Solomon was a bit surprised when Sandy said she wanted to leave. He didn't have a watch, but he was vaguely certain not too much time had passed. Then again he regularly spends days at a time drawing and perfecting magic formulae without too much trouble so maybe his sense of time wasn't to be trusted. Though he was happy to hear that she would look into joining the council, and even happier that she wanted to meet again. "I would love to have dinner with you. I'll leave you with my phone number so you can contact me. Just let me know when is good for you... But at least a 30 minute warning would be appreciated." The sorcerer said with a chuckle as he penned down his number and slid it to her. " I hope you have pleasant dreams and I look forward to seeing you this evening. " With their meal finished Solomon escorted her to the door, and wished her farewell before moving on to his plan for the day: demon hunting. Making his way back to his apartment Solomon would need to grab a few things in preparation: the gun he had recently purchased from the Colony as well as the bullets he had inscribed with his magic. He would also take Pan with him. Though the god's combat capabilities had greatly diminished the god could still help him find a suitable crossroads from which to summon a demon. It took Solomon roughly 10 minutes to gear up and leave his apartment. As he made his way to the gate a sudden realization hit Solomon: He didn't have a vehicle. He traveled using public transportation and cabs to avoid any tails. As the sorcerer resolved for a long walk he sensed the malevolent nature of one of those foxes, but he couldn't pinpoint where. Pan helped him narrow the area by a large margin, and with the help of some enchanted eyeglasses Solomon managed to track down the fox or more specifically Da Ji. "I do hope your not causing trouble Empress." Solomon said dryly as he approached the fox.

Chase snorted when Emile claimed he wasn't patient but actually just old, but didn't get the chance to counter as the other man continued with the subject of trust. He hated that Emile felt so strongly hurt about his own issues with it. If it had just been him the trust would have been easier to some extent, but there were a number of lives involved so he
to wait until last night. But last night hadn't been about trust, and his smile faded into a more apologetic one. "Last night wasn't about trust I just...I was afraid to get the pack involved, I made a split-second decision because I didn't want anymore pack blood spilled because of me." There was so much he was trying to protect that he might have been over-thinking, not to mention Morgan hadn't tried to contact them either. Chase huffed lightly, "I know you want me to work more with the pack, rely on the idea more. But after I saw Trent's body, I just...hesitated. It's still new to me, but like you said we'll learn."

The subject seemed over and Chase took it on himself to go back to a lighter tone, "Old and slow my ass." He chuckled, "You planted that kiss on me the day after we met, that was hardly slow Emile." Giving the mans hips a small pat he stepped back so they both had their own space, briefly he glanced over at Joe's grave and back at Emile. "Ash invited us over for breakfast if you're up for it, she wants to meet you. No doubt she's going be barraging you with a million questions, I wouldn't let my guard down around her if I were you." Chase smiled amusingly, "And I could fill you in on the rest that happened along the way. Didn't get the chance last night."

Ginny smiles, her job done, and goes to reward herself with some breakfast. She doesn’t need to eat a lot, since blood makes up the majority of her diet, now that she doesn’t have to hunt. She used to have to eat more, because blood was so hard to come by.

Since she’s come to the colony, and has a steady supply of blood from Franklin, she’s gaining strength quickly. She’s glad that she’ll be at full capacity when the time comes, and she’s been training hard with Tara and the hunters, though she’s kept the two seperate for obvious reasons. She needs to learn how these people function, as well as working on her abilities.

She sits down a bit away from the others, and digs into her food, grinning. She’s confident that they’ve at least got a fighting chance, and right now, she needs that hope.

Da Ji had endured as much of the council's politics as she could, it was so boring and long when she could not influence them herself. She decided to slip out of the Rec Center as quietly and stealthily as possible, the fact that she hadn't even alerted her father to her departure was a point of pride to her, and made her way through the colony. Da Ji wondered what she could be doing at this moment, she wasn't allowed to cause mischief as it would harm the overall mission of everyone not dying and there was no point in going to look for Himiko, if she wasn't here she was most likely in the woods enjoying her true form. Da Ji let out a small sigh and turned just in time to see what smelled like a Djinn run past her, Inari had said something about training a Djinn in magic... at least it wouldn't be boring. She started to follow the girl before she was distracted by someone calling her Empress and she stopped in her tracks.

Da Ji turned to look at the one who called out to her and visibly rolled her eyes in annoyance, "If I were causing trouble Man of Letters, you would be none the wiser and most certainly would not be able to hinder it. As it stands, no, I am not causing trouble and do not appreciate your accusations that I was. Do keep in mind that I am someone who was, as you said, an Empress and have extensive knowledge on how to be diplomatic." She admonished the Solomon as though he were a young child who had asked an insensitive question. She took a lock of her hair and began twirling it about her finger as she talked, clearly more interested with her beautifully maintained hair than the conversation at hand.

Jordan let out a small yawn as the humans finished their talks when he got a message on his phone. He took it out and looked at the message from an agent of his in Chicago, it simply said 'does this person look familiar?' and had a picture attachment on it. Inari's face gave a look that was a mix between disbelief and slight embarrassment. He quickly put his phone away and turned to his Vampire compatriot.

