating. If I'm stuck underwater, gills." It was a useful power that he was extremely grateful for. He was practically invulnerable.


Miuna linked her arm with his, beaming as they exited the school. "I've never been on a date before. Are dates fun?" she asked, having to look up to meet his eyes. He was a lot taller than her, but that didn't stop her from trying.

Rob looked down at her, meeting her eye, " I have absolutely no idea Miu. I've never been on one myself. I hear they're supposed to be fun." He winked and looked back down the road, "So uh... What did you do earlier in the infirmary, if you don't mind me asking."

 

[Robin of Locksley]

Alec nodded. "Impressive. I don't know how fast I can shift, but it's not that fast. I'm not good at partial shifting either." He turned down a few more hallways, heading for the lobby and the office. He had no idea if this would work, but it was worth a shot.

"You mean when I got rid of spirits?" She looked down, smiling ever so slightly. "Controlling them is part of my power. I just told them to leave. Even the one inside of Dex. I didn't know if that one would. I'm glad it did, even though it hurt a little." Her voice had softened substantially as she spoke. "I don't like seeing my friends in pain. I know I say some weird things sometimes and I'm not the best person to have around, but I would do anything for you guys. I won't ever leave you, because I know what it's like to be alone." She looked back up at Rob, tears brimming in her eyes.


Ryder nodded in understanding, following Alec's lead without question. "Not gonna lie, it's not the best on the offensive. That's why I'm specializing in elemental control for my courses. That stuff can deal a beating."

Rob looked down at Miu for a moment and smiled, " I may not be useful in a lot of situations, but if you ever need me for anything, I'm there for you, alright?" He put his arm around her shoulders and hugged her lightly.

Jordan sat back in the chair, starting to watch the disc. As the first scene involving both of them progressed she got more and more nervous, and when the characters kissed she bit her lip and blushed, looking away, taking a deep breath. "Honestly who falls in love that easy..." She muttered sarcastically. Normally she liked the story of Romeo and Juliet, but right now she was too anxious to appreciate it.

Dexter threw his hands into the air, clearly not winning the two of them over, even though he knew both of them had lives of their own. He gave an apologetic smirk to Alec and Ryder before they left; he could sense more worry from Ryder though. He switched back to his position at the front of the bed to allow himself time to think. His mind contemplated everything that had occurred that day. He could remember the pain rippling through his body a few hours ago, he crossed his arm tightly and curled up in his spot on the bed. Whatever it was that invaded his mind beforehand, it left a permanent sensation of fear inside of him. It felt invasive, being able to manipulate parts of himself that he didn't want others to be aware of. His eyes began to water again before he wiped them with the back of his black sleeve.

Jackie, alarmed, touched Dexter's shoulder. He didn't seem to notice her there, but he also seemed to be going to a bad place. "Dexter? Hey, what's wrong?" she asked, a little frantically when she noticed the tears.

Miuna hugged him back, wiping her tears quickly. "Thanks, Rob. That means a lot to me." Once she pulled back, Miu spotted a sign that said the mall was close. Excitement coursed through the girl as she took Rob's hand, pulling him forward. "Let's go, let's go," she urged, getting hungrier by the minute.

Rob laughed and let himself get pulled by her. Once inside he took her too the Cookie Cake place, " alright, pick whatever you want." He smiled at Miu. And older woman stood behind the counter and looked at them both.


" you two make such an adorable couple!"

 

[Robin of Locksley]

"I could never get the hang of the elements. Not enough mental discipline, I think." Alec strode through the lobby and knocked on the principal's door. When he heard him say, "Come in," he opened the door and immediately voiced his concerns, even as he walked inside.


"Why is the ungifted human still here? Why are you planning to interrogate him here?" Alec asked.


The principal held up his hands defensively. "It wasn't totally within my control, Dryden," he said flatly. "Orders came down from the council that he was to be held for questioning."

Miuna beamed at the woman, beyond elated to be in such a wonderful shop. "Thanks!" she replied, not bothering to correct her. It didn't matter to her what other people thought, though she understood why the woman thought they were together. They were holding hands, after all. "We're on a date." She glanced back at Rob before picking a cake. "This one has a cute ghostie on it. Let's get it."


