He detected nothing. They reached the throne room and it was empty. "Where is everyone?" Joey asked as he looked around. The place wasn't just empty, it was ransacked. Valuables, armor, everything was gone. "I'm gonna check around." Joey said as he swam around the large palace.
"My Spider-Sense I'm getting... nothing. Nothing at all." He looked around. "Medic, Spider-Man go with him." Fury said. "Got it." Peter said.
Sarya followed quickly behind Jackson. She saw the woman from earlier. It looked like she had fallen to the ground. There were three large men standing over her with knives. Sarya gave a shot shriek that knocked the men back away from the woman. She stood up and ran out of the alley.
"Alright." Jackson said walking over to them. "So who's first." He smirked.
Joey went into what looked like a library, yet all the shelves were completely empty. He passed by a strange table "These Pacificans have advanced technology... seems like they emptied out the archives before leaving." Joey said as he looked around. Suddenly there was loud beeping all over the kingdom "That's not GOOD" Joey shouted as explosions went off all around the entire kingdom. Debris began to fall on top of them all.
Peter's Spider-Sense went off before the explosions near them went off. He grabbed Joey and began to to put the upgrades to good use moving a gracefully in the water as he does on land. "GET BACK TO THE SUB!" Namore yelled. (Welp I really was hoping that this was the end of the war but... okay.)
Sarya hung back slightly. Jackson was better at hand to hand combat but she wasn't going to let him do it alone. The first two of the men charged Jackson with a knife while third charged Sarya. She ducked his swing and kicked him in the stomach. He straightened up and charged again. She dodged him again but this time he caught her foot and threw her against the alley wall. She stood up as he came at her again. She narrowed her eyes and focus on the water in his body. Once she had control of it she ripped it from him leaving him to fall to the ground dead.
(Did you really think it would be that easy?)
Peter helped him to hold up the debris. "Can't you use a portal to get us out of here?" (Okay well I really want to start the infinity war arc soon. Later today or tomorrow if if possible)
"But he was going to kill that woman. Was I wrong?" She said after Jackson dispatched the other two. She didn't think she had done anything wrong. It was a just killing. She looked at him confused.
"We need to be better than them. Don't stoop to their level to fight them." He said.
"No can do. We're at the bottom of the ocean. The water pressure alone will cut the helicarrier in half" Joey replied "We're dealing with the entire ocean pushing down on us, that's why we had to pressurize in advance before departing the sub. Not to mention are bodies interiors are pushing out." He opened a portal above them to catch debris "If I opened a portal to a higher point with less external pressure, our bodies would pop like balloons with tomato sauce." He opened up another portal next to them "Go through here, it leads outside the kingdom."
"Not... without... you..." Peter said he had held his own very well against 100+ tons of marble and stone and but he was starting to buckle under the weight.
It didn't make much sense to Sarya but she trusted him. "Should we call the cops?" she asked.
"Yeah that one." He said. He used his nanites to turn the dead body to stone and then stomped on it breaking it into pieces to keep from getting into trouble for murder.
Sarya watched embarrassed. She had always known that her moral compass was off but now she felt like a scolded child. "I'm sorry." She said walking to stand near Jackson,
"It's okay." He said taking her hand. "I just called the cops. Our work here is done. Let's go."
She smiled and followed him out of the alley. "Where to now? There still the haunted house." She said
Joey opened a portal near Peter "Let me make that easier on you." He opened up a large portal above the group to catch any debris (Despite the fact he already had one open.)
"I'm not leaving without you!" Peter said.
"There is." He said. "Is that what you want to look at."
She thought for a second. "It's probably not the best idea. I hate jump scares and my shriek so." She said. They had stopped walking and she was leaning against him arm.
(... How many portals do I need to open for Peter to understand that Joey is fine?) "Peter, it's a portal that leads outside the kingdom. I get you love drama but for the love of god and humanity, THEY HAVE A NUKE!" He shouted as he opened up another portal. "Also, are you blind? We got two giant portals above us catching all debris, one portal to catch the debris you were holding, one portal currently getting Namor, Fury and Eris out of here, and finally." He opened a portal next to them "One special VIP access to Hawaii for you and me. Are you gonna keep up this drama or are you going to finally realize that I have the ability to manipulate space and hypothetically in some instances time on a scale that affects the multiverse?"
(Ugh.... You made it confusing) Peter went through thr portal.