"Well. Do you have any plans for the rest of the day? I would be honored to spend more time with another monster, it gets a bit dull being around just your own~"

He sighed, how she could completely miss all his points and cling to the fact that he had lied baffled him. Thor met her gaze "What you said about having knowledge of gods, angels and all that just contradicted what I just heard, so allow me to respond to what you said one thing at a time." He took a deep breath. "So I haven't acted any differently have I? Besides the fact that I've lied to you, something I just apologised for, I have done you no wrong. You'd be dead if it wasn't for me. And no, not taking his grace doesn't make me a good person, and nor was that something I even claimed. I said, and I repeat again, if I had meant you any harm, or simply not cared about you, I would have taken it. And oh no, me taking the grace would have done the angels' job for them. Their concern is the fact that Nephilim tend to lay waste to worlds as they grow into their power, with me having the grace there would have been no such risk. And they wouldn't have wanted me as an enemy after it anyway."

He continued "I see you are eager to make no distinction between me and other deities, so let me explain something. No, I am no human, I am a being that has been around since the creation of the Universe, I can do and I know things you can't even process, so forgive me if my etiquette isn't the best. If you want to see me as arrogant for being honest about what I am capable of, feel free to. As for Pan, I had no knowledge of what was happening until I arrived, and once I had been brought up to speed it was already too late. The only one who truly could have done something was Alaric. That forest was thick with Pan's magic, I would have been forced to dismantle it before I could have retrieved Elijah and William, Pan would have sensed it and likely killed them out of spite for me spoiling his game. Something in turn that would have led to me killing him, and invoking the wrath of Zeus instead. I do not fear him, but I have responsibilities towards my kin, the Greek Pantheon is not a joke, even for one as mighty as the Norse. And I won't cross him for no reason."

He liked Ash, but he wouldn't suffer what she just had said "Redeem myself? I owe you nothing, I ask for respect aye, that is because I've earned it. I've saved more of your kind than this entire Colony put together, by far. I've hunted down hives of vampires, groups of demons, dragons, even Leviathans when your kind saw fit to free them from Purgatory. I came to your aid when Pan threatened the entire Colony, I saved your life, I put myself between you and the Heavenly Host, hell I even travelled into the Abyss and faced the First Sin on my own, risking my life with the hope that I could stop him or at least buy the world some time before he arrives. Don't presume to claim the moral high ground when you yourself has done next to nothing, nor dismiss fair questions about your reasoning as whining."

Solomon chuckled as Da Ji began acting the way most monsters acted when talking to a human, arrogant about their abilities. The older a monster was the worse it became, but as much as Solomon enjoyed DaJi's wonderful personality he did approach her for a reason. "Yes yes of course if you were REALLY trying there wouldn't be a thing I could do to stop you." Solomon in a placating tone as if agreeing with a child that the sky is purple. "I thought one as... Experienced as you would have a good humor, but pardon my assumption. At any rate I didn't seek you out to have this 'debate' on what you COULD do, but rather to ask you if you would wanted to cut loose for a bit. Since the Heavenly Host severely injured Pan I am in the need of a new... Let's call it a foot man. A demon more specifically. I'm sure you've been died to flex that power since your freedom, and I won't deny that you would make an excellent judge for the strength of a demon. I can't just have some low-level soldier at my disposal after all."

Elijah watched the exchange between Ashley-May and Edgar anxiously. He had seen Ash angry before -- most notably at him -- but this was nonetheless a different side to her. He wasn't sure how Thor would react, despite his obvious attempts to try and keep some veneer of civil discussion where none would be had. Eli was beginning to be perturbed; he had no ill will toward Thor aside from what little petty jealousy had eroded away when he thought him some hunter winning over Ash's affections. He respected the deity for his sacrifice against the First Sin, not to mention helping him heal. But there was a limit to how much he would stand here and watch the two berate one another. "That's enough," he said quietly, but firmly, reaching behind him to squeeze Ash's hand.

He stepped toward Thor. "No one's ignorant to what you've done for us, Odinson. But... now is not the time to have this discussion. Perhaps it's best you settle in at the barracks now that you're one of us... as it were." Elijah stepped aside to allow the god access to the door. "And you're right, by the way," he said quietly. "...your etiquette needs work."

William was momentarily confused at the mention of Mackenzie's brother until she saw both women make their way for the door. It struck him very suddenly then: Brody had heard his speech and been unaware of just what Mac was now. He would be looking for her despite his absence. He shook his head, turning to follow both girls outside.

As Addy followed behind Morgan, eyes scanning for any sign of Brody, she spotted him in the distance making his way toward the Clinic. "You're the only one that will be able to talk to him," she said reluctantly. "Just... be careful, okay?"

Franklin was taken a little aback as Inari put out an invitation to him to join the Alpha on what Franklin could only assume was errands for him. He chuckled a little, taking a quick stock of his Nest - those that chose to come and listen to the humans, before nodding. "I can certainly spend the day outside and away from the colony. It's been two weeks since we arrived and I have grown tired of being this close to so many humans." He smiled to the kitsune Alpha. "We can leave whenever you are ready."

Ashley-May felt her rage broil within her as Thor, once again, proved her point about his own arrogance. She was about to speak but Elijah cut in. She bit her cheek keeping herself silent, even with the warning from her love. She knew Eli would make strives to keep the peace with a pagan god like Thor or Hypnos but Ash couldn't see the benefit of having them so close at hand. Deciding it was best to make the first move she returned Elijah's squeeze to her hand before turning and stepping away, back to the kitchen to check on the food in the oven. At some point Chase was going to be here, and she truly wanted to be in a better mood.