Ryder stood back and let Alec do the talking, figuring he had nothing useful to add. The principal seemed uncaring about the issue, despite Alec's fiery attitude. They likely had something anticlimactic planned and didn't want the students to get their hopes up.

Ryan tilted his head when he saw the kissing scenes on the balcony. Did he have to kiss Jordan all over her neck like that? He glanced at Jordan then back at the screen to see Romeo and Juliet run and kiss each other, "..didn't that hurt?" Suddenly, he saw Romeo on the bed with Juliet. Ryan's eyes widened as he watched the scene. Romeo went over Juliet a bit and Juliet was...messing with his hair or something while he was kissing her all over. Would Jordan even let him do that? Would he even let himself do that? Now that he thought about it, eleven kisses weren't that bad...as compared to the MILLION KISSES HIDDEN WITHIN THE "eleven" KISSES! And look how aggressive they were kissing each other. Ryan didn't even know what to feel about this whole thing.

Rob was about to correct the woman, until Miuna said, "Thanks!" He raised a brow suddenly worried that she actually thought they were on a date, and didn't realize he had been joking. This wasn't the place to tell her so he just smiled a bought the cake. "Should we just eat it here? If we walk back it might not be as good and we'd have to share with others I'm sure."


Plus Miuna scared the crap out of him because he wasn't sure the extent of her powers.

Miuna nodded in agreement and sat down at a table. His alarm hadn't gone unnoticed and she gave him a kind smile. "Don't worry. I know we're not dating. It's a friend date." With that out of the way, she opened the box for the giant cookie and cut out a slice before taking a tiny bite as a sample, eyes lighting up with joy.

"Jeez I'm that easy to read huh?" He smiled and took a piece and are it. "This was a pretty ingenious idea and this is delicious!" Rob looked at her and smiled. "So uh ... HAs Jordan talked to you... About me? At all?"

Miuna finished chewing her bite before speaking again. "No. We haven't talked at all. She's been so busy and she doesn't talk to me in between classes." Despite the cake in front of her, Miu's eyes dulled a bit as thought about whether Jordan really even liked her. Shoving those thoughts aside, she looked back up at Rob. "Is it hard, watching her with Ryan?"

 

[DrCompton]

Rob frowned a little. "Yeah... Earlier I saw them in the hallway getting close and I just thought my heart was gonna jump outta my chest... I am not looking forward to their more... Romantic scenes in the play." He looked at Miu, "at least we will be behind stage together able to eat cookies and what not."

"Will Mr. G let me bring cookies? They might get on the costumes." She giggled and shrugged. "I'll bring them anyways. We'll be the cooky cookie couple." Miu finished off her piece and reached for another. "I think you should tell her how you feel."

 

[Robin of Locksley]

"Transfer him elsewhere! The students already know and they're not happy about it. Tensions are going to come to the edge if you keep him here and it's all downhill from there."


The two argued for several minutes longer, with the principal finally snapping at him and mumbling a remark that only Alec could hear. But at that remark, Alec's face drained of blood and he turned and left the office immediately.

Ryder blinked in shock, hurrying after Alec. "Hey, man, what happened? He say something nasty to you?" He didn't want to pry, but sometimes it couldn't be avoided, especially with something as sudden as that.

Richard smiled at Charlotte.


" Sure, but first I want to ask


You something"


Richard took a big breath and prepared himself for what was going to happen next.


" There is this really cool theme park outside the school that has really awesome roller coasters and I was hoping you would like to come? We could go this night and we are probably not going to get caught... Probably"

"Tell her how I feel? I can't do that what if she hates me afterwards? I'd be crushed and go back to being a recluse." He frowned anlittle, "I just got use to having friends I don't wanna go and scare them all off!" He frowned more, them smiled a little, "but as long as I got you to be my cookie girl I've got a friend huh?"

Miuna sighed and tossed a chocolate chip at him. "She won't hate you. Have a little faith. The only way for you to know for sure if you have a chance is to ask her. Jordan's nice. She'll take you seriously. I promise." Miu smiled at his last comment. "I'll always be your friend, even if everyone hates you."
