Pan was absolutely furious with the wind Nymph at this point. How dare she question his right to dole out punishment. Moreover the way she was speaking to him was getting on his last nerve as well. What right did she have to address him in such a way?

"The only Infestation here Jasmine are those humans." Pan growled as he pointed at the gate she stood in front of. " As for God's right to punish them, that has become my right by virtue of the fact that he's not here!" Pan shouted in Latin as his power swelled with his rage. " The werewolves in my forest can be controlled like the beasts at my side. Those humans... all they do is take, destroy, and pervert the land God put ME in charge of. It was my job to make sure they coexisted with nature not dominate it! I failed my job back then, so it's only right I correct my mistake, and remind the humans about the importance of survival." Pan said kneeling down to Jasmine as he spoke so that they were face to face.

If course no matter how he felt about the issue Pan was limited on what he could do. As much as he wanted to wipe the earth clean of humans he knew that's not what God wanted in the long run. However the Culling of a few billion humans.... surely that was justified at this point. If the humans keep growing like they have been there won't be any nature left for them to exploit.

Pan stood up and spoke in English for the first time. " You humans are trespassing in my home... While I would love nothing more than to return you to the Earth and reduce your Colony to rubble my companion..." Pan looked down at Jasmine with an angry glare, " Has convinced me to stay my anger and speak. So trespassers, send your Alpha out to speak. " Pan then took a seat with a thump. " Give me a reason to let you stay in my home."

Elijah nodded at Aurora's suggestion, not that he was in any position to disagree in the first place. Leaving the clinic, he dashed toward the front gates, the sword's sheath bouncing against his leg as he ran. He didn't know what he could do to help against yet another deity -- but he could hardly stand by and watch, either. Drawing up to the gate, he heard a booming voice from beyond. There was no doubting who or what that belonged to, but Davenport couldn't tell who he was addressing. Listening closely to what the god had to say, Eli quickly texted William. The man was nowhere in sight, but he was likely at the command tent and needed to know what they were dealing with.

William shook his head at Brendan's question. "No, whatever it is, it's not from New York. Hypnos and his brother had nothing to say about it, either." Hearing Anna's remark, Hendrix pursed his lips. This was Elijah's field, not his. As if on cue, his phone vibrated and he quickly read the message. He turned to Brendan, his tone urgent. "Pan's pissed that we invaded his land. He's willing to talk." Hendrix paused. "It might be our best shot, Brendan. We don't know what he's capable of, even with a god or angel in our corner."

Chase prevented himself from asking Elijah to not tell Will, but he reassured the wolf that the other man would understand. So Chase decided to let it go, he was in no position to really say otherwise anyways. With both Elijah and Alaric leaving to help deal with whatever was going on Chase looked to Aurora, "I suspect I wouldn't be much help, and I can get out of your hair now." The man swallowed sheepishly before looking down at himself, "Though...walking around in a hospital gown might not be the best idea." Chase was at a loss as to what he could do about that, other than stealing clothes from anyone currently in the clinic who might be gowned already. "And my names Chase for the record, never got yours either."

He'd also like to lose the limp, though that was unlikely. He took a quick glance around the large stocked room before moving slowly to a pair of crutches which he slung under his arms, These'll do. Then in his line of sight he noticed a pile of blue scrubs sitting on a shelf. Grabbing the shirt and pants he slipped them on one at a time, "Could be worse." He said to Aurora, using the crutches to moved towards the cellar entrance he'd come down before turning around to look at the woman. "So I'm just going to slip out the way I came in. I know you said you didn't plan to tell anyone, but I still have to ask that you don't. I'm not a threat." As he spoke he'd moved up step by step, mostly from the draw of a distressed oracle that he didn't even realize was his next destination, but paused at the top.

Brendan glanced from William to Alaric and back again before nodding. "Go! Do what you need to do Hendrix, this is what you're here for." The man was beyond himself within this scope, he gave a reluctant grimace before stating. "The council will follow your direction on this, you have more experience dealing with gods than we do," He hated to admit the new councilmen was doing a decent enough job where he had very nearly failed more than once.

Brendan slowly shook his head to answer the angel. "We have no wind turbines here." He couldn't imagine what else he would be referring to.