Ash had hoped this would be a new start to a new day and a different life. Liam didn't have his Grace, they weren't being hunted down and while neither of them would ever fall back into 'normal' setting she knew this was as close as it could ever come. Thor, and their argument, had soured her happy feelings for the day. Retrieving her lap top that Will had delivered she opened it up and set her iTunes to play at random, wanting nothing more than the ill feelings, and the god, to go away.

Morgan had paused with Addy just outside the Rec center to look for where Brody had gone. She had faced the road - the direction that lead to the Clinic but Addy pointed him out as he headed for the parking lot and his car. She nodding to Addy, only slightly disappointed when she cautioned her to be careful, Brody wasn't a monster, nor was he a man that was prone to violence; at the very least never directed at herself or another pack member. He was the Packs Guardian but despite his intimidating size and attitude the man was nothing but a softy at heart. She jogged down the path to his side and reached for his hand to stop him.

Brody was surprised, at first, that Morgan had chased him down, then confused as the female wolf stepped in front of him and placed her hands on his arms, stopping his forward motion. "She's gone." He heard her say and for a second he didn't know who she was talking about. It clicked suddenly and he shook his head. "What, where?" He could already see by her features that she didn't have the answer. He raised his hands to his head and ran them through his hair, mind reeling as he tried to come up with where his sister may have fled to. Fifteen years since he'd last seen her and he was so close to getting her back.

"They said she called her friend, Ash, and she told her that she was coming back." Morgan offered but when he asked her when she winced. "I.. .I don't know." She glanced around Brody to where Addy and Will were still headed this way, waving them closer with the hope that either of them had a better answer.

She stood in the center of a small log and wood home, overlooking three children seated around a large dining table. Each of the children aged 5, 7 and 11 read a study book before them and scribbled down their notes on parchment paper. She slowly paced behind them, a small smile on her lips as she watched their furious dedication as the finished their work. Her rules were simple: if you completed you studies, correctly and efficiently she had no reason for them not to spend their day playing outside in the snow.

The door burst open and a man stepped through carrying a bundled object in his arm. Behind him a woman cried and moaned. "Please, save my baby, save my little girl." With them the cold whipped through he small home and she gently touched the eldest child on the shoulder. "Close the door Jeremiah and build up the fire." She glanced at the middling child. "Maria, put a second pot on to boil." She nodded as her youngest - Nathan, already hurried around the table removing the center piece and papers. "Set him down here, Mr. Bartlett, let me have a look."

***

Hours into the night she stretched from her work, pressing her knuckles into her back to try and relieve the knots. The children had been sent to bed, her husband long since snoring. Mrs. Bartlett still paced along the long dining table while her husband had returned home an hour before. "The fevers broke." She said quietly, removing the cool damp cloth from the child's forehead. "So long as she caught it in time he should recover." She looked up into the relieved gaze of the other mother. "He needs rest, a few days in bed at least. Only liquids. I'll send Jerimiah over in the morning with herbs to give him and instructions - spoken not written."

That had been two weeks before, she recalled, she had saved that boy's life and what has she gained for it?

Last night, while she was serving dinner to her family the local Militia and Mr. Bartlett, the town Governor himself and the father of the child she saved had stormed into her home and arrested her and her family. Called them witches, Satan’s followers and accused her of placing a curse of the dead on his son.

She knelt in the cold dark cell huddled with her frightened children, uncertain of what would become of them. Her husband had not been arrested - men could not be witches according to the Governor. The door to the cell squealed open and her husband followed by two Militia officers stepped towards her barred cell. He looked nervous, but the man had always been a nervous one. "They said they will let the children go, let them be free if you plead guilty before the judge tomorrow. If you tell them you are a witch the kids will be allowed to live."

What choice did she have? She wanted to scream, to cry and to fight, wanted to run and take her kids with her. It was her own fault she was here - she had condemned herself to this fate. She nodded as her husband and he looked relieved, soon escorted out of the cell block. The door closed and she leaned down to kiss each of her children's heads. "Don't fear, my lovies, you'll be home safe and warm soon enough."

The following morning she was dragged through the cold muddy streets from the cellblocks to the courthouse, the towns folk watching and hissing - throwing stones and rotten food at her. She was thankful to see those that she had saved did not, though deeply disappointed that they didn't not try and help her. She couldn't blame them. Any of the men, women or children that spoke for her, that tried to tell the town that she was good and not borne of evil would only find the same fate as herself. Into the courtroom she was forced to kneel and wait for the judge.

"The Governor accuses this woman kneeling before the court of witchcraft, of sleeping with the devil and of using the black arts. He witness, with his own eyes, her use magic to breath the devils life back into his deceased son; he should have died on that night, to the fever that took so many others, and yet he is here today, alive and well. It is the devils work and his soul will ever suffer for it. How do you plead?"

She turned to face the judge, refusing to by shy and hide. "I claim that I did save that boys life, and that if it weren't for me and my magic he would be dead now." There was a gasp and ruckus around the courtroom and men spoke over each other. Hang her! Drown her! Burn her! The judge quieted them and she continued. "My magic does not come from the devils seed but by the earth mothers love. She is good and pure and harms none."

"Then you plead guilty to the charges of witch craftery?"

"I do." Once more the room exploded in noise as the men were again calling out for her death. He silenced them a second time before regarding her again. "Then with the springs and the warm weather - when the ice breaks you will be brought to the shore and drowned until dead."

