The Illusions broke when Oz's concentration did. He looked at Joey "trying to restore his memories. Your lucky, I could have broke his mind but I stopped just in time." Oz often made his illustrations stay with the people if he wanted to. Minerva had taught him how at a young age. Maddy sighed. "Can you try again? It looked we were getting somewhere"
" hmm..I see." Allyson said. "Come out to the backyard and show me what you can do."
"Mom... dad..." Daiko responded. He was reaching out where the illusions used to be "Where... where are they?" "Try playing all his memories now." Y said "See if we can fully get him back."
"Of course" He raised his hands, locking them together on level with his stomach and walking to the back of the massive house. There he stopped, thinking of what he can do. For a second, it seemed that he was just standing in the center of a garden, eyes closed, and dozed off, but the very next moment a powerful glow shined around him, as a sphere of light appeared, with Alex being in the center. Its light wasn't nearly as powerful as the sun, but, from this distance, it looked like a star.
" All his memories? That's a lot. I haven't done that in a long time. " Oz wiped some sweat off his forehead. It was hard making illusions. Maddy looked at her cousin. "Please?" He nods. "Yeah I owe you all anyway. You kept Ollie safe." Oz closed his eyes and started playing all the memories in a lightning fast speed.
"Hmm nice" Allyson said watching.
Oz saw all of Joey's memories, even the many years he spent being tortured into submission, the killing of his first girlfriend, the abyss, everything. As the memories played, tears formed in his eyes. As they got close to the end, a spear fell on top of Oz, breaking the connection.
Butch was roused from his nap by a flash of light. He hopped on the fence to witness Alex's spectacle and gave out a compliment. "Cool party trick".
"Ah!" He said when his concentration was broke.
"Shit! Did his mind break?" Joey shouted. Daiko fell to the floor. "I don't know." Y said. Daiko then stood up and slowly walked over to Maddy. He hugged her tightly "Maddy... what am I?"
Alexander seemed troubled, wincing and keeping his hands even closer. After a while, his aura broke into several spheres. Two launched towards the tree, rapidly increasing in size and breaking it, after which they disappeared. The sphere on his arm had grown spikes, resembling a morning star, and he made a throwing motion, launching it in the ground ahead of himself. When the sphere hit the grass, it exploded, and many spikes spurted out of the land around the impact.
Maddy hugged him. " A demon" Oz was on the floor holding his head, tears falling from his eyes.
"Impressive" Allyson said, not really that mad her yard was now destroyed. "You okay?"
Y looked at Joey "Come with me for a bit. We have much to discuss." "Hold it." Daiko let go of Maddy and walked up to Joey. He punched him in the jaw, sending Joey to the floor "Stay the hell away from my girlfriend you bastard." Y smiled "He's back." Joey was holding his jaw in pain.
"yeah he's back."Maddy smiled she went over to Oz. "Oz.." He didn't say anything.
"It was like I was trapped in a nightmare." Daiko replied "... I need some time off. I hope you don't mind." He said looking at Maddy "I was gonna head down to get some drinks... you interested?"
Maddy was talking with Oz. " come on Oz, you okay?" He nods. "Yeah..just too much at one time.." He wiped away his tears. "Go have fun with your demon boyfriend" Maddy smiles before hugging Oz. "Thanks." She looked at Daiko. "Sure."
"Looks like it used up a lot of your energy." She said walking over to him.
"It did, sadly, and does every time I try to use it to a larger extent. I just... can't" He sighed, raising and smiling.
"That's like one of my friends, her powers rely on her energy" she said smiling
Butch looked at the kid who seemed awfully happy about chaos and destruction. Butch had a bit of a chaotic side himself so he guessed it wasn't bad. "Well I can't really offer advice".
"Well... to some degree, I am manipulating energy, just my own" He looked at her, then his gaze drifted to a cat "Also, is this your permanent form, or you can shift it?"
"Nah, as far as I know I'm the world's first, and only talking cat. Who builds robots... Actually I do a lot of things cats don't usually do" said Butch.
"I'm intrigued" He chuckled, eyeing cat with a perceptive gaze.