Mackenzie's dark eyes opened to stare at the overhang of the porch in confusion. Head swam as she attempted to recall what she had been doing before ending up here. She had stepped outside, reached for the chain. Right hand shifted and she heard the jingling of the object in her hand. Then she passed out? She frowned then, closing her eyes with a sigh. She would be of no use at the walls, Oracle or not.

She pushed herself up to her elbows, head already spinning but she pursued, finally dragging herself up to her feet, clutching the railing to the porch for balance. She knew she couldn't just lay out front, as much as her head screamed and threatened to go dark again. If they were under attack she would be an easy target. Shuffling, she made it back into the house and down the hall. Only as far as the living room where she dragged herself to lay across the couch. Dark eyes closed once more, waiting for the pounding to stop.

Ashley retrieved her med-kit, slinging the single strapped bag over her shoulder before digging through the weapons box beneath the bed of Mac's car to retrieve her pistol and a clip of silver bullets. She slipped the gun behind her back onto her belt before closing the box and heading the rest of the way to the wall. She made it in time to hear the forest gods demands, yet another false god. Was all she could think. She caught sigh of Elijah near by and approached him.

"Glad to see you're alright. Did Alaric find you? He told me he was handling the wolf issue." She was slipping the knife he'd given her in New York from her belt, turning it over in her hand to hold to him hilt first. "Thanks for the loner."

As she approached the wall, she was out of breath. Yet, at the same time completely reared and ready to fight whatever it was beyond the gate until she heard the voice and knew of the being that was out there. It was the greek version of the God who was currently drinking mead with his divine allies and friends within her tent, warded from entering Midgard besides through first going back to Asgard and returning to Midgard without directly entering her hearth... It was the warding, and it was suggested by Odin himself have it done this way. Though, it was only Thor, son of Odin and protector of Midgard who was allowed to leave her tent casually without the original protocol.

Nevertheless, not knowing her enemy, she felt kind of stupid carrying silver weapons in being prepped for fighting what she had at first assumed was werewolves.

As Pan sat in front down in front of the gate waiting on the Colony to send their Alpha the Dire wolves began circling the Colony looking for weaknesses to exploit. The Vegetation continued forward stopping at the base of the walls. Once up against the walls the roots burrowed underground and began expanding into the Colony. On the surface the vegetation around the Wild God would bloom and grow at a greatly accelerated rate. If the humans waited an hour or so two fully grown maple trees would grow on either side of Pan as he waited.

Pan himself sighed and set down his Shepard staff and pulled out his reed pipes. While they can be used as a weapon, much like Hypnos' horn, Pan rarely used them for such a thing. Usually he would play during parties to... help people loosen up. However no such power flowed through his instrument as he played this time. He merely played as a way of occupying himself as he waited.

" Happy now Jasmine? I'm giving them the chance you think they deserve. Now if they manage to pass my trial I'll let them stay... but only if they complete it. " Pan told his Nymph companion in Latin. As much as he didn't like to think about it Jasmine has been a positive influence in his life. So he tended to listen to her over his own impulses. She had yet to steer him wrong before, but Pan wasn't one to just submit.

Elijah smiled, taking the knife back from Ash with a thankful nod. "Likewise. Yes, I managed to track down Chase and Alaric." He paused before continuing. Chase hadn't mentioned Ashley... Eli had little doubt she could keep the secret, but now wasn't the time. "The wolf's been handled."

William nodded to Brendan, turning to march out of the tent without another word. He was making his way to the front gate. He was somewhat dizzy from fatigue -- physical and mental -- but the adrenaline was keeping him going nonetheless. Arriving at the front of the gate, he spotted Elijah and Ashley. Catching his eye, Davenport approached. "Good to see you're all right," he said, eyes narrowing at the sight of dried blood on his head. "...More or less."

Will chuckled. "Same to you." He sighed. "Someone in the command tent said this was 'Pan'? Does that ring any bells?"

Elijah nodded. "The Greek god of the wilds. That would fit, based on what I've heard from him."

Hendrix frowned. "What's he after?"

"As best I can tell? He's unhappy with the audacity of us mere mortals colonizing his home here in the wilderness. He said he's willing to give us a chance... he wants to meet out Alpha," Eli finished, quietly.

Will nodded, slowly. He started to turn toward the walls, but Elijah placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're going out there? Alone?"