Mackenzie sat up with a bolt, coughing as she felt as the cold water sting her flesh like it was her own, coughed as if the water had been filling her own lungs. She hissed suddenly as the cigarette had burned down to the filter and now burned her fingers. She tossed it out the window and looked around. She knew it hadn't been much time but she felt like she had lived that woman's life. She'd a seen, and felt and knew everything she had in her time. She leaned her head back against the seat once more, but stopped herself from closing her eyes.

This was the first Seal, she knew it was that woman's soul and there was only one person that could - that should be in charge of it: Adelaide.

Mac climbed from the car and headed back to the burger place - thankful no more visions of a decaying woman seen. The shop had fewer patrons than before so Mac headed to the counter to speak to the young man behind it. Putting on her best smile she ordered then asked if she could use their phone. He resisted but after she explained that she had left her cell behind and was running from an abusive boyfriend and he would be her hero, he relented.

She grabbed her burger, gave the boy a wink and stepped into the back, dialing Adelaide’s phone number.

Emile chuckled, content that what ever rift that had come between them the night before seemed to be mended. He knew the whole relationship between the two of them was tender and new and far different for each other for entirely opposite reasons. He listened with piqued curiosity as Chase mentioned them being invited to breakfast with one of his friends. It took a moment for him to sort out just which one he was speaking of. "Ash? Erm. Ashley-May?" He asked quietly as he turned to walk with Chase back towards the remainder of the colony. "She pregnant, yes? The one who call you every day." He was certainly willing to listen to what Chase had to tell him about what had happened the night before, certainly after Malcolm had informed him what a Nephilim had been."

As Ash left his sight, "Edgar" smiled at Elijah "Aye, I suppose, though try to consider that by the standards of beings as powerful as I am it could be far worse. Speaking of etiquette..." he lowered his voice "I wouldn't do anything to any of you, but you should probably talk to Ash about the way she talks. Had she talked to that to another deity, or someone like Inari for that matter, she would probably have had her head torn off. And I'm not strong enough to protect her from someone like that at the moment. I fear she wouldn't heed my advice currently."

He nodded a goodbye as he turned around, saying "Have a good day Elijah, I'll speak to you later." as he walked towards the barracks.

Chase nodded at Emile's inquiry on who Ash was. Then he cast Joe's headstone a final glance before turning to leave alongside Emile, "Don't be jealous." Chase said with a smirk at Emile's over-exaggeration that Ashley called everyday. The two strolled casually towards the cemetery exit in no rush. Not only had Ash not called asking him where he was, signaling he wasn't late, but he had plenty to tell Emile about along the way. Normally it might not take so long to get the details out but the language barrier caused some hiccups, hiccups he was rather used to by this point and assumed ahead of time. Not only that but he was sure that the Alpha was going to have questions of his own, and grievances for that matter.

"You seem to take me for a fool, your group murders my kind indiscriminately and yet you would have me trust in the fact that you would not put a figurative if not literal knife in my back. Not only that you would ask me to sully my hands and reputation by helping you force a demon to bend to your will. The answer is no. A thousand times no. I would not help one of you or your brethren if my life depended on it." Da Ji stopped playing with her hair and it fell perfectly back into place as she crossed her arms and gave Solomon a blank expression. " Lucky for you, my father has instructed myself and Himiko to assist if it is towards the common goal, begrudgingly mind you. We have no machinations that we would be extended the same courtesy from your fellow Men of Letters."

" Excellent~ Come, there is a little shop I found with a most surprising selection of tea." Inari gave a warm smile and started walking towards the door and waited respectfully for the vampire to follow him. He smoothed the hair out of his face and his whole facial structure had changed as he gestured to the vampire.

Elijah 8.jpg
Elijah merely nodded to Thor's advice regarding Ashley-May's demeanor when speaking to powerful beings. Part of him agreed with the sentiment; how could he not when it was the woman he loved who put herself at risk by potentially antagonizing deities? Still, he knew better than to broach the subject anytime soon when she was still annoyed with Thor's presence. As the god departed, Elijah shut the door behind him before returning to Ash's side, placing his hands on her hips and tilting his forehead down towards hers. "Are you all right?"

William Main.jpgAdelaide Main.jpg
William and Adelaide approached Brody, the latter remaining by Morgan's side, with her hands clasped in front of her. Will's lips were pursed as he considered how best to approach the subject. He had no doubt Brody knew exactly who he was, his relationship with Mackenzie, and what he had done to Trent. Not to mention what he had done while under Pan's control during the night of the Trial. He knew better than to mince words with the man, deciding to give him the truth and take whatever came next. "It's my fault she's gone. Last night, when Trent and I fought... he bit me. I knew I would turn so I decided to end it before I had the chance to hurt anyone. Mac found out this morning; she left Vitae, but she's on her way back soon. Ash was already in contact with her."

Adelaide's phone buzzed in her pocket and she reached in to fish it out, glancing at the screen. The number was unknown, but she nonetheless answered with a slight frown. "Hello? Mac, is that you?"

Will heard Addy's voice and immediately turned to move toward her, only to be stopped short by a glare from the psychic, whose expression softened slightly and she shook her head.

Solomon couldn't stifle his laughter when Da Ji stated her distrust of his organization simply because they murdered monsters. "I never in my life thought that the empress who tortured and killed so many would refuse to work with someone simply because they were a murderer." Solomon said descending into laughter once again. " Honestly we've been slaughtering one another since Adam left the garden, but when the whole of creation is at risk you suddenly decide you need to trust me? I guess working toward a common goal despite the past is something Yahweh only gifted to humans. You'd be amazed what could be accomplished with you forgive.. Or at least forget. " Solomon shook his head and turned away from the fox empress. "I think if Nu Wa heard what you just said she would be so proud." Solomon chuckled as he departed from the fox. The whole display was an attempt to goad Da Ji into attacking, or a least threatening him. The magic engraved into his body would certainly keep him alive long enough to put an enchanted bullet into the empress and bind at least some of her power. If she did let him go without too much fuss it just meant he expected more than she was worth. He could take care of a cross roads demon by himself, but he needed to gauge the power that the Colony had at its disposal. With the Empress wouldn't go with him perhaps her father would... Or maybe one of the wolfs would be willing to hunt with him.

Emile walked along with Chase slowly as the younger wolf lead him through the colony towards their destination. He spoke little as Chase filled in the details from the night before and Emile was suddenly thankful they hadn't spoken about any of it when he had returned to the pack; he'd been angry, short in the evening after waiting for Chase and to have heard all of what had happened would have certainly set him off. Having the night to sleep on it and the early morning with the colony and re-organizing the pack to return he'd had enough time to think clearly.

There were a few details he needed Chase to explain in different context: while he had been informed of the definition of a Nephilim he didn't know that one could exist without its Grace, nor had he known that one could pass among humans, Grace-less, and never be detected. With that information and the fact that Heaven's Host had been in contact he'd been quite disappointed to hear that Inari had slain one of the angels. The kitsune Alpha certainly could have put the entire colony, and the pack, in unnecessary danger - he certainly wasn't going to broach the topic with the Alpha, but knew he would need to be far more cautious in the future. Chase slowed, and Emile could only assume that they were getting close to their destination, but he didn't want to move onward until everything had been said between them. "Anything else?" He asked with a small smile, the story told would be unbelievable had it come from anyone else.

Franklin followed Inari along towards the door, flagging down one of his Nest members, Tara, and speaking to her quickly. "I will return later today, keep Clay and Leech away from the Clinic and Skye - I don't know what her mood will be when she meets with them and we don't need a fight this early. You have my cell number should you need me." He knew he could trust Tara in doing as she was told; she may have been new to his nest, but she had earned her position.

He soon caught up with Inari and stepped out of the Rec center. Donning a hat and a pair of sunglasses he stuffed his hands into his pockets. For one as old as himself the sun still brought agitation to his skin, even mildly.

Ashley-May felt relief as she heard the door to the house closing, letting their 'guest' out. She continued on with breakfast, now more than ever wanting to eat everything. She momentarily was annoyed with Mac not being here - she wanted the woman to make her pastries, the small hunter was adept as her job but, in Ash's opinion, far superior at baking. It was something that Ash always lacked at, baking was not a talent for her and often her attempts were dismal.

She was roused from her thoughts by Elijah's presence, a rueful smile crossing her lips as she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his shoulders with a soft sigh. "Yes babe, I'm fine, just ... annoyed and embarrassed." She shrugged slightly. "I just wish he'd apologized without making an excuse: it means nothing otherwise." She delivered a quick peck to his lips before glancing at the clock. "You, sir, are falling behind on your duties: where's the coffee?"

Brody turned to listed to William speak, listen to the human explain why his sister had fled. He scowled at him, shaking his head slowly. "You thought your life was your own?" He questioned then, a growl emanating from his throat. "After you took Trent's life?" He scoffed, slowly looking down Will's form then back up, clearly disgusted. "If I had wrongly murdered someone I would be a coward and offing myself in shame. I'd be turning my life and soul over to that man's loved ones." He ignored Morgans nudge - he knew she wanted him to keep his mouth shut, but it was too late. "No wonder she left you."

He would have gone on but he attention was drawn to Adelaide as she answered her phone and spoke his sister's alias. He came closer though with the warning glare she gave Will he kept a slight distance, even from where he was he could easily hear both sides of the conversation."

"Hey Addy," She breathed a sigh of relief as the witched picked up the phone, she wasn't certain the woman would answer the unknown number. "I'm fine, don't worry." She said and glanced up as the burger shop boy passed by the managers office, glancing in at her. She leaned from the chair and swung the door closed before turning to the desk and taking a bite of her burger. "I had a vision, or prophecy I guess." She said after swallowing her mouth full. "And it's right down your alley."

Mac leaned back in her chair, sipping at the coke in her hand before she continued. "The first Seal is the soul of a White Witch who was killed in Boston during the witch trials by drowning. She's never been put to rest, her soul resisted reaping because she worried for her kids after the fact. Since then she's been haunting a building where she had been buried. About five years ago it was dozed and an apartment building was put up. She's been healing and protecting the women that live in that building but she's be losing her touch with this world. Something dark is tainting it, one guess what that is.

"Last week she took her first victim. White female, mid-twenties, blue eyes, dark brown hair. Girl drowned in her living room drinking a glass of water. The girl was a thief of sorts, swindling men out of their money; I'm going to guess the friendly ghost wasn't too happy with the vic. Here's the kicker. We can't send Casper on her way by salting and burning, her soul needs to pass on in either direction for the Seal to be saved. She burns and that soul is gone."

Mac set down her coke, pausing. "I'll be back in the colony in a couple of hours: I need to pick up a few things before then, including some supplies for this hunt." She bit her lip. "Can you keep an eye on Will? He was going to ..." She sighed quietly. "I cut him off, the angels gave us a link, we could feel each other and I blocked him. I don't know what he's thinking now but I need you to watch him. I'd ask Ash but she'd go mother goose on me and it would make things worse. Get in his head if you need to, stop him from doing anything stupid, though I'm not sure that he can as he is now."