"I've got to, Eli. There's no way around it. He doesn't strike me as the type to give up and go home. This is his home. And we don't know if we have what it takes to put him down if it comes to that. Trust me on this," his tone lightened as a smirk appeared on his face. "I'm getting to be an expert when it comes to dealing with gods."

With a sigh, Davenport relented, stepping back. "Good luck."

Will nodded, climbing up the nearest rope ladder to the top of the wall. The sentries, clutching their rifles nervously as they watched the circling wolf pack and the god, nodded to him. "I'll need you to lower me down." Hendrix said. The guards tore their looks away from the threats outside to stare at him as if he was insane, but his stern glare brooked no dissent. Hendrix didn't want to risk trying to open the gate, given the circumstances. Rigging up a rope ladder, they tossed it over the side. Hendrix lowered himself down, more than a little ungraceful in his movements. Finally hitting the ground, he signaled for them to pull the ladder up before turning to face Pan, walking slowly forward.

Once a human had finally made their way down Pan stayed seated and the wolves stopped circling their master and sit on either side of him. The beasts would eye the human as he approached and growled as the human got within 20 feet of Pan. The God himself simply hissed and the wolves went silent.

Pan sniffed the air as he human stood in front of him. The man's scent was... strange. There was a mixture of blood and... Divinity? Just the faintest hint of it, but still it was there.... a prophet? Oracle? That would explain how the Colony knew to prepare. Pan put his pipes away and set his staff on his lap.

"A cripple? Is a wounded warrior truly the best you trespassers have to represent yourselves? " Pan asks talking to the people on the wall without acknowledging William yet. Pan scoffed and them looked down at this Colonies Alpha. He of all people knew that a wounded bear was still powerful, but he still wanted to test the man. What sort of man was this Alpha?

" Alright then 'Alpha', What are you called? Why have entered my home and made it your own, and why shouldn't I run you off?"

Ashley nodded hearing he'd seen to Chase and that he confirmed Alaric would be handling the wolf issue. At this points one less thing on their plate was all the better for them. She watched William stride toward them, seriously believing Will didn't know what a normal pace was: she'd only ever seen him march from place to place. Though, she thought. He is former military. Which also made him perfect for Mac: someone strict and firm to counter her wild and wayward ways.

She listened to William and Eli's interaction quite put off by the whole matter. "Alpha." Ashley stated simply after William was gone to climb the wall, she watched Elijah out of the corner of her eye, gauging his mood. "And what, do you suppose, Pan will do with the Alpha when he's not satisfied with him?" It was a rhetorical question. Pan, like any other god would not only annihilate William, but the rest of the colony along with him.

She frowned and glanced back towards the house, wondering where Mackenzie was. It was unlike her not to be out in the middle of trouble and far less, as of late, this far from trouble when it involved William. "She's going to be pissed." She said to Elijah, a smirk crossing her lips. "When she finds out you let him go out there alone." She was still looking towards the house, and slowly shook her head. "Somethings up. Mac should be here." She took one last look towards the wall to see William disappear over the other side before turning towards the house. "I'll be back."

As Will strode toward Pan, he suddenly became very aware of the fact that he was unarmed. His knife was still embedded in the heart of a werewolf back in New York and Alaric had poofed his gun away to god knows where.

Damn it. I'll have to get that back, he thought wryly. The fatigue was making him slightly more whimsical than he might normally be while confronting a god, but the adrenaline pumping through his body and his rapid increase in heart rate kept him grounded. As he came within twenty feet of Pan, the god's lupine sentries let out a warning growl. Will halted, not particularly interested in pressing his luck.

"A cripple? Is a wounded warrior truly the best you trespassers have to represent yourselves? Alright then 'Alpha', What are you called? Why have entered my home and made it your own, and why shouldn't I run you off?"

William looked up at the deity, not flinching at the mention of his injury. It was no worse than he'd once told himself. When he spoke his voice was steady -- not defiant, but not meek, either. "My name is William. I'm in charge of the defense of our settlement, Vitae." He paused, considering his words carefully. Who knew what would set Pan off? "I have not been here long, but I know that those who originally settled on this land did not intend to trespass. They were ignorant of your claim, merely wanting a safe place to call their own."

"And what, do you suppose, Pan will do with the Alpha when he's not satisfied with him?"

Elijah clenched his jaw at Ashley's question, staring at the wall instead of facing her. No witty retort came to mind, no joke to make light of the situation. That was his friend out there, his partner. "Nothing good," he muttered quietly. "For any of us." Even the mention of Mackenzie's wrath did little to sway him; he was already doing a fine job of punishing himself.

"I'll be back."

Eli cast a look toward Ash and nodded absently, hand resting on the hilt of his blade.

Alaric was following Eli and William and smiled and waved at Ashley as she approached them. He watched as she returned a knife to him, then walked up next to her. "Yes, the beast has been dealt with," he says with a confident flash of his smile as they approached the wall. He listened as William began to speak with the god. 'Alpha', what a primitive term, or so he thought and he sighed shaking his head.

"Is William any good when it comes to physical prowess?" he asks looking at Ashley with a very sober and serious look on his face. Knowing a god like Pan, his trials were going to require extreme physical capability, and he was going to expect it from the alpha, just like in a wolf pack. "Because if not, he just doomed the colony," he says with a grave frown. Before she answered however she started to leave, he decided to follow, as he was concerned for Mackenzie as well.

He followed her to the house.

Aurora looked at Chase and quickly followed after him. "I better come with you, just to make sure you don't tear your stitches and things," she said simply as she followed him out, looking around the colony. This was her first time seeing outside the clinic and she blinked. "This is quite the set up," she said, blinking while following him.

Jasmine sighed, still not satisfied with him, but when the 'Alpha' of Vitae came out she moved to stand next to the sitting Pan, looking the mortal over. She knew what Pan had in store, and someone wounded was not going to be able to make the cut, so she frowned gravely. She sent a gentle breeze past William's ear, with a message in her voice, as though it was carried upon the wind. "You are not fit enough to pass his challenge, I advise you bring someone else forth as your Alpha."

That was all the message said before the breeze was gone as quickly as it was there. Jasmine leaned against Pan gently, a soft smile upon her lips.

Pan watched this William as he explained why the Colony was here. They were seeking shelter from something... then they had a right to find a safe haven. However Pan wasn't going to just give them a place in his forest. They would need to earn it.

" I see... so you entered seeking shelter. I will not fault you for that. However... if your colony wishes to stay in my forest you must earn your place. If you complete my trial I will allow you to keep your place in my forest. If you fail... " Pan allowed his voice to wander off. The god assumed the Alpha knew the consequences.

"Now... I will allow your colony one last chance. Are you certain you are the Alpha?"

Chase shoved the cellar doors open before stepping out with Aurora following, the woman wanted to tag along. She claimed it was for his benefit, "I could always fix them myself..." He muttered as she passed him by but he wasn't going to tell her she couldn't come, besides she seemed rather curious about the area surprisingly. "I'd just assumed you were a colonist or hunter but you aren't are you?" Chase was already heading towards what he still assumed was William's house using the crutches. A part of him wasn't a fan of it, leg be damned he could do it but to be honest with the silver still not cleared from his system he still didn't have the greatest balance.

Dad would have a fit if he knew what just went down. Since he'd come to Vitae two days ago the amount of living people who knew he was a Werewolf had nearly doubled. Chase felt both a small sense of relief and nervousness about it. The man had been lost in his thoughts when he spotted a rather disoriented looking Mackenzie entering the front door of the home, thus his pace increased with the crutches clunking against the ground with each step. And once they'd arrived Chase placed both crutches in one hand and grabbed the railing with the other as he quickly eased himself up the stairs and onto the porch.

The door stood wide open where she'd left it, "Mackenzie?" He called out before leaning inside to look before entering, the last thing he wanted was his head blown off.
NanLia NanLia Nidelia Nidelia

"Mackenzie?" A male voice caused her to stir. Dark eyes opened and she gazed around the living rooms slowly. Had she actually heard a voice? She frowned pushing herself up and tossing her glasses onto the coffee table with a sigh. She was starting to feel better. Or, at the very least, not as shitty as she had been, pills seemed to be working to relieve some of the throbbing in her skull. She shifted and stretched her back, giving a slight wince as she felt the still healing sutures pull at her skin. She paused, becoming perfectly still as she heard a noise from the front of the house.