Tara dips her head. “Yes sir.” She says, glad he trusts her with this. She would have expected him to ask someone higher up about it, but she’ll certainly do her best to do as he tells her. She goes back to stand with the rest of the nest, watching him go. She told him how dangerous Inari seemed last night, but it seems he’s going to try and get close to him. Good idea, in her opinion, not that it matters.

Ginny is sitting not far off, just enjoying her meal. She’s glad that her job got done, even if it was Will who delivered the message. She’s not enough a part of the colony to take the stress.

Elijah nodded silently as Ashley-May explained the source of her frustration after her confrontation with Thor, but didn't speak. Nothing he could say could fix the tension between the two and the harsh truth of it was that they all had larger concerns at the moment. As Ash pointedly put him back on task, he nodded, stepping back and bowing his head as if cowed. "Ah, yes, our invited guests. I'm on it." Eli flourished exaggeratedly, turning on his heel to continue tending to the coffee, thankful that he hadn't burnt the grounds with his inattention.

Adelaide Main.jpg William 2.jpg
Adelaide listened intently to Mackenzie as she spoke, knowing better than to interrupt the woman. She fully believed that the woman would be true to her word and return and Addy trying to mother hen her in the meantime wouldn't do anything to speed her along. Addy couldn't help but be curious about the prophecy Mac had witnessed and that curiosity was soon sated. The gears in her head were already turning, but the Seal could wait.

She felt no small measure of relief hearing the concern in Mac's voice as she asked the psychic to look after William. Despite what the man had just put her through, maybe the bridge wasn't completely burned. Just as Mac told her to make sure Will didn't do anything rash, Addy nodded to herself before finally replying. "I understand, Mac. I'll see you soon. Be safe, okay?" As if on cue, she heard Brody's harsh words for Will and couldn't help but wince.

William turned to face the wolf, stepping within inches of him. Will was taller than most men, but Brody forced even him to look up to meet his eyes. "Trent attacked me. I took his life and he took mine. Seemed like a fair trade at the time," he remarked with a casual dismissal he didn't feel, one that belied the pang of guilt he felt merely mentioning the man's name. "You're a self-righteous shit, you know that? Especially for a man who's spent the last two decades making his own sister's life a living hell. You were the monster in the dark Mac feared, you know that? You were the thing in her nightmares. You were supposed to protect her and instead you drove her straight to Franklin. Do you even know what he did to her?"

Da Ji narrowed her eyes at Solomon let out a derisive sigh, she reached into her sleeve and threw a knife at Solomon, the knife flew past the man and stopped in mid air. " You can't rile me up, I'm Kitsune~ We perfected the art of manipulation~ As it stands I have... other engagements to tend to, if you're looking for someone to go hunting with, Himiko would be the better option. I don't sorry my hands with such work. That is a calling knife, she'll respond to that because it's from one of us. Try not to get on her bad side, she is Nogitsune.. and you know how volatile they can be" Da Ji walked away from Solomon and continued to track down the Djinn.

Inari lead his Vampire compatriot down an alley and turned to him, "It is about an hour run for us and I'd rather not waste that time... how would you like to... what did the humans used to say? 'Go down the foxhole'?" he gave Franklin a mischievous smile before waving his hand in the air. Where his hand moved by, the air cracked and split open, from what could be seen was a beautiful skyline.

Ginny has just about finished her meal, when she looks up, and sees Da Ji approaching her. She tenses up a bit, not sure what to do about it. She’s never met her up close and personal, but she’s seen her with Inari a lot, so that’s already kind of alarming for her.

She gets up, tugging at her sleeves nervously. “Hello, can I help you?” She asks. She already knows that politeness is always the way to go with Inari, so she’s not going to take risks with Da Ji. She still feels pretty nervous from yesterday, considering that she’s pretty sure Inari considered killing her.

Solomon stopped as the blade floated in front of him and Da Ji explained that he could take Himiko with him. "I appreciate your candor so I hope my attempt at this game didn't give the wrong impression. Empress... I will leave you in peace and take your gift." Solomon said taking hold of the blade. Solomon turned to Da Ji who had already began leaving and smiled back before continuing towards the gate. Solomon wouldn't care admit to anyone but Da Ji both infuriated him and held his respect. While she could use a lesson in humility of wasn't his place to teach her. She had groomed that arrogance centuries before him so her ability isn't in question. It was her cunning and fact that he had feared waned within her prison, but at least now he could trust her not to stab him in the back to save her own skin. Solomon waved up to the gatekeeper who the night before had seemed like an enemy. Truth be told Solomon was beginning to wonder what Yahweh had planned for him and this ragtag group, but only time would tell.
Solomon willed him magic into the calling knife and said, "Himiko, care for a hunt?"

The walk had been a nice one, at the very least he'd gotten everything out there for Emile. It was relieving to an extent to bring him up to speed, having someone on the same page as him as. Chase hadn't held back with any knowledge of what had gone down, except what had gone down between with Jordan in the aftermath. While Chase wanted to be wholly truthful he didn't think it was necessary knowledge and would only strain relations between the two factions more. With how things had gone down recently he and Emile needed to be able trust one another more so he tried to be as thorough as he could be and answer the questions from the other man.

Once they started arriving he slowed his pace lightly, and Emile seemed to catch on with the final question. Chase gave a simple shake of his head, "That's everything, other than asking you to play nice." He gave the man a playful wink before venturing down the small path towards and up the stairs to the front door and knocking. The man knew it was silly to be nervous about this but there was a small part of him that was despite this being nothing more than a casual breakfast. None of the others knew his boyfriend was the Alpha of the pack, and he knew Emile wasn't the biggest fan of Elijah or Will. Chase could only hope those first impressions could be dusted away, similarly to how his and Brody's had been. There was no way to really know who was going to be around for breakfast.

Ashley-May had just taken the tray of bacon out of the over and inserted a tray for breakfast biscuits - one of the few items she did know how to bake- when she heard a knock at the door. She smiled, excited to see Chase on better terms than the night before and to meet his new beau. She tossed the oven mitts onto the counter before striding out of the kitchen, leaving Elijah was a parting smack to his bottom before heading down the short hall to the front door. She promptly swung it open, her smile widening upon seeing the two men on her door step. She stepped out, wrapping her arms over Chase's shoulders and hugging him before leaning back and planting a peck on his cheek. "Glad you could make it." She stepped back, freeing the man before turning her attention to the taller one behind him. She held out her hand in introduction, "I'm Ash, it's nice to finally meet you."

Emile followed Chase up the path to the small house, when he had been in Vitae last they had offered the very same house for him to stay in. While he hadn't accepted it then, doubting his own safety, he found it mildly amusing Chase's friends were currently occupying it. He watched quietly as the blonde opened the door and hugged the younger wolf before turning to greet himself. He took her had and gave it a little squeeze. "Et tu, Madam, my name Emile." He smiled, attempting to seem pleasant and not intimidating. Chase had told him, once, about an awkward conversation between himself and the woman - one involving a vampire and her prejudice in the situation. The last thing he needed was for this to become tense; he truly wanted Chase to keep his connections to those he considered friends in the colony and wouldn't be the reason they failed.

Mackenzie smiled despite herself. "I will, promise. I'll be back soon enough." She hung up the phone with a small sigh. She felt a little better, knowing that Addy would watch over Will for her while she was gone. She knew she wasn't wrong about Ash - that the other woman would go too far with it all and make things worse between them. She finished her burger quickly, not wanting the young man to come back again and headed out front of the shop. He was busy, thankfully, at the counter with other customers so Mac gave him a wave before heading out the door and back to her car.

She knew she couldn't remain hidden from Will for ever - she and he were linked, regardless of what had happened. Decision made she scrounged around the car's cabin looking for Ash's med kit. Finding it she flipped it open and removed several alcohol swabs. She wiped away the runes in place, slowly breaking down the ward that prevent her from feeling Will and vice versa.

Brody sneered at Will as he commented on his and Skye's relationship, about their past. He growled to the man only inches away from him. "You don't know anything about where we were from or what we went through. You don't know the years I spent trying to pull her out of the dark places, trying keep her safe, keep her sane." He stepped forward but Morgan was soon between them, pushing him back and forcing him at a distance. He pushed back, not wanting to give over but he heard her speak his name - his pack name, and he looked down to meet her eyes.

Morgan had been upset with Brody when he had provoked Will but as the hunter spoke casually, dismissively about killing Trent, her head sunk. Addy had spoken wonders about Will, nothing but good and decent things. She had been doubtful, but understanding about what had happened with Trent, but after he spoke to Brody - about Trent and his sister. She couldn't, wouldn't stand it. She force herself between the two men, much smaller than both, though just as strong. "Nita, " She managed to get his attention and she shook her head. "We're leaving."

After a moment she watched Brody nod, step away from Will, it took her another moment to calm herself, the anger and guilt she felt to turn and face him. "I really hope you didn't mean what you said: because you don't know a thing about him. He suffered for years knowing that Skye... Mackenzie, was out there and he couldn't help her, and if you were half the decent man Addy seems to think you are you'd know what he isn't the monster you keep calling him." She glanced to Addy a few feet off. "I'll talk to you later, sometime." She turned to step back with Brody, taking his hand in hers and lead him away, towards the parking lot and his car.

Franklin watched Inari with interest for a moment before smiling, "I believe it was 'rabbit hole', though fox hole would be far more appropriate given your species perchance for mischievous activity, and the notable similar behavior of the actual fox species of animal." He paused briefly musing on whether the animal species received it's notable quirks from the kitsune or vice versa. He was soon drawn from his through and back to Inari and the portal-like vision he drew out before him. "After you."

Elijah heard a knock at the door just as he finished brewing the coffee, having set out four mugs as well as creamer, milk, and sugar. He gave Ash a faux tsk tsk as she gave his rear a smack on the way out of the kitchen, pouring the black coffee into each of the mugs before preparing his and Ash's the way the way each preferred. Once that was done, he brushed his hands off on his shirt before making his way to the front door. He came up behind Ash, first greeting Chase with a firm handshake and a pat on the shoulder. "Welcome back. Haven't had much of a chance to talk with... everything," he said with a shrug. "I hope you're doing all right in spite of it all," Eli remarked with rare sincerity.

Allowing his eyes to drift to where Emile was warmly greeting Ashley-May, he arched a suggestive eyebrow at Chase before teasingly repeating the same phrase he'd used on the man weeks prior: "...or perhaps quite a bit more than all right?"