She assumed Hypnos would keep his end of the deal, not that he was bound to it, but would keep her and the colony safe. Though she had no doubt this would occur with brain splitting visions, but she'd take whatever help she could. Slowly she rose from the couch, moving carefully through the living room back towards the hall. She peered around the corner to see Chase, dressed in scrubs, leaning in. "Um, Hi." She assumed this visit was directed to William, why else would the hunter she hadn't really said anything pleasant to be visiting her? Behind him she could see a woman following. "Come in, Will's not here, but he'll be back soon."

Ashley paused on her way back to the house, turning to face Alaric. "So I have to ask." She said, looking up at the man. "How is it you accidentally brought a wolf back with us from New York and left Chase behind?" It was a hard notion for Ashley to understand, given her strong belief in God and his Angels, she was under the impression that they were perfection. They were made superior to humans in strength and intelligence. Whilst she could understand human error; they were created with flaws, she didn't understand how Alaric could make that sort of blunder, given it's severity to both Colony and Chase.

Bart watched and assisted William climb down to speak to Pan, he had watched with doubt in his heart of the fate of Vitae. This was twice in one day, three times in two that a god had come to threaten their existence. While he believed they were doing good here, working together to ensure their mutual survival, he was beginning to have doubts of how long that would last. Borseti was an example of a colony that pushed too far and where were they now?

Shortly after William spoke to Pan and was requesting the Alpha for a challenge. Soon enough I'm going to have Mac up here trying to get out too. He turned and half expected to see the fiery red head at the wall but instead he spotted the witch he'd let in earlier. Uncertain still of her reasoning for being in the colony, he doubted William had time to speak to her first. He moved to call down to her. "Can you heal?" He had little doubt by the end of today someone was going to need to be stitched back together.

Will closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Was he ready for a trial? It was difficult to answer, not knowing what Pan would cook up for the "Alpha". Still, there was no denying he wasn't in the best condition at the moment.

"You are not fit enough to pass his challenge, I advise you bring someone else forth as your Alpha."

Will's eyes snapped open, looking for the source of the voice. It was almost ethereal, not so much entering his ear as gently passing by. A female voice, unquestionably. Looking at Pan, he saw the form of a young woman alongside the god. She barely looked be out of her teens, her hair as bright as starlight. She was smiling easily, not the least bit aloof despite the company she kept. Who was she? Another god, or one of Pan's servants? Either way, how could he trust what she had to say... even if she did have a point.

But what else could he do? Volunteer someone else for the job, offering them up as a sacrificial lamb in the process? Vitae was his responsibility, for better or worse.

Will opened his mouth to reply, "Ye--"

"I am the Alpha here," a voice rang out behind him.

William whirled around, though he'd recognize that London accent and the confidence beneath it anywhere. Elijah stood at the wall, the rope ladder being raised behind him as he strode forward. The young man inclined his head toward Pan. "Khaíre, Lord of the Wilds. Welcome to Vitae."

Will stepped in closely, turning his head so that he was speaking just over Elijah's shoulder. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" he hissed, his tone no less harsh for the low volume.

Eli shrugged. "I said I'd let you talk to him alone, and I did. This trial is another story. You're not up for this, Will."

"Bullshit," Hendrix said. "Neither of us has any idea what the 'trial' will be. You're not any more prepared for this than I am."

Elijah raised his eyebrows, looking Hendrix up and down with obvious implications.

William was undeterred. "I'm not putting someone else in danger for my own sake."

Elijah scoffed. "Very noble of you, Will. Get yourself killed and the Colony along with you when you drop dead from exhaustion. The bards will sing songs of your bravery... until Pan wipes them out, that is."

There was a pause. As Will stared defiantly at his partner, but Davenport could see a chink in his armor. "This is the only smart play. You know it." William lowered his eyes, slightly. Now for the master stroke. "Go, get back inside. Check on Mac. I think something might be wrong."

William deflated, the tension in his muscles draining. "Be careful," he said quietly.

Eli grinned. "When am I not?"

With that, Hendrix turned on his heel and made his way back toward the rope ladder being lowered. Davenport turned back to Pan, nodding once. "Apologies."

Pan listened to the exchange silently as he waited for one of them to identify as the Alpha. " Alpha indeed... You seem to know me, but who are you?" The wild god asked curious as to where he learned that name.

This one certainly seemed more capable than that William. For one his body was whole, and this one seemed to have the will to survive. If Pan could smile in this form it would be from ear to ear.

"I am Elijah," he answered, his tone even. "I am a defender of this colony. I will gladly partake in whatever challenge you have in store for me," Eli said, with a confidence he didn't quite feel.

How was there any preparing for a divine challenge? He'd read about them often enough at university: the trials of Hercules and Odysseus... but he'd learned by now that the myth didn't always quite measure up to real life, for better or worse.

William had ascended the rope ladder unsteadily, but didn't climb down the wall. Instead he stood alongside the sentries, watching the exchange, unblinking. He couldn't force himself away just yet, not with his friend facing down a god in his stead.

As she stood there waiting for an order to do, whatever needed to be done? She was surprised when she was pointed out directly in a request to heal. Nodding, she looked over to the male before pulling her leather satchel from around her back and reached inside the enchanted leather bag. Once again, having to restrain herself from taking the herbalism kit and making a healing paste or potion, her attention was then fixated on the military grade first aid kit... How she got that, she couldn't exactly remember, but low and behold; there it was.

Pulling it out, she nodded to him, "This is all I can offer at the moment. Nevertheless, hopefully, it will be enough."

She was quite familiar with medical procedures, having to treat herself while out in the woods and during hunting was a true test of that capability. Although, treating another person may prove to be difficult as she didn't know their body as intimately as she knew her own... Nevertheless, it was requested of her and she had officially set her mind to healing anyone who came to her wounded!

Pan suddenly burst out in laughter. His laugh echoed through the forest. This human was certainly an interesting one! Truly he was deserving of the title of Alpha!

"Very good, I like your spirit Elijah. Just for that I will give you time to prepare yourself. Meet me back here at Twilight. However bring no tools and I don't want to see any magic on you either. " Pan said glancing over the the fiery haired witch on the wall. This will be a test of your instinct to survive Elijah. So by all means... if there's a woman you're pining for now would be the time." Pan said allowing his power over inhibition to seep into his words. " You have my word that any children within your walls will be spared should you fail."

Elijah nodded to Pan. "Very well," he remarked. He felt dizzy for a moment after hearing Pan speak -- a warm buzz filling his chest, like he'd had one beer too many... yet he didn't feel impaired by the sensation. Shaking his head, he turned on his heel and walked back to the wall, patiently waiting for the rope ladder to be lowered before ascending. Scanning his surroundings, he caught a glimpse of Will's back as the man walked toward the Colony interior.

William had stayed long enough to hear Pan's decree before making his way back to the house. Stepping onto the front porch, he called out, "Mac? You in there?"

He wasn't happy about the arrangement with the god and Elijah, but at least they'd have time to prepare this way. For the moment, however, Eli's words about Mac were sticking with him.

Alaric chuckled. "My aim was probably off from that horn of Hypnos's," he says simply with a charming smile in her direction. "I even had to deafen myself from it to not be effected," he adds simply. "I may be an Angel, but he's still a God," he continues. "And I would appreciate it from now on if you don't compare me to the other Angel's in Heaven. You actually would not like them, as I also don't for the same reasons you wouldn't," he says flatly, and with a genuine tone of pain in his voice as he then walked around her and continued walking towards the house and saw Chase. He paused and turned around. "But he is back now and the Werewolf is dead, so that's all that matters," he adds with a smile, as he stepped out of her view so she could see Chase standing at the door of the house, with the strange woman next to him.

She shook her head at Chase's question. "No, I only got here just this morning. My brother's and I were answering Vitae's call," she says as she follows him up to the house. She looks to Mackenzie and smiles, waving. "Hi, I'm Aurora, I just got here this morning," she says cheerfully and with a bright smile. Mackenzie was pretty, in her opinion, and very worth giving a good cheerful reaction to seeing, though she could also tell that Mackenzie was stressed and and such, so she also thought the cheerful demeanor would be good for her.

emilia_by_riief-da79vbr.jpg

Jasmine frowned, watching them. Her eyes landed Elijah and she raised a curious eyebrow, and smirked. He was quite handsome, maybe some fun with him before the events with Pan would be fun? She stood up, no longer leaning on Pan as she stretched. "Well Pan, I will see you later, enjoy your evening," she says waving at him and starting to walk away from him towards the colony. She found it amusing that of everything that the colony was warded against, Nymph's weren't one of them. Then again, a lot of people forgot that they existed. Not to mention the work to ward off every single type of Nymph.