Will didn't back down as Brody approached him, a low growl reverberating in his chest. His fist was clenched at his side, ready to swing. "That's enough!" Addy hissed and soon Morgan was stepping between them to stop the fight before it could truly begin. Addy pulled Will back by the shoulder as Morgan led Brody away. William watched Morgan as she addressed him, his stone facade cracking with guilt for a brief moment before he spoke quietly under his breath. "I'll believe it when I see it."

Adelaide nodded to Morgan, giving the woman and Brody an apologetic smile and wave as they departed. She sighed once they were out of earshot, turning to look at Will with equal parts sadness and frustration. "You feel better now? Are you out to burn every bridge you can?"

Will raised a hand. "Just... don't, Addy. I know you trust Morgan. I do, too. She's a good person, it doesn't take your gift to see that. But you don't know Brody."

Adelaide rolled her eyes. "Neither do you."

William shrugged. "Maybe not. But I know Mac; I know what he and Malcolm put her through when she was a child. Morgan's only ever seen him as a Pack mate -- I guarantee you every version of that story she's heard has been rosy-colored: the devoted, misunderstood big brother trying save Mac from herself."

Addy scoffed. "And you don't think that maybe your own perspective is skewed? You've only heard Mac's horror stories, Will. I'm not saying she's lying, but she might not--"

Adelaide knew she'd misspoken as soon as she saw the anger flash across Will's face, felt it radiate from him. He didn't say a word, merely turning on his heel to march away, leaving Addy in stunned silence.

The moment the door opened Chase was met with a flurry of blonde hair as the woman pulled him into a hug, the man had an amused smirk as he returned the action with a small squeeze of his own before the released. Momentarily he was grateful she'd not gone for the more normal hug due to his still bruised ribs, whether it was on purpose or not he couldn't be sure. "Thanks for the invite." He responded, noticing smell the strong scents of the food inside, luckily he hadn't eaten the leftovers this morning. As she and Emile had a momentary greeting he couldn't help but smile, "Guess he likes you since you get the charming introduction. The first time we met he was half-naked, wearing my sweatpants, and trying to get me to...submit and join the pack if I remember right. Not to mention I was naked, at first." His brow furrowed slightly as he thought about the interaction, a clear moment when he remembered something causing him to smirk. "I think you called me a pet." Chase teased, reminding Emile he didn't forget things so easily, then turned his attention to Elijah the doorway.

The other man mentioned their lack of a chance to talk and it was true, whether fake or real injuries Elijah seemed to always get wheeled off before they could speak. The last real conversation they'd had was after Joe's funeral, but after last night it was good to see the man up and around. Despite the hunters final comment as he noticed Emile, which caused Chase to scowl lightly with a chuckle and lurch forwards to get inside the home and force Elijah to retreat within to allow Chase in. Skipping any kind of formality of being invited in, as well as potentially forcing Elijah and Emile's introductions inside the home. "I'm doing fine." Chase spoke, pulling out the bottle of painkillers given to him by Ash and shaking it a little in emphasis. "What about you? You looked like hell last night, yet here you are standing upright." He had to admit it was a little confusing overall.

Ashley-May smiled as Emile introduced himself, he seemed pleasant enough. The man certainly was intimidating to be around given just his size and stature -not to mention just exactly who he was. Ash had decided long ago to drop what ever assumptions she had made of 'monsters' after discovering what Chase was. It was certainly hard to curb her train of thought, given her history and her occupation the past five years. She often found herself wondering if they really could just trust every member of the back before banishing the thoughts from her mind: If Chase say's they're trust worthy then they are. Benefit of the doubt. She stepped aside as the two men came into the home, greeting Elijah. She frowned slightly as he made a comment to Chase she didn't quite understand but soon her eyes brows raised to first regard Chase after his statement about his and Emile's introduction before turning her blue eyes on the man standing in the front hall looking puzzled then sheepish. "Well then, we're jumping right into this, aren't we?" She mused, but ushered them further into the house to the living room to sit. "Coffee, tea?"

Emile had paused as Chase commented on just how he was speaking to Ashley-May; it wasn't that he had forgotten the incident, how could he? It was that he was surprised the man would casually toss it out to his friends. How on Earth was he supposed to make a half decent impression when he started with that?! He cleared his throat and nodded as Ash urged him further into the house, following the other two men as they spoke. He recognized Elijah's scent, not just from a mild scent lingering from Chase whenever he returned from the colony, but from the Hunt with Pan. Chase had told him of his friends condition and so he spoke up then. "You know we do not .. erm. The pack do not hate you, oui? We no want to hunt, mais the god do not let us choose." He frowned slightly, already knowing he wasn't making a great first impression. He smiled at Ash's offer. "Thé, s'il vous plait."

Mackenzie frowned as she felt the first tendrils of her connection with Will reestablish. It felt oddly right as she started to be come aware of just where he was, glancing his direction in the distance as though he could see him despite being miles apart. He was angry, and guilty and she couldn't determine if either of those emotions were in relation to her or what she had done. It pained her to think either of them were caused by herself - that wasn't the point of this trip, certainly not something as petty or vindictive as this. She had wanted to do this before, and while she had hoped Will would have been with her, she knew she needed space and time alone to collect herself. There was a great deal happening in the colony, not just between herself and Will, but the Pack and her family were there and she wasn't ready just yet to see them.

She knew if she had stayed where Will left her in the Clinic Brody and Macolm would have come back. She knew she couldn't avoid them forever but she wanted to do this on her terms not theirs. Rubbing her eyes she sighed heavily. She reached for the wheel and gear shift, putting the Beast back into drive to finish her errands and get back to deal with the aftehrmath.