Chase moved into the home once Mac greeted them, "Oh, well I suspected as much with what's going on out there. I saw you looking pretty unsteady out on the porch, thought I'd check in. Possibly take a load off here because honestly the barracks aren't exactly the quietest place." Once inside Aurora greeted the other woman, making Chase feel momentarily awkward for bringing a stranger into the home, but Eli had met her so it wasn't that bad.

He'd still only been just inside and setting the crutches against the wall when Will's voice calling for Mac came, in his mind he debated on whether Eli had time to tell Will about his being a werewolf. Turning around to look at the entryway he decided to wait and see if he got any sort of stink-eye or if any silver decided to show it's head. That would be more than enough of a gauge at that. "Thought you were dealing with that mess out there. Or was it that quick of a problem?"

Ashley gave Alaric a hard look, "He's a false god, not God, who created you. I would have thought you would be immune to him, to at least equal to his power." Eyes traveled past him towards the house were Chase was stepping through the threshold with a strange woman and William was barreling past them. She had little doubt of his destination, but it made her frown. If he was here, who was the Alpha?

She paused and looked back towards the walls, where she had left Elijah and frowned. Guilt ridden, she turned back towards the walls. She hadn't meant to make Elijah feel like he needed to do anything. She regretted her comments about Pan and what he'd do the Alpha and the rest if William failed. While she knew William wouldn't leave Eli in a lurch, she needed to see if there was something she could do to help, or avoid whatever it was the god wanted from them.

At the wall she found herself at Sibéal side once more, she gave the other woman a short smile before looking to Bart and Eli. "What's going on?" It was more to Eli than Bart, knowing the Official wouldn't answer her unless he felt she was directly involved.

Mackenzie watched Chase's odd walk, a slight limp as he moved into the front of the house. She tilted her head aside with a questioning frown. "I'll be alright, it's been a very long day." She nodded towards the chairs and couch in the room behind her. "The barracks really aren't pleasant." She idly thought maybe she could speak to Brendan about getting a better residence since it seemed their group of bandits had increased beyond what this house was capable of housing. It became clear to her that others hadn't made it out of New York unscathed. "Did you get hurt in New York?" She was wholly unaware of any wolves or any resistance beyond the Song from the Horn.

She regarded the blond as she followed Chase into the house. She was oddly perky, it reminded her of Ashley. "Hi Aurora, the name's M-"

"Mac? You in there?"

She looked past Aurora to the outdoors but she couldn't see William, light from the exterior of the house making her eyes water. "We're in here." She called out to him. She didn't think she had the balance to try and make it to the front door, so she remained where was was, standing in the hall to the living room.

Hearing Mac's reply, William entered the house, surprised to see Chase and a blond-haired woman he hadn't yet seen at Vitae along with her.

"Thought you were dealing with that mess out there. Or was it that quick of a problem?"

Will sighed. "It's a long story... and it's nowhere near over. Elijah is taking the lead with it for the time being," he said, trying and failing to keep his tone even and his face free of a grimace. Features softening, he nodded to the unfamiliar woman. "Will Hendrix," he said, as politely as he could manage.

A frown of confusion appeared as he looked back to Chase, eyes ranging up and down his body clinically. "You all right? What happened in New York?" As he waited for a reply, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Mackenzie -- standing in the corridor -- appeared almost as unsteady as he was. He'd have to check in with her soon... given her track record, there was no telling what effect her vision from earlier and Pan's presence was having on her.

Elijah crossed his arms as he acknowledged Ashley and Bart. "Our friendly visitor is Pan, another Greek god. He's less than pleased about us having set up shop in his home, but the good news he's willing to allow our 'Alpha' to prove themselves in a trial. The Alpha succeeds, he doesn't wipe us out. About par for the course for us, in other words," he said whimsically. After a brief pause, he added, "...I'm the Alpha."

She looked up at the girl who she'd previously met and flirted with, yet, now the buzz had worn off and she was much more concerned with assuring she had everything she needed to take care of anyone who came to her hurt, "I was instructed to become the temporary medic. Hopefully my skills in first-aid and treating wounds will pay off..."
